1/4/10-1/8/10: Troy hired an assassin, Al, to take out Arianna and then was angry to learn Al's chances to kill Arianna had been interrupted by an unwitting Brady. Disguising her voice, Anna demanded Sami and EJ come up with a $5 million ransom for Sydney's return. Rafe told EJ that he's back in the FBI and then later heard EJ ask Sami if they should tell Rafe about the ransom demand. As Anna was thinking about taking off, the person who hired her to help kidnap Sydney confronted her. Nicole told Brady that she now realizes he's the one she loved, but he said their time had passed. Arianna was upset to realize that Brady still loves Nicole. Nicole was led out of Salem in chains after the judge gave her a 20-year prison sentence for her crimes. Vivian told Bo that she saw Hope and Justin kissing. Justin told Bo to decide if he wants to be with Hope or Carly. Gus told Vivian that they would soon know the identity of Carly's child.

1/11/10-1/15/10: Maggie told Hope that she failed to resuscitate Mickey, who died suddenly while pacing for a trip they had planned. Hope, Doug, and Julie comforted Maggie. When Anna wanted to know when she could deliver the next ransom demand for Sydney, her "boss" JR reminded her that she is being paid to take care of the child. Anna, who wants to return to Bora Bora, backed down when JR made it clear that she's replaceable as Sydney's caretaker. EJ later told Sami that he received another ransom demand for Sydney's return. Rafe saw EJ and Sami when they went to make the ransom drop. Hope blasted Bo after realizing that he had slept with Carly. On Troy's orders, Al tried again to kill Arianna, but Brady rescued her after the "robbery" that was part of Al's effort to kill her. Melanie and Philip set a February wedding date. Carly learned of Melanie and Philip's marriage plans. Melanie overheard Bo and Carly talking about her.
 
1/18/10-1/22/10: Carly was stunned when she heard Melanie talking about the terrible childhood she endured with Trent and how glad she is that both her parents (who raised Carly's daughter) are dead. Carly had a nightmare in which Vivian killed Melanie. Carly was upset to see Vivian helping Melanie with her wedding plans. After Carly tried to warn Melanie that Vivian is dangerous, a suspicious Vivian asked Gus to get all the information he can find on Melanie's past. Confronting Sami and EJ on the pier with the ransom money, Rafe called in the FBI and took over the ransom drop. Rafe and Sami later got a fax from the "kidnappers" stating they would never see Sydney again. Anna wondered whether EJ has any intention of ever returning Sydney to Sami. EJ saved Arianna when Troy tried to strangle her. At the police station, EJ blurted out that Arianna is a narc when Troy heard her say the word "Caesar" (Roman's code name).

1/25/10-1/29/10: Vivian got proof that Melanie is Carly's daughter and relished the prospect of doing away with Melanie while Carly has to watch her daughter die. Meanwhile, Carly thawed Melanie's coldness toward her when she treated Melanie for a minor hand injury. EJ attempted to cover up his involvement with Sydney's abduction from Stefano, who realized that EJ is hiding the truth. When Rafe's inability to bring Sydney home drove him and Sami apart, EJ acted sympathetic, but was privately elated to see his plan working so well. With Troy having heard Arianna use Roman's code name, the undercover operation was ruined. Rafe used his FBI contact to prevent Arianna from being sent back to prison.

2/1/10-2/5/10: Arianna told a surprised Roman that Anna is back in Salem. Anna covered when Roman asked why she's in town. At Roman's request, Anna talked to Sami and came face to face with Rafe. Anna got nervous and had to leave when Sami talked about a missing Sydney. Rafe told Sami that he is still convinced Anna could be a lead to Sydney's whereabouts. Victor wasn't happy when Justin said he is going after Hope. Ciara got upset when she saw Bo kissing Carly, but he smoothed things over. Justin stalled Vivian while Hope stole the puzzle box and later learned Carly's secret is that she has a daughter. Kate took a gift box containing Vivian's mystery weapon she planned to kill Melanie with, but Vivian later got the box back. Melanie admitted to Carly that she is torn between her feelings for Nathan and Philip, but she intends to marry Philip.

2/8/10-2/12/10: Gus kidnapped Carly after she realized that Vivian knows Melanie is her daughter. Via a Webcam, Vivian let Carly watch on the screen as she inserted a poisoned comb in Melanie's hair as she dressed for her wedding. Carly managed to overpower Gus, tie him up, and then texted Vivian (pretending to be Gus) to meet "him" in the basement where Gus had been holding Carly prisoner. Carly had it out with Vivian, who taunted that Melanie was dying, but Hope burst in and told Carly that Victor had thwarted Vivian's attempt to kill Melanie. Vivian escaped and ran off to kill Melanie, but Carly, who had Hope's gun (Hope had been knocked unconscious), took off after Vivian. Melanie and Philip said their "I do's" while Chloe prevented Nathan from interrupting the wedding by telling Melanie that he loves her. Chloe and Daniel were thrilled to learn she's pregnant. Sami refused when EJ wanted her to dump Rafe.

2/15/10-2/19/10: Bo found an unconscious Hope and got her to the hospital, where she later recovered. Vivian arrived at Melanie and Philip's wedding reception and convinced Melanie to go up to the roof to talk. Carly arrived as Vivian was about to push Melanie off the roof. Melanie was shot during a scuffle between Vivian and Carly, who had Hope's gun. Daniel and Lexie operated on Melanie, who remained unconscious after surgery. Melanie opened her eyes after Carly begged her to live. Victor warned Vivian that Melanie better survive. Bo took Vivian into custody. EJ threw Sydney's clothes in the harbor and then arranged for Rafe to find them. Sami blamed Rafe for their not rescuing Sydney after DNA tests showed blood on the clothes was Sydney's. When EJ said he wanted Sami to suffer, Anna asked if he was going to kill her. EJ plans to split, taking Johnny and Sydney with him. Daniel and Chloe learned she's not pregnant.
 
2/22/10-2/26/10: Melanie was stunned when Carly revealed that she's Melanie's mother. Melanie reacted with anger after Carly said she gave Melanie up for adoption to protect her from Lawrence. Carly admitted that she killed Lawrence, and Melanie believed that she was the cause of his murder and the reason Vivian is out to kill her. Melanie blasted Carly for letting her grow up with her abusive adoptive father Trent, whom Melanie believed was her real father. Carly didn't give an answer when Melanie wanted to know who her biological father is. Vivian entered Melanie's hospital room intent on smothering her, but decided to let her live after Melanie said she understood why Vivian wanted to kill her. Rafe and Sami made love after he said he's going to find out what happened to Sydney. To look like a hero, EJ told Sami that he received another ransom note for Sydney, so she may be alive. Maggie had a dizzy spell. Mia vowed to get Chad back.

3/1/10-3/5/10: Bo heard Philip tell Melanie that he'd support her if she says Carly shot her on purpose. Wanting revenge against Carly for giving her up as a baby, Melanie lied to Bo that Carly shot her on purpose even though her shooting was an accident. Thinking that Chloe knew Daniel is Melanie's father, Carly blurted the fact out to a stunned Chloe. Daniel later told a surprised Melanie that he's her father. EJ gave Sami a video of a very-much-alive Sydney, but made her promise not to tell Rafe about the latest random demand for the child. EJ spied on Sami via webcam. Fearing that Sami was having another meltdown, Rafe had everyone gather at the Brady Pub, where EJ later arrived with Sydney in his arms. Just as he wanted, Sami saw EJ as the hero of the hour. Maggie worried that her myasthenia gravis has returned. Arianna didn't believe Brady, who said he cares about Nicole but loves Arianna.

3/8/10-3/12/10: Sami, Rafe, and Will were stunned when EJ brought Sydney home. Rafe was upset to learn Sami knew about the latest ransom note EJ claimed to have received for Sydney's return. Sami and Rafe were not pleased when EJ said that he was spending the night with Sami and Sydney. Rafe got hold of phone numbers to EJ's cell and learned the address of a cottage that fit the kidnapper's (EJ) profile. Rafe entered the cottage just after Anna finished packing her belongings in preparation to leave town. Brady had Chloe go to the prison and tell Nicole that Sydney is safe. After Daniel urged her to get a checkup, Maggie was upset to learn her myasthenia gravis, a neuromuscular disease, has come out of remission. Melanie and Daniel said they'd be there for Maggie. Melanie and Nathan learned Stephanie never gave Nathan the letter Melanie wrote him about her feelings for him. Arianna accepted Brady's proposal.

3/15/10-3/19/10: Carly was on the verge of telling the judge she shot Melanie on purpose when Melanie, at Daniel's urging, arrived and told the judge her shooting was an accident. The judge ruled Carly not guilty of attempted murder. Daniel told Carly he convinced Melanie to tell the truth for her own sake, not for Carly's. Melanie refused to have anything to do with Carly. Hearing that Carly wasn't going to jail, Vivian and Victor plotted to kill her. Anna was gone by the time Rafe got to the cottage where EJ and Anna had Sydney. Realizing that Anna kidnapped Sydney, Nicole summoned her to the prison and demanded that Anna get her friend Gov. Jim Ford to pardon her. Gov. Ford refused when Anna asked him to pardon Nicole. In front of Lexie, Sami, and EJ, Theo blurted out that Sydney had been with EJ all along. Max returned to town for a visit with Caroline. Max warned Philip he'd better not hurt Melanie.

3/22/10-3/26/10: Justin was surprised to see his ex-wife Adrienne, and both realized Hope lied about Justin being in trouble to get him and Adrienne reunited. Adrienne realized that Justin loves Hope, and she tried to get them together because Hope wasn't able to mend her own relationship with Bo. Anna drugged Governor Ford's drink, then blackmailed him with photos of them in a compromising position to get him to pardon Nicole. EJ covered when Rafe said he believed Anna was working with someone (EJ) when she kidnapped Sydney. Nicole went to Santo Domingo after learning Brady was planning to marry Arianna. Nicole's mother, Fay, urged her to forget about Brady. Anna arrived in Santo Domingo, and Rafe realized that Nicole was also there. Vivian decided not to kill Carly, but still plans to destroy her. Melanie decided to put all her focus on Philip after she and Nathan agreed to be friends only.

3/29/10-4/2/10: Nicole was pleased that Brady and Arianna couldn't get married in Santo Domingo because of a hurricane warning. Nicole wants Brady, and is determined to see he doesn't marry Arianna. Nicole, as well as Brady and Arianna, returned to Salem. Arianna told Rafe that Nicole was back in Salem. Sami and Nicole had a run-in that turned into a catfight that was broken up by Rafe who hauled them to the police station. Rafe asked Nicole how she got Anna to persuade the governor to pardon her, but Nicole said that since she's been pardoned no one can touch her. EJ covered his connection to Sydney's kidnapping when quizzed by Nicole. EJ made plans for his cohort Benny to disappear after learning Rafe found Benny's DNA in the cottage where Anna stayed with Sydney. Seeing Sydney with Will, Nicole said a final goodbye to Sydney. Daniel was thrilled when Melanie called him "daddy" for the first time.

4/5/10-4/9/10: Stefano forced Anna to admit that she and EJ kidnapped Sydney. When EJ didn't admit to Sydney's kidnapping, Stefano revealed that Anna told him everything and that he has her confession on tape. EJ toyed with the idea of killing Stefano to keep his Sydney secret, but couldn't do it. Rafe attacked D.A. Woods (Chad's father) after he released Benny (EJ got to Woods) from jail. Abe pulled Rafe away from Woods, who was then hospitalized. Chad's mother, Judge Madeline Peterson-Woods, vowed to see Rafe arrested. Before going to Los Angeles to be a bone marrow donor for his sister, Kimberly (she has leukemia), Bo arranged for Carly to move in with Daniel and Chloe to protect her from Vivian. Vivian's ears perked up when she heard Chloe say she hates Carly. Chloe was upset to see a "family" moment between Daniel, Carly, and Melanie. Nicole is still trying to take Brady away from Arianna.

4/12/10-4/16/10: Arianna told Brady she wants to prove her confidence in their love and that's why she postponed their marriage. Arianna later told Nicole she and Brady plan to live happily ever after. Arianna delivered a loan check Brady wrote for Nicole, and Brady later told Nicole to take the check and leave town. Nicole accepted Philip's offer of a job as reporter on Titan TV. Arianna was offered a production assistant job, unaware that it means she would be working for Nicole. Stefano and EJ called a truce after EJ convinced Sami to let Johnny and Sydney spend the night with Stefano. Brady warned Sami that getting closer to EJ is a mistake. Rafe checked into Justin's mugging, which took place outside the Cheatin' Heart bar. Adrienne decided to sell the Cheatin' Heart. Arianna urged Rafe to keep checking into Sydney's kidnapping as she thinks it will reunite him and Sami. Stefano was interested to learn Madeline is in town.

4/19/10-4/23/10: Carly, who found a doctor who could possibly help Daniel with his eyesight, was there for Daniel whose surgery was successful. Learning from Victor that Chloe doesn't know Daniel had surgery, Vivian paid a male nurse to let Chloe think that Daniel and Carly went to a motel and were having an affair. Chloe later realized that Daniel hadn't been unfaithful to her, but still doesn't know about his surgery. Arianna and Nicole argued after learning they're working together at Titan TV. Arianna refused when Brady offered to find her another job. Right after Justin's mugging, Lexie found an unconscious Abe, who was mugged on the pier. Hope was assigned to investigate the mugging cases. Hope, who acted strange after taking a pill and going to bed, sneaked out of the house and joined a poker game. Hope has a secret agenda. Philip realized it was a goodbye kiss he saw between Melanie and Nathan.

4/26/10-4/30/10: Hope, who has been acting strange due to medication she's taking, ordered Dr. Baker, whom she met at a poker game, to kill EJ, but he ran off when EJ saw him. Hope later attacked EJ, who was knocked unconscious, then she and Baker split the money she took from EJ. Baker took EJ's bank card and withdrew money from his account. Hope took EJ's wallet as a souvenir. Sami found EJ unconscious on the pier, and he was taken to the hospital. When EJ woke up, he had no memory of what happened, and didn't remember Hope was his attacker. Hope, who has no memory that she's the Salem Mugger, thinks Nicole is the prime suspect. Sami told EJ she'd move in with him. Rafe got a lead on Anna. Madeline (Chad's mother) has information about Stefano and Kate that she's holding over their heads.

5/3/10-5/7/10: In South America, Calliope Jones Bradford, who is working for Rafe and wearing a wire, got Anna to reveal the details of Sydney's kidnapping, but a nervous Calliope didn't get the identity of Anna's accomplice (EJ). Anna was suspicious when Calliope returned (Rafe sent her back) and asked more questions about the kidnapping. Madeline, who covered with Will, blasted Kate for letting Will get hold of a photo of Kate and Madeline from a time they had been friends. An ailing Maggie collapsed in Victor's arms. After Hope and Baker mugged Brady, she marked Brady with an Irish female empowerment symbol. The next day, the "good" Hope asked Brady if he was attacked by a woman after Roman showed her the symbol. Determined not to lose Nathan, Stephanie schemed to get pregnant. Philip feels guilty about having slept with Chloe.

5/10/10-5/14/10: Working undercover at the poker game, Nicole saw Brady's money clip and forced the guy who had stolen it back into the game. Nicole was stunned when the "guy" turned out to be Baker. Nicole threatened to turn Baker in to the police for the muggings, but seeing Brady and Arianna kiss, Nicole told Baker that she would keep mum if Arianna is his next victim. Learning Arianna has no alibi for the time of Brady's mugging, Nicole ordered Baker to frame Arianna for the mugging. Vivian is angry that Victor has taken Maggie under his wing since learning she has myasthenia gravis. Anna agreed to reveal her accomplice in Sydney's kidnapping until she realized Calliope was wearing a wire. Rafe demanded that Anna give him the name of her accomplice (EJ). Vivian thinks Chloe will bring down Carly for her. It was revealed that both Kate and Madeline had been call girls.

5/17/10-5/21/10: Nicole gives Baker strands of Arianna's hair and a flashlight with her finger prints on it and ordered him to use the items to frame Arianna as the Salem Mugger. The sleeping pills Hope is taking cause her to be violent and then have no memory of what she has done. Hope objected to Baker framing Arianna, but he planted the hair and flashlight on Roman, who was Hope's next mugging victim. The next day with Hope in her normal "daytime mode," she arrested Arianna for the muggings. Hope's ultimate plan is to get revenge against Bo by making him one of her mugging victims. Bo returned from his trip to Los Angeles and learned of Roman's mugging. In South America, Rafe was close to getting Anna to tell him who (EJ) was behind Sydney's kidnapping, when Anna choked and collapsed. Rafe later learned Anna had been poisoned. After hearing from his henchman, Stefano told EJ that Anna was "taken care of."

5/24/10-5/28/10: Nicole's plot to frame Arianna as the Salem Mugger worked, and Arianna is in jail. Nicole told Baker to stop the muggings, but he's not sure he can control Hope. Brady was upset to learn Arianna had a juvenile record as a gang member. EJ told Arianna he'd be her lawyer. Ciara told Bo that Hope has a treasure box. To prove she didn't have a treasure box, Hope took Bo to her bedroom where they found a box under her bed, which Bo started to open. After learning from Melanie that Chloe slept with Daniel while married to Lucas, Carly demanded Chloe tell Daniel about her affair (with Philip). Anna was sedated before she could tell Rafe that EJ was behind Sydney's kidnapping. After his arrest, Rafe was shocked to see his cellmate was Shane Donovan, who said he was jailed after an ISA mission went wrong. Rafe and Shane plan to escape. Vivian tricked Victor into marrying her.

5/31/10-6/4/10: Bo and Hope found nothing in the box under Hope's bed because Ciara stole the wallets the belonged to Hope's mugging victims. Ciara came close to showing Carly the wallets. Realizing Ciara has the wallets from her victims, Hope stole them back with Baker's help. Ciara later found her treasures missing, then saw Hope and Baker hugging. After taking a sleeping pill, the evil Hope meet with Baker and blasted him for setting Arianna up as the Salem Mugger. Baker was stunned when Hope revealed Bo was going to be her next victim, but said she wasn't going to mug him - she had other plans for him. When Carly warned Chloe again to tell Daniel about Chloe's affair with Philip, Chloe told Vivian she wanted to accept her offer to take Carly down. EJ got Nicole to admit Arianna was with her at the time of Justin's mugging. Vivian fumed that Victor spent their wedding night consoling an ailing Maggie.

6/7/10-6/11/10: Chloe had second thoughts after Vivian's thug arranged an elevator "accident" at the hospital as part of the plan to kill Carly. Chloe fell into the elevator which crashed, after shoving Carly out of the way. Chloe survived surgery. Chloe covered when Daniel entered her room just as Philip said Carly knows Chloe had an affair with someone. Daniel told Chloe he wants to marry her right away. Philip admitted to Maggie he slept with Chloe. Julie, Maggie, Hope, Nathan, Melanie, Jennifer, and Marie all spent time with Alice, who is dying. Rafe and Shane staged an effort to escape prison but get caught in order to get the layout of the prison so they can escape for real. EJ is convinced Nicole is behind Arianna being charged as the Salem Mugger, and promised to see Nicole is sent back to prison. Hope told Jennifer she asked Bo for a divorce but, looking at the papers, hadn't realized he's going through with it.
 
6/14/10-6/18/10: In the South American prison, Rafe killed a man (Stefano's thug) pretending to be a guard, who had attacked him. As a team, Rafe and Shane escaped from the prison. As Rafe arrived at the hospital to rescue Anna, she was accosted by a mystery person when she attempted to leave her room. Sami went to see Alice after EJ revealed that Alice is dying. Jennifer and Nathan stayed with Alice, and later Bill and Laura arrived to see Alice. Bo and Carly shared their memories of Alice. Will and Sami ran into Doug and Julie when they went to see Alice. Melissa and Kayla also shared memories of Alice. Impersonating Madeline, Kate stole the contents of Madeline's safe deposit box. Madeline realized that Kate and Stefano have the contents of the deposit box. Daniel asked for a reason when Chloe first wanted to postpone their marriage and then wanted to get married right away. Caroline blasted Victor for marrying Vivian.

6/21/10-6/25/10: Kayla, Kimberly, Lucas, Allie, Hope, Bo, Jennifer, Doug, and Julie and the rest of Alice's family and friends grieved after Maggie told them Alice had died. At the graveside service, Julie read a speech Alice had written years ago. Kate and Stefano watched a video found in the things Kate stole from Madeline's safe deposit box, which showed Madeline having sex (to help Stefano) with congressman Andrew, Stefano and Kate entering the room, and then Kate hitting the congressman on the head, killing him. Stefano later told Kate and Madeline they should forget about the past. Kate was stunned by the content of a letter she found in Madeline's things. Just as Daniel and Chloe were about to get married, Carly announced Chloe is pregnant. Chloe insisted she wasn't pregnant, but the sonogram Daniel ordered showed she is (the baby could be Daniel's or Philip's). Sami was stunned to see Rafe.

6/28/10-7/2/10: Shane talked about getting back together with Kimberly and their children, but she was upset after learning that he is still working for the ISA. Kimberly was pleased when Shane said the ISA accepted his resignation. Kate told Madeline that, for now, she wouldn't tell Stefano anything about Madeline's secret (Madeline doesn't know Kate read the letter form the safe deposit box). Chad was upset to learn from a letter that Mia had left town. Madeline kept mum that she was the reason Mia split town so fast. Rafe kissed Sami (EJ saw them), but told her it was a goodbye kiss. Rafe is upset that EJ is defending Arianna on charges she is the Salem Mugger. Philip explained to Melanie why he had given up a son years ago. Carly decided Chloe has to be the one to tell Daniel of her affair with Philip.

7/5/10-7/9/10: Carly told Chloe she would keep the secret of Chloe and Philip's affair, but only if a paternity test shows Daniel is the baby's father. Melanie blabbed to Philip that Daniel and Chloe are having a baby, and a stunned Philip realized he could be the baby's father. Will overheard Madeline and Kate talking about the fact Madeline used to be a call girl. Kate told Madeline she can't promise to keep her secret if Stefano gets suspicious. While Will and Chad argued over Gabi, Will told Chad his mother was a hooker. Chad vowed to find out for himself after Will said he heard Madeline admit she was a call girl. EJ got Arianna out on bail and told Nicole he has proof she framed Arianna as the Salem Mugger. While searching for EJ's proof, Nicole secretly taped EJ admitting to Stefano he hired Anna to kidnap Sydney. After taking a sleeping pill, Hope gave Dr. Baker a list of things she needs in order to "take care of" Bo.

7/12/10-7/16/10: Nicole showed EJ her tape of his confession that he was behind Sydney's kidnapping and he destroyed it, but she assured him she had more copies. After Sami refused to listen to anything Nicole had to say about EJ, Nicole told EJ she would keep quiet about Sydney's kidnapping, but it was going to cost him. Abe got sleeping pills from the same doctor who supplied Hope, and learned they have side effects for women. Hope used the sleeping pills when she was upset about seeing Bo and Carly kissing. Bo, Adrienne, Justin, and Carly noticed Hope's strange behavior, like when she was being nice to Carly. Hope met with Dr. Baker and told him she plans to kill Bo. Kate warned Madeline that Chad was asking questions about Madeline's past. Chad pressured Madeline until she admitted she had worked as a hooker because she needed the money. When Chad ran off, Madeline slipped and fell down a flight of stairs.

7/19/10-7/23/10: Chad blamed himself after Madeline died from her fall, but Lexie told him Madeline had a brain aneurysm that would have eventually killed her regardless. Kate urged Chad to talk with his father, District Attorney Woods, but Chad said Woods was never really a father. Kate knows (from the letter she read) that Woods isn't really Chad's father. At Bo's home, Hope lied about coming to get something for Ciara, then secretly drugged Bo's coffee. After Bo passed out, Hope doused him with gasoline, lit a match, and was about to set the house on fire when Daniel arrived. Hope escaped unseen. Roman arrived on an anonymous tip, and he and Daniel got Bo to the hospital. Hope realized Dr. Baker had tipped off Roman. Hope was about to kill Bo when he opened his eyes. Daniel saved Bo's life. Bo tried to tell Carly about Hope. Father Matt urged Chloe to tell Daniel that Philip could be the father of her baby.

7/26/10-7/30/10: When Justin told Hope about Bo's "accident," she rushed to the hospital and vowed to find out who tried to kill Bo. Carly hypnotized Bo, but he didn't remember who had attacked him. At the police station, Bo learned from Theo that Ciara's "treasure" is a collection of wallets Ciara later admitted she took from Hope. A stunned Bo realized Hope could be the Salem Mugger and he has to confront her about it. Dr. Baker decided to leave town. Kate realized she has the only copy of Chad's real birth certificate, and looking at it she thought about Lucas. When Chad asked Kate about Madeline's past, she advised him to remember the mother that he loved. EJ paid Nicole blackmail money to keep mum abut Sydney, but told Stefano he plans to make sure Sami never finds out he had kidnapped Sydney. Rafe tried to decode Nicole's diary, which contains details of EJ's dastardly deed.

8/2/10-8/6/10: A stunned Bo stopped Hope, who pulled a knife on him and tried to stab him. Bo realized Hope's action was due to the side effects from the sleeping pills she's been taking. Hope fell asleep, and when she awoke, Bo showed her the videotaped confession she made of the muggings and her attempt to kill him. Hope insisted Bo take her to the police station, where she confessed and Bo was forced to arrest her. Bo and Hope realized Dr. Baker was her accomplice. From an address in Nicole's diary, Rafe found her mother, Fay Walker, who told him Nicole sent her an envelope, but Rafe realized Fay had destroyed the contents. Because of all of her lies, Brady told Nicole he's done with her. Sami turned down EJ's marriage proposal. Carly took Chloe to St. Mary's Hospital to have a paternity test to see if Daniel or Philip is the father of her baby. Chloe covered when she unexpectedly ran into Daniel at St. Mary's.

8/9/10-8/13/10: Rafe got the CD Fay gave him (it belonged to Nicole) back from the FBI lab and heard EJ on the CD talking about how he thinks Rafe is involved in Sydney’s kidnapping but needs more proof before he can accuse EJ. Bo vowed to stand by Hope because both he and Carly blame themselves for her mental breakdown. Roman told Sami that Dr. Baker is in jail. Justin, Brady and Abe forgave Hope for mugging them while under the influence of the drugs in the sleeping pills. Arianna (unaware it was Nicole) accused Hope of framing her for the muggings and wants her to rot in jail. Stefano walked out of the room when Chad tried to question him about his mother’s (Madeline) past. Stefano told Will that Madeline had betrayed him and he doesn’t think Chad can be trusted either, so he nixed giving Chad a job at DiMera Enterprises. Rafe learned that Sami plans to marry EJ. Stephanie found out that Philip could be the father of Chloe's baby.

8/16/10-8/20/10: Thinking about Chad, who has been rejected by his (supposed) father, D.A. Woods, Kate looked at Chad's birth certificate and remembered Madeline telling her Stefano is Chad's father. Failing to talk Hope out of confessing she's the Salem Mugger, Bo, along with Abe and Justin, testified for Hope, but Arianna spoke against her. The judge gave Hope a reduced sentence at a prison close to Salem where she will get treatment and can have visitors. Hope and Bo said goodbye before she was taken to prison. Rafe comforted Nicole and when she fell asleep he took her CD in which EJ admitted to having Sydney kidnapped. As Rafe listened to the tape, Sami and EJ prepared to say their "I do's." When Daniel threw Chloe a surprise birthday party, she had Carly go to St. Mary's Hospital to get the results of Chloe's paternity test. Breaking into the hospital computer, Stephanie got the paternity test results.

8/23/10-8/27/10: As Sami and EJ were about to say their "I do's," Rafe interrupted the ceremony and played the CD of EJ's confession of being behind Sydney's kidnapping. EJ tried to defend himself, but Sami said he would never see his children again and walked out on him. Rafe gave Roman the CD. Roman warned Rafe that EJ is going to put up a fight. Rafe arranged for an FBI agent to keep tabs on Nicole, who fears EJ will kill her for giving Rafe the confession CD. At St. Mary's Hospital, Stephanie learned Daniel is not the father of Chloe's baby, then she and Ian, who agreed to change the paternity test results, realized someone else already did. At Chloe's birthday party, she and Daniel announced they're expecting while Stephanie kept mum to Nathan that the test results had been changed. Dr. Baker pled guilty at his trial and blamed Bo for Hope becoming the Salem Mugger. Vivian's plotting Maggie's death.

8/30/10-9/3/10: Daniel promised Nicole he wouldn't let EJ go through with his threat to kill her. EJ told Nicole she would pay for turning him in to Rafe for Sydney's kidnapping. Arianna comforted EJ, who later considered shooting himself. Sami and Rafe reunited and made love. Sami snapped when Kate told her EJ talked about kidnapping his children and leaving town. In the night, Sami left a sleeping Rafe and went to confront EJ. Seeing EJ's gun, Sami picked it up and shot him in the head, then returned home without Rafe ever knowing she was gone. Stefano and Kate found EJ, who was hospitalized. Daniel and Carly operated on EJ. Stephanie is trying to find out who switched the paternity test results on Chloe's baby. Vivian plotted to entomb Maggie, even writing letters for Maggie's friends explaining her absence.

9/6/10-9/10/10: Sami kept mum but was nervous when Bo told her and Rafe that EJ had been shot but was alive. At the hospital, Stefano accused Sami of shooting EJ and was angry to learn Sami is already engaged to Rafe. Since EJ had long ago put Sami in charge of his medical decisions if he were incapacitated. Sami asked Daniel how to tell when to pull the plug on EJ. Stefano realized the gun used to shoot EJ was the one kept in their home, and then learned the gun is missing. Learning of EJ's shooting, Will tried to get Sami to admit she was the shooter. Sitting by EJ's bedside, Sami panicked when EJ, who had been unconscious, opened his eyes. Stephanie got Ian to help her prove Chloe changed the paternity test results on her unborn baby after they proved Philip couldn't have done it. Gus tried to dissuade Vivian from going through with her plans to abduct Maggie and then hold her captive in a sarcophagus.

9/13/10-9/17/10: Brady planned a memorial service for his mother, Isabella, and was stunned to see her sarcophagus was empty. Brady fumed when he learned Vivian had taken Isabella's remains from the sarcophagus (she planned to use it to bury Maggie alive) and buried them in a pet cemetery. Brady forced Vivian into the sarcophagus, and then sent Victor an e-mail to make it look like Vivian left town. At the prison, Hope was beaten up by her cellmate, Tina, who realized Hope is a cop. Hope told Warden Jane Smith not to tell Bo about the incident. Will promised to protect Sami after she admitted to shooting EJ. Rafe warned Sami to consider what could happen just before she made the decision to pull the plug on EJ's life support after his condition deteriorated and his heart monitor went off. Stefano had a chance to say good-bye to EJ. Stephanie and Ian learned Chloe was not the person who changed the DNA results on her unborn baby.

9/20/10-9/24/10: Everyone was shocked when EJ began breathing on his own after Sami had his life-support system turned off. Lexie heard EJ say Sami's name but told Abe that she wasn't going to tell Stefano for fear he would go after Sami. Will told Sami that EJ said her name. Via DNA tests, Stefano learned that Will never touched the drawer where the gun used to shoot EJ had been kept. Kate (who told Sami that EJ was going to take the kids and leave town) worried when Stefano wondered why Sami might have shot EJ, EJ asked Arianna where Sami was. Worried about Stephanie's weird behavior, Adrienne had Kayla return to Salem and she realized that something is wrong with Stephanie. Kayla was shocked to overhear Stephanie and Ian talking about the possible switch in the DNA results on Chloe's baby. Via audio and video in the sarcophagus, Brady taunted Vivian.

9/27/10-10/1/10: Nicole was puzzled to see Brady at the pet cemetery. Brady talked to the caretaker to arrange a transfer in order to get his mother out of the pet cemetery, where Vivian buried her. At the cemetery where Brady is holding Vivian prisoner in the sarcophagus, Nicole heard Brady yelling and assumed he was talking to his deceased mother. Brady left, and Nicole found the headset he used to talk to Vivian, heard Vivian's voice, and realized she is in the sarcophagus. Vivian mistakenly thought Nicole would tell the police what Brady did to her. Thinking EJ has no memory of being shot, Sami was forced to pretend she and EJ are married. EJ told Stefano he had been drunk and was thinking about suicide, and then shot himself. Stefano told EJ he thinks Sami or Will shot him. Kayla told Stephanie the test showing Daniel isn't the father of Chloe's baby could be the result of a simple technical error.

10/4/10-10/8/10: Bo pulled some strings and got Hope a job in the prison infirmary. Hope met her supervisor, Lee, a trustee, and a prisoner, April. Jane warned Lee to keep close tabs on Hope. Justin told Bo that Hope signed their divorce papers. Kayla told Bo she thought he was wrong to choose to be with Carly instead of Hope. Kate decided not to tell Stefano that Chad is his son after realizing Chad could never replace EJ. Rafe is determined to protect Will, whom he believes shot EJ. EJ told Stefano he'd find out who shot him, and he intends to use Arianna to help him prove it was either Sami or Will. Sami threw Arianna out after hearing her ask Will about his alibi for EJ's shooting. Vivian failed to get Gus to release her from the sarcophagus. Brady and Nicole knew each other in the Biblical sense. Melanie forced Chloe to admit she cheated on Daniel, but Chloe didn't say it was with Philip.

10/11/10-10/15/10: Sami told EJ that they aren't married, and Roman told him that he will face new charges in Sydney's kidnapping. After Rafe announced his resignation from the FBI, Sami admitted she is the one who shot EJ. Unfortunately for Sami, Arianna overheard her confession. EJ was being discharged from the hospital when he received a court order to keep away from his children. When EJ had a dizzy spell, Arianna, worried about his health, kept mum about the true identity of his shooter. Gus decided to get Vivian out of the sarcophagus after she told him what had happened to her, but someone knocked him out cold before he could free her. Before Chloe and Daniel's wedding, Melanie and Chloe argued, but Melanie decided not to tell Daniel about Chloe's affair. Daniel and Chloe said their "I do's" and left on their honeymoon. Stephanie kept mum about the suspected switch of the paternity test results on Chloe's baby.

10/18/10-10/22/10: Victor found Vivian in the sarcophagus and went for help. Victor confronted Brady, who admitted putting Vivian in the sarcophagus because she put his mother's remains in the pet cemetery. The spirit of Brady's deceased mother Isabella urged him to let Vivian out of the morbid body box. Victor had a chat with Vivian and then nixed a rescue after forcing her to admit she planned to entomb Maggie in the grisly chamber. Arianna let EJ know that she knows something about his shooting and arranged to meet him. After Will begged Arianna to keep mum about Sami shooting EJ, she dashed into the street and was run down by a hit-and-run driver. Arianna survived surgery and was on the verge of telling EJ who shot him. After the vehicular incident, Sami searched an alley for Arianna's belongings, looking for the recording of Sami admitting she shot EJ. Jane and Lee kept tabs on Hope who asked questions about April's death.

10/25/10-10/29/10: Rafe interrupted before Arianna could tell EJ that Sami's the one who shot him. Arianna coded, and then regained consciousness. Arianna coded a second time when alone with Sami and told Sami she still has the video proof Sami shot EJ. Arianna coded again and died. As Will was telling Sami that Arianna's camera may never be found, a mystery person held the camera. Via the video and audio equipment in the sarcophagus, Vivian fumed as Victor told Maggie he loves her. In Vivian's room at the mansion, Kate found the monitor Brady uses to keep tabs on Vivian. At the mausoleum, Vivian tried to get Kate to rescue her, but when Victor arrived, Kate agreed to help keep Vivian locked up. After Stefano said he's impressed with Chad, Kate anonymously sent Chad his birth certificate, which shows Stefano is his father. Bo warned Hope to be careful when she said there could be a cover up in April's death.

11/1/10-11/5/10: Going through the prison infirmary files, Hope learned that another inmate previous to April had also mysteriously died. Bo told Hope he would look into the deaths. Warden Jane failed in an attempt to get Hope transferred out of the infirmary. Kayla told Stephanie that Caroline had confessed to changing the results of Chloe's paternity test (which proved that Philip is the father). Before returning to Africa, Kayla made Caroline promise to tell the truth about the paternity test results, but Caroline doesn't plan to do so. Everyone was stunned when Justin showed up for Arianna's funeral and said she had directed him to draw up her will. EJ warned Rafe he wouldn't stop until he finds proof Sami shot him. Philip told Victor he knows Vivian is in the sarcophagus, and then Philip, Victor, Kate, and Nicole toasted Brady for putting her in the grim corpse container. Meanwhile, Gus, who escaped from Victor, was letting Vivian out of the macabre body box.

11/8/10-11/12/10: Gus escaped from Victor's men and let Vivian out of the sarcophagus. Vivian lured Maggie to the mausoleum and put her into the grisly corpse container. Victor and Philip went to the mausoleum and saw the video feed stop (Vivian disconnected it) but think Vivian is still inside. Vivian tampered with the audio feed to the body box, so that she now receives it. Victor and Brady learned that Gus escaped but think he left town. Kate covered when Chad confronted her about receiving his birth certificate. Kate warned Chad that Stefano has a dark side, advising him not to tell Stefano that they may be father and son. Justin played Arianna's video will, in which she left the bulk of her estate to Brady. Nicole found Arianna's missing camera and learned that Sami shot EJ. Nicole will keep mum about all this in exchange for spending time with Sydney. Melanie had to help Chloe deliver her baby. Jennifer returned to town. Hope learned that Lee used to be a doctor.

11/15/10-11/19/10: After working together on a patient who died from a mysterious illness, Melanie and Nathan decided they can't work together anymore. When Melanie and Nathan became very ill, Ben realized they may have the Lorna Virus and it could kill them. Victor received an email (Vivian sent it) from Maggie stating she was going out of town. Vivian tortured Maggie, who is losing it mentally, about being locked in the sarcophagus with no food or water. Maggie lost consciousness. Victor later realized Vivian put Maggie in the sarcophagus. Feeling guilty about leaving Vivian in the sarcophagus, Brady had a dream in which his mother, Isabella, urged him to free her. Nicole gave EJ the video of Sami's confession that she shot him. Sami was forced to agree with EJ's demand she give him custody of Johnny and Sydney. Jennifer admitted to Bo that Jack abandoned her. Chad, who has a knife, went to see Stefano.

11/22/10-11/26/10: Realizing Maggie is in the sarcophagus, Victor went to rescue her, but Gus knocked him out. Maggie watched on the monitor as Vivian taunted Victor. Vivian attempted to kill Victor, but Brady arrived in time to save him. Victor took an unconscious Maggie out of the grisly corpse cage and revive her, telling her that he loves her. Maggie survived, and at the hospital she threw Victor out of her room when she realized that, knowing Vivian was in the body box, Victor did nothing about it. When Brady was about to spill to the coppers that Vivian tried to kill Victor, she reminded Brady he had locked her in the sarcophagus and warned him if she goes down, she's taking him and Victor with her. Rafe and Sami were married but had no time to celebrate, as EJ arrived and took Johnny and Sydney away right after the ceremony. Daniel may have found an antidote for Melanie and Nathan's mystery illness.

11/29/10-12/3/10: The paternity test proved that Stefano is Chad's father, but Chad said he wants nothing to do with Stefano or any DiMera, and then walked out on him. When Daniel found a potential antidote for the virus that's killing Melanie and Nathan, Carly injected herself with the virus and then with the antidote to see whether it would work. A recovered Melanie later reunited with Philip. A recovered Nathan was about to tell Stephanie he loves Melanie, but ended up deciding to commit to Stephanie. Sami was devastated when EJ refused to let her spend any time with Johnny and Sydney, then was furious when she saw Nicole holding Sydney. EJ told Sami to back off, threatening to reveal she's the one who shot him. Warden Smith made plans to "dispose" of Hope after she expressed her concerns about Lee, and then realized another woman may end up dying. Vivian plotted revenge against Brady, Nicole, Philip, and Kate.

12/6/10-12/10/10: It was revealed that Warden Jane Smith and a prisoner, Lee, are selling Ben organs from the women convicts who die. The governor, who agreed to help Bo protect Hope in the prison, called Jane and canceled the transfer of Hope and another prisoner, Charlene, to another prison. Jane told Ben she's having problems getting the organs he wanted for transplants. Lee threatened Hope. Jane forced Hope to write Bo a letter confessing all of her crimes. Hope prayed Bo would realize that her letter contains a secret message for him. Brady refused to let Nicole go when she said she was breaking up with him after EJ said she could spend time with Sydney if she dumps Brady. Rafe is trying to get some dirt on EJ that would force him to let Sami regain custody of Sydney and Johnny. Stefano came close to telling EJ that Chad is his brother. Stefano didn't argue when Kate moved into the DiMera mansion.

12/13/10-12/17/10: Daniel heard Stephanie and Caroline talking about Philip having cheated on Melanie. Confronting Philip, Daniel realized the truth, and then told Chloe that Philip had cheated on Melanie, relieving Chloe's fear that Daniel had learned she cheated on him with Philip. Philip lied to Daniel that he had a one-night stand with a secretary, Sabrina. Stephanie told Caroline that she won't reveal Philip (not Daniel) is Parker's father. From a photo, Rafe saw that Johnny has an eye problem. At Rafe's insistence, EJ let Lexie examine Johnny, and she said that Johnny should see a specialist. Wrongly accusing Sami of causing Johnny's eye problem, EJ said that he wants her out of Johnny's life. Seeing Ciara's name misspelled in Hope's (forced) letter to him, Bo realized she was in big trouble. Bo left Ciara with Doug and Julie as he prepared to rescue Hope. Abe is upset that Bo never arrested Sami for shooting EJ.

12/20/10-12/24/10: Disguised as a guard, Bo went to the prison and was stunned to see Hope, who had been badly beaten up by Lee. After telling Bo that Warden Jane wants her dead, Hope knocked Lee out, then she and Bo escaped from the prison and found refuse in a remote cabin. Warden Jane and Lee realized Bo helped Hope escape from prison and told Roman the state police are looking for Bo and Hope. To avoid any bias, Roman promoted Rafe to temporary police commander so Rafe could search for Bo and Hope. Roman is rightly suspicious of the state police, as Jane's "friends on the force" plan to kill Bo and Hope when they find them. After tests showed Johnny has retinoblastoma, a form of eye cancer, Daniel operated and removed Johnny's left eye. Vivian told Brady, Nicole, Kate, and Philip she plans to bring down every one of them. Philip told Chloe that Stephanie and Nathan and planning to move to Baltimore.

12/27/10-12/31/10: The Horton Clan celebrated their first Christmas without Alice and Mickey, but in the family tradition hung their name ornaments on the Christmas tree. As Parker's christening took place, Kayla returned to town and learned the fact that Philip is Parker's father wasn't revealed. Stephanie felt she did the right thing keeping Parker's paternity a secret. Unaware Parker's baptism had just taken place, Kayla insisted to Caroline the fact Daniel is not Parker's father must be revealed. Everyone at the christening heard the argument. After the reveal, Caroline was hospitalized with a stroke. Philip and Chloe tried to explain their affair, but Daniel walked out on Chloe. Melanie told Daniel that since he is legally Parker's father, they should take the boy away from Chloe and Philip. EJ took Johnny home from the hospital. Nicole told Brady she's marrying EJ. Kate and Brady plotted against Vivian. Bo and Hope are on the run.

1/3/11-1/7/11: Bo phoned Carly at the hospital and then realized the line had been tapped. Bo's merchant marine pal, Leo, let him and Hope use his boat to escape from Jane and the authorities. Bo and Hope got a phone number that Jane had been calling, but didn't learn who she was trying to reach. Lee convinced Jane to start selling organs to Ben again, to get the money they will need to skip town if their scheme is discovered. Jane was upset to learn that the state investigator working with her didn't capture Bo and Hope. Jennifer is trying to find out what Lee and Jane are up to; she also spent time with Ben. Chloe was shocked when Daniel said that she and Parker have to move out. Stephanie told Nathan that Philip cheated on Melanie and that he's Parker's father. Nathan confronted Stephanie for her part in Parker's paternity fiasco. As part of Brady and Kate's plot, Vivian and Gus were shoved out of a plane. Vivian and Gus landed on an island.
1/10/11-1/14/11: Bo left Hope and went to the prison after learning Jane had a meeting set up with her "boss" in the black-market organ operation. Bo was unaware Stefano is the man behind the black-market organ scam. As Jennifer spent more time with Ben, she realized he is connected to the prison. EJ took Johnny back to Dr. Kim after Nicole noticed something wrong with the boy's good eye. Sami and EJ joined to support Johnny, who had an operation to remove the cancer in his good eye and were thrilled to learn the surgery was a success and he didn't lose the eye. Time will tell whether or not Johnny can see. Nathan walked out on Stephanie after learning of her part in tampering with Parker's paternity test. Melanie urged Daniel to divorce Chloe, who is determined to get him back. Melanie told Nathan to move to Baltimore, but didn't tell him that she's pregnant. Vivian and Gus are still stranded on the deserted island.

1/17/11-1/21/11: Everyone was happy when the doctor said Johnny's eyesight is OK and the cancer was removed from his eye. Sami insisted to Rafe that EJ would keep his word and give her shared custody of Johnny per EJ's pact with God (if Johnny's eyesight was saved). Rafe is rightly suspicious of EJ, who along with Stefano, is plotting to get Rafe out of Sami and the children's lives. Rafe received a notice about the custody papers for Sydney and Johnny. Nicole was surprised when EJ said that he still wants to marry her. Vivian and Gus are making the best of life on the deserted island. Victor admitted Vivian's location to Maggie. When Victor told Brady to bring Vivian back to Salem, Brady realized Victor's purpose is to make himself look good to Maggie. Melanie told Philip that she's pregnant with his baby, but wants nothing to do with him. Nathan, who loves Melanie, learned of her condition.
1/24/11-1/28/11: Hope learned Ben is involved in a black-market organ-donation scheme with Jane and Lee. To help Hope, Jennifer stole Ben's key to the prison infirmary and then stole the records of the deceased prisoners. With Carly's help, Jennifer learned the prisoner's organs were illegally donated. Carly and Jennifer overheard Jane and Lee talking about plans to kill Bo. Lee captured Jennifer. Carly and Hope arrived just as the crooked state investigator was about to shoot Bo. Sami ran off without signing EJ's custody agreement for the children, because of an addendum that would give Nicole rights to the kids if anything happened to EJ. Rafe was critically injured when he crashed his car while chasing after Sami. Ben said Rafe could have brain damage. Maggie was pleased Victor had Brady "rescue" Vivian and Gus. Chloe lost it when Philip said he wanted to change Parker's name. Chloe realized she has lost Daniel.

1/31/11-2/4/11: Lee knocked Jennifer out, put her on an operating table, and removed her heart, which she gave to Ben to use for a transplant. Daniel, who realized Ben is illegally getting organs from the prison for transplants, stopped Ben from using Jennifer's heart. After Melanie told Daniel about Jennifer, Daniel raced to the prison with the heart and put it back into Jennifer, who was then taken to the hospital. Doug, Julie, and Maggie were with Jennifer when she regained consciousness. Jane, Lee, and Ben were arrested. Stefano and EJ took an unconscious Rafe from the hospital, and an impostor took the real Rafe's place. The real Rafe regained consciousness in a cell and realized EJ and Stefano were holding him prisoner. Sami believed the Rafe impostor, who said he had memory loss. Nicole was not happy to see her sister Taylor. Unaware Nicole paid Taylor to leave town, Abe and Lexie let her stay at their house.

2/7/11-2/11/11: Bo talked to the judge at Hope's hearing and the judge later ruled Hope would not be returned to prison. Bo told Hope he loves her and wants them to be together. Carly told Jennifer she and Bo had broken up. Jennifer, who's recovering from heart surgery, thanked Daniel for saving her life. Kate tried to get Melanie to take Parker away from Chloe and raise the baby with Philip. Chloe left Parker alone in the house when she went to get his medicine from the pharmacy. Chloe, who had been using the oven, left it on when she went out, and smoke began to fill the apartment. Brady convinced Taylor to stay in Salem. EJ was very interested when he mete Taylor. After getting down and dirty with the Rafe impostor, Sami noted something wasn't right about him. EJ introduced Rafe to his impostor and showed Rafe a video of Sami and the impostor kissing.

2/14/11-2/18/11: Rafe tried to tip Sami to the fact she's living with the Rafe impersonator by telling the fake Rafe the wrong type of cookie Allie likes. Kayla urged Sami to be patient with Rafe (the fake) during his recovery. Rafe escaped from his cellar prison, and then was stunned to see Sami and Rafe (the fake) on the verge of copulating. Sami was puzzled when her neighbor Gladys said she saw Rafe (the real one) being dragged out of their building. Back in his cell, EJ told Rafe there would be no more escaping. Chloe returned home in time to turn off the oven before Parker was harmed. Philip and Maggie decided they would watch out for Chloe, but are unaware she's coming unglued mentally. Melanie plotted with Kate to take Parker away from Chloe and raise him with Philip. Bo and Hope told their family they are working things out. EJ and Taylor were attracted to each other but were unaware of their mutual connection to Nicole.
2/21/11-2/25/11: Chloe confessed to Philip she had left Parker alone at Maggie's house. Daniel diagnosed Chloe with postpartum depression and gave her medication. After Kate talked Chloe into throwing her medication away, Chloe took Parker and went to the pier and threw herself into the river (she didn't harm Parker). Philip, who had received Chloe's goodbye note, rescued her. Philip confronted Kate after Chloe said she threw away her medication because of something Kate said. Melanie was angry with Philip, who didn't go for her idea of taking Parker away from Chloe. Chloe worried she would lose Parker. Stefano and the Rafe impostor schemed to kidnap Allie to punish the legit Rafe for his escape attempt, but EJ foiled the plan when he arranged for Lucas to request Allie visit him in Hong Kong. EJ and Nicole said their "I do's." EJ and Taylor tried to avoid each other. Bo was reinstated as police commissioner.
2/28/11-3/4/11: Jennifer was surprised to see her daughter Abigail, who returned to Salem. After learning Daniel was the doctor who saved Jennifer's life, Abigail was fine with seeing Jennifer and Daniel hugging. Abigail urged Jennifer to move on with her life, insisting Jack (Abigail's father) didn't deserve her. Nathan and Philip rushed Melanie to the hospital when she started cramping. Melanie later lost her and Philip's baby. Nathan rushed things when he told Melanie he loves her. Chloe was devastated when Social Services took custody of Parker. Daniel was upset his name was removed as Parker's father when Philip's name was put on the new birth certificate. Philip blasted Kate and Melanie for plotting against Chloe. Victor fumed when Philip moved Chloe into the mansion and reunited her with Parker. Sami is suspicious of the fake Rafe. EJ learned Stefano injected the real Rafe with a mind-erasing drug.
3/7/11-3/11/11: Stefano wasn't sure his mind-erasing drug had worked on the real Rafe, who seemed confused when looking at his safehouse key. Stefano's lab techs ran tests to see if the drugs had erased the real Rafe's memory. After Rafe had a seizure but was stabilized, it was decided his memory had in fact been erased. Vivian and Gus are curious about what Stefano is up to regarding Rafe. Melanie told Nathan she needs to get on with her life and can't be with him or Philip. Chloe learned Philip and Melanie's marriage is over. Philip and Chloe decided to get their lives back on track and to take care of Parker. Adrienne accepted Justin's marriage proposal after Hope got them to reconcile. Nicole moved her mother, Fay, who has a heart condition, into the DiMera mansion. EJ and Taylor fought their attraction to each other after Nicole insisted Taylor also move into the mansion. Jennifer attempted to contact Jack.
3/14/11-3/18/11: Will and Gabi learned her stolen earrings had been pawned. Melanie caught the earring thief when he tried to steal her necklace from Carly. Brady arrived as Melanie struggled with the thief, who was arrested. At the station, the fake Rafe didn't recognize the thief, but Gabi called out his name "Dario." The Rafe impostor realized Dario is Gabi and the real Rafe's brother. Melanie was stunned to later see Dario had moved in with (the fake) Rafe. At EJ's insistence, Stefano had his men move the real Rafe from the mansion basement to another location. Abigail hid her upset when Jennifer said she is divorcing Abigail's father Jack. Melanie made it clear to Nathan that they are finished and then he followed up on the job offer from Johns Hopkins. After Taylor moved into the mansion she and EJ came face-to-face and Nicole nearly caught them kissing. At the police station, the fake Rafe looked at his old criminal file.
3/21/11-3/25/11: After hearing Bo and Hope say they broke up because of her, Ciara told Theo, who decided to go with her, that she was going to run away. Dario told Melanie he had been stealing things and pawning them to pay for a private eye he hired to find out who ran over and killed his sister Arianna. Melanie told Dario she and Arianna were friends. Dario learned Melanie will be getting a big settlement when she divorces Philip. EJ fumed when he saw Taylor talking with Brady. Stefano realized EJ is in love with Taylor. The fake Rafe faked a seizure after arguing with Sami and was hospitalized. Sami slipped anti-anxiety meds Carly prescribed into the fake Rafe's drink, unaware he had booze in it. While out of it, the fake Rafe tried to tell Sami he's not really Rafe, but she didn't take him seriously. The real Rafe is now being held prisoner in an asylum. EJ nixed Stefano's plan to speed up the "disappearance" of the fake Rafe.
3/28/11-4/1/11: When Brady told Dario to get out of town, he insisted he was staying in Salem and going to find out who killed Arianna. Dario heard Justin and Philip talking about the millions that Philip gave Melanie in their divorce settlement. After admitting their mutual feelings, EJ suggested he and Taylor have an affair, but she refused. After the fake Rafe got aggressive with Sami, he told Stefano it wouldn't be long before Sami kicked him out. Nicole and Taylor's mother Fay was stunned to overhear EJ praise the fake Rafe for his impersonation of the real Rafe. The fake Rafe grabbed the phone when Fay called Nicole to tell her about the fake Rafe. The fake Rafe pushed Fay down a flight of stairs as Nicole and Taylor entered the mansion. Upset after a young patient died on her operating table, Carly began injecting herself with sedatives. Nicole nixed helping Vivian destroy Kate. Ciara is still determined to run away.
4/4/11-4/8/11: Nicole and Taylor found Fay at the bottom of the stairs (after the fake Rafe shoved her down) and got her to the hospital. Fay, who had been unconscious, woke briefly then had cardiac arrest when she saw the fake Rafe by her bed. The fake Rafe was furious and threatened a stunned Sami's life when she unwittingly interrupted his attempt to kill Fay by injecting an air bubble into her IV. Fay woke up again when Nicole was with her and said "EJ...secret." The fake Rafe got into Fay's room again and prepared to kill her just as she opened her eyes. The real Rafe, who has amnesia (thanks to Stefano) is determined to find out his identity and where he came from. Melanie learned Dario used money Brady gave him to hire a new gumshoe to investigate Arianna's death. Chloe was surprised when Philip said he is trying to help her regain custody of Parker. Justin and Adrienne planned to elope.
4/11/11-4/15/11: Gus told Vivian he learned there had been a prisoner (the real Rafe) in the DiMera mansion basement. The fake Rafe smothered Fay with a pillow then split when her monitor alarm went off. The fake Rafe was glad to learn Fay's death was considered to be from natural causes. The fake Rafe didn't tell EJ and Stefano that he killed Fay. After another argument with the fake Rafe, Sami took the children and left to visit her brother Eric. The fake Rafe was about to skip town when Gabi and Will showed up. Nicole checked into EJ's secret after remembering Fay's words of warning about EJ, and after overhearing EJ tell Stefano he thought Fay had tried to tell Nicole about (the real) Rafe. Chloe went off the deep end after Philip told her Social Services denied letting her have shared custody of Parker. Bo and Hope and Abe and Lexie searched for runaways Ciara and Theo. Daniel and Jennifer fought their attraction to each other.
4/18/11-4/22/11: At Fay's funeral in Chicago, the limo that EJ and Taylor were riding in crashed on the way to the cemetery. EJ and Taylor were trapped in the wreckage so the driver went for help. EJ and Taylor shared a kiss but later at the hospital Taylor told EJ their relationship won't work. The fake Rafe's effort to leave town was interrupted by Gabi and Will, having to resign from the police force, car trouble, and orders from Stefano to kill Troy (the drug dealer). Dario saved Melanie from a masked Troy, who attacked her after admitting he killed Arianna. At the hospital, Brady realized Arianna had once busted Troy for drug dealing. Troy went into a coma. The real Rafe escaped from the asylum and was hopeful the key he has will hold the clue to his identity (he has amnesia). Bo, Hope, and Abe continued searching for Ciara and Theo. Chloe was devastated when Philip took Parker and left town. Carly is still using drugs.
4/25/11-4/29/11: After Jennifer admitted her feelings for Daniel, the pair shared a languorous kiss. Melanie urged Jennifer to accept Daniel's date offer, but Carly, who thought she could have a relationship with Daniel, got upset. Carly later stole more drug samples and then swallowed them. Dario was angry when (the fake) Rafe didn't care the man who killed their sister was arrested and in the hospital in a coma. The real Rafe fell into a ravine trying to escape from guards at the asylum. Stefano learned the real Rafe is (supposedly) dead. Nicole got hold of DNA results Vivian and Gus obtained, then had tests done to see if the genes were (the real) Rafe's to prove her theory he was a prisoner in the basement of the DiMera mansion. Bo and Hope thanked (the fake) Rafe for finding Ciara and Theo (as he was trying to leave town). The fake Rafe wasn't happy Sami returned home. EJ told Taylor he's divorcing Nicole.
 
5/2/11-5/6/11: Sister Rose rescued Rafe, who had passed out, and he was taken to the Convent of the Holy Cross. After recovering, the real Rafe told Sister Rose he doesn't know who he is. The real Rafe learned the key he has is to living quarters (the safe house) near the Convent and then went there. Sami told the fake Rafe she wanted him out of her life after learning he slept with a woman he didn't even know. Sami then went to the safe house to think things through. The fake Rafe followed Sami to the safe house after learning she had his bank card with is new name, Javier, on it. The real Rafe entered the safe house and came face-to-face with Sami. Nicole got DNA proof showing Rafe had been held prisoner in the DiMera basement. When EJ said he wanted a divorce, Nicole refused and revealed she had proof he held Rafe prisoner. Taylor left the mansion after seeing Nicole, EJ, Johnny, and Sydney together as a family.
5/9/11-5/13/11: At the safe house, Sami didn't believe the real Rafe when he said he doesn't remember who he is. When Sami went to leave the safe house, she found herself face-to-face with (the fake) Rafe. The fake Rafe accused the real Rafe of being the fake. Sami was knocked out when the real Rafe launched an attack on the fake Rafe and the fake Rafe's gun went flying. Sami regained consciousness and grabbed the gun while both Rafe's tried to get her to believe their stories. Sami fired the gun, which grazed the fake Rafe, who grabbed the gun but was knocked out by the real Rafe. Sami and the real Rafe kissed and then he collapsed. Later, Rafe said he had regained his memory. Chloe slept with a man (Quinn) she met in a bar who left her cash for her "services." Taylor moved out of the DiMera mansion and agreed to stay with the Carvers. Taylor told EJ they are finished for good. Daniel and Jennifer started dating.
5/16/11-5/20/11: Brady was stunned when Victor said he sold his drug business to EJ and revealed Troy's boss was responsible for Arianna's death. Brady blurted out to Taylor that EJ is the head of the drug operation and stated Troy, who worked for him, killed Arianna, the woman Brady loved. Taylor confronted EJ, who said he was in charge of the drug rung but insisted he had nothing to do with Arianna's demise, and claimed he sold the drug business after Arianna bought the farm. Taylor debated telling the police about EJ, while EJ remembered selling the drug business to Quinn, the mystery man whom Chloe had a one-night-stand with. Quinn apologized to Chloe for thinking she was a prostitute. After a bad run-in with Kate, Chloe turned to Quinn for comfort, but while making love she called him "Daniel." After moving the fake Rafe to a safe location, the real Rafe and Sami went to an inn where they knew each other in a Biblical sense.
5/23/11-5/27/11: Maggie warned Chloe to go slowly when she said there is a new man (Quinn) in her life. Meanwhile, Quinn is secretly continuing to run the drug business he bought from EJ and asked Chloe out on a "proper" date. EJ told Stefano he wants out of the illegal side of the "family" business. Taylor told EJ that Nicole knows they have feelings for each other. Taylor told EJ she won't tell the police about the drug business he had. Vivian is determined to get revenge against Kate. The real Rafe returned to Salem with Sami and the two set out to prove the DiMeras hired the fake Rafe. Stefano warned EJ not to say anything incriminating to the fake Rafe (real Rafe). Abigail learned Carly's real name is Katerina von Leuschner. Carly took a pill overdose, but recovered. When Abigail confronted Carly about the pills, Carly lied they were hers and claimed she's ill. Melanie thanked Brady for paying off Mike, Dario's bookie.
 
5/30/11-6/3/11: Chloe was grateful to Justin and Adrienne, who arranged for her to spend some time with her baby, Parker. Chloe promised the social worker she is making progress in becoming a good mother in hopes of getting Parker back. Unaware that Quinn is the local drug dealer, Chloe accepted his date offer. Chloe came close to catching Quinn watching the video he has of them making love. Rafe got no information on the DiMeras from the fake Rafe, who warned the DiMeras would catch on that the real Rafe is pretending to be the fake Rafe. Sami saw Fay's cameo, which the real Rafe found in the fake Rafe's (the fake Rafe caused Fay's death) duffel bag. Sami went to confront the fake Rafe by herself, and was stunned to see he had escaped. EJ said he wanted to "take care" of the fake Rafe himself, but Stefano wanted to hire someone to do it. Taylor told EJ she only let Nicole think she left town. EJ and Taylor made love.
6/6/11-6/10/11: Vivian was stunned to see her son, Quinn, in Salem. Quinn told Vivian he wasn't in town to get revenge against her for abandoning him when he was a child. Vivian asked Gus to dig up information on what Quinn has been up to. Chloe was in shock after Quinn blackmailed her into working as an escort (he's a pimp) with the video of them having sex. Quinn warned Chloe he would go public with their lusty video if she doesn't do what he wants. Rafe rescued Sami before the fake Rafe could finish his attempt to strangle her. Rafe considered telling Bo about his unsavory doppelganger. When Taylor came to see Sami, she caught sight of her mother's (Fay) cameo and demanded to know why Rafe and Sami have it. EJ told Nicole he spent the night with Taylor. Taylor told Brady she is with EJ and that EJ is going to divorce Nicole. Carly stole more drugs after learning Daniel was going to spend the weekend with Jennifer.

6/13/11-6/17/11: After Taylor asked Rafe and Sami why they had her mother's (Fay) cameo, they realized the fake Rafe must have killed Fay. Bo and Hope discovered the fake Rafe in the warehouse where Sami and the real Rafe were holding him captive. Bo and Hope let the fake Rafe think they believe he's the real Rafe, and Hope stayed with him while Bo quizzed Sami and the real Rafe. Bo returned to the warehouse in time to keep the fake Rafe from killing Hope. After giving the fake Rafe truth serum and re-enacting Fay's death, the fake Rafe admitted killing Fay after he accidentally knocked Sami down a flight of stairs. Taylor was stunned to hear (the fake) Rafe say he killed her mother. Kate is behind Quinn forcing Chloe into prostitution in order to make sure Chloe never sees Parker again. Melanie kept Brady from beating EJ to death (he blames EJ for Arianna's death). Daniel and Carly stabilized EJ who's in a coma.
6/20/11-6/24/11: At the hospital, Carly, Jennifer, and Melanie were relieved when EJ briefly regained consciousness but didn't remember that Brady was the person who nearly beat him to death. Victor knows it was Brady who injured EJ, whose monitors went off when Bo tried to play the fake Rafe's confession about killing Fay and working for the DiMeras. After EJ underwent minor surgery, Stefano vowed to find out who beat him up. Hope learned from Jennifer that Brady beat up EJ, who knew the fake Rafe really did the deed after Taylor said that Rafe killed Fay. An angry Nicole realized that EJ was indirectly responsible for Fay's death after Taylor told Nicole that Rafe killed their mother. Chloe was relieved that Rob, her client whom she drugged, thought they has sex. Quinn refused when Kate wanted him to get her proof that Chloe is a prostitute. Jennifer suspects Carly, who is acting strange, of stealing meds at the hospital.

6/27/11-7/1/11: Bo quizzed Nicole who told him that she has DNA proof that EJ had held (the real) Rafe prisoner in the basement of the DiMera mansion. When her lawyer arrived with the evidence, Nicole and Bo were upset to learn it had been mysteriously destroyed (by Stefano). Rafe agreed to work undercover to nail EJ by letting him think the fake Rafe attacked and nearly killed him (it was Brady). Bo and Hope took money from one of Stefano's thugs and then made it appear as if the fake Rafe did it by sending a threatening note from the fake Rafe (Rafe undercover). Melanie lied to the police that Dario spent the night with her and therefore didn't attack EJ. Bo warned Brady and Victor to keep mum that Brady attacked EJ. EJ told Taylor that Nicole wants a divorce, and then he proposed to Taylor. Jennifer realized Carly has feelings for Daniel, and that Daniel dating Jennifer has caused Carly to use drugs she is stealing from the hospital.

7/4/11-7/8/11: Chloe gave in and had sex with a "client" after learning from Justin that she has to have a steady income and a stable home if she hopes to get custody of Parker. Kate, who is behind Quinn's efforts to turn Chloe into a prostitute in order to keep Chloe away from Parker forever, was pleased to learn of Chloe's initiation. EJ assured Taylor that no plans existed to kill Rafe (the real Rafe undercover) after she overheard Stefano tell EJ that they need to kill the fake Rafe (the real Rafe) because he has gone rogue. Bo released Nicole from custody but warned her not to tell anyone of her suspicion that EJ and Stefano kidnapped and brainwashed Rafe. A drunken Nicole freed the fake Rafe, who went to the DiMera mansion where he, EJ, and Stefano came face to face with the real Rafe. Bo and Hope caught the fake Rafe. Vivian's thug, Phelps, learned Carly is addicted to drugs.
7/11/11-7/15/11: Sonny, who is Adrienne and Justin's son, visited his Uncle Victor and admitted to him that he's gay. Victor accepted Sonny, but worried that his grandnephew could face problems with bigotry and hostility toward gays. EJ lied to Taylor, saying he didn't kidnap Rafe and replace him with the fake Rafe, who killed her mother. Taylor walked out on EJ after calling him a monster for proposing to her after causing her mother's death. Stefano also wrote EJ off, blaming him for the fake Rafe fiasco, and said that Chad is his only son. Hope promised to put the fake Rafe in witness protection if he revealed the DiMeras hired him after kidnapping the real Rafe, but he decided to take his chances in prison. Hope got hold of the fake Rafe's police file. The fake Rafe got a new cellmate after Stefano told EJ the fake Rafe would never rat on them. Quinn learned Carly almost bought drugs. Hope's criminal record was expunged.
7/18/11-7/22/11: The fake Rafe (Arnold) was supposed to be in a cell by himself, but other prisoners were put in with him. One of the prisoners had been arrested by the real Rafe, and, mistaking the fake Rafe for the real Rafe, beat him to death. Sami was stunned when EJ said he was giving her full custody of the kids. Stefano later threatened to have the custody agreement overturned. Nicole later found EJ, who had collapsed after suffering head pain, and took him to the hospital. As Melanie tended to EJ, eh remembered she was there the night he was attacked (by Brady). Nicole warned Brady that EJ is starting to remember his assault. Kate learned that Chloe booked a singing gig to legitimately earn money in order to get Parker back. Kate arranged for one of Chloe's johns to expose her as a prostitute at her singing gig. Carly resisted using pills after seeing Daniel with Jennifer. Daniel told Carly his feelings for her are platonic.
7/25/11-7/29/11: Gabi and Will were surprised to see an Internet photo of their friend T with Sonny, with an attached comment about the two guys being a "couple." Sonny later told T that he didn't hide the fact that he's gay, and he never tried to hit on T. Maggie was pleased with Victor, who defended Sonny. Sonny smoothed things over with Kinsey, who admitted she had a crush on Sonny before learning of his orientation. EJ told Taylor that he remembered Melanie being on the pier the night he was nearly beaten to death. Kate told Nicole that when Stefano finds out who beat up EJ (Brady), that person will end up dead. Melanie was stunned that EJ, who checked himself out of the hospital, said he knows she was on the dock when he was beaten up, and that she's protecting Brady. Jennifer revived Carly, who passed out after taking pills. Vivian emailed photos of a passed-out Carly. Quinn (he doesn't know who she is) rescued a drunken Carly from a would-be rapist.
8/1/11-8/5/11: EJ checked himself out of the hospital and told Nicole that he knows it was Brady who nearly beat him to death. Fearing Brady planned to shoot EJ, Taylor knocked him out, took his gun, and was about to toss it in the river when EJ showed up. EJ told Taylor, who told Brady, that EJ is not out for revenge against Brady. Stefano met with Victor on the pier to get revenge for EJ's beating. Maggie realized what was up, raced to the pier to warn Victor, and was shot by Stefano's thug, who was aiming at Victor. Kate was curious to see Quinn with Vivian. Quinn returned money that Kate had paid Randy to expose Chloe as a hooker to her caseworker. Quinn agreed to let Carly stay in his hotel room. Kinsey saw Chloe take money from a man (a john). Bo, Hope, and Rafe are secretly checking into an attack on a prostitute. Sonny told his parents, Justin and Adrienne, that he is staying in Salem.
8/8/11-8/12/11: Stefano called 911 after Maggie was shot by his henchman Marco, who he sent out of town.  Daniel and Lexie operated on Maggie and eventually got the bullet out of her chest.  Maggie flatlined, but Daniel was able to revive her.  Daniel told Maggie's family and friends that she could be on a ventilator for the rest of her life.  Chad gave Stefano an insulin shot when he had a diabetic attack during an argument with EJ and Chad.  Even though Roman took them off the case, Bo and Hope quizzed Stefano and EJ about Maggie's shooting.  Stefano lied, saying that he only heard the gunshot and a scream.  EJ told Chad to get as far away from Stefano as possible.  Quinn told Carly he replaced the pills she bought from Phelps with placebos.  Carly left Quinn's hotel room, believing Vivian (she doesn't know Vivian is Quinn's mother) tracked her there.  Carly learned that her family knows about her drug problem.  Gabi and Will made love.
8/15/11-8/19/11: Brady ordered Dimitri to protect his family and later, thinking Chad was fighting with Sonny, Dimitri shot at Chad, wounding him in the shoulder.  Taylor was livid when Brady said he thought EJ was Dimitri’s target.  Victor refused when Stefano wanted peace between their families, because Stefano’s henchman shot Maggie.  Taylor said goodbye forever to EJ after he chose to stick with Stefano and the corrupt lifestyle of his family.  Everyone was stunned when Maggie breathed on her own and regained consciousness after being taken off life support as stipulated in her will.  Sami and Rafe were thrilled when her pregnancy test was positive, but Maxine warned Sami there was a problem.  Vivian was furious when Quinn rescued a drugged Carly and anonymously took her to Melanie, Jennifer, and Daniel.  Dario’s friend Mandy, who works for Quinn, was attacked by the prostitute stalker.
 
8/22/11-8/26/11: Sami was devastated to learn that she isn't pregnant and that she needs surgery to remove ovarian cysts that could be cancerous.  Rafe consoled Sami as she got ready for surgery.  Because of Maggie, Victor agreed to Stefano's offer of peace between the DiMera and Kiriakis families.  Sonny and Chad realized that keeping the true is up to them.  At the rehab center, Carly came out of detox and was surprised to see her estranged son, Nicholas.  Dario found Mandy, who had been beaten by the man who is stalking prostitutes.  Bo and Hope looked for Mandy's pimp (Quinn), hoping he would have information about the streetwalker assaults.  The masked mystery attacker watched Bo and Hope, who were on stakeout at the pier.  Nicole learned that Taylor has an arrest record.  Tad vowed revenge on Sonny because he thinks Sonny made everyone believe he is gay.  Sonny told Adrienne and Justin that he is transferring to Salem University.
8/29/11-9/2/11: Sami had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia used during an operation to remove some cysts.  After having tests done twice on the cysts, Lexie told Sami that abnormal cells were in the cysts and an oncologist is doing more tests.  Rafe comforted Sami who jumped to the conclusion she has cancer.  Chloe was on top of the world after Justin let her videoconference with Parker.  Chloe arranged to meet one of her johns on her own after Quinn said he was closing down until the person stalking prostitutes is caught.  After leaving her john, Chloe was attacked and brutally beaten with a nightstick.  After Kinsey called Brady to help look for a missing Chloe, he found her left for dead in an alley.  Taylor, who once worked for Quinn, recalled being arrested for prostitution (she hadn't done anything) in a police raid.  Carly was grateful to Melanie, who convinced Nicholas to forgive Carly for killing his father, Lawrence.
 
9/5/11-9/9/11: Brady rushed an unconscious Chloe to the hospital and didn't tell Roman that she had been working as a prostitute when she was attacked.  Bo and Hope realized the spot where Brady found Chloe was wrong, and Hope found a blood trail leading to the pier.  Brady called the nurse when Chloe squeezed his hand, but she said there was no change in Chloe, who languishes in a coma.  Gus is angry that Vivian has ignored him ever since Quinn came back into her life.  While alone, Chloe whispered Gus' name.  Gus took hairs from Quinn's jacket and planted them at the site of Chloe's attack.  Quinn grabbed Taylor and kissed her when she said that she's still attracted to him.  Sami and Rafe celebrated after Lexie told them that Sami doesn't have cancer.  Gabi worried that Will isn't interested in her sexually.  EJ told Stefano that he bought the Countess Wilhelmina cosmetics line to give some legitimacy to the DiMera name.
9/12/11-9/16/11: Victor failed to convince Maggie to continue living at his home after her recovery from the gunshot wound.  Maggie said she is old-fashioned and wouldn't live with a man unless they were married.  Chloe, who is still in a coma, dreamed about being attacked and seeing Gus' face.  Gus stole Quinn's hotel key card and then planted the bloody nightstick he attacked Chloe with in Quinn's closet.  Bo, Hope, and Rafe got genetic proof that the hairs found at the scene of Chloe's attack belonged to Quinn (planted there by Gus).  Armed with a warrant, Bo, Hope, and Rafe took Quinn into custody after finding the nightstick (with Gus' subtle prodding) in Quinn's closet.  Melanie urged Dario to accept the promotion he was offered at Titan if it's what he wants, even though it would mean he would have to move to Argentina.  EJ reminded Nicole that they are still married.  Carly is making progress in her effort to kick her drug habit.
9/19/11-9/23/11: Quinn insisted he was innocent when Bo and Hope arrested him for the attacks on the prostitutes.  Taylor was assumed to be Quinn's accomplice.  Bo and Hope learned that long ago, Gus had been abandoned on the pier by his mother.  Chloe came out of her coma and said Gus was her attacker.  Realizing the jig was up, Gus took Nicole hostage and threatened to kill her, but Bo, Roman, and Rafe took Gus down and then arrested him.  Quinn took Roman's advice and decided to leave town, and Taylor went with him.  Ivan returned to town long enough to reunite with Vivian, who agreed to go to India with him, where he is working on a Bollywood musical.  Brady arranged for Chloe to get a reward for Gus' capture so she can start over, and also arranged an audition for her in Chicago.  Melanie said goodbye to Dario, who accepted a job in Argentina.  Nicole and Brady broke up.  Jack Deveraux sneaked back into Salem.
9/26/11-9/30/11: Hope presided over a tribute party for Tom and Alice Horton during the opening of the renovated town square, which was paid for by Tom and Alice.  Everyone was pleased to see Carrie and Austin, who had just returned to Salem.  Carrie is now a lawyer, and Austin is a forensic accountant.  Another surprise was the return of Marlena and John; the latter revealed that he is no longer paralyzed.  John's attempt to reconnect with Brady failed.  Bo and Hope were puzzled by some old statements from a foreign bank, and about regular payments deposited and withdrawn from the account.  Bo and Hope assumed that the account belonged to Alice.  Rafe arrested John on charges of embezzlement, securities fraud, and misappropriation of pension funds.  The SEC has Austin investigating the case that led to John's arrest.  Carrie and Abigail were shocked to see Jack.  Kinsey left with Chloe, who got a singing job in Chicago.
10/3/11-10/7/11: When John was brought to his arraignment, Marlena was shocked to see he had been beaten up by other men in the holding cell.  Bo and Hope warned John he is in danger from people who lost their pensions with the disappearance of the Basic Black investment funds.  Carrie took over as John's legal counsel after his lawyer quit.  Carrie arranged for John to be released on house arrest.  John believes Stefano is behind all his problems.  EJ filed a class action suit against John.  Brady told Victor that he and John are on the outs.  Madison James arrived in town and struck a deal with Brady and Victor that Titan will own her company, Mad World Cosmetics, but she will run it.  Kate accused Madison, Brady, and Victor of stealing secrets form her company, Countess Wilhelmina.  Madison is Sami's new boss.  Jack told Jennifer and Abigail he had been kidnapped while working undercover on a drug story in Afghanistan.
10/10/11-10/14/11: Kate was upset to learn that Madison has leased space for her company, Mad World, in the new town square.  Kate was also surprised to learn that Nate Berkus is a friend of Madison's and is designing her new office.  Madison intentionally brushed up against Brady after telling him that she doesn't get personally involved with her company investors.  Bo and Hope learned that attorney Erin Hewitt handled private matters for Alice that she can't talk about, but she gave them papers that weren't confidential.  Maggie told Bo and Hope that she didn't receive a letter sent to her by Alice on the day that Alice died.  Daniel had doubts about Jack's kidnapping story.  Abigail disowned Jack when he ordered her to stay away from Chad because he's a DiMera.  John told Austin and Rafe that he's innocent of the charges against him and was set up by Stefano.
10/17/11-10/21/11: Bo and Hope showed Maggie a letter Alice had begun writing to Maggie, saying that she had learned that the eggs Maggie had harvested years ago when she and Mickey were trying to conceive had produced a child.  Maggie was stunned to learn she has a child besides Sarah and Melissa.  Bo, Hope, and Maggie learned that the medical storage facility that was supposed to have kept the eggs never existed.  Via phone, Victor told a mystery person to make sure his name is never connected to the storage facility.  Alice's lawyer walked out of the room, letting Bo, Hope, Maggie, and Melanie learn the name of the fertility clinic where the harvested eggs ended up.  Rafe told Carrie that he learned John had been at a Swiss clinic when he was supposedly in Paris.  Bo was given Rafe's job at the police department and as liaison to the FBI after Rafe was fired for secretly giving Carrie information on John's case.  Sonny is the target of cyber bullying.
10/24/11-10/28/11: Bo and Hope learned that the woman who stole Maggie's harvested eggs was Lillian Parker.  Bo, Hope, and Maggie also learned that Lillian is deceased, but had a son with the December 18th birthday.  Melanie overheard Bo, Hope, and Maggie and told them Lillian was her grandmother and asked why they were talking about her.  Bo, Hope, Maggie, and Melanie realized that Melanie's father Daniel is the baby conceived from Maggie's stolen eggs.  Melanie was pleased to learn that Maggie is her grandmother.  Carrie told Rafe that a worker in the Swiss clinic agreed to testify that John was at the clinic when the illegal transactions he's charged with took place in Paris.  Marlena worried when John broke his house arrest by removing his electronic monitor.  Sami noticed that Madison and Brady are attracted to each other.  Rafe was upset that Sami let Austin stay with them.  Chad and Sonny learned that someone is using their sports website for illegal gambling. 
10/31/11-11/4/11: Jennifer suspected Jack (in costume) was at the Halloween party, but he said he was in England with their son. Jack, who was held prisoner in Afghanistan, had a bout of post-traumatic stress while trapped in a cabin during a blizzard. Abe and Lexie were stunned when Victor wanted Abe to drop out of the mayoral race in exchange for a state-government job that Victor could arrange. Bo and Hope are checking into why deposits and withdrawals are still being made to Alice's secret bank account. Melanie is thrilled about being related to Maggie, but Daniel can't believe his parents lied to him about his ancestry. Victor insisted to Henderson that Maggie can never know that he was the one who gave her stored eggs to Daniel's parents. Sami was upset to learn that Carrie hired Rafe to find proof that John isn't guilty of the charges against him. John told Marlena that he thinks he was in the Paris cafe where the illegal transactions took place.
11/7/11-11/11/11: Maggie was pleased when Daniel's DNA tests proved that he is her son, and he accepted her as his mother.  Searching for information on the money transfers from Alice's bank account, Hope and Jennifer found a photo of an unknown baby among Alice's things, as well as a paperweight that Stefano had given Alice years ago.  An identical baby photo is in the DiMera home.  During a blizzard, Maggie and Victor were married after Daniel escorted Maggie down the aisle.  Victor worried that Maggie may someday learn that he had a role in the theft of Maggie's stored eggs.  Jack and Jennifer shared a kiss after returning from their ski trip.  Daniel, who witnessed the smooch, was devastated.  Under hypnosis, John told Marlena that he killed a French diplomat.  Marlena and John wondered if he could be guilty of the illegal transactions that he's accused of.  Johnny was missing after a gunman fired shots in an attempt to kill John.

11/14/11-11/18/11: Sami blamed John and Marlena for the attempt on John's life and for Johnny's disappearance after the gunman fired shots at John in the Brady Pub.  EJ kept mum about his guilt over Johnny's disappearance.  Rafe and the police caught the shooter, who turned out to be a cop who believes that John's embezzling caused him to lose his pension.  Sami and EJ got physical after hearing a (false) report that Johnny's body had been found.  Later, Rafe found Johnny safe and sound after Allie revealed that Johnny had a special hiding place at the Brady Pub.  After the prosecutor refused to offer John a plea bargain, Carrie set up a meeting with the judge and John pleaded guilty to the embezzlement charges and was taken to jail.  Daniel told Jennifer that he isn't giving up on her even though he saw her kissing Jack.  Hope and Bo suspect that Stefano has a connection to Alice's mysterious bank accounts.

 

11/21/11-11/25/11: John was sentenced to life in prison due to the heinous consequences of his embezzlement. Secretly, John can't remember if he is guilty or innocent of the crime. Stefano beat around the bush when Hope asked if he had given Alice a paperweight with his family emblem on it. Stefano warned Hope to drop her investigation into what appears to be Alice's secret life, because she might not like what she finds. After learning that Johnny was alive, Sami and EJ felt guilty about their illicit tryst. Sami was puzzled when Will asked after her whereabouts during the time everyone else was looking for Johnny. Will didn't tell Rafe that he had seen Sami and EJ expressing their attraction physically. Sami warned EJ that no one should ever know about their tawdry union. Jack told Jennifer that he will get help for his post-traumatic stress syndrome. Jack and Austin were offered jobs at Salem University.

11/28/11-12/2/11: Helping Jennifer, Bo and Hope look for clues to Alice's mysterious past, Daniel found a photo. The four also found a letter from EJ's mother, Susan, asking Alice for medical help for an ailing young EJ. Susan also asked Alice not to tell Stefano. Sami and EJ promised that neither of them would tell anyone about their tryst. Sami, who is unaware that Will saw her getting physical with EJ, is puzzled by his hostile attitude toward her. Will asked Gabi to get an apartment with him so he wouldn't have to be around Sami. Feeling something is missing from their relationship (he pushes her away when things get romantic), Gabi nixed moving in with Will and then broke up with him. During a therapy session with Marlena, Jack had flashbacks about being held captive in Afghanistan and the execution of a friend. Austin and Carrie will stay in Salem.

12/5/11-12/9/11: Horace and Zig, the gamblers who used Sonny and Will's sports website to create a gambling site, kidnapped Chad and Melanie and then told Will and Sonny to get their website back up and running. The gamblers also kidnapped Abigail and Gabi. Bo and Hope helped capture the gamblers while Sonny rescued Melanie, Chad saved Gabi and Austin rescued Abigail. Before decorating the traditional Horton Christmas tree, Bo and Hope found a note from Stefano hidden inside Alice's Christmas ornament. Bo and Hope didn't believe Stefano, who said he knew nothing about the note. Bo and Hope called EJ's mother, Susan, in England and told her they found the letter she sent Alice about an ailing EJ. Susan hung up after saying Stefano had found out about EJ. At his deposition, John came close to accusing Stefano of being behind the embezzlement that John is accused of.

12/12/11-12/16/11: After his deposition, John vowed to find a way to pay back all the employees of his company, Basic Black, who lost their pensions due to the embezzlement he's charged with. Rafe and Carrie realized the security photo of John supposedly making an illegal money transfer from Basic Black funds was tampered with, and John hadn't embezzled his company's funds. John nixed Stefano and EJ's offer to buy Basic Black. Daniel told Jennifer that he can't keep seeing her while she's dating Jack. Jennifer later told Jack that Daniel broke up with her, but admitted she still has feelings for Daniel. Jack and Daniel decided to get along despite their situation with Jennifer. Daniel worried that his career as a surgeon could be over if the pain and stiffness in his hands is caused by myasthenia gravis, which he could have inherited from Maggie. Madison and Brady got physical.

12/19/11-12/23/11: Lexie told Daniel that tests showed he doesn't have myasthenia gravis, but does have the DNA markers for it. Lexie assured Daniel that she would help find the cause for his shaky hands. Because of his condition, Daniel took himself off the surgery rotation at the hospital. Despite feeling guilty about sleeping with EJ. Sami renewed marriages vows with Rafe on Christmas Eve. It was all Will could do not to reveal that he knows about Sami's indiscretion. Stefano played dumb when Bo and Hope asked about the IOU he gave Alice years ago. Stefano hinted that John couldn't have embezzled money from Basic Black. After checking with the French government through Interpol, Rafe, Bo and Hope learned the Internet in France had been down when John supposedly committed the embezzlement, proving that he was framed, EJ secretly fumed when he learned that John was a free man. Madison received a phone call from someone from her past.

12/26/11-12/30/11: After Bo accidentally broke the plaque in the town square that honors Alice and Tom Horton, he and Hope were surprised to find a key inside the plaque. Bo and Hope learned that Alice's lawyer, Erin, arranged for the maker of the plaque to put the inside it per Alice's wishes. Doug told Bo and Hope that he, Bill and Mike had been in Africa when the bank account in Alice's name was opened. Madison thanked Brady for finding a photo of her as a child with her mother. John liquidated Basic Black and then repaid all the people who lost their pensions. Stefano didn't tell EJ that he helped get the embezzlement charges against John dropped, but John confronted Stefano after Marlena admitted that he helped her free him. Abigail didn't reveal her feelings for Austin after she and Chad agreed to break up. Chad didn't tell Melanie that he has feelings for Abigail. Will told Marlena that he saw Sami getting physical with EJ.

 
1/2/12-1/6/12: John was surprised when Brady offered to quit Titan and help John rebuild Basic Black. Brady set up a meeting with John after Madison urged him to quit working for her and team up with John. While planning a trip to Hawaii, Jennifer told Jack that she isn't ready for anything but friendship with him. Jennifer comforted Daniel after he learned that his hand tremors are incurable, which means his career as a surgeon is over. Unaware of Daniel's bad news, Jack wasn't happy to see Jennifer in Daniel's arms. Despite her split with Chad, Abigail was upset when she saw him and Melanie in a close moment. Chad was angry when he saw Quinn's interest in Melanie. Unaware of Abigail's interest in him, Austin told her to go after the man she's interested in. Austin helped Carrie and Rafe, who opened a private detective office. A woman named Tillie sought Carrie and Rafe's help. Will is blackmailing EJ over his affair with Sami.
1/9/12-1/13/12: Bo and Hope sought marriage counseling and help dealing with the death of their son from Marlena.  Bo and Hope took the key they found in the plaque to the bank and learned that Alice had opened the safe deposit box with a mystery person. Will's attempt to blackmail EJ with his knowledge of EJ's tryst with Sami backfired when EJ forced Will to work for him by threatening to reveal that Will shot him several years ago and let Lucas (Will's father) go to prison for it. To foil Abe's run for mayor, EJ made Will steal Abe's file on a job-creation program. Brady quit his position of CEO at Titan and went to work with John, who began replacing the Basic Black pensions that had been stolen. Madison called her mystery person for advice after Victor offered her the job as Titan CEO. Sonny told his friend Mateo that Will isn't ready to admit that he's gay. Unaware that Abigail has feelings for him, Austin hired her as his assistant.
1/16/12-1/20/12: Melanie and Maggie were upset when Daniel said that he was leaving town because he needs time to get over the end of his relationship with Jennifer and accept the fact that he can never be a surgeon again because of his hand tremors.  Jack told Jennifer about Daniel's decision.  Realizing that Stefano must have been Alice's mystery partner, Bo got proof of his suspicion after luring Victor to the bank by letting him think there was a problem with the safe deposit box.  Jennifer realized that EJ stole Abe's detailed jobs program and then passed it off as his own.  Sami (who secretly still works for Madison) and Madison are plotting to ruin Kate.  Gabi has feelings for Chad, but he thinks of her only as a friend.  Nicole and Jennifer nearly came to blows when Jennifer accused Nicole of helping EJ steal Abe's jobs program.  Sami fumed when she learned that Will is working for EJ.

1/23/12-1/27/12: Brady was angry when Madison told him that Sami is secretly working for her and that they are plotting to sabotage Kate.  Madison let Brady know that her plot against Kate is personal and based on something that happened between her and Kate years ago.  Victor, Brady, and Maggie were surprised when Madison turned down Victor's offer to run Titan.  Madison called the mystery person and said that she turned down the Titan job.  Rafe was upset when Sami told him that she is still working for Madison and that they are planning to ruin Kate.  Rafe accused Sami of scheming with Madison because she doesn't like that he and Carrie are business partners.  Marlena failed to get Will to talk about his sexuality.  Will told Sonny that he wasn't interested in hanging out with his gay friends.  Jennifer gave Daniel a goodbye kiss.  Stefano told Bo and Hope that the safe deposit box contains secrets that could hurt members of his and Alice's family.
1/30/12-2/3/12: Sami and Austin caught Carrie and Rafe in a close moment while practicing a dance for Sydney's birthday party.  Carrie and Rafe celebrated after solving their first case and ended up in a passionate lip-lock - which Sami walked in on.  Nicole badgered EJ about Will until EJ said that he blackmailed Will into working for him because Will, not Lucas, is the one who shot him years ago. Sami confronted Will, who was packing to move out, about his anger toward her, and he finally admitted that he had seen her hooking up with EJ at the time Johnny had gone missing. Will said that he would never forgive Sami for betraying Rafe, Will and his siblings. Sami quit working for Madison, who said that she was ending their plan to ruin Kate. Sami told Madison that she was going to keep working for Kate. After opening the safe deposit box, Bo and Hope took the envelope that Stefano had put in it, and Stefano took the envelope that Alice had put in it.
2/6/12-2/10/12: Hope opened the envelope that she took from Alice's safe deposit box, and she and Bo learned that Hope is married to John.  Bo and Hope told John about the marriage certificate and they decided to get an annulment.  Carrie did some checking and told Bo, Hope, John, and Marlena that the marriage couldn't be annulled because it was consummated, but they can get a divorce.  The hitch is that Hope and John (they were brainwashed by Stefano at the time) have to go to Alamainia to file, and they must stay there for two weeks.  Stefano didn't open the envelope that he took from the safe deposit box.  Madison was stunned when Brady proposed to her.  Brady was surprised that a man, Ian, answered the door to Madison's room and that Ian professed to be her husband.  Sami threw Rafe out after she caught him kissing Carrie.  Austin got drunk after learning that Carrie kissed Rafe, and then passed out on a couch with Abigail, who let him think that they'd had an intimate physical encounter.
2/13/12-2/17/12: All it took from Madison was a slight hesitation to confirm to Brady that she is married to Ian McAllister.  Brady told Madison that he wanted nothing more to do with her, and then blasted her for letting him fall in love with her and propose to her while she was already married.  Madison and Brady learned that Ian is the new CEO of Titan.  Victor was stunned to learn of Ian's position, and tried to void the contract Ian had signed, but Ian refused.  Kate was not happy to see Ian, who had dumped her during their past romantic relationship.  Ian grabbed Kate and gave her a kiss.  Rafe talked to Will about Sami's recent strange behavior, but Will didn't tell him that she had slept with EJ.  EJ fumed when Abe won the mayoral election.  When allegations of ballot tampering were bandied about, Lexie assumed Abe rigged the election.  Abigail kept letting Austin think he slept with her.
2/20/12-2/24/12: After listening to Marlena and Sami argue over Sami's refusal to tell Rafe that she slept with EJ, Will ran off and met Sonny at the pub.  After getting drunk, Will grabbed a guy, Neil, and kissed him.  An upset Will told Marlena that he had kissed Neil, and she said she loves him and is there for him.  Rafe confronted EJ after overhearing Will tell Sonny that Sami had slept with EJ.  Sami arrived and tried to get Rafe to back off, but he attacked EJ.  Nicole, who had just accept a new wedding ring from EJ, ran off after learning that EJ slept with Sami.  As John and Hope waited for their flight to leave for Alamainia to get a divorce, they were unaware that a mystery man was watching them.  Abigail fumed when Austin told her that he loves Carrie and apologized for hurting Abigail (he thinks he slept with her).  Kate realized that Madison planned to destroy her because of Kate's past affair with Ian.  Lexie wrongly believes Abe is guilty of ballot tampering.

2/27/12-3/2/12: In Alamainia, John and Hope filed for divorce and later remembered when Stefano used mind control on them, calling John "The Pawn" and Hope "Princess Gina." John met with ISA agents Spencer and Walsh. Walsh was later murdered by a mysterious assailant. John and Hope were surprised to see Stefano, who, lying, said he didn't know they were in the area. At their hotel, John and Hope found Walsh's body. When Brady talked about Madison getting a divorce from Ian, she told him that Ian won't let her go. Vowing to fight for their love, Brady and Madison expressed it physically. Will told Sonny that he kissed Neil, but said he's not ready to admit he's gay. A returned Daniel told Nicole that her pregnancy tests were positive. Daniel agreed not to tell EJ that Nicole is pregnant. Daniel acted cold toward Jennifer, who said that Jack had dumped her. Lucas flew in from Hong Kong after Sami called him. Rafe refused to make up with Sami.

3/5/12-3/9/12: Abigail and Melanie followed Austin and Carrie to Green Mountain Lodge.  Abigail paid Austin a surprise visit just as he was about to take a shower.  Austin told Abigail that he doesn't love her, but held her when she cried.  Carrie walked in and saw a half-dressed Austin holding Abigail.  Austin told Carrie that he loves her, and that Abigail has a crush on him.  Kate introduced Gabi and Chad to her daughter, Billie Reed, who returned to Salem to take over as CEO of Countess Wilhelmina.  Billie rushed to the hospital to see Bo (her ex) who was in a coma after Moroni's thugs beat him up.  Sami was stunned to learn that Lucas has a fiancee in Hong Kong.  Ian blackmailed Madison into staying with him by threatening to have Brady arrested for his role in Sami's corporate espionage plot.  Brady, who said he could help Madison get a divorce, stormed off when she told him she still loves Ian and is going to stay married to him.
3/12/12-3/16/12: Hope was surprised when Billie answered the phone in Bo's hospital room, and then panicked when she learned that he's dying.  Billie was unable to contact Hope, and Hope was unable to get a call through to find out about Bo.  Lexie told Billie that Bo was stable but in bad shape.  Hope and John were caught by Stefano when they broke into an Alamainia office building to get their passports so they could return to Salem.  Stefano got them away from the police, but refused to return their passports.  Carrie walked out on Austin after Abigail blurted out a lie about sleeping with him.  Carrie turned to Rafe, who was surprised when she said she's in love with him.  Austin took off after overhearing Carrie say she loves Rafe.  Carrie and Rafe realized that they can't be together.  Abigail decided not to tell Austin that he didn't have carnal knowledge of her.  Kate told Billie that Sami is the "mole" at Countess Wilhelmina.

3/19/12-3/23/12: In Alamainia, Stefano drugged John and Hope and put them in a dungeon in a warehouse.  Stefano said that he needs John and Hope for a "project," and to force them to do what he wants, showed John a surveillance video in which one of Stefano's henchmen was tailing Marlena back in Salem.  The Brady clan worried about Bo, who is in a medically induced coma.  Lucas cautioned Will that people would get the "wrong idea" if he hangs out with Sonny and his gay friends.  Will told Kate she was wrong when she told him that he's gay.  Later, Will admitted to Marlena that he is indeed gay.  After Jack blasted Austin for taking advantage of Abigail, she blurted out that she lied about Austin making love to her (when he was drunk).  Carrie was angry that Abigail's deception wrecked so many lives.  Austin hopes that he and Carrie will have a second chance.  Kate told Sami that she knows Sami's the mole in her company.  Rafe told Sami that he wants a divorce.

3/26/12-3/30/12: Unaware that Billie is working with the ISA and looking for evidence against Stefano, Kate let Billie move into the DiMera mansion.  Billie was put on the spot when EJ caught her snooping in some confidential DiMera files.  Later, Billie took photos of an invoice for a large number of weapons.  In Alamainia, Hope and John agreed to be turned back into Princess Gina and The Pawn via hypnosis to protect Marlena, who is being watched by one of Stefano's armed thugs.  Stefano ordered Princess Gina (Hope) and The Pawn (John) to find the priceless Anastasia egg they stole for him years ago but never gave him.  EJ said he would be there for Sami, who told him Rafe is divorcing her.  Nicole told EJ that she had filed for a divorce and he later learned she's pregnant.  In front of Carrie, Sami accused Rafe of sleeping with Nicole. Carrie believed Rafe when he said it didn't happen.
4/2/12-4/6/12: After hearing EJ say to a pregnant Nicole that she'll never keep their child away from him, Rafe announced that he is the father of Nicole's baby.  Nicole told Rafe that they'll need to tamper with the results of the paternity test that EJ is demanding be done ASAP.  After Lexie had a fainting spell, her mother, Celeste, arrived and said that her tarot cards predicted bad news for Lexie.  Daniel later told Abe, Celeste, and Lexie that Lexie has an inoperable brain tumor.  Cameron, a newcomer in Salem, turned out to be Lexie's half-brother.  He's also a doctor and wants to help Lexie.  As The Pawn and Princess Gina, John and Hope retrieved the Anastasia egg from the bedroom of Count Wilhelm after knocking him out.  Later, John saw a photo of Marlena and snapped out of the hypnotic trance Stefano put him in, and Hope also came out of hypnosis after John showed her a photo of Bo.  Will admitted to Marlena that he's gay.
4/9/12-4/13/12: EJ arrived at the DiMera mansion just as Billie found some hidden documents.  EJ, who had no knowledge of the documents, was stunned to learn that Stefano had rigged the mayoral election and that Stefano had also framed John for embezzlement.  EJ admitted to Nicole that it was his idea to frame John to prove he could run the DiMera "family business."  EJ worried when the embezzlement money, which he had hidden, was missing.  Stefano tried to stop John and Hope from leaving Alamainia after discovering John and Hope had stolen a gold coin hidden in the Anastasia egg and replaced it with a fake.  Agent Spencer put John and Hope on a private jet back to Salem.  Marlena was upset to learn that John is working with the ISA to bring down Stefano.  Hope visited a comatose Bo, who moved his hand when she spoke to him.  Stefano vowed revenge after learning that Kate had slept with Ian.
4/16/12-4/20/12: Stefano reeled after reading the letter that Alice put in the safe deposit box years ago, in which he learned that he isn't EJ's father.  EJ was stunned when Stefano kicked him out of his life.  Stefano also gave Kate the boot after telling her that he knows she slept with Ian.  Sami taunted Kate after being named CEO of Countess Wilhelmina and watching as Stefano took Hearth & Home away from Kate and Lucas.  Brady and Madison were skeptical when Ian said he would give her a divorce.  Ian later told Kate that he's leaving Madison so he can be with her.  Madison was stunned when Ian made her and Kate co-CEOs of Mad World.  EJ was devastated when Lexie told him that her brain tumor is inoperable.  Unaware Billie works for the ISA, EJ rejected her offer to help find the missing embezzlement money.  Marlena is upset that John is working with the ISA again to bring down Stefano.  Will told Gabi that he's gay.  Daniel and Billie enjoyed a dinner date.
4/23/12-4/27/12: Abe, Celeste, and Cameron were with Lexie when Dr. Yu said that Lexie's tests show she has only a few weeks to live.  Stefano rushed to Lexie's side after Kate told him about Lexie's illness.  Stefano blamed himself for Lexie's tumor after learning that it was caused by toxic gases from underground tunnels.  Stefano remembered that his henchman held Lexie captive in the tunnel that runs under the DiMera mansion.  EJ heard Stefano order tests on the tunnel.  Stefano came close to telling EJ that he isn't his father.  After Stefano demanded that John and Hope return the coin from the Anastasia egg, John and Marlena were attacked by a thug with a knife and someone tailed Hope and Bo.  The name Yvette was part of a code on the egg coin.  Lucas accepted Sami's job offer at Countess Wilhelmina after his betrothed dumped him and he heard Kate vow to get revenge against Sami.  Celeste warned Cameron that Abigail is trouble.
4/30/12-5/4/12: Stefano fumed when Agent Harmon, who works for him, said the coin that Bo and Hope sent him is a fake.  On Stefano's orders, Harmon rigged a bomb in the alarm system of the safe house and set it to explode when a door or window opens.  Trapped in the house, Rafe, Carrie, Bo, Hope, John, and Marlena failed to defuse the bomb, despite instructions from Roman.  Roman brought Shane Donovan to the house to help, but he and Roman could only watch as the bomb went off.  Before the explosion, Rafe told Carrie that he isn't the father of Nicole's baby.  EJ confronted Stefano after finding the document that proves he isn't Stefano's son.  Stefano said Alice had saved EJ's life when he was a baby and she learned that he couldn't be Stefano's son.  Stefano told EJ that he doesn't know the identity of EJ's real father.  Ian put something in Brady's drink that caused him to become agitated.
5/7/12-5/11/12: Roman and Shane were relieved to see that John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, Rafe, and Carrie survived the explosion - they were able to shield themselves when the bomb went off.  To keep Stefano from knowing that everyone survived, Roman told friends and families of the "victims" that they were all dead.  The "victims" realized that Agent Harmon is a double agent.  Stefano blasted Agent Harmon for planting the bomb because Stefano didn't want anyone killed.  After the memorial service, Roman told the families of the "victims" that they have to play along in order to take down Stefano.  Shane brought Billie to meet with Bo and Hope after revealing that Billie is working undercover with the CIA to put Stefano in prison.  As part of the plan, Billie told EJ that Stefano got John released after he was convicted of stealing the pension funds.  Rafe told Nicole that Carrie knows he didn't father Nicole's baby.
5/14/12-5/18/12: Learning that Stefano was going to make a deal with arms dealer Vladimir Nevsky, John, Bo, Hope, and Rafe arranged a sting in which they outbid Stefano for the guns.  After overpowering Nevsky and his thugs, the four waited for Stefano.  Stefano was arrested after a disguised Bo got him to confess that he planned to buy illegal guns for resale.  EJ warned Stefano that he plans to take control of the DiMera empire even though he isn't Stefano's son.  Sami ran off when Will finally told her and Lucas that he's gay.  While Lucas accepted Will's sexuality, EJ had to tell Sami that she needs to be there for Will.  Will stormed out after Sami blasted him for talking to Marlena about his orientation.  When Cameron told Lexie that he worked with autistic children during his residency, she asked him to be a part of Theo's life when she's gone.  Celeste warned Cameron that danger surrounds Abigail.
5/21/12-5/25/12: Carrie bought a pregnancy test kit after Austin talked about them buying a house and starting a family.  Austin saw the kit and realized that Carrie is pregnant.  Rafe was stunned when Austin said that he and Carrie are having a baby.  Rafe and Nicole ran into Carrie and Austin at the hospital, and Carrie assured Nicole that she won't reveal that the father of Nicole's baby is EJ, not Rafe.  John, Hope, Bo, Shane, and Rafe were furious when a CIA agent claimed that Stefano was working with the CIA to get illegal guns off the market in return for immunity for all of his recent crimes.  Later, both John and Marlena bought guns and vowed to bring Stefano down.  After Daniel told Lexie that she only has a few days to live, she collapsed in Abe's arms.  Abe vowed to make Stefano pay for his role in causing Lexie's illness.  Maggie fumed when she learned that Victor had stolen her stored eggs years ago and given them to friends (Daniel's "parents").
5/28/12-6/1/12: Rafe was upset to learn that Carrie is having Austin's baby, and he and Carrie later acknowledged that they can't be together and said their goodbyes.  EJ pulled a gun on Stefano after accusing him of ruining his life, but couldn't pull the trigger.  Abe confronted Stefano for causing Lexie's illness, but he couldn't pull the trigger either, and not wanting anything to do with the gun, left Stefano's home without it.  Lucas took the gun that Will had bought and locked it up.  John, Marlena, Bo, and Hope, who also had guns, as well as Abe, Kate, Will, and EJ, all felt that the only way to defeat Stefano was to kill him.  As Stefano enjoyed a cigar and his opera music, a mystery person picked up Abe's gun and shot him.  To get Chad's attention, Gabi hired a man, Andrew, to pretend to be her stalker.  Daniel stopped Nicole from switching the test samples for the paternity test that EJ had ordered done on her baby.  Lexie continued saying her farewells.
6/4/12-6/8/12: Daniel told EJ and Nicole of the results of the paternity test on her baby: Rafe is the father.  EJ warned Nicole that he isn't through with her.  Nicole thanked Daniel for letting her get away with switching the test results.  After Austin told Carrie that Rafe fathered Nicole's baby, Rafe told her the test results must have been tampered with.  Carrie and Rafe realized that they can never be together.  Roman interviewed all the suspects in Stefano's murder including John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, EJ, Will, Abe, and Kate, but later arrested Will, the only suspect with gunpowder residue on his hands.  All of the suspects agreed that Stefano got what he deserved.  Andrew told Gabi that he knows she hired him to be her "stalker" because she wanted to get Chad's attention.  Chad told Rafe about Gabi's "stalker."  EJ told Sami that Stefano's evil ways died with him.

6/11/12-6/15/12: Will was surprised when he learned that EJ had bailed him out of jail after he was arrested for Stefano's murder.  EJ told Will that he expects Will to continue working for him and to do whatever EJ wants him to do.  EJ reminded Will he can always tell the police that Will shot him years ago.  Will told Marlena that he didn't kill Stefano.  John realized that Roman thinks EJ was behind Stefano's murder.  EJ took the papers that prove he wasn't Stefano's son.  Because of his connections to all of the suspects in Stefano's murder, Roman had Rafe take over the investigation.  Kate burned her divorce papers along with a non-compete clause that Stefano had sent her.  EJ doesn't trust Ian, who suggested they work together.  Brady is unaware that Ian has been spiking his protein shakes with drugs.  Andrew, Gabi's stalker, prepared a basement room, part of a plan to kidnap Melanie.  Victor asked Maggie for a second chance.
6/18/12-6/22/12: Lexie died in Abe's arms as they reminisced about their life and love for each other.  Bo and Hope comforted Abe as he tried to deal with Lexie's death.  Abe told John and Marlena that Stefano died knowing he was to blame for Lexie's illness and eventual death.  Cameron told Celeste that he's staying in Salem and wants to be an uncle to Theo.  Celeste, who is psychic, warned Cameron that Abigail is surrounded by bad vibes.  Melanie was unable to escape from Andrew, who kidnapped her and locked her in a basement room to keep her away from Chad.  Andrew sent Chad a text message stating that Melanie had gone to Europe to visit her mother. Gabi was happy to learn that with Melanie gone, she will have Chad to herself.  Will was cleared of Stefano's murder when his friend Neil told the police that he and Will had been at a gay bar when the murder took place.  Will found the papers stating that EJ isn't Stefano's son.
6/25/12-6/29/12: Madison was upset when Brady's drug test came out positive, while Brady insisted that someone had been slipping him drugs.  When quizzed by Kate, Ian denied having anything to do with Brady getting back on drugs.  Brady confronted Ian, who denied drugging him, and offered to send him to rehab.  Abe had a hard time dealing with Lexie's funeral, which was attended by family and friends.  Sonny comforted Will, who was upset that the local press printed a story about Will being cleared of Stefano's murder because of his gay bar alibi.  EJ grabbed the papers that proved he wasn't Stefano's son from Will before Will could read them.  EJ warned Stefano's lawyer, Arthur, never to tell anyone that EJ wasn't Stefano's son.  Nicole refused to tell Rafe anything about the switch in her baby's DNA test.  Gabi is upset that Chad is worried about Melanie and not paying attention to her.  Melanie attempted to escape from Andrew.
7/2/12-7/6/12: Madison was angry to see Brady coming down from a drug high.  Madison didn't believe Brady's claim that someone, somehow, is drugging him.  Ian again denied Kate's accusation that he's somehow giving Brady drugs.  Brady bought drugs and checked into a seedy motel, but resisted the urge to indulge.  Madison accused Brady of lying to her when he told her this story.  Andrew chloroformed Melanie when she tried to escape from him a second time.  Gabi demanded that Andrew stage another "stalking" episode to get Chad's attention; she was then stunned to realize that Andrew had kidnapped Melanie.  Will found the documents (again) that stated EJ isn't Stefano's son, and this time used them to blackmail EJ into training him to help run the DiMera empire.  Rafe and Spencer were surprised when EJ arrived (Will forced him) to take a polygraph test to prove he didn't kill Stefano.

7/9/12-7/13/12: EJ was stunned when he failed the polygraph test and became the prime suspect in Stefano's murder.  EJ is unaware that a mystery person paid the polygraph administrator to fake the test results.  EJ was stunned when Roman, Rafe, and Spencer, who had a search warrant for EJ's apartment, found incriminating evidence, which had been planted by the mystery person.  John wants to neutralize EJ by claiming his birthright as a DiMera and taking control of the family empire.  Gabi panicked when Chad and Daniel launched a search for Melanie after they learned that Melanie wasn't in Europe.  Gabi begged Andrew to release Melanie, but he refused.  When Gabi returned to Andrew's home, he and Melanie were gone.  By Melanie's cellphone, Chad tracked her to Andrew's home.  Ian had his thug get rid of Brady's drugged protein powder.

7/16/12-7/20/12: Will plans to show Alice's letter - admitting that EJ is not Stefano's son - to Sonny, but he misplaces it while talking to his father.  Lucas get his hands on it and takes it to Rafe, who uses it to get an arrest warrant for EJ.  Earlier, the cops found the gloves that EJ had thrown away and assume he was hiding evidence in Stefano's murder, but EJ insists that he's being framed.  Sami sides with him and helps him track down surveillance footage, but they can't tell who got the gloves out of the trash.  Meanwhile, Chad and Bo find Gabi in Andrew's basement and assume she's also been kidnapped.  Chad comforts her and tries to help, but Gabi's guilt almost gets the better of her.  Melanie wakes up in an underground tunnel, chained to a pipe, when the ceiling starts caving in.  Carrie tells Austin that she wants to raise their child back in Switzerland.

7/23/12-7/27/12: Austin said goodbye to Kate, and Carrie said goodbye to Rafe, before Austin and Carrie left Salem to return to Switzerland to save their marriage and await the birth of their baby.  Andrew set off an explosion in the tunnel.  Gabi recovered from the explosion, but couldn't get Melanie out of the tunnel before Andrew came to.  At a warehouse, the second explosion left Sami hanging from a catwalk, but EJ caught her before she fell.  Just prior to the second explosion, Chad and Brady were looking for Melanie in the tunnel.  After the explosion, Gabi ran back in the tunnel, looking for Andrew.  Brady found Melanie.  The explosion hit the ballroom, trapping Abigail in an elevator.  Ian and Madison were trapped in the ballroom, and debris rained down on Daniel and a pregnant Nicole, who was having cramps.  Ian's thug attacked Sami and stole a flashdrive that could prove that Ian is framing EJ.

8/13/12-8/17/12: After the explosion in the tunnel, Andrew disappeared.  Chad and Brady saved Melanie.  Chad was upset when he saw Melanie and Brady hugging.  As Roman quizzed Melanie about her kidnapping, Gabi came close to telling Chad that she'd hired Andrew, but changed her mind when Chad said she wasn't to blame for what happened.  After Ian found Madison, Kate overheard him tell Madison that he loved her and felt nothing for Kate.  Madison later died.  Will saved Sami and EJ.  EJ followed Will's advice and took off before the cops found him, and Sami went with him.  Jack, Jennifer, and Cameron rescued Abigail from an elevator.  Daniel and Bo found a pregnant Nicole, and Daniel was able to stop her premature labor.  Nicole decided she wants to be with Daniel who tried to tell her that it would be impossible.  Ian told Kate that he had "gotten rid of" Stefano, and then threatened her when she said she was going to the police.
 
8/20/12-8/24/12: Ian kidnapped EJ and shocked him with the news that Stefano is still alive and that EJ really is Stefano's biological son.  EJ managed to get free and went to Sami.  EJ didn't bother to rescue Stefano, who was tied up and wearing a leather face mask.  Bo and Hope later found Stefano and got him to the hospital.  Kate was shocked to learn that Stefano is alive that he'd refused to see her.  Lucas and Will learned that Sami and EJ had been caught by the police.  Melanie and Gabi were stunned to find Andrew in the hospital.  Melanie fled his room to get help.  Chad overheard Andrew threaten to tell everyone that Gabi had hired Andrew and was behind Melanie's kidnapping.  Chad threw Gabi out of his apartment and told her to stay away from Melanie.  Will's pal T returned and beat up Sonny after accusing him of making Will turn gay.  Jennifer and Abigail went out of town to spread Jack's ashes (he died of injuries from the explosion).
8/27/12-8/31/12: Will consoled Jennifer and Abigail, who had returned to town after spreading Jack's ashes.  Daniel and Chad worried about Melanie, who freaked out when she learned that Nick Fallon could get parole.  At the prison, Hope told Nick that Melanie had once again been taken prisoner and terrorized, similar to what Nick did to her years ago.  Hope and Jessica (Nick's mother) got him to go ahead with his parole hearing, unaware that Chad and Brady convinced Melanie to write a letter to the prison opposing Nick's possible release.  After learning that Will had a fight with T over his sexuality, Gabi accused Will of sleeping with her because of the fight with T.  Will refused to accept Sonny's phone calls.  Abigail realized that Will is gay.  Nicole vowed not to give up on Daniel, who rejected her romantic feelings, ended their secret affair, and said they can't live together.  Will knows that EJ is Stefano's biological son.

9/3/12-9/7/12: Daniel was happy to see that Kayla had returned and that she is taking over Lexie's former job as chief of staff at the hospital.  Because he doesn't want to be close to Jennifer, Daniel wasn't thrilled when Kayla talked about rehiring Jennifer at the hospital.  Melanie testified at Nick's parole hearing and, for her grandmother's (Maggie) sake, supported Nick's parole.  Chad, Daniel, Maggie, and Jessica were shocked that Nick was granted parole, and Melanie was stunned to learn that Nick won't be allowed to leave Salem.  Lucas assured EJ that he is finished with Sami, but warned EJ that she would turn her attentions toward Rafe again.  Sami got upset when EJ said that Rafe could be the father of Nicole's baby (it's a boy).  Abigail was not happy to learn that Jennifer let Nicole move in with them.  Will wrongly things Sonny is in love with Brian.  Brady made Kate CEO of Mad World.
9/10/12-9/14/12: Maggie agreed to let Nick move in because he is family and can't leave town.  Melanie was shocked when she cam face-to-face with Nick, but pretended she wasn't afraid of him.  Melanie assured Chad that she accepted his marriage proposal because she loves him, not because she learned that Nick has to stay in Salem.  Caroline gave Nick a job at the pub, and he apologized for letting her take the rap for Trent's murder years ago.  Will and Sonny admitted their attraction to each other after Will said he thought Sonny and Brian were a couple until T told him of Sonny's affection.  Adrienne isn't happy about Sonny and Will's relationship.  EJ was forced to resign as mayor of Salem.  EJ is secretly planning legal action to get custody of Nicole's baby (he doesn't know he's the father).  Jennifer was upset to see Daniel kissing Nicole.  Sami was stunned when, during an argument, Rafe grabbed her and kissed her.

9/17/12-9/21/12: After he talked about quitting the police force to accomplish more in his life, Hope told Bo to pursue his dreams.  John broke up EJ and Rafe, who got into a fistfight over Sami.  Jennifer confronted Nicole about jeopardizing Daniel's career after overhearing EJ tell Justin that he would destroy Daniel if Daniel learns that he is the real father of Nicole's baby.  EJ asked Justin to find out if Rafe might have switched a previous DNA test on the baby's paternity.  Will was hurt when he overheard Adrienne tell Justin that Will isn't good for Sonny, but Sonny told Will that he doesn't agree with Adrienne.  Melanie met with Nick and was convinced that he is a changed man and not a threat to her.  Unaware of Melanie's meeting with Nick, Chad attacked Nick when he wrongly thought Nick had done harm to her.  Melanie is upset that everyone seems to be against her marrying Chad.
9/24/12-9/28/12: Gabi confessed to Melanie that she hired Andrew to be her "stalker," to get Chad's attention.  Melanie broke off her engagement to Chad after realizing that he had known about Gabi and Andrew all along and didn't tell her.  Melanie told Chad, Brady, Daniel, and Maggie that she was leaving for Europe.  Will and Sonny spent time together after admitting their feelings for each other.  Lucas was not pleased when he happened to see Will and Sonny kissing.  Sami urged Lucas to accept that Will and Sonny are together and added that Adrienne has to do the same thing.  Caroline was supportive when Bo told her that he wants to quit the police force and do something else with his life.  Nicole doctored a photo to show her and Rafe in bed together in order to convince both Sami and EJ that Rafe is the father of her baby.  EJ forced Rafe to tell Sami that they're through by threatening to send Gabi to jail.
10/1/12-10/5/12: Bo made the decision to quit the police force and handed Roman his resignation.  Bo then spent time with Hope and their daughter Ciara.  An angry Chad blamed Gabi when he received a "Dear John" letter from Melanie.  EJ fumed when he learned Nick forced Chad to sign legal papers to keep him from telling the police about Gabi's part in Melanie's kidnapping.  Rafe patched things up with Sami after learning EJ can no longer blackmail him with the threat to send Gabi to jail.  Daniel told Jennifer they can't be friends because he feels it's his place to help Nicole and her baby.  At her doctor's appointment, Nicole was in shock when her baby had no heartbeat and the doctor said her baby was dead.  Nicole rushed to tell Daniel her baby had died, but said nothing when she saw him with Jennifer.  Sami asked Rafe if he really is the father of Nicole's baby, adding that if he isn't, she would help him deal with EJ's threats.

10/8/12-10/12/12: When Daniel told Nicole he would move to Utah with her, she kept mum that her unborn baby was dead and hoped they would leave town together before he finds out.  In a scuffle at the town square, Nicole grabbed Jennifer with the intention of stabbing her, but fell down some stairs when Jennifer pushed her away.  Brady and Billy saw what happened and told police it looked like Jennifer pushed Nicole, who went into labor and delivered a stillborn son.  Jennifer was arrested for murdering Nicole's baby.  John and Marlena are unaware that Stefano is trying to get his adopted daughter, Kristen Blake DiMera, to go to Salem.  Chad told Kate she's better off without Stefano.  Bo, Gabi, and Kayla worried Caroline, who acted confused at times and had moments of memory loss, could have Alzheimer's disease.  Rafe and Sami kissed after patching things up between them.  Bo told Hope he's rethinking his plan to sail around the world.
10/15/12-10/19/12: Kristen arrived in Salem as per Stefano's wishes.  After waking from a nightmare in which Kristen was in his bed, John wondered why she was suddenly on his mind.  Marlena was surprised to come face-to-face with Kristen.  Kristen called Stefano to tell him EJ told her he didn't need her and he doesn't need Stefano.  Nicole insisted to Daniel that Jennifer deliberately pushed her down the stairs, causing her to lose her baby.  Daniel believed Jennifer (she is out on bail), who said she didn't push Nicole.  EJ recorded  Nicole's admission that he was her baby's father.  Sami refused to have anything to do with Rafe after EJ confronted Rafe about his lie that he fathered Nicole's baby.  Bo told Hope that Caroline may have Alzheimer's disease, and later told Kayla, Victor, and Maggie he will be Caroline's primary caregiver.  While on a first date with Gabi, Nick covered his surprise when he learned Will, who once dated Gabi, is gay.
10/22/12-10/26/12: After Kayla was able to get Caroline into a program for Alzheimer's treatment, Hope agreed that Bo should go with Caroline to California to watch over her during the course of the treatment.  John didn't believe Kristen, who said she wanted to make amends with him and Marlena for all that went down between them years ago.  Marlena warned John not to trust Kristen.  Stefano felt he was making headway wit EJ.  EJ called and ordered Stefano to keep Kristen away from him.  Kristen informed a stunned Sami that she is now her boss.  Daniel, who doesn't believe Jennifer caused the death of Nicole's baby, said he would leave town with Nicole, but only if she didn't press charges against Jennifer.  Jennifer was surprised when the charges against her were dropped.  Nicole didn't admit that her baby was dead before she fell down the stairs.  Nick is uncomfortable around Sonny and Will.

10/29/12-11/2/12: Bo and Caroline left for California so she could be part of the clinical program for Alzheimer's patients.  Before leaving, Bo and Caroline said goodbye to Roman, Kayla, Hope, and Ciara.  Bo also said goodbye to Victor.  Hope gave Bo two  videos that could help him eventually bring down Stefano.  Nicole was anxious to get out of town before Daniel realizes that she lost her baby before she fell down the stairs.  EJ blasted Nicole for letting Daniel convince her not to press charges against Jennifer for the death of EJ and Nicole's baby.  Sami suspects Nicole lied about Jennifer causing her baby's death.  At the hospital, Daniel was suspicious after he found part of a baby outfit that Nicole had purchased.  Will got upset when Lucas wondered what Sonny really sees in Will.  When Will quizzed Sonny, Sonny asked him to leave.  Brady warned Kristen to stay away from John and Marlena.  Kristen gave Kate a message from Stefano.
11/5/12-11/9/12: After contacting Dr. Sedwick, Daniel learned that Nicole had lost her baby before her confrontation with Jennifer and her fall down the stairs.  Nicole, who had stolen a scalpel from the hospital, accused Jennifer of coming between her and Daniel.  Daniel found Nicole and told her that he knows she lost the baby and that Jennifer had nothing to do with it.  Daniel convinced Nicole to drop the scalpel, and then he and Rafe prevented her attempted suicide.  After seeing the autopsy for his and Nicole's baby, EJ realized no one was responsible for the baby's death.  Kristen told Stefano that she's working to bring the DiMera family back together.  John was stunned to see Kristen when he arrived to make repairs on the Horton family cabin.  Kristen told John that she's sorry for all the things she did to him years ago, but he was unable to forgive her.  Sonny agreed to meet with Will.
11/12/12-11/16/12: Nicole was surprised to see her former love, Eric Brady, back in town; and even more surprised to learn that he's now a priest.  Sami warned her brother, Eric, to stay away from Kristen, but he offered to help her after realizing that she'd hit rock bottom.  Marlena was furious when she found Kristen at the Horton cabin with John, who explained that Kristen missed the last ferry from the island.  Daniel hugged Jennifer when she said she wouldn't press legal charges against Nicole.  Daniel agreed to consider taking part in a clinical trial that may cure the hand tremors that sidelined his surgical career.  To help get EJ and Sami back together, Kristen stepped down as CEO of Countess Wilhelmina so EJ could take over and become Sami's boss.  Stefano was pleased that EJ contacted him.  After Brady and Kristen argued, he rescued her from a mugger, and was then knocked out by a second mugger.  Will and Sonny are back together.

11/19/12-11/23/12: Eric explained to Nicole some of the reasons why he had decided to become a priest.  Eric offered Nicole sympathy over the death of her unborn baby, and also urged her to find a way to make peace with Daniel and Jennifer.  At the town square, Nicole recalled the terrible history between her and Jennifer, which culminated in her falsely saying that Jennifer pushed her down the stairs in the town square, causing her baby's death.  Later, at the Horton home, Nicole came face-to-face with Jennifer.  Brady, who was hospitalized with a concussion, believes that Kristen has changed for the better.  John blasted Marlena for erasing the voice messages that Kristen left about Brady being attacked and sent to the hospital.  Marlena's refusal to forget her paranoia about Kristen caused a rift between her and John.  Lucas dropped his hostility toward Sonny.  Kayla told Hope that Bo and Caroline could be coming home soon.
11/26/12-11/30/12: Rafe tracked Gabi to the clinic after realizing that she was going to terminate her pregnancy, and was relieved when she couldn't go through with it.  Nick, who thinks Chad is the baby's father, confronted Gabi.  Knowing Will's orientation, Nick didn't believe him when he blurted out that he's the father of Gabi's baby.  Gabi apologized for not telling Nick that she and Will had once slept together.  Nick asked Gabi to marry him and let everyone think that he's the baby's father.  Jennifer was stunned and Daniel was devastated when the treatment for his hand tremors didn't work.  Everyone was pleased to learn that a returned Caroline is responding positively to the Alzheimer's medication.  Kate confronted Stefano at his European cafe and signed their divorce papers when he refused to reconcile.  Eric offered Nicole a job as secretary at his church.  Brady learned that Kristen has feelings for him.  Rafe learned that EJ is Sami's boss.
 
12/3/12-12/7/12: Daniel told Jennifer to leave him alone when she tried to console him about the treatment's failure to stop his hand tremors.  Jennifer and Nicole followed Daniel to the cabin on Smith Island, where he planned to spend some time alone.  Daniel walked in on an argument between Jennifer and Nicole.  Daniel was stunned when Jennifer had an attack of appendicitis and collapsed while they were arguing.  Brady told Kristen that he overheard her say she has feelings for him, and they later ended up having physical relations.  Kristen didn't tell Brady that Marlena had seem them.  Kristen thought that Marlena was going to tell John that she saw Brady and Kristen, but Marlena instead admitted to John that she had broken into Kristen's hotel room.  Will reluctantly signed away parental rights to his and Gabi's baby.  Nick and Gabi later told Sonny that she's pregnant and they are getting married.  Nicole warned EJ that Sami still loves Rafe.
 
12/10/12-12/14/12: Victor warned Brady to stay away from Kristen, but it was too late.  At Kristen's hotel room, Brady hid when John arrived to thank her for not charging Marlena for breaking into her hotel room.  John gave Kristen a gift that Brady bought her but had left behind.  Brady gave Kristen a bracelet after John left.  Kristen is still plotting against Brady.  On Smith Island, Daniel saved Jennifer's life by performing emergency surgery when her appendix burst.  At the hospital, Daniel was hurt that Jennifer, who had been mediated, didn't remember saying she loves him.  Sami began planning Gabi and Nick's wedding, but Hope thinks they're rushing things.  Eric agreed to council Gabi and Nick, and realized that Gabi is pregnant.  Chad told Sonny that Gabi was behind Melanie's kidnapping.  Kate gave Daniel a photo of Parker (he once thought Parker was his son), and told him that Chloe and Philip had split up.
12/17/12-12/21/12: Jennifer told a surprised Daniel she remembered saying she loved him while under medication after her appendectomy.  Lucas interrupted Jennifer and Daniel's kiss and accused her of having no respect for Jack's memory.  Will panicked when Sonny said he figured out Will's secret involving Nick and Gabi, but was relieved when Sonny said he knew Will took Gabi to the abortion clinic.  Will was thankful that Sonny didn't realize he is the father of Gabi's baby, not Nick.  Nick and Gabi convinced Marlena and John that they're in love and will make their marriage work.  Eric refused to tell Caroline about his experience in Africa when she noticed he seems very uneasy.  Nicole comforted Eric, who cried out after he had a nightmare about Africa and hearing a gunshot.  Jennifer told Brady she would keep mum after she saw him kissing Kristen.  Kristen schemed to use Johnny and Sydney to get closer to Brady.
 
12/24/12-12/28/12: Doug and Julie arrived for the annual Christmas get-together with the Horton family.  Nick brought Gabi, and Will brought Sonny to share in the Horton family Christmas festivities.  Horton family members gathered at the hospital, as they have done for years, to entertain sick children.  Jennifer read the Christmas story, while Maggie, Abe, and Kayla convinced a reluctant Victor to play Santa for the children.  Kate and Billie were included in the Horton Christmas party.  Eric confessed to Nicole that he feels responsible for the death of a priest who was killed when he stepped in the life of fire during his time in the Congo.  Nicole comforted Eric, who felt he should have saved the priest.  After seeing Sami and EJ in a close moment, Rafe later told Sami that he's done with her and walked out.  John saw Brady and Kristen getting physical when he went to ask Brady to spend New Year's Eve with him and Marlena.
12/31/12-1/4/13: After sharing a tender kiss on New Year's Eve, Jennifer and Daniel decided to move forward with their renewed relationship.  Anticipating Jennifer's arrival at his place after they made plans for romance, Daniel answered the door and was stunned to find Chloe standing there.  Nicole cornered EJ, allowing Sami and Rafe to share a New Year's Eve kiss.  Unable to stop thinking about kissing Sami, Rafe told Nicole that he's convinced that he and Sami will get back together.  After another kiss, Rafe told Sami to think about how she will break the news of their reunion to EJ.  When Kate warned EJ that something was going on with Rafe and Sami, the didn't believe her.  Defending Kristen's honor, Brady got into a fistfight with John after John caught Brady and Kristen in a heated moment.  John later realized that Marlena has known about Brady and Kristen all along.  Will told Gabi that he wants her to do what's best for their baby.
1/7/13-1/11/13: Surprised to see Chloe, Daniel told her that he was waiting for Jennifer, who he had a date with.  Daniel wasn't pleased when Chloe made a snide comment about Jennifer stepping out so soon after Jack's death.  After telling Daniel that she knew his hand tremors had been cured, Chloe said she had some more positive news for him - she revealed there was a problem with Parker's paternity test and that Daniel is Parker's biological father.  Chloe told Daniel that she's staying in Salem so that he and Parker can get to know each other.  Kayla gave Daniel documents (faxed by Stephanie) that prove he's Parker's father.  Marlena admitted to John that she knew Brady was sleeping with Kristen.  Feeling betrayed, John told Marlena that he was checking into a hotel.  Cameron realized that Nick couldn't be the father of Gabi's baby.  Gabi and Nick's wedding was interrupted before Eric could pronounce them man and wife.
1/14/13-1/18/13: After Chad announced at the wedding that Nick isn't the father of Gabi's baby, Will blurted out that he's the baby's father.  Nick, who heard Lucas and Will talking about when Lucas first learned that Will was his son, told Gabi they may still be able to get married and raise her baby.  Upset that Will kept the baby news from him, Sonny stated that his love for Will (and vice versa) evidently wasn't enough.  Abigail told Chad to get lost when he apologized for ruining things for Nick and Gabi as well as Will.  Sami ran to EJ after she and Rafe argued about Gabi and Will.  Chloe fumed when she saw Daniel kissing Jennifer.  Chloe refused when Daniel asked her to let Kate - who believed Parker was Philip's son and her grandson - spend time with the child.  Kate got back at Chloe by telling Jennifer that Chloe was a prostitute.  When Brady passed out, Kristen recalling hiring the muggers who beat him up, causing his head injury.
1/21/13-1/25/13: John told Marlena that he needed to go away to figure out what to do about their marriage, Brady, and the fact that Marlena kept mum about Brady's romance with Kristen.  Marlena reminded Roman that Kristen once tried to kill her.  Later, Marlena and John said goodbye, and John departed.  After Eric forced Brady and Kristen to resign from the church board, Eric argued with Brady over his relationship with Kristen.  Nicole decided to help Eric by breaking up Brady and Kristen.  During a house call to check out Brady, Cameron told Kristen that Brady should go to the hospital to get tested if he passes out again.  Chloe's plan to make Daniel believe that Jennifer told Child Protective Services that Chloe is a bad mother backfired when Daniel believed Jennifer's denial.  Nick asked Justin for custody advice after Gabi agreed to Will's desire to be part of his baby's life.  Chad was upset over being rejected by Abigail.
1/28/13-2/1/13: After Nick told Rafe that Sami threatened Gabi and accused her of trying to keep Will out of their baby's life, Rafe barged in on Sami, who was with EJ, and warned her to back off.  When Sami started to confess, EJ told her that Rafe had already told him about he and Sami planning to get back together before Gabi and Nick's wedding went south, and the truth that Will is the father of Gabi's baby came out.  EJ and Sami later got intimate.  After Chloe admitted that she still had feelings for Daniel, he made it plain that she wasn't moving into his place and that they aren't going to get back together.  Chloe continued trying to sabotage Daniel and Jennifer's relationship.  Brady and Kristen realized that Nicole tried to frame Kristen for corporate espionage by putting confidential files on her computer.  Billie quit her Mad World job, told her mother that she didn't want to be part of her schemes, and left town.
2/4/13-2/8/13: Nick was listening when Rafe told Gabi that Sami thinks Will may decide to go for full custody of Gabi's baby (a girl) and would probably get it because Gabi plans to marry a convicted murderer (Nick).  To get something to use against Will, Nick anonymously sent Lucas a text saying, "I know your son shot EJ."  The text caused Lucas and Will to meet and discuss the fact that "someone" knows Will shot EJ, which was recorded on a "bug" that Nick had planted on Will.  To wreak revenge upon John, Kristen schemed to get Brady to marry her and then jilt him before the wedding, just as John did to her years ago.  In Italy, John told Stefano that he would soon have to return to Salem to bail out Kristen when her schemes fail.  After crying wolf twice, Chloe called Daniel while he was on a date with Jennifer to tell him that Parker was ill.  Brady blasted Sami for throwing away what she had with Rafe and returning to EJ.

2/11/13-2/15/13: Daniel rushed back to Salem after a call from Chloe, who told him Parker was ill and in the hospital.  Daniel had it out with Jennifer after Chloe told him Jennifer lied about where she and Daniel (who were on a date) would be.  Jennifer admitted lying to Chloe, and she later left an apology note, which Chloe destroyed.  Gabi almost caught Nick listening to the audiotape of Will and Lucas talking about the time Will shot EJ.  Nick hinted to Gabi he has information on the Hortons that will ensure Will doesn't try to get custody of her baby.  Brady told Kristen, who is frustrated that she can't get him to propose, he can't marry her because he feels that he is to blame for the deaths of Arianna and Madison.  Stefano taunted Marlena that they are "family" now that EJ and Sami are back together.  Sami found a diamond ring and assumed EJ was going to propose, but instead he "proposed" a campaign to launch a new product.

2/18/13-2/22/13: A junkie held a gun to Eric's head and demanded money from the church safe.  Eric was injured and rendered unconscious when he saved Nicole, who had walked in on the holdup.  After Eric woke up, Nicole worried that he would remember her telling him that she loved him while he was passed out.  Rafe confronted Sami for verbally harassing a pregnant Gabi, who had stomach pains and was rushed to the hospital.  Luckily, the doctor was able to stop Gabi's premature labor.  Nick was upset when Rafe and Kate wanted him to postpone marrying Gabi until after her baby is born.  Nick had nightmares about the man who beat and stabbed him when he was in prison.  Nick is unaware that his assailant is about to be freed from jail.  Chloe arranged to get thrown out of the Kiriakis mansion to force Daniel to let her and Parker move into his place.  Jennifer told Daniel that she wants Chloe out of his life.

2/25/13-3/1/13: Jennifer was upset with Daniel when he wouldn't agree to her demand that he cut Chloe out of his life completely.  Jennifer comforted Abigail after Chloe started an argument with her.  Chloe told Daniel that she wants her mom, Nancy, to move in and help care for Parker.  Nick blasted Sami, accusing her of nearly causing Gabi to lose her baby.  Sami was furious when Nick said that Will should not be a part of the baby's life.  Nick confronted Will and Sonny (Will and Sonny made up) and warned Will to give up his rights to Gabi's baby or he would tell the police that Will shot EJ years ago.  EJ, Sami, Lucas, and Sonny were there when Nick ordered Will to sign papers giving up his parental rights.  The junkie who attacked Eric returned for more money and tried to strangle Eric.  Kristen convinced Brady to move into the DiMera mansion with her.  John is returning to Salem.

3/4/13-3/8/13: Hope and Eric were unaware that Vargas, the prisoner who they agreed to place in a prison-release program, is out to get Nick.  Nick told Gabi a little bit about his time in prison.  Nancy arrived in Salem after Daniel agreed via phone to her coming to help Chloe with Parker.  Nancy intentionally ruined Daniel and Jennifer's chance to make amends.  Will fumed when Nick admitted that he didn't want Will around Gabi or her baby.  Nick pressured Gabi to get married sooner rather than later.  Sami and EJ worked on a plan to get rid of Nick.  Victor and Maggie were not happy when Brady said that he moved into the DiMera mansion with Kristen.  John arrived just as Brady and Kristen were about to get physical.  Nicole realized that she and Eric will never be together.  Abigail told Cameron that there's no reason for him to be jealous of Chad.  Stefano DiMera returned to Salem.

3/11/13-3/15/13: Learning that Jennifer was headed for Daniel's hotel room, Chloe sneaked in when Daniel was absent and put some of Nancy's sleeping pills into his drink.  After Daniel passed out, Chloe made it look like they had slept together when Jennifer arrived.  Chloe was convinced that she'd won Daniel back, until he told her it would never happen.  Daniel tried to reconcile with Jennifer.  Nick warned Will that he would pay dearly if he tried to stop Nick and Gabi's wedding.  Nick and Gabi said their "I do's" at the Horton house.  A happy Nick had no idea that his former cellmate, Vargas, had just been released from prison and is plotting against him.  Lucas and Sami covered their tracks when Rafe caught them in the police evidence room, unaware that they had planned to destroy the evidence that proves that Will shot EJ.  Marlena nixed reconciling with John.  Kristen told Stefano that she plans to use Brady to get revenge against John and Marlena.

3/18/13-3/22/13: John blamed Marlena after Brady said that he wants nothing more to do with them, Brady then went to see Kristen (possibly to spite John and Marlena) and asked her to marry him.  Kristen accepted on the spot.  Brady is still unaware that Kristen is using him to get revenge on John and Marlena.  Kristen wasted no time in telling Sami and EJ about her engagement.  Unable to take it any longer, Sonny slugged Nick, who referred to Sonny using a gay slur.  Realizing that Jennifer thinks he slept with Chloe, Daniel told her that Chloe kissed him but that was all.  Chloe, who was spying on Daniel, was upset to see him locking lips with Jennifer.  When quizzed by Gabi, Will didn't reveal that Nick blackmailed him into giving up the rights to their baby.  Eric urged Nicole, who is attracted to Vargas, to give him a second chance after she learned that he's an ex-con.  Vargas learned that Gabi is Nick's wife.

3/25/13-3/29/13: Nick told Gabi that his four-year prison stay wasn't easy and that he learned to use the "system" to survive.  He also said that he'd been stabbed as a warning when someone thought he was a snitch.  Nick was shocked when he ran into his former prison mate Vargas in the town square.  Will agreed when Sami suggested that Stefano could help them "get rid of" Nick.  Nicole spent time with Vargas and talked to Eric about hiring him as a handyman.  Chloe confronted Jennifer after she and Daniel returned from Smith Island and warned her to break things off with Daniel or he would never see Parker again.  Chloe then told Jennifer that Nancy and Parker are in Brazil.  There was a big blowup when Brady told John and Marlena that he's engaged to Kristen.  Kristen refused when Sy, the thug Kristen hired to beat up Brady months ago, demanded more money.  Kate and Rafe will keep their romance a secret.

4/1/13-4/5/13: To break up with Daniel (as per Chloe's blackmail instructions), Jennifer told him that Jack was the one great love of her life and that she was ending things.  When Daniel didn't believe Jennifer, she publicly broke up with him at the hospital.  Chloe then "comforted" an upset Daniel, who surprised her by kissing her (to cover his hurt).  Vargas warned a terrified Nick that he expected him to go through with the "deal" they made in prison (which had to do with money Nick made for Vargas).  EJ told Will that he and Stefano would take care of Nick after Will revealed that Nick blackmailed him into giving up his rights to his and Gabi's baby.  Will confronted Kate after Sonny saw her with Rafe, and she admitted that she's worried Stefano will learn of their romance.  Eric told Nicole that he may be transferred out of Salem to another church.  Abigail and Chad spied on a gun-toting Cameron, who went to Chicago.
4/8/13-4/12/13: Abigail and Chad learned that Cameron has been going to Chicago because he is moonlighting as a stripper.  Unwittingly tipping off Anne about Cameron's secret job, Abigail and Chad tried to warn Cameron that his medical career could end if Anne catches him.  Anne arrived at the Chicago club.  Daniel finally realized that Chloe was up to no good when he saw Nancy's passport and learned that she and Parker hadn't been in New York City as Chloe said, but were in Brazil.  When Daniel confronted Chloe about blackmailing Jennifer into dumping him, Chloe threatened to make sure that Daniel never sees Parker again.  Since Daniel isn't listed as the father on Parker's birth certificate, he would have no rights to the child.  Sy sent Victor proof that Kristen paid him to mug Brady, who recognized Sy from mug shots that Hope showed him.  Nick and Rafe foiled Kate's attempt to pressure Gabi into signing papers giving Will rights to their baby.
4/15/13-4/19/13: Abby tricked Jennifer into returning to Salem.  Daniel told Jennifer that he knows Chloe blackmailed her into dumping him.  Chloe arrived and told Daniel and Jennifer that she was sorry for the trouble she caused and said that she was leaving town to get her head straight.  Kristen panicked when Stefano said that Sy sent out a photo of her paying off Sy for mugging Brady.  Kristen, Victor, and Brady unwittingly came close to opening the envelope that Sy sent to Victor as they opened envelopes submitted for an art project they were working on.  Kristen refused when Victor offered to "take care" of the Sy situation.  Sami didn't hesitate to give an affirmative answer to EJ's marriage proposal.  Abigail and Chad tried to keep Anne from revealing that Cameron is moonlighting as a stripper.  Believing that John still has feelings for Kristen, Brady warned him to stay away from her.  Stefano doubted that Kristen's plan to ruin John would work.

4/22/13-4/26/13: Nicole quit her church job after Eric caught her and Vargas on the verge of desecrating the rectory.  Nicole later met Vargas, and as things were getting hot and heavy between them, she called out Eric's name.  Nicole got angry when her slip of the tongue didn't bother Vargas, who walked out during her tirade.  Later, Nicole agreed when Eric asked her not to quit, but Nicole can't forget that she has romantic feelings for him, even though he is a priest.  Brady arrived while Kristen was trying to return the baseball jersey that John had given her as a reminder of a little league team she had worked with.  After nearly coming to blows, Brady told John to stay away from Kristen.  Kristen is unaware that Ciara has the photos of her paying off Sy for mugging Brady.  Rafe and Kate made love after he insisted he wants nothing more to do with Sami.  Cameron thanked Abigail with a kiss for saving his medical career.

4/29/13-5/3/13: Vargas gave Nick $30,000 and ordered him to triple the money ASAP.  Sonny and Sami searched Nick's room.  Sonny found a recording of Will admitting he shot EJ, which he then deleted.  Sami stole the $30,000 (unaware it belonged to Vargas) after finding it while searching for another copy of Will's confession.  Sami denied knowing about the money when Nick came looking for it.  Gabi threatened to leave Nick if he doesn't tell her why he's been so rattled lately.  Sami was livid when she learned Stefano, who had agreed to help her and Will, is planning to double-cross them.  When Nicole threatened to tell Eric that Vargas is up to something fishy, he threatened to reveal that she has feelings for a priest (Eric).  Kate broke up with Rafe to protect him from Stefano.  Justin was stunned when EJ asked him to help bring down Stefano.  Ciara gave Kristen the envelope that contained the photo of her paying off Sy.
5/6/13-5/10/13: Rafe confronted Nick after Will finally admitted that Nick forced him to give up rights to his and Gabi's baby because Will is gay.  Someone attacked Rafe after he warned Nick that he planned to tell Gabi why Nick doesn't want Will near her baby.  Brady nearly caught Kristen and John on the verge of locking lips.  Kirsten was surprised when Brady showed her adoption papers that will make it possible for them to raise a child together (she can't have children).  After Kristen verbally bashed Marlena, Eric told her that he wouldn't be attending her and Brady's wedding.  John told Roman that he could have Marlena, after Roman confronted him about how badly he has treated her.  Sami tried to steal police evidence that implicates Will in EJ's shooting from "dirty" cop Bernardi.  Nick attacked Sami, demanding that she return the money she stole from him.  Daniel warned Anne to stay away from Jennifer.
5/13/13-5/17/13: Kate found Rafe in an alley after he was beaten up by a mystery man.  Rafe nearly died on the way to the hospital, and Kayla revealed that he suffered a severe concussion, broken ribs, internal bleeding, and other serious injuries.  Rafe went into cardiac arrest while Gabi was in his hospital room.  Will and Sonny wondered if Nick was responsible for Rafe's beating, since it occurred after Rafe had threatened to tell Gabi who Nick really is.  Kate confronted Stefano, accusing him of attacking Rafe because he learned that she and Rafe were lovers, which was a shock to Stefano as well as Sami, who was in the room.  Hope suspects that EJ beat up Rafe.  After telling a devastated Marlena that he was divorcing her, John told Kristen about his decision.  Jennifer's son JJ returned, and Abby got him to admit that he had been kicked out of school in London and falsely accused of drug dealing.  A thug, Jensen, held Nick and Gabi at gunpoint.
5/20/13-5/24/13: Jensen, who had raped Nick when they were in prison, kidnapped Nick and Gabi.  A suspicious Will and Sonny tailed the three to Smith Island, and Sonny was able to rescue Gabi while Jensen was away.  While trying to rescue Nick, Will was shot by Jensen and later hospitalized.  Sonny took Gabi to a shack on the island and helped her give birth to her daughter, but something was wrong with the baby.  At the hospital, Sami, Sonny, and Lucas watched over a critically injured Will.  On the eve of their wedding, Kristen wasn't sure she could go through with plans to get revenge against John and Marlena and dump Brady as they are about to say their "I do's."  JJ attacked Daniel because he's angry about Daniel's relationship with Jennifer.  Stefano secretly listened as Kate told an unconscious Rafe that she loves him.  It was learned Jensen beat up Rafe after mistaking him for Nick.
5/27/13-5/31/13: After getting from Johnny the photo that depicted Kristen paying Sy to beat up Brady, Marlena showed Brady the photo.  Brady was stunned to realize that Kristen was behind the beating that everyone has assumed was a random incident.  Brady confronted Kristen the night before their wedding, refused to believe her explanation for what she did to him, and walked out on her.  A recovering addict, Brady considered buying drugs from a street dealer.  Kristen blasted Marlena for showing Brady the implicating photo and told Marlena that she and John had slept together the night before she was to marry Brady.  When Marlena confronted John, he said he was leaving Salem.  Brady told Eric that Nicole is in love with him.  A recovered Will got to see his daughter for the first time.  Nick told Gabi about his time in prison and also admitted that he blackmailed Will.  JJ and his pal Rory vandalized Daniel's car.
6/3/13-6/7/13: Overhearing Kate talk about her feelings for Rafe, a jealous Stefano got into Rafe's hospital room, with the help of a crooked cop, and tampered with Rafe's life support.  Kate and Cameron entered Rafe's room and saw that the life support wasn't working (Rafe is in an induced coma).  Cameron reconnected a "loose wife," realizing that someone tempered with the system.  Stefano secretly listened as Kate told a comatose Rafe that he would soon be off life support and on the road to a complete recovery.  Daniel confronted JJ after his car was vandalized again, and Jennifer intervened before the two come to blows.  Things nearly got physical between JJ and Daniel again when JJ's actions put Daniel's son Parker in danger.  Brady threw Kristen out after she said that she fell in love with him and decided not to go ahead with her plan to use him to get revenge against John.  Chad and Cameron vied for Gabi's attention.

6/10/13-6/14/13: After several interruptions, crooked cop Bernardi entered Rafe's hospital room and, on Stefano's orders, attempted to kill Rafe with a knife.  Sami entered the room and shot Bernardi when she realized he was about to kill Rafe.  Roman told Sami that Bernardi had died.  Sami was later arrested and jailed when the police couldn't find the knife in question.  EJ was jealous that Sami put her life in danger to save Rafe.  Kristen started a fight with Nicole, who let Kristen think that Nicole and Brady are together.  Kristen plotted to get revenge against Marlena, who she blames for Brady calling off their wedding.  Marlena told John that their relationship is over after he admitted that he still had feelings for Kristen.  Jennifer was upset when Daniel laid into JJ for not watching Parker, who fell off a chair (he wasn't hurt).  Gabi ended things with Nick and officially named Will as Arianna Grace's father.
6/17/13-6/21/13: Stefano introduced Kristen to Dr. Chyka after learning that she plans to get revenge against Marlena for ruining her plan to marry Brady.  Dr. Chyka gave Kristen a lethal potion.  As part of her plan, Kristen sneaked into Eric's (who is Marlena's son) room while he slept and prepared to inject him with the potion.  Meanwhile, Brady and Nicole worked to keep Eric from leaning that they had gotten physical.  Brady later asked Nicole to go away with him.  JJ visited Cameron at work to steal drug samples from him.  Jennifer was stunned when Daniel told her what JJ had been up to.  Abe agreed to investigate after Sami told him and EJ that someone came from behind and tried to smother her in the holding cell at the police station.  Sonny convinced Justin to defend Sami for killing Bernardi as he tried to slice off Rafe's manhood (on Stefano's orders).  Chad showed EJ a video he has of Sami running after Bernardi in the Town Square.
6/24/13-6/28/13: Jennifer was stunned when the police arrested JJ for his role in a fight over a girl and for having stolen prescription pads in his backpack.  Not wanting to go to jail, JJ played on Jennifer's motherly feelings and got her to use her friendship with Abe to keep him out of the pokey.  Daniel, however, didn't fall for JJ's lies.  Eric passed out after Kristen drugged him with the potion she got from Dr. Chyka.  After Eric regained consciousness, Kristen videotaped him "making love" to her and then ran from his hotel room when he passed out again.  Nicole came close to seeing Kristen leave her own room when she went into Eric's room and found him unconscious.  Later, Kristen was furious when Dr. Chyka said something went awry with the drug and Eric could possible remember everything that happened to him.  Abigail agreed not to tell anyone that Chad has a video of Sami attacking Bernardi.
7/1/13-7/5/13: Before her grand jury hearing, Sami was confronted by Bernardi's widow, Marge, who hopes Sami gets life in prison.  Sami told the jury that she killed Bernardi because he was about to kill Rafe with a straight razor.  Special prosecutor Melinda and Sami's attorney Justin have a history in the courtroom.  Chad refused when Abigail asked him to turn over the video he has of Sami and Bernardi arguing.  JJ accused Daniel of trying to turn Jennifer against him.  Jennifer ordered JJ to apologize to the store owner he stole from and to return to his classes.  Jennifer lost it when she later found a grounded JJ hanging out with a slightly older girl.  Daniel was upset when Jennifer said she was putting their romance on hold for a while.  Kristen worried that Daniel, who is investigating why Eric has been passing out, will learn she drugged Eric.  EJ wants control of DiMera Enterprises.
7/8/13-7/12/13: As Stefano's plane was landing in Salem, EJ and Justin secured enough board members to enable EJ to take control of DiMera Enterprises.  EJ delighted in telling Stefano that he now owned the DiMera mansion and Stefano had to move out.  As Rafe was slowly brought out of his induced coma, he had nightmares in which Sami shot him and Stefano tried to kill him.  Daniel warned everyone that Rafe has a long recovery ahead of him and might have mental and physical problems.  Rafe's monitors went off when he became agitated at the sight of Sami, who entered his room against Daniel's orders.  As a promise to Kayla, Jennifer hired newcomer Theresa as her assistant.  Jennifer warned Theresa to stay away from JJ after learning she's the "older" woman JJ has been flirting with.  Kristen worried that Daniel will learn she drugged Eric, whom she plans to use in her revenge plot against Marlena.
7/15/13-7/19/13: Sonny accidentally sent Adrienne Chad's video of Sami attacking Bernardi in the park instead of a video of Will and Arianna.  Adrienne, to protect Sonny, decided to give the video to the authorities.  Kayla told Abe and Kate that Rafe may remember Sami visiting him (when he was in a coma) and firing a gun, and may think that she shot him.  Kayla warned that Rafe could have long-term memory loss.  Brady overheard Kristen tell Jennifer that she loves Brady, but realizes she's lost him forever.  After talking to John, Brady realized that Kristen didn't go through with her plan to seduce John because of her feelings for Brady.  Nick and Gabi are annulling their marriage.  JJ panicked when Abe learned about his drug deals on the school campus.

7/22/13-7/26/13: After Abe and special prosecutor Melinda agreed to give Sonny full immunity, Adrienne let them watch the video of Sami's fight with Bernardi.  Sami realized someone had found the video when Abe, pressured by Melinda, arrested her for murdering Bernardi during Eric's dedication speech for the new St. Luke's school.  Justin blasted Adrienne for giving the video to Abe.  Theresa realized that Jennifer threatened to fire her in part because of her relationship with JJ.  Theresa was trying to flirt with Daniel at the same time that Abigail was warning Jennifer she could lose Daniel.  Eric assured Marlena that he is fine, but didn't tell her that Daniel is still trying to find out who poisoned him (it was Kristen).  Brady convinced Kristen that they could start their romantic relationship over.  Kate worried that Rafe won't remember their romantic involvement because of his partial memory loss.
7/29/13-8/2/13: Rafe was shocked when Kate said that Sami was protecting him when she shot Bernardi (who was about to kill Rafe).  Bernardi's widow, Marge, entered Rafe's hospital room just as Rafe told Kate that he thought Bernardi was a friend.  Kate inadvertently told Rafe that Sami had been arrested for killing Bernardi.  Chad admitted to Justin that he had filmed the video of Sami and Bernardi's fight.  Stefano lied to Chad, saying that he didn't send Bernardi to kill Rafe.  Disguised as a Susan Banks look-alike, Kristen set out to keep a detective who Daniel had hired from finding out that she had drugged Eric.  Theresa continued to try to get close to Daniel, while Jennifer had second thoughts about continuing to push Daniel away.  Hope urged Father Eric to be cautious after he worried that Nicole might have feelings for him.  JJ worried that Nicole saw him pick up a packet of cocaine he dropped.  Cameron saw something on the CT scan of Chad's head.
8/5/13-8/9/13: Kristen (disguised as Susan) escaped out a second-story restroom window after spilling coffee on the evidence that Mason, who was hired by Daniel, gathered from the hotel room where Eric had been drugged (by Kristen).  Kate and Kayla worked together to help Rafe, who worried that he may never walk again.  The police turned the other way and let Marge visit Sami in her holding cell.  Marge accused Sami of intentionally killing Bernardi (Marge's husband) and taunted Sami, saying that she will never see her children again once she goes to prison for murdering Bernardi.  Justin was able to get a court order to exhume Bernardi's body, but Marge vowed it would never happen.  Nicole admitted to Rafe that she cares about Eric.  Nicole ignored Brady's advice to tell Eric that she has feelings for him after Eric said he knows about her affair with Brady (Kristen told him).  Marlena attacked Kristen after learning that she and Brady have reunited.

8/12/13-8/16/13: While working with Eric on a scholarship program, Kristen worried that he would remember that she (in disguise) was the one who drugged him in the hotel.  Kristen (who didn't think she could have children) told Jennifer that she was unfaithful to Brady and may be pregnant by another man.  Kayla reminded Theresa that if she loses her job with Jennifer, she will go to jail for a drug arrest in Los Angeles.  Theresa later bought cocaine.  Julie was arrested after everyone at a book party (Hope, Julie, Kayla, Nicole, and Adrienne) at the Horton house got high after unwittingly eating doughnuts JJ laced with pot for him and his friends.  Hoping to clear Sami, EJ hired a man to plant money in Bernardi's home to make it appear he had taken bribes, but the plan was foiled.  Rafe was introduced to Jordan, his physical therapist.  Nicole decided to tell Jennifer that JJ is up to no good again.

8/19/13-8/23/13: Theresa flirted with Vargas and got him to escort her to the opening party for Sonny's renovated nightclub.  Vargas got into a fight with a club patron who had propositioned Theresa and ended up being sent back to prison.  Jennifer was evasive when Nicole caught her and Kristen with a pregnancy test kit. After Kristen (it was her kit) reminded Nicole that she can't have children, Nicole assumed Jennifer was pregnant and didn't waste any time telling Daniel.  Daniel confronted Jennifer, who assured him that she isn't pregnant.  JJ fumed when he approached Jennifer's office and saw her and Daniel kissing.  Marlena teamed up with Victor and they plotted to keep Brady and Kristen apart.  Jordan, Rafe's physical therapist, assure him that - together - they will do everything possible to see that he will be able to walk again.  Sami said EJ was wrong when he blamed Rafe for her being charged with Bernardi's murder.
8/26/13-8/30/13: JJ called Jennifer every bad name in the book after seeing her and Daniel kissing and accused her of lying when she said she broke up with Daniel.  After JJ took off, Jennifer accused Daniel of ruining the progress she had made with the boy.  Daniel warned Jennifer that JJ is headed for trouble and later ended his relationship with her.  JJ sold pot in the park and considered getting high.  Believing there were no secrets between them anymore, Brady proposed to Kristen - again - and she accepted.  Eric had nightmares about the night he had been drugged, and Kristen worried he would realize she was the one who drugged him.  Justin is skeptical of Sami's plan to get Melinda to give her a deal at her murder trial if she betrays EJ, who can make a deal to turn Stefano over to Melinda, so Stefano will go to prison.  Chad was there for Abigail after Cameron dumped her.  Will was angry that Nick spent time with Gabi and Arianna.

9/2/13-9/6/13: EJ made Sami realize that the "deal" she hoped prosecutor Melinda Trask would accept to get Sami a lesser sentence could land them both in prison for years.  Sami and EJ decided they needed proof that Bernardi was a dirty cop and that Sami killed him before he could kill Rafe.  JJ panicked when the police arrested him for selling drugs in the park.  JJ was unaware that his pal Cole had set him up.  Daniel consoled Jennifer, who let JJ know how disappointed she has been in him since his return to Salem.  When he found a book of matches from the hotel where it happened, Eric flashed back to the night that Kristen drugged and seduced him.  Eric was stunned when Brady said he asked Kristen to marry him again.  Gabi blackmailed Sonny into keeping quiet when he learned she slept with Nick.  Roman refused to help Marlena check into Kristen's mysterious past.
9/9/13-9/13/13: At the start of Sami's murder trial, the prosecutor, Melinda, questioned Chad, Sonny, Will, and Kate, and all their testimony made Sami look guilty.  Melinda showed Chad's video of Sami arguing with Bernardi.  Rafe's testimony didn't help Sami either.  Justin cross-examined Bernardi's wife, Marge, whose testimony brought out the fact that Bernardi had been a decorated cop who was seemingly killed in cold blood.  Chad was angry when he overheard Cameron urge Abigail not to start a serious relationship with anyone.  Cameron later told Chad that he needs to tell Abigail and others who care about him that he is dying from a brain tumor.  Kristen considered destroying the flash drive containing the sex video of her and Eric.  Eric remembered details about the sexual dreams he's been having.  Kristen caught Marlena searching her room.  JJ threatened to leave town during a confrontation with Jennifer.

9/16/13-9/20/13: JJ was upset with Hope, who tried to make him see the trouble he's in with the law and get him to make amends with Jennifer.  Hope refused when JJ wanted to move in with her and Ciara.  Abigail also failed to get JJ to realize that he's in big trouble because of his multiple drug busts.  Jennifer tried to talk to JJ, but he told her to stay out of his life.  EJ's scheme to make Bernardi look like he was on the take failed, forcing EJ to make a deal with Stefano, who had the razor that Bernardi was supposed to use to castrate Rafe (on Stefano's orders).  Sami was set free when on an "anonymous" tip, Abe revealed that the razor Bernardi was supposed to use on Rafe was found in the home of Bernardi's girlfriend (who split), along with other evidence that cleared Sami of murder.  Abigail and Chad (who hasn't told her he has a brain tumor) made love for the first time.  Kate and Jordan argued over Rafe.  Jennifer fired Theresa.

9/23/13-9/27/13: Stefano reminded EJ that they agreed that EJ would return to Stefano's home and DiMera Enterprises to him for providing evidence that cleared Sami.  Stefano also reminded EJ that he, Sami, and the kids must move into the DiMera home.  Cameron is having a hard time dealing with the fact that Abigail slept with Chad.  Chad, who learned he doesn't have a brain tumor after all, searched the Internet for a "cure" so that people won't learn the truth.  Daniel took Eric to the hotel where he was drugged, and Eric realized that the hotel bed is the same one he sees in his dreams, but he couldn't remember the face of the woman (Kristen) who had been with him.  Jennifer walked in just as Daniel confronted JJ, who broke into Daniel's apartment and then partied with his friends.  Will was stunned when he caught Gabi and Nick and a close moment.  Daniel took Parker to visit his mother, Chloe.

9/30/13-10/4/13: Kayla got upset with JJ, who bombarded her with questions about his deceased father, Jack.  JJ realized that Kayla was keeping something from him about Jack and later questioned Abigail and Adrienne, but got no answers from them.  After finding files and papers in the Horton house, JJ was stunned to learn that Jack had raped Kayla years ago.  After deciding to have the sex video of her and Eric "edited," Kristen was shocked to discover her flash drive didn't contain the original video.  Eric was stunned when Nicole told him that she was quitting her job at the church.  Nicole did not tell Eric that she was leaving because of her feelings for him.  Sami was stunned to learn that, to get the evidence that cleared her of murder, EJ had given Stefano control of DiMera Enterprises and returned the family mansion to him.  Theresa flirted with Daniel in front of Jennifer and insinuated that she had slept with him.

10/7/13-10/11/13: Eric began to suspect the women around him (including Nicole) after Daniel told him that someone had been determined to have sex with Eric and was behind what happened to him at the hotel.  Marlena realized that Kristen arranged her mugging after a thug (hired by Kristen) attacked Marlena to get the missing flash drive.  Nicole rescued Marlena.  Kristen assumed the flash drive containing the sex video of her and Eric had been destroyed.  After a confrontation with Sami and EJ, an armed Marge crashed their engagement party and shots were fired.  Daniel arrived just after JJ got Kayla to admit that Jack had raped her years ago.  Jennifer continued to reject Daniel.  When Rafe wondered why Kate was spending so much time with him, she kept silent about her feelings for him.  Rafe was excited when Jordan said that he would soon be moved to the rehab unit.  Gabi told Nick that they can only be friends.
10/14/13-10/18/13: Marge shot Chad when he jumped in front of EJ, who was her real target.  Chad was rushed to the hospital where Daniel, with help from Cameron, performed the surgery.  Daniel was able to bring Chad back after he flat-lined.  Marge told police that she didn't mean to shoot Chad.  Daniel and Eric were about to look at the flash drive (containing Kristen and Eric's sex video) that Parker found in the park when Daniel got the call about Chad's shooting.  Eric learned that the woman he ran into at the motel where he was drugged was named Fay (Kristen in disguise).  Kate checked into Jordan's past after realizing how close Jordan and Rafe have become.  Kristen and Marlena got into another fight after Kristen taunted Marlena with the news that Eric had agreed to preside at her and Brady's wedding.  Brady told Nicole that their friendship is over.  Jennifer and Abigail arrived at JJ's court hearing for causing damage to the town square.

10/21/13-10/25/13: After overhearing an argument between Brady and Nicole, Eric accused Nicole of being "Fay," the woman who drugged and seduced him in the hotel.  Nicole insisted to Eric she wasn't the woman who drugged him and caused his memory loss.  When JJ flaunted marijuana in front of Jennifer, she warned that if he left the house, she never wanted to see him again.  After leaving the house, JJ met up with the Theresa and they got high on booze and pot.  When they were about to make love, Theresa passed out.  A stunned JJ called Daniel, who realized Theresa had overdosed on drugs.  Stefano offered to make Daniel's troubles (JJ & Theresa) go away for saving Chad's life.  Chad admitted to Abigail that he'd lied about having a brain tumor.  Witnesses heard Kate warn Jordan she would pay if she did anything to hurt Rafe.  Gabi urged Will to accept a fellowship offer he won to attend Berkeley College in California.

10/28/13-11/1/13: To protect Jennifer from more grief, Daniel lied that he had been having an affair with Theresa.  Jennifer was suspicious of Daniel's story.  In Theresa's hospital room, Anne congratulated her on her plan to get revenge on Jennifer by making it look like Theresa and Daniel were involved.  JJ later told Jennifer he was through with drugs and behaving badly and wanted to come home.  Nicole insisted to Eric that she wasn't the woman who drugged and raped him.  Eric learned Nicole was acting strangely because she has feelings for him.  Eric was angry that Brady kept mum about Nicole's feelings for him.  Kristen was stunned to learn Eric thinks Nicole drugged him.  Jordan learned Kate is checking into her past.  Marlena found the flash drive containing Kristen and Eric's sex video.  Will left for California and Chad left for Boston.
11/4/13-11/8/13: Eric refused to believe Nicole, who insisted that she wasn't the woman who drugged and raped him at the hotel.  Marlena gave Victor the flash drive.  Victor was able to open it, and he then returned it to Marlena without telling her that it contained a sex video of Eric (her son) and Kristen.  Kristen was stunned to learn that EJ knows she drugged and raped Eric and that he plans to tell Sami.  Victor failed to talk Brady out of marrying Kristen.  As Brady and Kristen's wedding began, everyone, especially Kristen, was stunned when the sex video of her and Eric appeared on a screen at the church.  JJ apologized for breaking up Daniel and Jennifer after realizing that Daniel didn't tell anyone that JJ was with Theresa when she overdosed.  JJ visited a hospitalized Theresa to see if she remembered the night she overdosed.  Kate learned that Jordan seemingly has no past history.  Cameron told Abigail that he's leaving town.
11/11/13-11/15/13: Brady didn't believe Kristen's claim that Eric seduced her.  Brady later confronted Eric, and the brothers got into a fight after Brady insinuated that Eric wasn't Kristen's "victim."  Wanting revenge against Marlena for showing the sex video, Kristen held her at gunpoint, but ended up backing off.  Nicole confronted Kristen over what she did to Eric, and for letting him think that Nicole was the one who drugged and raped him.  Nicole rejected Eric's apology for accusing her of the heinous act against him.  Nicole and Kristen's violent argument over Kristen's crime led to a car accident.  Sami kicked EJ out of the bedroom after finding out that he knew what Kristen had done to Eric.  Jordan told a mystery caller that she's tired of running and is staying in Salem.  Gabi told Will and Sonny that modeling agent Casey McGraw offered her a contract, but didn't mention it would eventually mean moving to New York City.
11/18/13-11/22/13: Theresa's parents, Shane and Kimberly, arrived in Salem, and along with Kayla, Hope, and Roman, urged Theresa to check into rehab because of her drug addiction and her near-death from an overdose.  Shane and Kimberly met with Jennifer concerning the fact that Theresa could go back to jail in Los Angeles if she doesn't have a job (she's on probation and has been fired as Jennifer's assistant).  Gabi had Justin read over the modeling contract she received, and he said it was legit, but Justin worried about Gabi moving to New York City for job and taking Arianna away from Will and Sonny.  Eric was devastated when, because of Kristen's sex video, he was suspended and had to remove his priest's collar.  Nicole, who hasn't forgiven Eric for accusing her of drugging and raping him, spent time with Daniel and they shared a kiss.  Roman and Hope searched for Kristen, who has disappeared.
11/25/13-11/29/13: Sonny was upset when Will said he was moving to New York City with Gabi (who's going there for a modeling job).  As Gabi walked through the park, Nick accosted her and then admitted that he had arranged her modeling job so they could be a family with Arianna.  Nick got physical with Gabi when she told him that she wasn't going to take the job because she didn't want to separate Arianna and Will.  Gabi, who was shoved to the ground, knocked Nick out with a rock when he wouldn't stop kissing her.  EJ and Brady got into a fistfight when Brady accused EJ of knowing Kristen's whereabouts.  Brady later saw a woman who looked like Kristen at a crack house.  Jennifer was impressed when JJ arranged a Thanksgiving party for the younger kids.  Daniel is facing a disciplinary hearing for his (supposed) part in Theresa's drug overdose (he covered for JJ).
12/2/13-12/6/13: Sami and Kate came to Gabi's rescue after she hit Nick with a rock, rendering him unconscious.  As Sami and Kate threw Nick's "body" into the lake, he came to and grabbed Sami's arm.  Kate and Gabi pulled Sami away from Nick, who suddenly went underwater and didn't reappear.  Sami and Kate weighted Nick's backpack and threw it in the lake.  Kate told Sami that what Gabi did was self-defense, as Nick was trying to rape her.  The three women agreed to keep quiet about what happened.  Anne was angry with Theresa, who testified at Daniel's disciplinary hearing that she didn't remember anything that happened because of her drug overdose.  As a result, no charges were filed against Daniel.  After receiving a video from Kristen, Brady had a breakdown and began taking drugs again.  Rafe kissed Jordan after he was able to walk a short distance on his own.  Nicole wants to help Eric prove he was a victim in the sex video.
12/9/13-12/13/13: JJ admitted to Jennifer that he was responsible for breaking up her and Daniel and added that Daniel had nothing to do with Theresa before Jennifer and Daniel broke up.  While he was confessing,  JJ told Theresa that he, not Daniel, was with her before she overdosed, and that Daniel came to help after she overdosed.  Theresa later blackmailed JJ into getting drugs for her.  Daniel told Eric that they have to find the person who gave Kristen the drug she used in the rape.  Nicole refused when Eric asked her to forgive him for accusing her of raping him.  Sami and Kate worried about Gabi, who is freaking out about Nick's death.  Sonny overheard Sami, Kate, and Gabi talking about Nick's death.  Sonny overheard Sami, Kate, and Gabi talking about Nick's death.  Theo gave Ciara the diamond earring he found in the park (at the site of Nick's death).  Looking into a box containing multiple IDs, Jordan told herself she wasn't going to run anymore.  Rafe told Jordan that he wants to be with her.
12/16/13-12/20/13: Sonny kept mum that when Will wanted to know what he heard Sami, Gabi, and Kate talking about while he was hiding in the closet at their apartment.  Gabi was a wreck after she learned that Sonny knew she, Kate, and Sami had disposed of Nick's body after Gabi killed him in self-defense.  Sami got in an argument with Ciara, who has the diamond earring that was lost at the site of Nick's death.  Theresa refused to let JJ off the hook when he tried to refuse to buy her drugs because he would jeopardize his probation.  Nicole told Eric that she has forgiven him, adding that she no longer as feelings for him and is now with Daniel.  Jennifer came close to learning that Brady is back on drugs.  Hope was upset when Bo (who is working undercover) said that he wouldn't be coming back to Salem.  Daniel heard Jennifer making plans for a date with another man.  Sparks flew when Kate and Jordan both arrived at Rafe's new home.

12/23/13-12/27/13: The Horton family celebrated Christmas and Gabi was pleased when, in the Horton tradition, an ornament with Arianna’s name was hung on the tree.  Gabi got nervous when Julie kept asking abut Nick, who presumably was starting a new life in New York City.  Hope caught Sami trying to get Ciara to give her the diamond earring she lost at the park after Sami, Gabi, and Kate shoved Nick’s body into the lake.  After hearing Sami lie to Hope that she hadn’t been to the park where Theo found her earring, EJ snooped around the site where Nick went into the lake and found the name tag from Nick’s backpack.  EJ later showed the name tag to Sami.  Kate, Sonny, and Gabi panicked when the Santa they took Arianna to see turned out to be the birdwatcher they ran into after Nick’s death.  Daniel let Eric he and Nicole are together.  Daniel is looking for the person (Dr. Chyka) who made the poison Kristen used on Eric.

12/30/13-1/3/14: Eric and Nicole were shocked when Daniel accused Brady of using drugs again and realized he was high when he acted erratically while giving an interview to Nicole.  Brady agreed to get help after he started a fight with Daniel.  Gabi, Kate, Sami, Sonny, and EJ (he knows about Nick’s death) worried that Will wouldn’t be able to keep quiet after he heard Gabi say that she killed Nick.  Gabi was in shock after she received a text message from a deceased Nick.  Gabi is unaware that Kate, who has Nick’s phone, sent the text to make it appear as if Nick is starting a new life in New York City.  After breaking up Jennifer’s date with a drug salesman Liam, JJ put on a bad-boy act to scare Liam away from her.  At the river, EJ and Sami found and destroyed more evidence of Nick’s death.  Nicole and Eric both fought their romantic feelings for each other.

1/6/14-1/10/14: Kate convinced Lucas to help her get information on Jordan’s past after she convinced Jordan’s friend Sheryl to come to Salem.  Lucas was reluctant to use Sheryl to get something incriminating about Jordan’s past.  At Gabi’s request, EJ did some fast talking in an attempt to keep Abigail from telling Hope that she had received a text from Nick.  EJ kissed Abigail after she wrongly assumed he slept with Gabi.  Hope told Brady that the police are still looking for a missing Kristen.  Brady realized that he isn’t related to the Bradys or the DiMeras after Hope told him that John (his father) is in Europe researching his family history but hasn’t come up with anything.  Brady met Theresa at an AA meeting.  Eric told Marlena that Nicole is still trying to help clear his name and that he was waiting for results on the latest tests that Daniel did on him to find the drug that Kristen used.

1/13/14-1/17/14: Dr. Chyka broke into Daniel’s office, used a USB drive to take information off his computer, and stole Eric’s medical files.  Chyka also broke into Daniel’s apartment and as tampering with his laptop when Nicole, who had been in the shower, caught him.  Dr. Chyka took Nicole hostage along with Eric, who had come to see Daniel.  While tied up in the basement, Nicole and Eric admitted their romantic feelings for each other.  When Sami arrived home unannounced, she thought EJ was helping Abigail deal with how badly Chad had treated her.  (Sami is unaware that EJ and Abigail had slept together.)  Upset that no one was worried about a missing Nick, Julie asked about him but got no help.  Julie then quizzed Gabi, who is secretly wracked with guilt over killing him.  Theresa told JJ that if he betrays her, she will send him to prison and ruin Daniel’s medical career.

1/20/14-1/24/14: After deciding not to take a flight to Las Vegas, Brady realized that Dr. Chyka was the person he had talked to at the airport.  Tied up in the basement of Daniel's apartment, Nicole accepted Eric's apology for thinking that she was the woman who drugged and raped him.  Daniel found Eric and Nicole after teaming with Marlena and Roman.  After their rescue, Eric realized that he has to decide between being a priest and being with Nicole.  At the Horton cabin, EJ and Abigail decided that sleeping together had been a mistake, but he hoped they would remain friends.  At home, Sami told EJ that she was mostly to blame for their problems and that she'd panicked when she learned that Hope, who is helping Julie search for Nick, wants to talk to her about Nick's disappearance.  Hope met Aiden, who said that Ciara is bullying his son, Chase.

1/27/14-1/31/14: At Arianna's christening, Kate, Sami, and Gabi (who fainted) were stunned to see a very-much-alive Nick.  When Julie noticed the scar on Nick's forehead, he said he didn't remember what happened, but guessed that he had fallen.  Gabi squirmed when Nick told everyone that he'd treated her badly before he went to New York City and, in a subtle treat, said that he would make up for what he did (trying to rape her).  Julie was happy when Nick said that he's staying in Salem.  Sami told Kate and Gabi that at least they know they didn't kill Nick.  Rafe, who has been spending personal time with Jordan, is curious about her past and suspects that she's hiding something, but decided not to check into it behind her back.  Abigail apologized for believing that EJ killed Nick.  Daniel and Nicole are still trying to clear Eric's name.  Lucas and Sheryl spent time together.

2/3/14-2/7/14: Daniel and Nicole tracked Dr. Chyka to his cabin refuge and demanded that he reveal everything he knows about Eric’s drugging and rape.  One of Stefano’s thugs, Ricardo, burst into the cabin before Dr. Chyka could say anything.  A fight broke out and a gun became involved.  Daniel and Nicole were separated once the fight moved outside the cabin.  EJ scrambled to keep Sami, who returned home early from a business meeting, from catching him and Abigail in the shower.  Brady, who moved out of the mansion, sneaked into Daniel’s vacant apartment so he could drink without anyone seeing him.  Theresa fumed when JJ set her up and then made a cellphone video of her using a fake ID to cash a check made out to Abigail.  Kate told Gabi and EJ that Nick knows everything they did to him.  Hope and Aiden had another run-in.

2/10/14-2/14/14: Kate, who broke into Jordan's apartment, hid when Jordan returned.  On her cellphone, Kate, hiding under the bed, called Lucas, who got Jordan to rush to Rafe's side after purposely tripping him.  Kate later told Lucas she had photos of ID cards that Jordan had in several different names.  Kate ordered her gumshoe to look into Jordan's different aliases. Jordan and Rafe made love for the first time.  Using Ricardo's car, Daniel took an unconscious Ricardo away from the cabin.  Dr. Chyka hit Nicole over the head and escaped in Daniel's car.  In a safe at the cabin, Nicole found proof that Kristen had drugged Eric, along with other evidence that will clear Eric.  Sami and Adrienne unwittingly kept putting EJ and Abigail together.  Abigail didn't take EJ's advice to move on with her life.  JJ was sure that his sentencing hearing would go well, until Theresa entered the courtroom.

2/17/14-2/21/14: Aiden, the lawyer who got probation for JJ, accused Hope of supporting Ciara's assessment of his and his son's nasty nature.  Theresa blackmailed Daniel, who gave her a five-figure check to not tell anyone that JJ was with her during her overdose (which would land him in prison) and for not revealing that Daniel lied to protect JJ, risking his medical license.  JJ walked in as Daniel handed Theresa the check.  Nick reminded EJ that he knows EJ took care of any evidence of Kate and Sami's part in Nick's attempted murder.  Nick told Gabi that he doesn't blame Kate and Sami for trying to kill him, adding that he recalled Gabi had tried to save him before they shoved him into the river.  Daniel defended Nicole when Marlena was suspicious of her reasons for helping Eric.  Abigail refused to let go of EJ.  EJ told Sami that he would never hurt her again.

2/24/14-2/28/14: When Marlena quizzed Nicole about the events at Chyka's cabin, Nicole recalled finding the evidence locked in a safe there.  Sami overheard Marlena and Nicole talking about Eric's decision to leave the priesthood and blamed Nicole for his decision.  Eric told Sami that it was his decision to leave the cloth.  Jordan was stunned when Ben, the man from her past she has been emailing and talking to on the phone, showed up in Salem.  Jordan wants Ben to leave, but Ben wants to rekindle their relationship.  Jennifer told Daniel that JJ told her that he had been with Theresa when she overdosed and that Daniel had lied to keep JJ from going to prison.  Daniel warned Jennifer that Theresa could still ruin him and send JJ to prison.  Adrienne wasn't thrilled when Sonny told her that he and Will are engaged.  EJ told Abigail that it's over, and he and Sami later set a wedding date.

3/3/14-3/7/14: John returned to Salem and gave Hope a letter from Bo, who revealed that he was working undercover and could have no contact with her, or their daughter, Ciara, who already feels abandoned by him. Marlena wasn't thrilled to see John, who had walked out on her when he last left Salem. John also didn't receive a warm welcome from Brady. Nick reminded Sonny that he and Will had helped Sami, Kate and Gabi cover up Nick's supposed murder, and that they all could end up in prison if Nick blabbed. Reminding Sami of her part in the cover-up, Nick blackmailed her by suggesting that she give Gabi a modeling job. Daniel and Jennifer reconciled and then celebrated with a vigorous romp between the sheets. Jennifer broke the news to Liam, whom she has been dating, that she and Daniel are back together. JJ met newcomer Paige in the town square. Kate continued checking out Jordan's past.

3/10/14-3/14/14: Abigail was stunned when Sami asked if she was pregnant.  Abigail told Sami that the relationship with her baby’s father (EJ) ended before it began and she was taking care of things on her own.  At first, Abigail objected when EJ demanded that she take a pregnancy test, but she later agreed to his request.  Nicole didn’t like Eric’s view that they should wait to make love until they know each other better and are married.  Nicole recalled destroying the papers that she’d found in Dr. Chyka’s safe.  JJ’s attempt to get Paige’s attention failed.  Jon realized that Marlena wasn’t going to help him try to make Brady see the light regarding his drinking and drug use.  Feeling betrayed by John, Marlena turned to Roman for comfort and support.  Jennifer was upset when someone with a vendetta against her began putting disturbing messages on her cellphone and hospital computer.

3/17/14-3/21/14: Maggie gave Brady and Theresa a lecture when she caught them furiously locking lips at the Kiriakis mansion.  Jennifer later warned Brady that Theresa is bad news, but he didn't agree with her.  When Daniel found the shredded and reassembled evidence document, Nicole told him that she thinks Stefano sent it to her.  Daniel pointed out that the document doesn't prove that Chyka, Kristen, and Stefano conspired to drug Eric.  Later, Nicole started to burn the document.  Nicole expressed amorous feelings toward Eric.  EJ panicked when Sami said that she's helping Abigail cope with her possible pregnancy and offered to go with her for the pregnancy test.  EJ and Abigail later learned the test showed she is pregnant.  Liam was secretly watching when Jennifer shredded copies of a faked photo depicting her in a cozy scene with two men that had been posted on the hospital computers.

3/24/14-3/28/14: Theresa panicked when she found out about Liam’s evil plan to get even with Jennifer, who dumped him after a couple of dates and returned to Daniel.  Theresa tried to warn Daniel that Liam has it in for him and Jennifer, but Daniel ignored her.  When Nicole tried to seduce Eric, he made it clear that he didn’t want to have sex until they are married, which won’t happen until he gets his priestly vocation figured out.  Nicole was unaware that she was being watched when she shredded the evidence proving that Eric had been drugged.  EJ was happy while Abigail was upset that she isn’t pregnant.  Theresa realized that John offered her a job in his European office in order to wrest her from Brady.  Nick quizzed Sheryl, who told him that she and Jordan knew each other when they lived in Birmingham.  Jordan told Ben not to worry when he said that he thinks a woman (Kate) is out to get her.

3/31/14-4/4/14: T threw a bachelor party for Will and Sonny the day before their wedding got underway.  EJ was able to get the license so that Marlena, whose license didn't arrive, was able to officiate at the wedding.  Sami walked Will down the aisle, and Adrienne walked Sonny down the aisle.  With baby Arianna present, the happy couple said their vows, which they wrote themselves.  Theresa was pleased that everyone got upset when she attended the wedding as Brady's date.  At a rest stop, Nicole was about to destroy the shredded papers that proved Eric was raped, when Liam pulled up.  Nicole burned the papers after Liam, who talked about seeing her on TV, left.  Aiden sarcastically thanked Hope for discouraging Kayla's interest in him.  Nicole was stunned when Eric said that he couldn't marry her because of her checkered and unsavory past.

4/7/14-4/11/14: After hearing Jennifer, Daniel, JJ and Paige talking about Daniel's past, Liam laced Daniel's protein drink with a powerful painkiller, making him appear to be under the influence. Liam then spread a rumor around the hospital that Daniel's using drugs. As a result, Kayla had to suspend Daniel from his hospital duties while his actions are under investigation. Stefano put a damper on EJ's happy talk about his and Sami's upcoming wedding by revealing that he knows EJ's affair with Abigail and her pregnancy scare (via Dr. Garcia). Eric cautioned Brady that he shouldn't continue a relationship with Theresa because she and Brady both have a history of drug use, but Brady said that he doesn't intend to dump her. Hope refused when Father Louis asked her to work with Aiden to raise funds for St. Luke's Academy. Kate was happy that Sheryl broke up with Lucas.
 
4/14/14-4/18/14: After Nicole suggested that Liam could have drugged Daniel, he blackmailed her into keeping quiet by showing her a cellphone photo of Dr. Chyka's letter proving that Eric had been drugged. Daniel told Maggie that he didn't want to accuse Theresa or Anne of doping him without proof. Anne gloated as Daniel signed his suspension papers. Gabi insisted that Sami was wrong for suspecting that Nick blackmailed her into getting back together with him. Rafe went after Nick when Sami said that she interrupted Gabi and Nick as they were about to get down and dirty. After Will and Sami argued about Gabi and Nick, Gabi took Arianna and told Will that they were moving out. Rafe punched Nick and warned him to stay away from Gabi. EJ warned Sonny that Nick won't stop until he has Gabi and Arianna. Someone sent Sami a photo of EJ and Abigail together.

4/21/14-4/25/14: EJ panicked when an envelope that someone slipped under the door of the DiMera mansion turned out to contain a sexy photo of him and Abigail. After imagining what would happen if Sami ever saw the photo, EJ went to see Abigail and made it clear that their affair has to remain a secret. Abigail told EJ that she never wanted him to contact her again. After helping Sami pick out a wedding dress, Marlena admitted to Jennifer (Abigail's mother) that she's worried about Sami. Gabi fretted about Will trying to come up with a shared custody agreement for Arianna. After making Gabi believe that Sami is going to take Arianna away from her, Nick took her to meet Aiden to draw up papers giving them custody of Arianna. Nicole asked for Rafe's help, when, after talking to Liam's ex-wife Debra, she realized that Liam is a sociopath. Liam followed Jennifer to the Horton cabin on Smith Island. Daniel accused Theresa of planting drugs in his apartment.

4/28/14-5/2/14: Will confronted Gabi after reading the custody papers that Aiden drew up for her and realizing his visitation with Arianna would be cut in half. Gabi insisted to Will that Nick had nothing to do with the custody papers. EJ assured Will that he would be looking out for his interests as far as custody of Arianna is concerned. On Smith Island, Jennifer was stunned when Liam admitted to planting drugs in Daniel's apartment and creating the smear campaign against her. Jennifer and Nicole knocked Liam out and ran, but he regained consciousness and went after them. Nicole got the gun as Daniel fought with Liam, and fired at Liam as he and Daniel rolled on the ground. EJ confronted Percy after finding evidence that he sent the photo of EJ and Abigail. Ben told Abigail that he doesn't like how Nick treats her. Jordan told Rafe that Ben warned him not to hurt her when she admitted to Ben her love for Rafe.

5/5/14-5/9/14: Everyone in Salem was stunned when, just after Liam's death via impalement, Nick stumbled into Horton Square and died from a gunshot wound. The suspect list in Nick's death is long, including EJ, who learned that Percy, on Nick's orders, took the sexy photo of EJ and Abigail; Will, who punched Nick after accusing him of trying to keep him away from Arianna; Abigail, who slapped him during an argument; and Sonny, who wanted Nick out of Will and Gabi's lives. Jordan was stunned when Kate admitted to breaking into her apartment and seeing Jordan's comprehensive fake ID collection. After Kate said that she wouldn't let Jordan hurt Rafe, Jordan decided to leave town. Daniel blasted Nicole after learning that she had the document proving Eric was drugged when Kristen seduced him. Eric proposed to Nicole, who accepted.

5/12/14-5/16/14: Julie rushed to Nick, who stumbled into Horton Square and collapsed. Jordan tended to Nick, who had at least two bullet wounds, until he was taken to the hospital. After Nick died, Julie told Hope that Nick had pointed to his killer, but passed out before naming the person. Julie told Hope those in the line of Nick's finger were Sonny, Will, Lucas, Jordan, Ben, EJ, Sami, Kate, Gabi and Rafe. Sami reminded EJ that they could be accused of hiring a hit man to kill Nick. EJ had someone look for and destroy the photos that Nick had which depicted Gabi, Sami and Kate throwing Nick's body into the river after Gabi thought she'd killed him. Will told Sonny to return Victor's gun to the DiMera mansion. Kate worried about her missing gun. Lucas destroyed text messages from Nick. Daniel ordered Nicole to tell Eric that she shredded the file that could clear his name. Rafe was glad that Jordan decided not to leave town.
 
5/19/14-5/23/14: Eric and Nicole made love for the first time, after he told her how much she means to him. Marlena was not happy when Eric said that he and Nicole are engaged. Sami didn't hesitate to let Eric know that she thinks his engagement to Nicole is a big mistake. Nicole still hasn't told Eric about the papers she destroyed. Abigail couldn't believe her ears when EJ told her that he'd hired a hit man to "take care" of Nick, and then warned her not to tell anyone. Later, the hit man met with EJ, who threatened him with a gun. EJ later told Sami that he'd gotten back every penny he paid the hit man because Nick was killed by someone else. Lucas insisted that he didn't kill Nick after Hope grilled him about deleted text messages between him and Nick just before Nick was murdered. Kate didn't quite believe Lucas, who said he hadn't taken her missing gun and that he didn't kill Nick.

5/26/14-5/30/14: Trying to keep Eric and Daniel apart, Nicole falsely attested that Daniel said he loves her and Jennifer. Eric didn't agree when Nicole suggested that they should elope and start a new life somewhere else. Nicole attempted to stop Daniel from talking to Eric, but, after talking to JJ, she jumped to the conclusion that Daniel had told Eric that she'd destroyed the information that could have cleared him of any wrongdoing when Kristen drugged him. Lucas, who found Nick after he was shot, was relieved to learn that Nick would have died even if he had called for help. Hope was stunned when Will confessed to killing Nick (because he knew Sonny had a gun). Stefano also suspected Sonny could have killed Nick. Later, another suspect was found. Brady, who is clean, was tempted to use drugs after arguing with John. A jealous Marlena learned that Roman had a date with Giselle.

6/2/14-6/6/14: EJ represented Gabi when she confessed to Hope and District Attorney Jenkins that she killed Nick. Gabi revealed that Nick had threatened that he’d turn her in for hiring Andrew, who had kidnapped Melanie, and then take Arianna away from her. When Nick demanded that Gabi sign a new custody agreement for Arianna that would take the child away from Will (her father), she took Victor’s gun, which Sonny and Will had hidden in a closet, went to the park and shot Nick. EJ reminded D.A. Jenkins to write up a plea bargain for Gabi. Sonny and Will promised Arianna that they would always be there for her (while Gabi is in prison). Nicole was stunned when Eric confronted her about the destroyed evidence that would have cleared his name and allowed him to continue in the priesthood. Brady and John had a physical altercation when John tried to get Brady to dump Theresa.
 
6/9/14-6/13/14: Eric called off his and Nicole's engagement, but she refused to take off the ring. Nicole blasted Jennifer and Daniel for telling Eric about the evidence papers that she'd shredded. Later, Daniel gave the shredded papers to Eric, who said that Nicole still hadn't told him the truth. Gabi admitted to Abigail that she was responsible for Melanie's kidnapping and ultimate departure. After her guilty plea, Gabi said her goodbyes to Will, Sonny, Kate, Rafe and Arianna before she was taken to prison. Bev paid Cole to plant marijuana in Paige's purse, but his attempt failed. Ben panicked when Paige said that she remembered meeting him at a diner in Florida, and said that the man she met, Kevin, was probably a Ben look-alike. Sami and EJ warned Kate against getting Stefano to prevent their wedding. Rafe believes that he's spent too much time with Jordan and had ignored Gabi.

6/16/14-6/20/14: Eve Donovan, a singer, returned to Salem and took a shine to Daniel after he agreed to perform surgery to remove her lymph nodes. For professional reasons, Daniel didn’t take Eve up on her offer of a date. Daniel is unaware of Eve’s less-than-sterling reputation and of the past problems between her and Jennifer. Meanwhile, Jennifer wants to patch things up with Daniel. Rafe and Kate slept together after she assured him that his failure to spend time with Gabi is not the reason that Gabi is in prison. Abigail was furious with EJ, who forced her to agree to plan his and Sami’s wedding so that Sami wouldn’t get wind that Abigail and EJ had slept together. John realized that Brady is using drugs again, but Brady told John to butt out of his life since he was never around when Brady was younger and needed him. Kate was suspicious when she saw Jordan and Ben talking together.
 
6/23/14-6/27/14: Abigail and EJ are unaware that Sami has found out about their affair and teamed up with Kate to make them pay. While Abigail was making plans for Sami and EJ's wedding, T warned Abigail that Sami is more of a frenemy than a friend. While discussing the wedding plans, Abigail didn’t notice that Sami was doing a poor job of disguising her ulterior motives. As EJ told Sami that Abe had agreed to officiate their wedding, she was thinking about the surprise that she’s planning for him and Abigail. Jennifer was stunned to run into Eve, who she worries still holds a grudge against her. Eve, who is Paige’s mother, told Paige to be careful after she learned that Jack Deveraux is JJ’s father. Kate left for the Ozarks after her gumshoe gave her information on a man from Jordan’s past. Rafe and Jordan made love after patching up their relationship.
 
6/30/14-7/4/14: Sami and EJ were married, but she is still plotting to “get” him for sleeping with Abigail. Kate met with Jordan (Tammy Sue) and Ben’s (Ollie) father, Clyde, who told her that they ran away, but asked Kate not to tell the pair about their discussion. Kate was stunned when Clyde later phoned to say that he was coming to Salem. Jordan nixed Ben’s suggestion that Rafe help them regarding the man they are running from. Aiden told Jennifer that he would check into whether Eve could claim a portion of the earnings from a book that Jack wrote, the proceeds of which were to benefit veterans organizations. Theresa told Eve that Paige’s boyfriend JJ is a druggie who likes to seduce girls. Paige told JJ that Eve had been married to Jack. Eric thanked Nicole for telling Bishop White about the evidence that could clear his name, which she’d shredded.

7/7/14-7/11/14: As part of Sami's plot against EJ, she had someone give the police a tip that EJ was guilty of tax evasion. EJ was arrested at the wedding. Sami feigned surprise when a jailed EJ gave her his proxy to vote on the DiMera Enterprises board. Sami also got into the DiMera mansion's safe and destroyed all information that EJ could use against her in the future, including proof that she helped Gabi get rid of Nick's "body." Clyde tailed Jordan and Rafe after getting Jordan's address from Kate, and later broke into Jordan's apartment. Clyde agreed not to tell Ben or Jordan that Kate gave up their whereabouts. Brady brushed off Maggie, who confronted him about not going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. After again warning John to butt out of his life, Brady and Theresa went to Las Vegas to party hard. After dumping Daniel as her surgeon, Eve asked him out on a date.
 
7/14/14-7/18/14: A drunken Brady passed out after he and Theresa returned from Las Vegas. Theresa called John after Brady awoke and passed out several times. When Theresa told John that she and Brady had gotten married in Vegas, he said Brady would dump her. During an argument, Theresa hit John over the head with a fireplace poker, knocking him out. Later, Theresa let everyone think that a drunken Brady caused John's injuries, and Brady blamed himself when John later went into a coma. Jennifer comforted Abigail after Sami confronted her over her affair with EJ. Sami later told Eric she'd gotten even with EJ, who'd given her his proxy, by becoming co-CEO of DiMera Enterprises, leaving John and Stefano with nothing. Jordan and Ben were stunned to see their father, Clyde. Ben recalled Clyde beating him as well as his mother. Aiden and Hope tried to ignore their attraction toward each other.
 
7/21/14-7/25/14: Jennifer and Eve argued over Jennifer's objection to selling to the highest bidder the movie rights to Jack's book. Jennifer doesn't think Eve deserves any of the profits from the book. Jennifer was further upset when she saw Eve and Daniel, whom she still has feelings for, together at Brady Pub. In John's hospital room, Daniel told Brady that John is in stable but critical condition, although he's still in a coma. After being questioned by Abe and Hope, Theresa worried that they would find out she was the one who hit John over the head with the poker. Theresa was relieved to hear Daniel tell Brady, who pled guilty to hitting John (in self-defense according to Theresa), that John may never regain consciousness. EJ's attempts to make amends with Sami failed. Hope was stunned when Ciara asked Aiden and Chase to vacation with them. Abigail is moving on with Ben.
 
7/28/14-8/1/14: Kristen's thug knocked Daniel out when he entered his hotel room in St. Louis, where he was to attend a medical conference. Daniel was able to get the upper hand after Kristen took him hostage for refusing to help her get Brady to love her again. Nicole went to Rome with Eric after he learned that he could possibly return to the priesthood if she testified on his behalf at the Vatican. Now that she is CEO of DiMera Enterprises, Sami used her position on the hospital board to force Kayla to fire Abigail from her hospital job by threatening to stop a DiMera Enterprises donation to fund a children's wing. Abe told Brady that he would not be charged with attempted murder because Theresa told police that he hit John in self-defense. Clyde is blackmailing Jordan.
 
8/4/14-8/8/14: Daniel, who is holding Kristen hostage in a St. Louis hotel closet, scoffed when she said she can help Brady and that if the video of her and Eric having sex had never come to light, Brady wouldn't be back on booze and drugs and married to Theresa. Daniel assured Kristen that she will pay for raping Eric and her numerous other sins. Theresa worried that someone will discover that she caused John's coma and she'll end up in prison. Theresa panicked when a suspicious Marlena quizzed her about how John came to be injured. John took a turn for the worse. Angry that Jordan defended Abigail, Sami told Jordan that Rafe had slept with Kate. Jordan walked out on Rafe after he admitted to a one-night stand with Kate. Kate thanked Sami in a text for telling Jordan about her and Rafe. Eric told Nicole that he hated her after their interview with the cardinal in Rome.

8/11/14-8/15/14: Sami confronted Will after reading the story he wrote and published about her, which instead of being a puff piece, was an expose about EJ and Abby's affair, Sami and Kate taking over DiMera Enterprises and other bad things that Sami has recently done. Worried that she might be tempted to forgive EJ, Sami took out a restraining order to keep him away from her. Kristen tried and failed to escape as Daniel was bringing her back to Salem in the back of a delivery truck. Brady, Nicole and Eric were stunned to see Kristen, whom Daniel took right to the Salem police. Marlena talked to a comatose John, whose eyes moved after she left his hospital room. Sami blamed Nicole for Eric not being allowed to be a priest. Hope was upset when she learned that Aiden took Jennifer on a date. Theresa and Brady signed the papers to annul their marriage.
 
8/18/14-8/22/14: Sami and Kate were both furious with Will over the expose that he wrote about them. Kate and Sami worried that the story is going to ruin everything they have accomplished at DiMera Enterprises. EJ caught Sami and Kate with their heads together, and Kate later told Sami that EJ's threat of having a hit put out on them if he is harmed by the expose just might be credible. Will, who hadn't used Abigail's name in the expose, was upset that someone had added it before the article was published. EJ, who was jogging, saw Abigail and Ben kissing in the park, and told her that he just wants her to be happy. EJ told Kate that he wasn't testifying at Kristen's grand jury hearing, but Eric did testify about what Kristen did to him. Everyone was stunned when Kristen was acquitted. Jennifer told Hope that she and Aiden are just friends. Aiden and Hope tried to talk about their feelings for each other.
 
8/25/14-8/29/14: When Brady ran into Kristen in the park, she told him that she was out on bail and wearing an ankle monitor. Brady told Kristen that she caused him to hate her, himself and his father, John, and caused John to go into a probably permanent coma. At the hospital, Daniel was upset to see Kristen in John's room. Kristen went through John's medical records. Abigail slapped Sami after she learned that Sami, not Will, gave the magazine editor her name for Will's expose. After learning that Victor owns TruVista magazine, Will blasted Sonny, who had arranged for Victor to give Will his writing assignment. Thoughts of EJ ended Abigail's romantic moment with Ben. When Sami asked EJ to help restore the reputation of DiMera Enterprises, he reminded her that she and Kate, Will's expose and her outing his affair with Abigail are the causes of the company's image problem.

9/1/14-9/5/14: Hope, who has been trying to avoid admitting to herself that she has feelings for Aiden, was stunned when he suddenly pulled her to him and kissed her while they were enjoying an evening walk. At Club TBD, Ben apologized to Abigail by surprising her with a kiss when they were trapped in the storage room at the club. Abigail later tried to work things out with Ben by explaining why she had rebuffed his storage-room advances. After a confrontation with Kristen, Brady was convinced that she is up to no good. Theresa was upset after Brady got romantic with her, but then beat a hasty retreat. Theresa realized that she would lose Brady for good if she ever admitted that she was the person who caused John to go into a coma. Stunned to learn that legal charges against Stefano could be dropped, Kate and Sami attempted to make sure that he doesn't return for his legal hearing.
 
9/8/14-9/12/14: EJ walked away after Clyde suggested that they do some business together. Clyde phoned a mystery person and said that he thinks he found a deal that would keep him in Salem. Meanwhile, EJ made a phone call and ordered someone to check into Clyde's past. Theresa, who is responsible for John's coma, panicked when Kristen told her that Daniel and Kayla found a drug that could bring John back to consciousness. Eve schemed to break up Paige and JJ, who both began college. Will accepted Zoe's offer to write for Sonix, a Web magazine. Ben accused Abigail of still having feelings for EJ when she said that she had rejected his romantic moves because of thoughts about EJ. Rafe told Sami and Kate that the police have new evidence against Stefano, who would be arrested if he returns to Salem. Hope fantasized about Aiden.
 
9/15/14-9/19/14: After admitting to both herself and Aiden that she has feelings for him, Hope realized that it's time she ended things with Bo, who has deserted her and Ciara. Hope later wrote Bo a letter, telling him that she is filing for a divorce and moving on with her life. Chad returned to Salem and confronted EJ after Sami sent him Will's article about EJ's affair with Abigail. Chad -- who had been recovering from a bullet that was meant for EJ -- accused EJ. of betraying him, since Chad had been in love with Abigail. Chad went to see Abigail and was upset to learn that she is involved with Ben. Chad offered to work with Kate to get revenge against their enemies. Kristen told Brady that Stefano forced her to make Eric agree not to testify in exchange for the drug that could bring John out of his coma. Things started to heat up between Sami and EJ after Roman urged her not to reconcile with him.
 
9/22/14-9/26/14: EJ and Sami made love after he admitted he knew all along that Kristen had drugged Eric, and Sami admitted that she had trust issues. EJ and Sami remarried in a private ceremony after agreeing that they would be starting a new life with a clean slate. EJ was later stunned to see his crazy mother, Susan. When John's condition didn't change, Brady accused Kristen of knowing from the start that the drug she procured for John wouldn't work. Marlena was talking to John when he suddenly moved his hand and then opened his eyes. Eric sent text messages regarding John to Brady and Daniel. Theresa panicked when Daniel said that John was coming out of the coma, adding that she's the only one who knows who's responsible for John's state. JJ realized that Eve was behind the latest plot to break up him and Paige. Abigail worried about Ben after she saw him give Jordan an envelope full of cash.
 
9/29/14-10/3/14: Marlena and John had an emotional reunion. EJ insisted that he was fine when Susan said that she came to Salem because of a premonition that his life was in danger. Susan is determined to get EJ to move to England with her. When Sami arrived, Susan said that she could move to England with her, EJ, Johnny and Sydney. Susan apologized to Marlena for the bad things she'd done to her and John in the past, and was glad to hear that John is on the mend. A run-in with Kristen wasn't pleasant, as Susan recalled that Kristen had tried to sell her into slavery years ago. Paige was surprised by JJ's over-the-top reaction when she said that she'd overheard Jennifer tell a patient of her rape experience. Everything went wrong during Hope and Aiden's first real date, but she agreed to another one anyway. Ben and Abigail made love for the first time. Eve is determined to keep JJ away from Paige.
 
10/6/14-10/10/14: EJ told Stefano about Victor's claim that Stefano was out to get him, and Stefano told a stunned EJ that he plans to destroy him. Stefano disowned EJ after blasting him for reuniting with Sami, for letting Sami and Kate take over DiMera Enterprises and for being the reason that Stefano is a fugitive and can't return to America. Chad told Sami that he will never forgive EJ for his affair with Abigail. Marlena warned Brady that Kristen only got the medicine that brought John out of his coma because she wants Brady back. John, who realized Theresa was the one who put him in a coma, summoned her, Brady, Kristen, Marlena and Roman to his hospital room. Paige confronted JJ after learning during an interview with Kayla that Jack was JJ's father.
 
10/13/14-10/17/14: In the woods near the park, EJ's henchman Miguel shot him after he hit Clyde during an argument. Clyde and Miguel took EJ's wallet, watch and wedding ring, and Clyde ordered Miguel to see that a junkie ended up with the possessions, along with EJ's gun. Sami ran to EJ after hearing the gunshot, and they said they loved each other before he lost consciousness. Rafe and paramedics arrived, but EJ died. Kristen sneaked into the morgue and injected something into EJ's arm. Sami, who had EJ's phone, answered a call from Stefano and told him that EJ was dead. Sami told Johnny, Allie and Sydney that their daddy had passed away. Rafe and Abe searched for EJ's killer. Kristen recalled trying to tell Brady that Theresa had hit John, as Brady was telling her that John said Brady had hit him in self-defense. Brady said a final goodbye to Kristen. Aiden got upset when Maggie asked about his past. 
 
10/20/14-10/24/14: Sami didn't take it seriously when Kate mentioned that there was documented proof of Sami's fraud that could land her in prison. After Johnny worried that he would lose Sami like he lost EJ, Sami told Kate and Lucas that she was ready to face any legal problems because she didn't want to risk losing her children. Will overheard Sami talking to Lucas and Kate. Paige ran off after JJ rejected her attempt to seduce him without telling her why, but said that he loves her. Later, JJ prepared to tell Paige that he didn't think he deserved her because his dad (Jack) had raped Kayla years ago. Kristen was able to get proof that it was Theresa, not Brady, who caused John's coma. Daniel warned Kristen that if she planned to use what she learned to get Brady back, he'd see that it wouldn't happen. Chad accused Abigail (his ex-girlfriend) of being jealous of his interest in Jordan.
 
10/27/14-10/31/14: Before leaving for California, Sami said goodbye to family and friends. Lucas agreed that Sami should leave and said he would visit his daughter Allie, who, along with Johnny and Sydney, are going with Sami. An upset Sonny agreed that Will should accept the job to write the screenplay for the story of Sami's life, even though it means he has to go to Hollywood for several months. Brady didn't believe Kristen when she told him that Theresa was the person who caused John to go into a coma. Brady had to apologize for calling Kristen a liar after he heard John and Theresa talking about what she did to him. Paige told JJ she wanted to take a break from their relationship after Jill told her she didn't drug JJ, and that he's a player. Clyde blackmailed Jordan into getting Ben to let Clyde pay for his college tuition. Aiden got upset to see Bree, a woman from his past, in Salem.

11/3/14-11/7/14: Brady apologized for calling Kristen a liar when she told him that Theresa had caused John's coma. Kristen was devastated and then angry when Brady said that there was no way they could have a new start, especially after he caught her and Daniel in a compromising situation. After losing Brady and before leaving town, Kristen ordered two thugs to attack Theresa after overhearing her tell Anne that she's pregnant with Brady's baby. After seeing Aiden talking to Bree, Hope told him that she had met Bree years ago before she moved to Portland. Aiden told Hope that Bree and his wife, Meredith, had been friends. Hope was stunned when Aiden said that they shouldn't rush into a relationship. JJ and Paige made up and then broke up again after Bev, who wants JJ for herself, sent Paige a cellphone photo of JJ with two girls. Daniel and Nicole are becoming close again. Jordan confronted Clyde with a gun.
 
11/10/14-11/14/14: Brady didn't believe Theresa when she told him that she was pregnant. Theresa -- who is unaware that Kristen had knocked her out and stolen her embryo, courtesy of a shady doctor -- was stunned to learn that she isn't pregnant. John, who went to Europe to take care of his company, Basic Black, gave Marlena a goodbye kiss. Before John left, Brady made it clear that he doesn't want him interfering in his life anymore. Seeing Daniel as a father figure, JJ confessed that he made the big mistake of sleeping with Paige's mother, Eve. Jordan was unable to shoot Clyde, who said that he hadn't raped her when she was a teenager. A newcomer in town, Paul, came on to Jordan and Abigail. Paul's agent prevented Daniel from performing surgery on Paul. Daniel told Brady that he and Kristen didn't have sex before she left town. Hope and Aiden finally made love.
 
11/17/14-11/21/14: As part of an attempt to rekindle their friendship, Daniel attempted to show Nicole how to throw a football, and she ended up hitting him in the head and knocking him out. JJ, who is racked with guilt over sleeping with Eve, told Paige that he's not good enough for her. Paige offered to give JJ some space to work things out. Chad interrupted a romantic moment between Kate and Clyde. Later, Kate made plans to buy an energy company that Chad said Stefano instructed him to tell her he wasn't interested in. Chad blackmailed Kate into doing his bidding by threatening to tell Stefano that she plans to ruin him. Theresa told Eve that she isn't pregnant by Brady, but added that she was sure the home test had turned out positive. Theresa told Brady that she has someone new (Paul). Daniel was surprised to see his daughter Melanie, who left Salem two years ago. 
 
11/24/14-11/28/14: Maggie was surprised to see her granddaughter Melanie, who said that she wants her return to Salem kept secret for now. Melanie told Maggie that she returned because her European work visa had expired, then added that a female "friend" from Europe was also coming to Salem. Daniel told Nicole that he's glad they are "friends" again, but reminded her of their shared attraction. Melanie blasted Kate when she answered the door of Daniel's apartment clad only in a towel. JJ decided that he has to man up and tell Paige that he slept with her mother (Eve). Sonny was upset to learn through the grapevine that Chad is now co-CEO of DiMera Enterprises with Kate. Rafe asked Marlena for help because he's worried about what other inmates might do to his sister Gabi when they learn that her brother is a cop. Clyde had his first shrink session with Marlena.

12/1/14-12/5/14: An excited Theresa told Anne that she had made a connection with Paul, the baseball player who recently had shoulder surgery at the hospital. In a break room, Sonny was surprised to see Paul, who suddenly kissed him. Later, Sonny tried to forget about his past romantic involvement with Paul. Theresa was upset when Paul quashed her attempt to get romantic. Jordan was stunned when Kate answered the door to Clyde's room dressed in a robe. Jordan warned Kate that she will regret the day she brought Clyde to Salem. Melanie agreed with Ben, who said that he'd told Abigail about his distrust of Chad. Melanie's friend Serena arrived in Salem. Serena also knows Marlena. Daniel knows that Melanie is hiding something. Aiden warned his son Chase not to talk to Hope about his mother, Meredith. When Will finally called from Los Angeles, he was nasty to Sonny.
 
12/8/14-12/12/14: Brady rescued Melanie from a woman, Kelly, and her henchman, who had chased Melanie through the park. Kelly told Brady that Melanie had stolen a lot of money from a casino in Europe, through counting cards. Brady made Kelly sign papers stating that Melanie was in the clear after she returned the money to Kelly. Eric was stunned to see Serena, whom he had been romantically involved with in Africa, where he'd worked as a photographer. Eric apologized for abruptly leaving Serena after deciding to become a priest. Will returned to Salem, but didn't tell Sonny that his dream of becoming a Hollywood writer didn't pan out. Sonny told Adrienne that Will doesn't need to know about his and Paul's past relationship. Jordan told Paul, who can't stop thinking about Sonny, that it's too soon after his surgery to tell whether he will be able to pitch again.
 
12/15/14-12/19/14: Aiden went to a nearby town to confront Bree, who had warned Hope that getting involved with him could prove to be dangerous. Aiden later told Hope that Bree had tried to convince anyone who would listen that he was responsible for the death of his wife, Meredith. Aiden told Hope that he left Portland to protect Chase from Bree's lies. When Aiden talked about ending things with Hope, she grabbed him and kissed him. Brady stood up for Melanie when Theresa, who had seen Melanie embracing Brady, tried to make sure that Melanie wasn't rehired at the hospital. Nicole was not happy to see Eric on a date with Serena. Eric caught Nicole looking for info on Serena's past. Serena asked Melanie for any gossip about Nicole. Paul was uneasy when Will asked about his love life. Eve arranged for Paige to visit her "ailing" grandfather Shane to keep her away from JJ during the holidays.
 
12/22/14-12/26/14: JJ ended up sleeping with Eve again after confronting her. Before retiring to the bedroom, they argued about her sending Paige to California, allegedly to be with her ailing grandfather, Shane, but really to keep her away from JJ. Paige returned to Salem after seeing that Shane wasn't as ill as Eve had told her, and was stunned when (a guilty) JJ told her that they were through. Visiting Gabi at Statesville prison, Rafe was upset that Will hadn't brought Arianna to see her in weeks, but Will, Arianna and Sonny arrived to see Gabi just as Rafe was leaving. Melanie caught Nicole snooping around in Serena's room at the Salem Inn. Nicole found and photographed printouts of emails between Eric and Serena. Doug and Julie returned for Christmas and were upset Hope hadn't told them about her relationship with Aiden. Ornaments for Sonny and Arianna were hung on the tree during the Horton's Christmas celebration.
 
12/29/14-1/2/15: Rafe handed in his gun and badge after Roman showed him an anonymous letter (Chad had it delivered) stating that Rafe had covered for Gabi when she hired Andrew to kidnap Melanie. Melanie visited Gabi in prison and forgave her for hiring Andrew. Paul was devastated when Daniel told him that his repaired shoulder would never be able to stand up to the pressure of pitching a baseball again. Later, Paul told Sonny that he still loves him and wants to get back together. Will was furious when he learned that Sonny had withdrawn nearly all the money in their joint bank accounts to pay for the addition to Club TBD. Jordan and Chad made love. After Melanie warned Jordan that dating Chad could be dangerous, Chad told Jordan about his past with Melanie. When Paige asked why JJ dumped her, he said it was because he slept with another woman, but didn't say it was her mom, Eve.
