1/6/20-1/10/20: When Ciara confronts Victor about him setting Ben up for Jordan's murder, he suffers a stroke. Maggie, Brady and Ciara pray that Victor will survive the surgery to remove the blood clot. Nicole is stunned when she learns she will be working with Kristen at Basic Black. Lani, continuing to let people think she is a nun, seeks help from JJ. JJ says she can move in with him and he will keep her secret. Brady tells John he has lost Nicole and Kristen. Xander warns Ciara not to cause trouble for him. She retorts that she is not afraid. Kate tries to convince Will not to divorce Sonny. Evan is about to kiss Sonny when Rafe arrives. Hope/Gina tells Rafe she is firing him from the police force. He tells her he will fight it with the Union as he has done nothing wrong. Kayla tries to deal with the news that Steve is in love with another woman. Jack is furious, unaware that Steve is really Stefano, by Steve's callous attitude. Eli is supportive of Gabi when he thinks her crime against Lani was making her beg, not that she has control of Julie's pacemaker. With Ben losing his appeal in his death sentence case, Clyde suggest they break out. Steve, aka Stefano, lets Kristen know he is her father.

1/13/20-1/17/20: Needing a place to stay, Lani moves in with JJ. JJ is stunned when he learns Gabi is blackmailing him by controlling Julie's pacemaker. Kayla is concerned when Julie's battery is low. Kayla admits to Marlena that Steve hurt her by saying he has another woman in his life. Abe is thrilled when he gets a call from Lani. Kristen tells Gabi she is not giving anyone her shares in DiMera. Stefano decides to make John and Marlena breakup by each one thinking the other is dead. The first step is to send John to Europe in search of Stefano. Clyde wants Ben to break out of prison and bring Ciara with him. Ciara is stunned when she learns it was Will that was sent to prison, even though he is innocent.
 
1/20/20-1/24/20: The residents of Salem recall last year's Mother's Day. It was a day filled with hope and tragedy. Kristen recalls losing her baby right after she gave birth. Blaming Haley for what happened, Kristen takes lethal revenge. Sonny and Will decide they want a sibling for Arianna. Will is rushing home when he thinks he slammed into an oncoming car. Sarah and Adrienne are in the vehicle. Xander, aware of the accident after Sarah calls him, rushes to the accident site. He helps Sarah deliver Baby Mickey. After the birth. Xander finds Maggie in another car, passed out drunk. He realizes Maggie caused the accident. Fearing what could happen to Maggie, Victor and Xander decide to keep it secret and let Will take the fall. Justin is heartbroken when Kayla tells him Adrienne is dead.
 
1/27/20-1/31/20: Salem citizens recall last year's Mother's Day. It is filled with tragedy and stunning twists. Adrienne was killed in an auto accident. Everyone thinks it happened because Will was texting. In fact, a drunken Maggie caused the accident, which she does not remember. After Ciara learns the truth, Victor warns her to keep the secret. Ciara heads straight to the prison and tells Will. A stunned Will wonders if they should keep quiet, as Maggie will be shattered. Kristen and Brady talk about their baby who died on Mother's Day. In truth, the baby is fine. Xander switched the baby with Kristen and lets Sarah think her baby is fine. Sarah's baby died from the result of the car accident caused by Maggie. Eric and Sarah — who think Mickey is their daughter — are crushed when they learn Mickey's chemo did not stop the progression of the cancer. The only hope is a bone marrow transplant. In Prague to search for Stefano, John and Stefano run into Anna and Tony. When Anna yammers on about what a monster Stefano is and Tony says he is done with his father, Stefano is enraged. John is taken aback by the reactions of the person he thinks is Steve. Going through Steve's luggage, John finds Stefano's ring. Stefano walks in on John and John's discovery. Asked by Rafe to come to Salem because of Hope's odd behavior, Shawn realizes that Hope has been taken over by Gina. Crushed when they learn neither of them is a match for Mickey, Eric and Sarah search for a marrow donor. Xander is wracked with guilt because he knows Kristen or Brad, the real bio parents, would most likely be a match. Just as Marlena realizes Hope is princess Gina, Gina kidnaps her and takes her to Stefano's lair. Hattie and Kate bond over the secret about Stefano. Stefano trusses John up like a salami in a deli window. Hope/Gina arrives, pretending to set John free. Brady tells Nicole they need to let Eric know they are not lovers.
 
2/3/20-2/7/20: It really is love in the afternoon. Nicole and Eric realize they cannot be apart. Kristen is overjoyed when Brady says he wants to move forward in a relationship. She swears she will not ruin things this time. Thinking he has caught Sarah making love to Eric, Xander is stunned when she says she and Eric did not have sex and she loves Xander. Nicole is suspicious when Xander insists Brady be tested as a bone marrow transplant for baby Mickey. Maggie is racked with guilt because she was home drunk when Sarah had to give birth at the side of the road. Maggie is unaware that she, not Will, was responsible for Adrienne's death. Told the truth about the accident from Ciara, Will wonders what to do, as Maggie would be defeated if she knew. Justin is surprised when Sonny tells him he and Evan are a couple. Evan panics when he gets information on his sketchy past. Marlena and John refuse to believe the other is dead. Chad realizes Stefano has taken over Steve's body. Ben is sentenced to be executed in three weeks. Marlena is stunned when Steve reveals he is really Stefano. John is equally stunned when Gina reveals her true identity. Rafe is off to Prague to locate Princess Gina. Kristin dodges Abby and Chad when they suggest that Stefano has taken over Steve's body. Clyde convinces Ben to bust out of prison with him.
 
2/10/20-2/14/20: Gabi does not believe Chad and Abby when they warn her about Stefano. Having been shot by Chad, Steve seeks medical attention from Kayla. After she tends to wounds, she prepares to leave. He convinces her to stay for her safety and the safety of their children. When Kayla does not arrive to do her procedure, Julie decides to have someone else switch her pacemaker. This will put Gabi's plan to take control of the pacemaker at risk, as the original doctor must do the procedure. Rescued, John and Marlena realize nothing can keep them apart. Princess Gina pretends to be Hope. Neither Rafe nor Shawn believe her. When Shawn tries to talk Gina into being his mother, Gina says Hope is never returning. Learning Ben is planning to escape from jail, Ciara comes along for the ride. Despite Ben's pressure to make her go, Ciara insists she has no life without him so she is staying. Hiding in the cabin, the duo recall their first meeting at the secluded site. Kate saves Marlena from being stabbed by Gina but is arrested for her part in Stefano's plot. JJ plots to stop Gabi and Eli's wedding.
 
2/17/20-2/21/20: Kayla is stunned when the man she thinks is Steve reveals he is Stefano. Justin frets when he cannot locate Kayla. When Will does not sign divorce papers, Sonny wants to know the hold up. He says he is lawyer still has them and it will take awhile before he can get them. As Sonny leaves, Will thinks of how much he still loves Sonny. Will also knows if he reveals that a drunk at the time Maggie was responsible it will ruin too may lives. Brady is unhappy when Victor asks Theresa to get Tate tested to see if they may be a match for baby Mickey without consulting him. Sarah is overjoyed when she learns there is a bone marrow match for her cancer-stricken daughter. On the run after breaking out of jail, Ben tells Ciara she cannot go with him. When she suggests David's bio dad killed Jordan, Ciara agrees to stay in Salem. Just as Ben is headed out, Rafe arrives at the door. Roman, impressed that Hattie put herself on the line to save Marlena, says he sees her in a different light and kisses the besotted Hattie. At the wedding, Gabi's treachery is exposed. She tries to deny it. The jig is up when she presses the device to make Julie's pacemaker go out of control. In truth, Julie is scamming her. Rafe looks on as his sister tries to justify her ill deeds. Lani tells Eli she loves him. After a passionate kiss, Eli tells her he loves her but cannot be with her. He feels she betrayed him by not telling him what Gabi was doing. Lani says he is the only man she will ever love and will forever. Jennifer is crushed when she learns her father, Bill, suffered a fatal heart attack in Cape Town. Jack, Jennifer, Abby and JJ head to South Africa to bring him home. Chad stays behind to watch the children. Chad is in trouble with the law as did not call the police when he found Ben and Ciara in the guest house. Kristen dreams the baby Rachel, who she thinks died but Xander switched it with Sarah's dead baby, is asking her for help. With Marlena still being stalked by Stefano, John swears he will protect her. Everyone is thrilled when a match is found for Mickey. Many are suspicious of the match. As Ben is about to go on the run, Rafe arrives. Ciara bashes Rafe over the head with a baseball bat. Ben runs, and Rafe arrests Ciara for assaulting an officer. Ben arrives at the police station and turns himself in. As Victor tells Will he can get him released from prison and will give him a king's ransom. Maggie starts to recall what happened the night of the car crash that killed Adrienne, Nicole scoffs when Kristen wants her to apologize for letting her think she and Brady were an item. A furious Sonny visits a jailed Gabi. The DA gives Gabi a take it or leave it deal — 10 years no parole or a trial which could lead to a life sentence.
 
2/24/20-2/28/20: Julie and Valerie convince Eli he needs to talk to Lani and let her back in life. Joy turns to horror when Eric and Sarah learn Gabi is the perfect bone marrow match for Mickey. Gabi will only give her marrow if the DA agrees to reduce her 10-year, no-parole prison sentence. The DA tells them no. Having given himself up, Ben prepares for his execution. Knowing Ben is innocent, Ciara thinks David's biological father may have murdered Jordan. After receiving a second threatening letter, Evan makes a phone call and says: "We are in trouble. I need your help." A reluctant Rafe agrees to look at Ciara's proof. Noticing an irregularity in the DNA from the murder scene, Rafe thinks Ciara might be right. Maggie insists to Victor and Xander that she, not Will, was driving the car that killed Adrienne. Sonny walks in as Maggie announces she was drunk and responsible for the deadly car crash. Chad learns Gabi is no longer CEO of DiMera. Horrified that her drunk driving killed Adrienne, Maggie turns herself into police. Sonny is furious that Victor and Xander's lie caused Will to be arrested and destroyed his marriage. Going to visit Will, Sonny asks for forgiveness and is grateful that Will lied to protect him and Maggie. Abe gets the DA to give into Gabi's terms — no jail time in return for her bone morrow that will save baby Mickey's life. Lani and Eli make love. The day before his execution, Ben relives the good and bad of his life. Ciara is getting closer to find Jordan's murderer. Roman romances Hattie. Stefano tells Justin he wants $10 million in return for Kayla's release. When Justin suggests the real Steve will return, Stefano says Steve Johnson is forever gone. Despite everyone's misgivings, Kristen and Brady are certain their love will last forever. Victor gives Justin the money to free Kayla. Thanks to the drugs that Stefano slipped him, Chad suffers horrific nightmares.

3/2/20-3/6/20: Ciara is horrified as Ben is about to be executed. Thanks to Rafe, she realizes that Evan killed Jordan. A gun-totting Ciara takes Jordan's real murderer, Evan, to the execution site. At first, she fears it is too late to save Ben, but he opens his eyes and they share their love. Rafe is horrified when he cannot find David. Evan insists he is good hands but refuses to say who has the toddler and where he is. With Will released from prison, Sonny says how much he loves him. Maggie is heartsick that her drunk driving cost Adrienne her life. She wants to go to prison. She rails at Victor when he says he will not allow that to happen. Eventually, Maggie thanks Victor for always being in her corner and grasps his hand. The ob-gyn who switched Kirsten and Brady's baby for Sarah and Eric's tells Xander she can no longer keep his secret. Xander refuses Victor's order that he kill the medico. Xander warns the doc that he is a bad guy, but Victor makes him look like Tom Hanks. Everyone is thrilled when Mickey responds to the bone marrow transplant. Nicole realizes Xander is keeping a secret about the baby and plans to find out what is going on. Determined to get Hope back, Shawn has Gina set for an MRI. Back from Bill's funeral in Africa, Jack and Jennifer say that JJ wanted to spend time over there and Abby has decided to stay with him. Jack warns Chad not to fall for Stefano's plot. Marlena agrees to switch herself for Kayla. She, John and Justin have a plan that will rid everyone of Stefano aka Steve. Kayla assures him she knows Steve is in there somewhere. She says the love they share and the fact they have children will bring Steve back to Kayla. Learning that Kate covered for Stefano, Roman fires her and throws her out of the room above the bar.
 
3/9/20-3/13/20: Ben and Ciara celebrate his being free of murder charges and say they will always be together. Dr. Rolf injects Marlena and then puts in a microchip to make her love Stefano. Stefano is furious when she comes to and mentions John. Rolf tells him it will take time but she will realize she loves him. The MRI shows Hope has a microchip, but Kayla fears it is too dangerous to remove it. She thinks since Rolf put it in, he needs to remove it. Kayla realizes one of Rolf's microchips caused Steve to think he is Stefano. Jack wants his brother back, but fears it will mean the end of Kayla and Justin's romance. Tossed out of the pub by Roman, Kate moves back to the mansion. Chad gets Kate to give him her DiMera shares by promising to pay her legal fees and giving her millions of dollars. Ordered by Stefano to kill Kate, Chad prepares to stab her in the back. Gabi tries to comfort Rafe when he cannot locate David. Rafe thinks what Gabi did to Julie was awful, but says he loves her because she is his little sister, but does not understand the things she does. Will snaps at Victor for keeping him in prison for the drunk driving accident, when he knew he was innocent. Sonny understands Will's anger, but he still loves his Uncle Vic. Nicole prepares to expose Xander's baby secret. Brady and Kristen continue to mourn the death of their baby girl, Rachel. John gets Gina to help him find Marlena.
 
3/16/20-3/20/20: As Ben awaits release from prison, he and Clyde share a father and son moment. Gina strikes a deal with Rolf. He will only pretend to remove the chip, and she will pretend to be Hope. Jack and Jennifer think Hope is acting strange. Orpheus turns out to be Evan's father and they have David. John continues his search for Marlena. Stefano is unhappy when Chad does not carry out his order — kill Gabi and Kate. Chad promises to do the job. Taking a swab of baby Mickey, Nicole sets out to prove Sarah and Eric are not Mickey's parents. Xander and Sarah announce they are engaged.
 
3/23/20-3/27/20 (alternate column): Chad struggled to hide the truth from Abigail. Kate was trapped with Gabi. Sonny urged Evan to do the right thing. Released from prison, Ben reunited with Ciara and they enjoyed a day of romance. Kayla filled in the blanks for Hope. Maggie said goodbye to loved ones before heading to prison. Nicole got answers about Mickey and confided her suspicions to Abe. Hattie pressed Roman about his feelings for her and made a surprising decision about her future. Eric expressed concern to Sarah about Xander's role in Mickey's life. Stefano proposed to Marlena, who was conflicted when she felt John reaching out to her. Anna and Abigail grew suspicious about Chad's behavior. While searching for Marlena, Brady and John sought help from Hope. Abigail made a shocking discovery.

5/4/20-5/8/20: Coming to after being stabbed by Kristen, Victor tells Eli Kristen, not Brady, stabbed him. Eli says Brady is still under arrest because he covered for Kristin. Rex, in Paris for a medical convention, runs into Sarah, who has the kidnapped baby, Rachel, with her. Rex talks her into returning the baby, until she realizes Kristen will be taking care of the child. Rex attempts to call Kristen to tell her Sarah's whereabouts. Kristen cold cocks Rex and binds and gags him. She takes off the gag, but puts it back on when Rex is relentless about her needing to return that baby to its parents. When he visits Maggie in jail, Xander reveals why he and Sarah called off the wedding, Maggie horrified by the baby switch remembers she not only killed Adrienne in her drunk driving she killed Sarah's baby. The custody trial for baby David begins. Everyone is stunned when a man who claims to be Jake looks just like Stefan. Gabi, certain he is, pulls him into a kiss. When tests show his eyesight in his patched eye has not been restored, Steve moves into Hope's house. The duo destroy Stefano's portrait and burst out laughing. Two goons beat Ben to a pulp. Everyone is stunned when Abby continues to hallucinate. Gabi swears she did not drug her. Abby sneaks out of the hospital and disappears. Eli is furious when he realizes Lani helped Kristin escape. The goons who beat up Ben mistook him for Jake. Gabi and everyone else thinks he is Stefan, which he denies. Gabi pulls him into a hot kiss. First, he pushed her away, but then he kisses her back. Just as Sarah is about to take the baby on the run, her nosey next-door neighbor arrives. Furious with Lani helping Kristen escape, Eli tells Lani he cannot trust her as a wife. Kristen knocks on a door, which may lead her to baby Rachel. Brady wonders if Kristen will return. Still in the hospital due to Kristen stabbing him, Victor tells Xander her is proud of him. A touched Xander grasps Victor's hand. Jack and Jennifer are horrified when they learn Abby is missing.

5/11/20-5/15/20: Ciara and Ben are delighted when Hope gives their engagement her blessing. Gabi refuses to believe that Jake is not Stefan. "Jake" is frustrated when his calls to a mystery person go unanswered. Jake accepts Ben is a changed man, after Ben reveals his murderous past. Furious that Lani helped Kristen flee Salem, Eli softens and tells her that he understands and will not tell Rafe. Rafe is thrilled when Evan is found guilty and sentenced to 20 years. Visiting Rolf in prison, Gabi gets him to give her a serum that could make Jake realize he is Stefan. The jig is up when Jake sees the vial and pries it away from her. Hope comes on the scene when Steve is visiting Adrienne's grave. Kayla is also on the scene as Justin reveals how much he loves his late wife. In Paris, Rex tries to get Sarah to give back baby Rachel. When Rex does not prevail, Sarah heads to the train station. Kristen comes along and convinces Sarah to give her the baby. Brady is thrilled when he is reunited with Kristin and the baby. The joy turns to sorrow when Kristen says she must go away with the baby, as she will be arrested for stabbing Victor. Abby's family tries to deal when it appears her multiple personalities have returned. Visiting Maggie in prison, Sarah assures her mother she does not hate her. Rafe is stunned when Zoey tells him what really happened the night Sarah's baby and Adrienne died. Her father, Orpheus, drugged Maggie and threw her into her car. With Orpheus at the wheel, the car swerved, causing the accident that killed Sarah's baby and Adrienne. Eric is furious when he learns Brady let Kristen leave town with baby Rachel.
 
5/18/20-5/22/20: Brady tells Victor the only way he will forgive Victor is if he fires Xander. Victor doesn't want to since Xander saved Maggie's life, but he gives in. Xander hits rock bottom as Sarah wants nothing to do with him and he has lost his job. Justin overhears Kayla referring to Steve as the love of her life. Orpheus orders Marlena to give him $10 million or John will die. Zoey convinces Rafe she does not want her father to get near to David. Ben and Ciara continue to make wedding plans. Jake says Gabi is crazy when she insists he is Stefan. Gabi is arrested for drugging Abby. Abby agrees to seek treatment in Florida. Rolf tells Gabi he had nothing to do with Jake/Stefan but maybe someone else did. Xander realizes a drunken Sarah slept with Brady. Learning Maggie had nothing to do with Adrienne or her baby's death, Sarah bonds with her mother. Sonny confronts Evan about his misdeeds. Having kidnapped David, Orpheus pistol-whips John.

5/25/20-5/29/20: Eli is jubilant when he learns Lani is pregnant. She is afraid the baby will be stillborn, which happened with their last child. Hope convinces Steve to tell Kayla he loves and wants to be with her. At the same time, Justin is at Adrienne's telling her he plans to ask Kayla to marry him. Despite Gabi's pleas and nagging, "Jake," whom she insists is Stefan, tells her she is crazy. When she tells him about not being to have any more children because of the beating she took in prison, he is genuinely touched by her story. When she takes it as a sign she cares, he pulls away and tells her he wants her to stay away from him. At the garage, the goons who roughed up Ben return. Ciara comes on the scene. The men are about to rape her when Ben attempts to stop them, Ciara steps in and reveals Ben is the famed necktie killer. Before the two take off, they warn they will be back. Ben decides to confront Jake about his past and why the duo is after him. Ciara convinces Julie to officiate when she marries Ben. A pistol-packing Justin arrives as Orpheus is about to flee. Steve arrives and disarms Justin. Justin is furious. Kayla tells Justin that an act of violence will not help. Agreeing, Justin says he will get rid of Orpheus legally. Abby, who is headed to a hospital to deal with emotional issues, agrees to let Chad go with her. Steve and Hope are not interested in getting keys to the city for being heroes. Sarah and Brady plot Xander's downfall. At Adrienne's gravesite, Justin asks her for a sign if she gives it her blessing. Just then, Sonny arrives and gives his dad his blessing. Sonny and Will want another child. Nicole calls Sami to tell her that she and Eric are getting married. Sami then texts Eric to tell him he is a fool and cannot marry the witch.

6/1/20-6/5/20: Alone in his CEO office, Brady reveals his real reason for taking over as head of Titan. He plans to ruin the company and destroy Victor. Ciara is suspicious when she shows a proposed program for Titan and later finds the suggestion in the trash. Marlena walks in as Sarah rages at Victor. Taking Sarah aside, Marlena asks Sarah if she still loves Xander a charge Sarah cannot confirm or deny. Opening the door to Claire, Ciara says she forgives her for lighting the barn on fire while she was in it. Claire pushes Ciara to become her maid of honor. Deciding to have sex to destroy Xander, Brady and Sarah prepare to do the deed. The plan fails when Brady cannot perform as he is overwhelmed with thoughts of Kristen and baby Rachel. Sarah admits to Brady she still loves Xander. Sarah is touched when Xander has a headstone for the baby she lost. Desperate to save Gabi, Jake gives the henchmen a phony copy of "Crime and Punishment," which contains notes in the margin that are important to the mob. Just as the mobsters are about to kill Gabi, Eli and Lani arrive on the scene to rescue Gabi. In the middle of the melee, Lani gets a wave of morning sickness. A freed Gabi tells Jake she still thinks he is Stefan. Allie refuses to reveal her baby's father, as it will make her mother furious. Nicole tells Lucas telling Sami will make things worse. Hopped up on mind-altering drugs, Ben thinks it is Ciara. Using superhuman strength, Ben does not harm the object he thinks is Ciara. Hope arrives on the scene, punches out Vincent and saves Ben. Eve is nowhere to be found. Ben does not let Ciara know he is still tormented by the experience. Allie is horrified when she learns Will knew what Sami did to stop Rafe from adopting her baby. After giving birth to her son, Allie tells Will and Sonny they cannot have the baby. Sonny is outraged when he learns Will knew of the plan.
