1/5/15-1/9/15: Kayla told Hope that Aiden threatened Bree after learning that she had been talking to Hope about his past. When Hope confronted Aiden, he told her that Bree is determined to ruin him because she is convinced that he had something to do with the death of his wife, Meredith. While interviewing Paul for an article on his life as a baseball player, Will was confused when Paul came on to him. Paul said that he was joking when Will asked if he was gay. Sonny was surprised that Chad wasn't angry with Sonny, who lost their money in a failed building renovation deal. Chad agreed quickly when Sonny said that he owed him for not taking Sonny's share of Club TBD in lieu of the lost money. Melanie consoled Theresa, who, after picking up a baby rattle, recalled learning that she was pregnant months ago. Melanie and Brady agreed to forget that they kissed. Eric told Nicole she is out of his life forever.
 
1/12/15-1/16/15: Kate pressured Will to write an article about Paul that reveals who Paul really is. Will, who has slept with Paul, didn't want to "out" Paul in his article, so he was surprised when Paul called and said that he can no longer keep his sexual orientation a secret, and told Will to mention it in his interview. In a confrontation with Jordan about the death of her mother (his wife), Clyde accused her of not facing the fact that she was partially responsible for Meredith's death. After JJ admitted to Paige that he cheated on her, she wrongly assumed it was with Theresa or Bev. During an argument with Jennifer, Eve came close to telling her that she slept with JJ. Hope realized that Aiden hasn't told her everything about his past. After Sonny turned down the job, Victor hired Rafe to run his recently purchased nightclub. Nicole decided to contact an anonymous source who claimed to have information on Serena.
 
1/19/15-1/23/15: At the opening of Victor's club, Nicole got into a catfight with Serena. When Daniel didn't side with her, Nicole called a mystery person to get information on Serena's past. Also at the club opening, Chad fumed when Rafe kissed Jordan, who was Chad's date. Upset that Jordan kissed Rafe, Chad told Abigail that she shouldn't trust Ben. Ben and Chad got into a fight after Chad made negative remarks about Clyde. Ben ended up being arrested. Rafe, the manager of Victor's club, banished Kate and Clyde from the club. Aiden panicked when his son Chase invited Hope and Ciara to go with them to their Puget Sound vacation home. Will agreed when Paul said that he didn't want to come out in Will's article about him. Paul was shocked to learn that Will is married to Sonny. Paige, whom JJ had dumped, was stunned by JJ's anger at seeing her with Cole.
 
1/26/15-1/30/15: Victor's henchman Damon reported seeing one of Clyde's men selling drugs near St. Luke's church. With Victor's approval, Damon later shot and killed Clyde, who thought he was meeting Victor. Rafe, who works for Victor, told him about a trucking company in competition with Victor's company that overcharged for a delivery to Victor's new club. Will, who told Kate about his affair with Paul, was surprised when she told him not to tell Sonny. During a final interview with Paul, a shocked Will learned that Sonny and Paul were once involved and that Sonny had proposed to Paul. Aiden said that Hope and Ciara could go to Puget Sound with him after she said that the trip could give Chase a chance to say goodbye to his mother. Nicole's attempt to expose Serena's past to Eric and Daniel bombed, resulting in Daniel breaking up with her. Melanie and Brady went on a first date.
 
2/2/15-2/6/15: Paul admitted to Sonny that he told someone about their past romance, but didn't mention that Will is the "someone." Sonny sympathized with Paul, who said that he will never be able to play baseball again. Lucas and Adrienne got closer while he helped her cope with the aftermath of Sonny's vicious attack. Adrienne fretted as Daniel and Kayla performed emergency surgery on Sonny. JJ told Eve that he squelched Paige's attempts to rekindle their former romance, and said that he told Paige they will never get back together because he is still seeing the woman (Eve) he betrayed her with. At the Puget Sound cabin, Aiden was upset that his plan to "take care of things" wasn't working out because Chase, Hope and Ciara were there. Aiden told Hope that his deceased wife, Meredith, was always quick to remind him that she was the breadwinner in the family. Ben tried to contact Clyde.
 
2/9/15-2/13/15: Will begged an unconscious Sonny to stay with him. Sonny opened his eyes and became hysterical when he saw Will, setting off his monitors. A stunned Paul said that he was going to leave town after Adrienne revealed that she knew about his past relationship with Sonny. Adrienne profusely thanked Paul after learning that he donated blood for Sonny. Victor was upset when he learned that Sonny had been stabbed because of Victor's plan to end Clyde's drug business. Victor's henchman Damon, who shot Clyde, said that Clyde's body had not been found. JJ again blew off Paige when she wanted the name of the woman that he's having an affair with. Paige told Eve that she was moving out due to Eve's glee at her split with JJ. After an encounter with Bree, Hope found a recording that Aiden's wife Meredith hid in the cabin before her death. Serena plotted to switch her elephant figurine.
 
2/16/15-2/20/15: After watching a video that Meredith had made before her death, Hope worried that her life was in danger, since she's stranded in the cabin with Aiden. Aiden reminded Hope that Meredith had been a liar and insisted that he hadn't killed Meredith. Aiden then said that he's been protecting Chase, because the boy shot Meredith. With Serena's help, Melanie learned that Dr. Mandrake, whom she overheard Clint talking to on the phone, is a fertility doctor. Clint dumped Theresa after they made love, and then reported to Dr. Mandrake that Theresa has no memory of what happened to her (when Mandrake removed a fetus from Theresa and implanted it in Kristen). Justin returned to Salem and was upset to see that Adrienne and Lucas have become close. Sonny is upset that he can't remember what happened before he was stabbed. Will's story about Paul was released online. JJ slept with Eve again.
 
2/23/15-2/27/15: Sonny had to be sedated after he and Will argued over Will's affair with Paul. After Paul admitted to Marlena during therapy that he loves Sonny and had an affair with Will, she told a stunned Paul that Will is her son. Paul feels guilty about not telling his mother, Tori, years ago that he was gay. After arriving in Salem, Tori urged Paul to go home with her. Hope agreed not to tell anyone that Aiden had covered for Chase, who had accidentally shot a drunken Meredith when she reached for her gun, which Chase was playing with. Serena badgered Eric to get the elephant statue back from the person he gave it to. During an argument, Eve came close to telling Jennifer about her affair with JJ. Paige told JJ that she doesn't care who he has been sleeping with. Justin refused when Clyde asked him to be his lawyer. Theresa tried to find Dr. Mandrake after getting him when she called Clint.

3/2/15-3/6/15: Marlena gently reminded Will that he was the one who cheated on Sonny with Paul, and suggested that Will give Sonny some space to come to terms with everything. Later, Will was stunned when Sonny, who was released from the hospital, said that he was leaving town to spend time with his brothers while he recovers from his stab wound. After Eve interfered, Roxanne refused to go ahead with JJ's plan to let everyone think they are lovers. JJ realized that Eve was jealous of him spending time with Roxanne. Jennifer went to confront Roxanne, found her hotel room door ajar, and was shocked when she saw JJ and Eve in bed together. Tori sneaked out of Club TBD when she saw John enter, and watched unseen as Marlena joined him. After sharing a kiss, Adrienne and Lucas had a hard time staying away from each other. Melanie fumed when Brady defended Theresa.
 
3/9/15-3/13/15: Chad told Kate that the company's European financial success gave them an opportunity to take over full control of DiMera Enterprises. Stefano's return to Salem before a DiMera Enterprises board meeting put a big crimp in Chad and Kate's takeover plan. Jordan, who accepted a job in New York, said her goodbyes to Rafe and Ben. Before leaving, Jordan warned Clyde that if he ever does anything to hurt Ben, she would tell Ben "everything" about Clyde's past. Lucas was shocked to learn that Sonny had gone to Phoenix to see his brothers. Adrienne admitted to Justin that she and Lucas had kissed. Tori left the restaurant where she and Paul were dining after John and Marlena came in. Tori responded disingenuously when Paul asked if she was trying to avoid John and Marlena. Will and Lucas checked into an old photo of Tori that they had found. Rafe knows that Victor is up to something.
 
3/16/15-3/20/15: Before the DiMera Enterprises board meeting, Chad secretly gloated that he would soon be the sole CEO of the company. Kate was stunned to see Stefano at the board meeting. Kate fumed when she learned that Stefano had purchased a communications company which she had planned to use to help her gain control over DiMera. The board reinstated Stefano as CEO of the company. Hope and Abe were shocked to learn that tax evasion charges against Stefano had been dropped and that he just has to pay the taxes. Theresa was stunned when Clint, who had dumped her, showed up and wanted to sleep with her. Clint told Theresa that Dr. Mandrake is just an old friend of his. Clint attacked Brady, knocked him out, and injected him with something to make it look like he's using drugs again. Looking at an old photo, Will realized that John is Paul's father. Sonny returned to Salem.
 
3/23/15-3/27/15: Paul told Will he was sorry that Will and Sonny had an argument about him, and said he didn't believe Will's claim that Sonny married him because Paul had rejected his proposal years ago. Will told Paul that if he wants to help the situation he should leave Salem. Abigail was stunned when Ben suggested that she move in with him, and refused, telling him they shouldn't rush into anything and that her family wouldn't approve. Serena opened the elephant figurine while in Daniel's apartment with Parker, and hid the bag of diamonds she found in the fireplace to keep them safe. Eve was angry when Paige said that she forgave JJ and reunited with him. Nicole was upset that Daniel refused to get involved with her again. Brady recovered from the tranquilizer that Clint injected him with. Adrienne told Sonny that Justin had gone back to Dubai.

3/30/15-4/3/15: Seeing Daniel as a father figure, a guilty and tormented JJ confessed that he had been having an affair with Eve, despite the fact that she's Paige's mother. Meanwhile, Eve teamed up with Cole to make sure that Paige and JJ split up again. Lucas and Adrienne agreed they could be friends even though his son, Will, had cheated on Sonny, who is her son. Lucas and Adrienne ended up in bed together after he comforted her about her husband's return to Dubai. Chad realized that Paul was the blood donor who saved Sonny's life after he was stabbed. After an online search, Melanie realized that Clint took blood samples from Theresa and Brady, and also speculated that Clint and Dr. Mandrake had taken a fertilized egg from Theresa and implanted it in a surrogate (Kristen), who carried it to term. Paul's parentage was revealed at a charity event.

4/6/15-4/10/15: Nicole showed Brady an article about the "love triangle" featuring Paul, Will and Sonny, written by a shady reporter who had crashed the charity event. While celebrating Will and Sonny's first wedding anniversary during the charity event, Will begged Marlena not to tell anyone that Paul is John's son, because that would mean Paul would never leave Salem. Serena told Xander that she would give him the diamonds after he deposits $200,000 in her bank account. Xander said that if he didn't receive the diamonds she and Eric would pay. Daniel was shocked when Jennifer revealed that JJ and Eve had an affair, and warned him to keep mum about it because she wants JJ and Paige to stay together. At Eve's place, Paige found the jacket that JJ had worn when he and Eve began their affair. John learned the truth after Marlena confronted Tori.
 
4/13/15-4/17/15: Tori told John she had returned to Salem when she learned she was pregnant with Paul, but didn't tell him because she learned he had become a priest. Sonny urged Paul to give John a chance, but he wanted nothing to do with John. When John accused Marlena of knowing all along that Paul was his son, she said Tori had denied it, and it wasn't Marlena's call to tell John. Will vowed not to lose Sonny, who called him out on all his lies and betrayal. Kristen, who has given birth to Brady and Theresa's baby, ordered Clint to bring Theresa to her. Brady asked Victor to help him find Kristen after Melanie told Brady what she knows about Theresa, Kristen and the embryo transplant. Eve was livid when she found out that JJ and Paige had made love for the first time.
 
4/20/15-4/24/15: Kristen was stunned when Brady showed up at the castle in Italy. Kristen, who had a gun, refused when Brady, who learned about the embryo transplant from Melanie, told her that he wanted a DNA test on the baby. Brady and Theresa's baby (Christopher) is hidden in a secret nursery. Brady and Melanie, who stowed away in Brady's private jet, are being held captive in the castle. Victor fired Lucas from Mad World after learning of his affair with Adrienne. Adrienne later told Sonny (her son) about her affair with Lucas (Will's father) and admitted that she hasn't told Justin (Sonny's dad) about it yet. Will and Sonny continued to argue over Paul, whom Will is convinced will return to Salem now that John has gone to San Francisco looking for him. Aiden told Ben that the FBI is looking for him in connection with a gambling ring he had been involved with.
 
4/27/15-5/1/15: At the DiMera compound in Italy, Kristen had Brady thrown into a dungeon with Melanie. Clint brought Theresa to Kristen, who had her drugged so that bone marrow that Christopher needs could be taken from her. Kristen held a gun on Marlena, who showed up at the compound, and later a shot rang out. Brady was touched when he saw Christopher for the first time, and Theresa was thrilled to learn that she is the baby's mother. Feeling that they had a future, Chad kissed Abigail after telling her that he hadn't been able to go through with a plan to get even with her and ruin Ben. Chad was upset when he realized that Abigail and Ben are together. Lucas broke up a fight between Kate and Adrienne and then told Adrienne that Kate (his mom) is out of his life forever. Clyde warned Will not to print an article about him in Sonix. Nicole and Eric got close again after sharing a nice moment.

5/4/15-5/8/15: In Italy, the police determined that Kristen accidentally fell through a window, down a cliff and into a bay as she and Marlena struggled over a gun. Kristen's body was not found. Clint was found dead in the basement, and Dr. Mandrake escaped. Brady, Theresa and Christopher, along with Melanie and Marlena, returned to Salem. John and Marlena made amends after discussing his anger over her not telling him that Paul was his son. Eve enlisted Cole's help to bring Paige and JJ's romance to an end, but worried about what Cole could do to achieve that goal. Kate told Clyde that Stefano owns Sonix and may have put Zoe up to forcing Will to write a story about Clyde. Serena asked Daniel to go to Hawaii, where she was offered a job, but he didn't want to leave Salem. Eric told Daniel that he and Nicole are over for good. Adrienne and Lucas were unaware that Justin is back in Salem.
 
5/11/15-5/15/15: Marlena told Chad that his sister Kristen died when she fell out a window at the DiMera mansion in Italy while she and Marlena were struggling over a gun. Marlena was kidnapped by two of Stefano's thugs as she walked through the park after leaving Chad. In Italy, Stefano told Marlena that she was going to pay with her life for killing Kristen, by being thrown out the same window that Kristen had fallen from. Brady and Theresa were relieved that tests showed their son Christopher was in good health. Theresa told Eve that she was nervous about being a mom, but it was OK because she and Brady would be raising Christopher together. Theresa was working on a plan to keep Brady and Melanie apart while he was making plans for a future with Melanie. JJ suspected Eve when he found the marijuana that Cole had put in his backpack. Nicole found a link between Serena and Xander.
 
5/18/15-5/22/15: JJ was able to get the goods on Eve by using a burner phone to text her and pretending to be Cole, demanding blackmail money from her. After Eve made the money drop at the park, JJ jumped out of the brush and took a photo of her. The birthday party that JJ planned for Paige was a disaster after JJ's affair with Eve was revealed and Eve vowed to get revenge on Jennifer. Theresa and Brady were thrilled to be able to hold their baby (they renamed him "Tate") after a successful bone marrow transplant with Theresa as the donor. Theresa worried when Kimberly, her mother, showed up unexpectedly. Serena worried that Nicole is close to finding out about Serena's connection to Xander. Nicole looked at a photo of the elephant figurine on Xander's phone when he left the room. Will fumed when he came home and found Paul, with Sonny's permission, baby-sitting Arianna.
 
5/25/15-5/29/15: Melanie told Brady that because of Tate she couldn't accept Brady's marriage proposal. Theresa refused when Kimberly tried to get her to return to California with Tate so Kimberly and Shane (Theresa's father) could help her raise Tate. Brady blasted Theresa after learning that she'd threatened to take Tate to California if Melanie didn't break up with him. Paige told Jennifer that she wants nothing more to do with her after learning that she knew about JJ's affair with Eve but said nothing. Paige didn't believe JJ when he said that he loves her and tried to apologize for his affair with Eve. Paige told JJ that she can't forgive him and warned him never to come near her again. Paul warned Will that he would tell Sonny that Will had blackmailed Tori (Paul's mother) if Will keeps deceiving Sonny. Rafe and Chad want to see Will's notes for his online magazine interview with Clyde.

6/1/15-6/5/15: Eric confronted Serena after he accepted a package addressed to her and, when it accidentally opened, saw a photo of her and Xander. Eric walked out on Serena when she tried to lie about her connection to Xander. Meanwhile, Parker unwittingly caused Daniel to find the diamonds that Serena had hidden in his fireplace. Brady failed to convince Melanie to stay in Salem. Melanie said that she was leaving for Tate's sake so that he would know his father (Brady), which wouldn't be the case if Theresa took the infant to California. Theresa gloated when Melanie told her that she was returning to Vienna to be with her mother. Serena warned Theresa that Brady would hate her forever for breaking up him and Melanie. Will admitted to Sonny that he purposely missed their therapy session because he is afraid Sonny will ultimately leave him. Abigail consoled Chad over Kristen's death.
 
6/8/15-6/12/15: Abigail slept with Chad, but afterward was upset that she cheated on Ben. Chad later rejected Abigail because he doesn't think he's good enough for her. Clyde warned Ben to keep an eye on Chad after he told him that Abigail spent time with Chad because Chad was upset about Kristen's death. Stefano returned to Salem and ordered his nephew Xander to find the diamonds, give Stefano his cut and then get out of town permanently. Eric told Daniel, who hasn't found the diamonds yet, that he hadn't known about the hidden compartment that Daniel found in the elephant statue. Serena played dumb when Eric asked what Xander had tricked him into smuggling out of Africa in the elephant statue. At Arianna's birthday party, Kate blabbed that Lucas and Adrienne are having an affair. Eve planned to get revenge against Jennifer by revealing that her mother, Laura, had been in a mental hospital.

6/15/15-6/19/15: Nicole arranged to meet Daniel at the Kiriakis mansion after she learned that Xander had been charged with murder in Scotland but had been released after a short prison stint due to a letter Victor had written to authorities on his behalf. Eric rescued Nicole, who had been attacked by Xander as she left the darkened TV station. Nicole and Eric went on the run after she revealed what she learned about Xander, who is after both of them. Theresa's hopes of getting together with Brady were dashed when he said that he won't forgive her for causing Melanie to leave town, and that he will spend time with baby Tate, but not her. Xander told Serena that he wouldn't harm her or Eric if they keep their mouths shut. Eric told Serena that he knows Xander was behind Eric's unwitting smuggling of blood diamonds from Africa to Salem in the elephant statue. Ben came close to learning that Abigail had slept with Chad. Will failed an attempt to make sure his and Sonny's couple's therapy sessions were successful.
 
6/22/15-6/26/15: Abigail readily accepted when Ben said his offer to let her move in with him was still open. A guilty Abigail recalled betraying Ben by sleeping with Chad. Ben later saw Chad and Abigail together, and when she didn't explain the meeting, Ben decided to move on without her. Stefano told Chad that he had paid to get all the legal charges against him dropped and was now back in Salem for good. When Stefano brought up Abigail, Chad insisted that he had no interest in her. Eric and Nicole failed to escape from a boiler room in which Xander had locked them, and believing they would die (Xander turned up the heat in the room), Eric and Nicole recalled the bad and good moments of their past and came very close to making love before they were rescued. Theresa was convinced that she and Brady would have a future together after he moved her and baby Tate into the Kiriakis mansion.
 
6/29/15-7/3/15: After his arrest, Xander falsely told Abe and Roman that he didn't try to kill Eric and Nicole. Xander said he was in Chicago at the time and silently made it clear to Serena that she would pay if she didn't back up his alibi, which she did. At the hospital where Nicole was recuperating, she convinced Eric that they couldn't tell Daniel about nearly making love when they were trapped. Nicole was surprised when Daniel proposed to her, and although she still has some feelings for Eric, she said yes. Daniel told Abe and Roman that Xander and Serena smuggled blood diamonds out of Africa. Sonny and Will got into another argument when Sonny accused Will of agreeing to write a story on their therapist, Dr. Meyers, to get her to concentrate on Will and Sonny's future instead of their current problems. Angered by Adrienne's affair with Lucas, Justin served her with divorce papers.

7/6/15-7/10/15: Abigail was stunned to learn that she is pregnant, but doesn't know whether Chad or Ben is the father. Nicole was surprised to run into Xander at the hospital, and wanted him arrested for attempting to murder her and Eric. Xander, lying, said that he didn't do anything to Nicole or Eric, and gloated that his alibi had held up, causing the police to release him. Eric blasted Serena for backing up Xander's alibi, and she said that he would have killed her if she hadn't. Serena told Eric that she didn't tell the police about her and Xander smuggling diamonds from Africa because Xander had similarly threatened her. Eric told Serena to get lost when she declared her love for him. Eric told Xander that he would make him pay for his dastardly actions. Kyle, who is selling drugs for Clyde, tried to recruit JJ. Victor and Stefano talked about their "problem" with Clyde.
 
7/13/15-7/17/15: Nicole blasted Serena for endangering Eric's life through her connection to Xander. When Serena accused Nicole of destroying Eric's life, the two got into a shoving match, which Eric had to break up. Nicole was surprised when Eric admitted that he loves her, but realized she can't reciprocate because of her relationship with Daniel. Nicole panicked when she realized that Serena may have overheard her and Eric. Nicole knows that she has to tell Daniel that she and Eric kissed once, while Xander held them captive. Going ahead with her plan to get even with Jennifer, whom she blames for her estrangement from Paige, Eve spiked Jennifer's drink with a drug that will emulate the mental illness that Laura (Jennifer's mother) had suffered from. Abigail had Kayla do a pregnancy test, which proved that Abigail is with child. Victor told Daniel that he can't help put Xander in prison.
 
7/20/15-7/24/15: Hope consoled Abigail, who admitted that she is pregnant, but doesn't know if Ben or Chad is the father. Abigail refused when Hope asked if she would consider an abortion. Clyde, who overheard part of Abigail and Hope's discussion and later sneaked back into Ben's apartment while Abigail was in the shower, took a prescription from her purse and learned it was for prenatal vitamins. Stefano, who wants the property in Ireland that Abigail will inherit, urged Chad not to give up on Abigail despite her relationship with Ben. Clyde also wants the property in Ireland. Daniel proposed to Nicole, who realized that Serena could ruin her life, as Eric had told Serena that he and Nicole had kissed while being held hostage by Xander. Brady had a confrontation with Xander.
 
7/27/15-7/31/15: Sonny was surprised when Will invited Paul to spend an evening out with them and also invited Derrick to join the fun. Sonny and Paul are unaware that Will is trying to get Paul and Derrick together to keep Paul away from Sonny. Paige disregarded JJ when he said that dating Kyle could put her in danger. Via electronic bug, Serena listened in on Eric's confession with Father Louis, and wrongly concluded that Eric and Nicole had slept together while held hostage by Xander. Serena told Daniel that she had something to tell him, while Eric told Nicole that he would never tell Daniel about their amatory near-miss. Maggie congratulated Daniel and Nicole on their engagement. Clyde took steps to ensure that the paternity test on Abigail's baby showed that Ben is the father. Hope and Aiden got romantic.

8/3/15-8/7/15: Nicole was surprised when Chloe arrived at Daniel's apartment while Nicole was making dinner. Nicole insisted that she has changed when Chloe said that Nicole wouldn't be good for Daniel and would be a bad stepmother for Chloe and Daniel's son, Parker. When Daniel came home, he had to break up the fight between Nicole and Chloe. Eve, who still wants revenge against Jennifer, perked up when she heard Jennifer say that she would do anything to keep Riley Satterfield from closing down the Horton Center for Abused Teens. Abigail realized that she has to forget Chad despite her feelings for him after learning that the paternity test showed that Ben is her baby's father. JJ, who is working undercover for the cops, told Kyle that he wants to work for him (dealing drugs) to speed up JJ's plan to send Kyle to prison. Daniel advised Serena to leave town. Caroline collapsed while talking to Serena.
 
8/10/15-8/14/15: Ben, who didn't know Abigail was pregnant at the time, was thrilled when she accepted his marriage proposal. Ben was surprised when Abigail then told him that she's expecting his baby, but later worried that the baby could be Chad's. Abigail was uneasy when Ben bragged to Chad that she's having his baby. Clyde, who wants Abigail's property in Ireland, was thrilled when Ben said that he's engaged to Abigail. Paul confronted Will after an unwitting Derrick referred to some tidbits about Paul that he had revealed to Will, who assured Paul that the information was off the record. Hope was surprised when Aiden said that he'd dropped Clyde as his client. Roman told Nicole that the police won't be able to prove that Xander was smuggling diamonds.
 
8/17/15-8/21/15: After walking out on another argument with Will, Sonny apologized to Paul for all the bad things that Will had done to Paul. Sonny accepted Victor's offer to work for him in Europe and then made plans to leave Salem immediately. Hope worried about Aiden, who was beaten badly by Clyde after he learned that Aiden was digging into his past. Hope was upset when Aiden claimed his beating was a random act and refused to talk to the police. Hope took Aiden to her home after realizing how much she cares about him. Abigail was upset after Stefano begged her to give Chad another chance. Abigail blasted Will, who said that Chad will realize he may be the father of her baby, despite the DNA proof that Ben is the dad. Eve realized that JJ plans to get Kyle arrested on drug charges in order to keep him away from Paige. Marlena was upset that John didn't tell her about his quest to find the identity of his parents.
 
8/24/15-8/28/15: Kayla was shocked to see her ex, Steve, and their son Joey, walk into the hospital. Steve made Joey tell Kayla why he wasn't at boarding school. When Steve said that he was home to stay, Kayla couldn't help but remember how he'd abandoned her and Joey years ago when he joined the ISA. Nicole won large sums of money in court from Xander and Serena for the evil things they did to her. Later, Eric found Serena's murdered body. To make Brady jealous, Theresa seduced Xander and screamed for help when Brady came home. Brady knocked Xander out and Xander was arrested after Theresa said that he tried to rape her. Chad told Abigail that Stefano wanted him to marry her because Stefano wants the inheritance and property in Ireland that she will get from Bridget. Using GPS data, Ben learned that Abigail met with Chad, and was upset that Abigail nixed eloping. Aiden proposed to Hope.
 
8/31/15-9/4/15: Rafe and Hope investigated Serena's strangulation murder. Justin agreed to take over as district attorney. Justin argued with Rafe (the lead detective), who didn't agree that Chad should be arrested for Serena's murder. (Chad was the last person Serena was seen with and has an injured lip.) Chad told Rafe that he and Serena had gotten very drunk and that he didn't see her after they left Club TBD. Chad is puzzled by the fact that he doesn't remember everything that happened on the night Serena died. When Steve said that he wants to stay in Salem with his family, Kayla reminded him that he'd abandoned her and Joey in Africa when he joined the ISA. Steve had bad vibes about Aiden, who gave Hope time to consider his proposal. John wants to rekindle his and Marlena's old romance. A mystery person ordered Aiden to carry out their plan for Hope.

9/7/15-9/11/15: Victor wondered why Steve is so determined to find Bo, but admitted that the ISA had intercepted the people Victor had sent to look for Bo, claiming they were putting Bo's life in danger. Steve read two letters that Victor had received from Bo and said that Bo hadn't written them, since Steve and Bo had never been in Tahiti on ISA business and Bo failed to mention Ciara's birthday. Stefano is behind Bo's imprisonment in a dingy cell. Stefano ordered Aiden to marry Hope tout de suite or he won't get paid. A devastated Eve turned to Justin for comfort after learning that Paige was the second victim of the person who had killed Serena. Again, Chad is the suspect. Theresa, who wants to buy Basic Black from John, suggested that she and Nicole, who also wants the company, buy it together. Marlena wanted a trial "marriage" when John proposed. Adrienne broke up with Lucas.
 
9/14/15-9/18/15: JJ told Jennifer that Clyde heads the drug ring in Salem, killed Kyle and threatened to kill him. Jennifer panicked when Clyde paid her a visit to talk about Abigail and Ben's wedding and subtly threatened her by urging her to enjoy her children while she could. Ben thanked Clyde, who bought a fancy home for Ben and Abigail to raise their baby in. Chad, who was released from jail, told Abigail that she would be in danger if she tried to help him. Abigail fumed when Ben said that he knew she was with Chad because of the GPS app he put on her phone. Stefano was hospitalized after he collapsed while denying Chad's claim that Stefano was framing him for Paige and Serena's murder. Marlena hypnotized Chad, who doesn't remember where he was during the murders. A returned Gabi was reunited with Will and Arianna. Steve and John began a search for Bo.
 
9/21/15-9/25/15: Eve reacted with anger when Paige's long-lost father, Eduardo, showed up in Salem "to bury his daughter," whom he hadn't seen in years. Rafe was stunned when he ran into Eduardo, who had never been in his life. Rafe was also stunned to realize that Paige had been his half-sister. Andre DiMera, whom everyone thought was dead, returned to Salem after learning his father, Stefano, had a heart attack. Chad arrived at Marlena's office in time to save her from the Necktie Killer as he tried to strangle her. Marlena, who had been unconscious, at first thought Chad tried to kill her. As Bo attempted to escape his captors, Steve arrived in Mexico searching for him. Nicole was livid when she learned Kate is Theresa's silent investor in the purchase of Basic Black. Ben fumed when he caught Abigail and Chad together. Lani Price, who is a Miami cop, arrived in Salem.
 
9/28/15-10/2/15: After his failed attempt to strangle Marlena, the Necktie Killer, who turned out to be Ben, went to the pier and threw evidence linking him to Serena's and Paige's murders into the water. Ben, who believes Chad made him become a killer, had a nightmare about how Paige struggled as he strangled her. Meanwhile, Chad was on the run from Roman and Rafe, who believed he was the killer. With help from Britta Englund's daughter, Claudia, Steve tracked Bo to a monastery in Mexico, but Bo's kidnappers had moved him to a new location, where they planned to torture him. Hope gave Aiden money to pay off a loan shark (Stefano); Aiden later learned someone had already paid off his debt. Abe was puzzled that Lani knows a lot about him. JJ worried he could be next after learning Kyle had "disappeared." Eve took her anger out on Jennifer during Paige's funeral.
 
10/5/15-10/9/15: The Necktie Killer (Ben) struck again after Will found evidence that could lead to his unmasking. Screams were heard from a woman who found the body. At the monastery where Bo was held captive, Steve found pills that Bo had hidden, and overpowered a guard. The guard didn't know where the kidnapper had taken Bo, but said Bo hadn't revealed information that the kidnapper wanted about a formula or serum. At a new location, the kidnapper drugged Bo and asked him questions about a drug developed with funding from Victor. Caroline had a vision about Bo. In Salem, Kayla injected Caroline, who has suffered memory loss, with the drug discovered by Dr. Salinas and funded by Victor at Bo's request. Aiden said he was protecting Hope when he didn't tell her about the incriminating information on Clyde that he gave to Roman. Rafe told Hope that Eduardo is his father, but asked her not to tell his sister Gabi.
 
10/12/15-10/16/15: Ben moved Will's body to his own apartment after strangling him in Abigail and Ben's apartment (Will had realized Ben was the Necktie Killer). Rafe tried to console Gabi, who had found Will's body. Lucas called Sami in California and she raced to Salem. Chad, who realized Ben is the killer, was hospitalized in a coma after Ben attacked him. Ben lied that putting Chad in a coma was self-defense. Marlena entered Chad's hospital room, thwarting Sami's plan to smother him. Victor flew Sonny in from Paris after telling him about Will's death. Sonny said he had planned to reconcile with Will. Victor vowed to prove Chad isn't the killer. An unknowing Rafe quizzed Ben while trying to clear Chad of the murders. John was hopeful that a woman named Louise is coming to Salem and may know who his parents were. Paul is also helping John check out his past.
 
10/19/15-10/23/15: Will's family and friends said their goodbyes to him during an outdoor funeral service. After the funeral, everyone went to the Brady Pub and was stunned when a returned-from-the-dead Andre DiMera showed up. When Roman wanted to arrest Andre, he showed a letter of pardon from the governor, and said that the statute of limitations had run out on all his other crimes. Andre told everyone that he has proof of being Stefano's son, not his nephew, given to him by his mother. Sonny returned to Paris after Will's funeral. Sami found a long-lost letter to her from EJ in Marlena's guest bedroom, and then told Eric that she was going to Switzerland to check out an address in the letter and investigate a key to a safe deposit box in her name at a Zurich bank. In Mexico, Steve was taken hostage and thrown in a room with Bo. Ben, who isn't fully aware that he is a murderer, admitted to Clyde that he is the Necktie Killer.
 
10/26/15-10/30/15: As soon as Chad came out of his coma, he was charged with being the Necktie Killer, and Justin arrested him. When Marlena visited Chad in jail, he said he has memory loss, but knows he didn't kill anyone. When he did have one memory flash of Will being killed, Chad told Marlena there was no way he could have killed his best friend; Marlena believed him. After Steve told Bo that Hope was going to marry Aiden, they stepped up their efforts to escape from their captors by rupturing a gas pipe. Aiden told Stefano and Andre that he is going to kill Hope on her wedding night to pay off the gambling debt he owes Stefano (if Aiden fails, Stefano plans to kill Chase). Aiden's plan is to strangle Hope with the necktie Chad found so that the police blame the Necktie Killer (Ben). Abe was upset when he realized that Lani is investigating his past. Eric received a message from Sami, who is in Zurich.

11/2/15-11/6/15: Everyone in Salem gathered at the Martin Mansion for a gala to celebrate the town's bicentennial. Bo and Steve, who were involved in a plane crash, didn't get to Salem in time to stop Hope from marrying Aiden. To pay off his debt to Stefano and Andre, Aiden used the necktie Chad had found to choke Hope on their wedding night. Hope is now fighting for her life. Ben grabbed his cellphone from Abigail, who saw photos taken at the time of all the murders committed; Abigail suddenly realized that Ben is the Necktie Killer. Ben then kidnapped Abigail and took her to the Horton cabin on Smith Island. Abigail vowed to survive for the sake of her unborn baby. John told Marlena he has decided not to continue his search for his birth parents, as she is his family now. Sami returned from Zurich with information she found in the safe deposit box.
 
11/9/15-11/13/15: Bo arrived in time to save Hope just as Aiden was trying to finish her off via strangulation. Aiden was shot and killed as he and Bo fought over Hope's service revolver. Rafe arrived, and Hope was rushed to the hospital, where Bo stayed by her bedside. Chad, whom everyone thought was the Necktie Killer, was released from jail because the police wrongly believe that Aiden was the killer. Sami told John and Marlena that the safety deposit box in Switzerland contained information that leads her to believe that EJ is alive. Andre had his thugs take Sami hostage. At the cabin, Abigail failed to overpower Ben, who admitted that he killed Will because Will realized he is the Necktie Killer. Kayla fumed when Steve said an enemy of his might have tried to harm Joey.
 
11/16/15-11/20/15: After dealing with her near-death at the hands of Aiden, Hope and Bo were reunited. Later, Hope was devastated when Bo told her that Kayla had done some tests on him that revealed he has an inoperable, untreatable, brain tumor and doesn't have long to live. Sami failed to make a deal with Andre, who had her kidnapped because she stole a large sum of DiMera money. Brady told Theresa that he would find a place for her and baby Tate to live after Victor threw her out of the Kiriakis mansion. Chad asked Marlena for help after Rafe refused to believe that Abigail was in trouble, even though Ben answered when Rafe called Abigail's cell. Abigail went into premature labor and begged Ben to get her to a hospital. Bo asked Victor to get the people who kidnapped him, as he fears they will go after Bo's family. Ciara told Chase she will help him deal with what Aiden did to Hope.
 
11/23/15-11/27/15: While talking in the park, Bo collapsed in Hope's arms and died suddenly. Kayla and Steve arrived after Hope tried to tell Kayla about Bo on the phone. Kayla comforted Hope while Steve said goodbye to Bo, who was taken away in an ambulance. Kayla told Caroline (Bo's mother), Roman and Shawn about Bo's death. Steve broke the news to Bo's father, Victor. Ciara was trying to help Chase come to terms with Aiden's attempt to kill Hope when she was told that her father, Bo, had died. John made a deal to hand over a flash drive containing all of Stefano's bank accounts, and in return, Andre took John to the cell where Sami was being held hostage, but she was gone. Chad told Rafe that he remembered Ben is the Necktie Killer. Abigail went into labor. Shawn's daughter, Claire, and John and Marlena's daughter, Belle, came home for Thanksgiving.
 
11/30/15-12/4/15: At the cabin, Abigail was shocked when Ben murdered Wendy, the midwife who helped Abigail deliver her baby, and buried her near the cabin. Ben informed Abigail that he was taking the baby and leaving her in the cabin, because she had lied to him and had kept sleeping with Chad. Against Rafe's orders, Chad left in a snowstorm to rescue Abigail, whom they'd learned was in a town called Mammoth Falls. After a confrontation, Ben took Chad hostage, tying him and Abigail to the bed, which Ben then set on fire before leaving with the baby. Stefano ordered a mystery person to find Sami, who has stolen Stefano's entire fortune. Determined to avenge Bo's death, Hope had a vision of Bo telling her to lure Claudia to Salem (Claudia had lured Bo to Mexico) and find Bo's captors. Steve and Kayla's "stalker" is their son, Joey, who doesn't want them to get a divorce.

12/7/15-12/11/15: Hope was angry that Dr. Malcolm didn't give her any info on Bo's captors, despite her holding him at gunpoint. Hope told Roman that she regretted that Rafe stopped her from killing Malcolm. Refusing to let Hope resign from the force, Roman put her on leave. Determined to get revenge against the captors who had nearly killed Bo, Hope used a Taser on Malcolm, who had told a mystery person that he didn't get info from Bo about the secret serum that Victor had developed to save Caroline's life. Chad and Abigail were able to get out of the burning cabin, but not before Ben took off with baby Thomas. Lani, who arrested Ben and JJ, searched for Thomas, who was alone in a motel room. Abigail tried to get Ben to talk, but he was mentally out of it. Philip Kiriakis, who has been working out of town, returned to Salem with plans to take over Titan, the family company. Andre plotted to use Belle to get to Sami.
 
12/14/15-12/18/15: Hope gave Rafe the slip when he tried to prevent her from confronting Dr. Malcolm, who had demanded ransom money after kidnapping Ciara. At a warehouse, Hope, who'd brought the ransom money, was eventually able to rescue Ciara after a confrontation with Malcolm. Rafe had to arrest Hope after Malcolm turned up dead. Rafe later tried to help Hope and Ciara get into the holiday spirit after their rescue. Eduardo told John that he belongs to an organization that ordered him to kill John, but he can get the organization to back off if he tells them that John is just searching for his parents. Andre brainwashed Chad to do his bidding after he refused to seduce Belle in order to get Sami to return the stolen DiMera fortune. Unaware of the brainwashing, Abigail was stunned when Chad broke off their new relationship. Kayla was upset to see mob princess Ava Vitali back in Salem.
 
12/21/15-12/25/15: Ava apologized to Kayla and Steve for all the bad things she did to them in the past, and then said that she has leukemia and wants Kayla to be her doctor. Kayla had a nurse take a blood sample from Ava, who faked a positive result using a concealed blood packet. Steve warned JJ, who has been working with Ava, that she is dangerous. A brainwashed Chad followed Andre's orders to get close to Belle, by hiring her as his lawyer so they can use her to force Sami to return the stolen DiMera fortune. Abigail was livid when she saw Chad, who dumped her, dining with Belle. Victor told Roman that he is keeping Salinas, who developed the drug that saved Caroline's life, in a safe place so that Bo's captors won't be able to find him in order to profit from the drug. Justin, who is the new district attorney, told Philip that he is not in Victor's pocket.
 
12/28/15-1/1/16: Philip consoled Belle after she received papers from Shawn, who had filed for divorce. After the Basic Black fashion show, Belle left with Chad and ended up at his place, where he began to seduce her. After taking baby Thomas to the hospital with a fever, Abigail was stunned to learn from tests that Chad, not Ben, is Thomas' biological father. Excited to tell Chad the news, Abigail burst into his hotel room and found him in bed with Belle. Hope secretly photographed a file that Rafe put together as part of his effort to find out who was behind Bo's kidnapping and torture. Rafe told Lani that like Hope, he thinks Stefano was behind what happened to Bo. Brady told Theresa that he loves her. Theresa stopped Kate from pulling Theresa's designs from the Basic Black fashion show. As Salem celebrated New Year's Eve, several citizens were involved in a tragic car accident.

1/4/16-1/8/16: In a three-car accident, Eric, who was intoxicated and driving in the wrong lane, caused Jennifer's car to skid when she tried to avoid him. Also in the accident was Brady, who was driving with Daniel as his passenger. Fynn broke the news to Maggie that her son, Daniel, died from his injuries. Marlena learned that her son, Eric, had a collapsed lung and heart damage. Victor was told that Brady's heart was also badly damaged. Maggie had to decide whether Eric or Brady got Daniel's heart. Daniel's fiancee, Nicole, was consoled by Chloe, who is back in Salem. Chad thought that Abigail was lying about him being Thomas' father, but after tests of his own, Chad learned that Thomas is in fact his son. Chad didn't let on that he'd emerged from the hypnotic state that Andre had put him in. Rafe didn't tell Hope that he'd found a connection between Dr. Malcolm, Stefano and what happened to Bo.
 
1/11/16-1/15/16: Realizing that Hope went to confront Stefano, whom she blamed for Bo's death, Rafe arrived at the DiMera mansion just after Hope put three bullets into Stefano's chest. Hope worried that Rafe was risking his career as a cop, so she at first refused to go along with his plan to "make Stefano disappear," but later changed her mind. Nicole blasted a recovering Eric for killing Daniel. Chloe, Nicole, Maggie and Daniel's daughter Melanie planned his funeral. Nicole was upset that Chloe would be taking her and Daniel's son, Parker, with her when she leaves after the funeral. Brady is recovering after receiving Daniel's heart, but has guilty feelings about surviving while Daniel died. Chad proposed to Melanie, who accepted. Ava told Steve that the baby in the photos is their son, though she doesn't know where he is.
 
1/18/16-1/22/16: Victor was not happy to find his brother Deimos in his home, since he was supposed to be serving a life sentence in a Greek prison. Deimos said that he was released, after serving 30 years, for good behavior. Victor refused when Deimos said he wanted a job so he can start a new life. Philip didn't take Victor's advice to stay away from Deimos, whom he met in the town square. With help from Eduardo, John met with Maude, who said that she was his mother and told him a story about his father dying as a hero in the Korean War. Maude also said that she gave John to her neighbors, who later died in a car crash, causing John to be adopted by the Alamain family. John foiled a plot to poison him hatched by Maude and a man named Vadim. Justin dropped charges against Hope for Malcolm's death, but told Roman that he wasn't sure Hope had killed Malcolm in self-defense since Malcolm was responsible Bo's death.
 
1/25/16-1/29/16: Realizing that Kayla was missing, Steve confronted Ava, who finally admitted that she knocked Kayla out and has hidden her somewhere. Steve, who had locked Ava up in his home, agreed to help her when she said that she would reveal Kayla's whereabouts if he helped her find her long-lost son. Convinced that Hope caused Stefano's "disappearance," and that Stefano is dead, Andre's search for Stefano's body led him to an abandoned warehouse. When construction workers blew up the warehouse, Andre became trapped, and Stefano's body was uncovered by the blast. Andre managed to escape, and set out to make Hope pay for Stefano's death. Nicole, Chloe, Parker and JJ, with Abigail's help, consoled each other during Daniel's funeral. Abigail reluctantly agreed when Chad said that he was buying the DiMera mansion so they can raise Thomas there. Melanie left town.
 
2/1/16-2/5/16: Belle agreed to help Philip, who said that he loves her. Deimos is using blackmail to force Philip to help him ruin Victor. Ava told Steve that she didn't trust him when he offered to help find her long-lost son if she released Kayla, whom she is holding prisoner. Steve agreed to Ava's demand that he sleep with her in order to free Kayla after Ava wasn't satisfied with his information about a neighbor of her father who dealt in black-market babies and may have sent her son to Indonesia. After looking in Chase's cellphone, Ciara confronted him, getting him to admit that he is the person who has been bullying Theo because he was jealous of their friendship. Eric thinks Jennifer is abusing painkillers.
 
2/8/16-2/12/16: In Maui, Ava was devastated to learn that her son had been one of two babies who had died after being sold by a black-market baby dealer. Steve returned to Salem and reunited with Kayla, who was rescued by Joey, but had suffered a head wound while being held hostage by Ava. Ava, who is still not out of the picture, made mysterious plans. Hope told Rafe that Andre broke into her house and stole Bo's gun, which she had used to shoot Stefano. Rafe panicked when Andre showed him the Phoenix ring that Andre had removed from Stefano's body. As part of his plan to make Hope pay for killing Stefano, Andre started a fire in her home (Hope put it out) and then befriended Chase. Unaware that Chad is worried about Andre's threats, Abigail rejected his suggestion that they elope and go on a long honeymoon. Deimos forced Philip to betray Victor.
 
2/15/16-2/19/16: After getting back Bo's gun, which Andre had stolen, Hope and Rafe used the fact that Andre's fingerprints were on the weapon to frame Andre for murdering Stefano. Andre was arrested. Fynn told Brady that the woman he has been dreaming about since he received Daniel's heart was a woman named Summer, whom Daniel met when he lived in Malibu. Nicole and Theresa each made the decision to follow Brady, who headed for California. Philip hid his distress when Belle said they should cool down their relationship and give each other some space. Belle later told Shawn that she wasn't going to reconcile with him and was moving on with her life. Eduardo began tailing Deimos, whom he saw give a very expensive diamond necklace to Kate. Eduardo told John that he'd gotten rid of the man sent to kill him (Eduardo), but warned that the "organization" would send someone else after them.
 
2/22/16-2/26/16: Consumed with guilt, Chase admitted to Andre that Ciara had told him to stop when he was kissing her, but he didn't and raped her. Chase insisted that he was an evil monster just like his father. Andre arranged for Chase to disappear. Hope realized something was wrong with Ciara, who refused to talk. In Malibu, Brady saved Summer from drowning, but she said that she was drunk and just wanted to swim in the ocean. Summer told Brady that she knew Daniel and Fynn when they lived in Malibu. Summer was hesitant when Brady wanted her to come to Salem. Kayla punched Ava, who'd taunted her about the video of Ava and Steve making love. Ava injected herself with a syringe to frame Kayla for attempted murder. At the hospital, Ava's heart stopped after a mystery person took action to get rid of her for good. Nicole and Dario got together.
 
2/29/16-3/4/16: Steve walked into Ava's hospital room just after his and Kayla's son, Joey, had turned off Ava's life support and smothered her. After checking Ava, who was dead, Steve made Joey go home. Kayla, who got a call from the hospital, arrived just as Steve was arrested after telling Roman that he'd killed Ava. After Joey told Kayla he was the true murderer, she went along with Steve's plan to take the blame. Theresa wasn't thrilled when Summer agreed to go to Salem with Brady, Theresa and Nicole to check out Daniel's suspicion that Summer was his sister (she'd told Brady her parents died), which would mean Maggie is her biological mother. Rafe didn't agree with Hope, who worried that Deimos -- not Stefano, whom she killed -- was the person who murdered Bo. Chad and JJ worked together to protect Abigail after learning that Ben escaped from the psychiatric hospital. JJ and Gabi made love.

3/7/16-3/11/16: John and Eduardo discussed trying to take down the Winterthorne Academy, which trained both men to be assassins. John received a message from the academy, which wants John and Eduardo to come back, saying "they" would trade Marlena and Arianna (who were kidnapped) for John and Eduardo. Shots rang out as John and Eduardo arrived at a warehouse in an attempt to rescue Marlena and Arianna. Abigail blasted Chad and JJ for not telling her immediately of Ben's escape from the mental facility, and worried about Ben coming for their son, Thomas. Brady told Summer that DNA results of a test Daniel had done before he died proved that she is Maggie's daughter. Summer wants Maggie to get to know her before learning about the true nature of their relationship. Hope confronted Chase about raping Ciara. Paul said he would help Henry if he decides to tell his parents that he's gay.
 
3/14/16-3/18/16: A stunned John learned that he had been taken hostage by his biological father, Timothy Robicheaux, who had presumably died in the Korean War, but had fled to China, changed his name to Yo Ling and founded the Phantom Alliance, consisting of spies, assassins and other nefarious elements. Yo Ling said that he has the same deadly disease that Caroline was cured of using the formula Yo Ling's henchman, Deimos, obtained after kidnapping Bo. Yo Ling also has a blood disease and needs a transfusion he intends to get from John, but can also get from Paul (who was also kidnapped) if John refuses. Steve, Rafe, Hope and Marlena made plans to rescue John and Paul. Abigail and Chad said their "I do's," despite worrying that Ben might make an appearance. The newlyweds honeymooned in Chicago, taking baby Thomas with them. Joey told Jade that he killed Ava and is letting Steve take the blame.
 
3/21/16-3/25/16: Rafe, Gabi and Dario were reunited with their long-lost mother, Adriana, who revealed that she had been kidnapped whilst in Mexico taking care of her sister. After Adriana was found, she was brought to Salem to be with her family. John was able to get free and prevent Yo Ling from brainwashing Paul, whom he had drugged. Steve, Rafe and Marlena arrived just in time to rescue John and Paul. Maggie told Victor that Summer is her daughter, whom she gave up for adoption. Victor warned Maggie that he thinks Summer is a con artist. Summer refused when Dario suggested that she steal money from Maggie. Steve and Kayla were relieved when Roman refused to charge Joey with Ava's murder because it would ruin Joey's life. Roman said that Steve was to blame because he was the reason Ava had ended up in Salem. Andre helped Chase disappear.
 
3/28/16-4/1/16: Maggie, who is unaware that Deimos replaced her medication with poison pills, began having headaches and balance problems, which caused her to fall down a flight of stairs in the Kiriakis mansion. Deimos, who wants revenge because Victor refused his offer of a truce, told Kate what he did to Maggie, Chad and JJ schemed to lure Ben to the DiMera home so they could capture him, but worried about Abigail's sanity when she kept seeing Ben even though no one else did and constantly worried that Ben would abduct Thomas. Adriana told Eduardo - who is recovering in the hospital after being shot while rescuing John and Paul - that she wants to stay in Salem. Rafe, Dario, Gabi and Adriana considered Eduardo's request for a second chance so they could be a family. Ciara told Chase, who is out of jail, to stay away from her. Theresa accepted Brady's marriage proposal.
 
4/4/16-4/8/16: Victor had a heart attack while arguing with Deimos, who left Victor to die, went upstairs and started making love with Kate. Nicole arrived, found Victor and called 911. Kate walked out on Deimos, who didn't care if Victor lived or died. Nicole, unaware that she reminded Deimos of Helena, a woman important to both him and Victor, was uneasy when Deimos kept staring at her. Deimos looked at a photo of Helena. Maggie, who is recovering from the poison that Deimos secretly put in her meds, couldn't feel her legs and worried that she will be paralyzed. Brady comforted Maggie after telling her that Victor had a heart attack and was in the same hospital as her. While alone in the DiMera mansion with Thomas, Abigail was confronted by Ben. Tricking Ben into thinking that she wanted to make love, Abigail tied him to the bedposts, poured lighter fluid on him, and then struck a match.
 
4/11/16-4/15/16: Just after Abigail threw a lit match onto the bed and Ben's legs started to burn, Chad burst into the room and smothered the fire. Chad called JJ, who arrived with Lani and had Ben taken to the hospital under police guard. Chad and JJ lied to Lani that Abigail acted in self-defense when she attacked Ben. Eric and Jennifer made love, and Eric later said goodbye to Marlena, Roman and John before he was taken away to serve a five-year sentence for the drunk driving accident that killed Daniel. Fynn told Kayla that he'd already told Steve that she has a subdural hematoma as a result of Ava's knocking her out, and that it could cause an aneurysm or death. Victor had flashbacks to the death of Nicole look-alike Helena. Rafe kissed Hope and said that he loves her. Hope told Caroline that she killed Victor.
 
4/18/16-4/22/16: Hope panicked when Andre, who is in jail awaiting trial for Stefano's murder, called her. Andre warned Hope that when he is cleared of the murder charge, he will come after her and Rafe, and will make them pay with their lives for killing Stefano. Hope confronted Deimos after a mystery caller urged her to nail Deimos for Bo's kidnapping. Deimos told Hope that he'd helped with Bo's kidnapping, but didn't torture Bo -- which was what killed him. Deimos, who covered his tracks, said that Hope would never prove his involvement in the kidnapping. Chad was angry when Abigail said that she'd told Marlena during a shrink session that she had set Ben on fire. Abigail, who fears she is mentally ill, vowed to get well for Thomas' sake. Belle gave Shawn signed divorce papers and said that she is moving on. Nicole quizzed Deimos about Helena.
 
4/25/16-4/29/16: Justin warned Nicole and Victor to be careful after learning that Nicole was willing to seduce Deimos in order to help Victor get the Kiriakis fortune away from him. When Nicole asked Deimos questions about Helena, he admitted that he had had an affair with her while she was engaged to Victor. Deimos, who doesn't really trust Nicole, told her that he had loved Helena, while Victor only wanted her money. Rafe told Hope that Deimos had invested in a company that made a payment to Dr. Seth Malcolm. When Hope received another call from the mystery person, she told Rafe that finding out who the person is could lead to proof that Deimos kidnapped and tortured Bo. Hope and Rafe made love for the first time. After a vigorous bout between the sheets, Philip was stunned when Belle wanted to get married in Vegas. Theo punched fellow student Mark after he forced a kiss on a frightened Ciara.

5/2/16-5/6/16: Victor and Maggie were released from the hospital and moved into a townhouse with wheelchair access for Maggie. Maggie told Julie and Caroline that Deimos had poisoned her. Maggie is unaware that Victor and Justin are plotting to make Deimos pay for taking over the Kiriakis mansion and the family fortune. Summer moved into the townhouse to take care of Maggie. Summer was surprised to see Clark, a man from her past who is blackmailing her. Summer agreed to fake an involvement with Dario and work a con on Maggie and Victor after Dario covered up Clark's accidental death during a violent argument with Summer. When Ciara wanted to move out on her own, Chad convinced her to move to the DiMera mansion and take care of Thomas while Abigail is in a mental hospital. Hope was shocked to find a presumed-dead Aiden in her home.
 
5/9/16-5/13/16: Hope was stunned to find a supposedly dead Aiden in her home, and held him at gunpoint. Aiden told Hope that he was hired by Stefano and Andre to kill her, but he couldn't do it. When Aiden last left Hope's house, Andre had sedated him, taken him somewhere and locked him in a cell. Six months later, Aiden escaped after overpowering a guard. Hope didn't believe Aiden, who said that Andre had hired an imposter, the Aiden look-alike who Bo shot and killed. Hope cuffed Aiden, put him under arrest took him to the police station. After he was released, Aiden went to see Andre. Rafe asked Hope if she still had feelings for Aiden. Chad was upset when Abigail refused to let him and Thomas visit her at the mental hospital. Steve searched for Joey and Jade, who were at her Aunt Simone's commune in Los Angeles. Kayla quarantined Salem hospital after several people were stricken with a deadly virus.
 
5/16/16-5/20/16: Marlena helped Paul, who is coping with post-traumatic stress syndrome caused by his kidnapping and brainwashing ordeal with his grandfather. Paul blamed himself for bringing the virus to Salem, as he suspects his grandfather injected him with it after kidnapping him. Fynn identified the deadly virus that several Salemites had contracted. Fynn received three doses of an antiviral medication from the CDC, which he used to treat Arianna, Paul and Gabi. When Kate proposed that she and Deimos elope to Vegas, he agreed, but said Kate must sign a prenup. Rafe gave Hope some space to decide if she still has said he would give Aiden an alibi for the time of Hope's brush with death and agreed not to testify that Hope killed Stefano. Ciara told Aiden that Chase had raped her. Ciara fantasized about a romance with Chad.
 
5/23/16-5/27/16: Rafe, who took off after seeing Hope kissing Aiden, didn't see Hope push Aiden away or hear her tell Aiden that she is falling in love with Rafe. Rafe vowed to fight for Hope. Hope went ballistic when Aiden talked about having to get Chase out of jail and clear his name. Hope reminded Aiden that Chase had raped Ciara, and said that Chase won't change and belongs in jail. Chase was hospitalized after being badly beaten. Ciara is determined to see that Chase pays for his actions. After making love, Belle told Shawn that she would see him again, but wouldn't make any definite commitments. Philip walked off after Belle admitted to her tryst with Shawn. Lani wished Shawn a happy life and took off after he told her that he still has feelings for Belle. Fynn drove Kayla to Los Angeles, where they joined Steve and John. The group traced Joey and Jade to Simone's commune.
 
5/30/16-6/3/16: Fynn and Kayla spent the night in a motel after his car broke down on the way to Los Angeles to look for Joey. Kayla doused the fire when she and Fynn came close to making love. Fynn gave Kayla painkillers for a headache after reminding her that she has a hematoma. John, who was worried about Kayla, arrived at the motel and reluctantly let Kayla and Fynn join the search for Joey. Joey and Jade took off on his motorcycle as Steve arrived at the commune, but Steve caught Joey when he returned for his belongings. The police arrived and arrested Joey for robberies that Jade had convinced him to commit. Rafe was upset to see Hope and Aiden embracing as Aiden worried about a critically injured Chase, who had been stabbed and beaten by an inmate. Kate, decided to give Deimos another chance, then caught him kissing Nicole. Abigail rejected a visit from Chad.
 
6/6/16-6/10/16: Using her cellphone, Kate recorded an argument between Deimos and Nicole, in which Nicole rejected a diamond ring that he tried to give her after she refused to be his mistress. Shoving Deimos to the ground, Nicole left when he belittled her love for Daniel. Kate confronted Deimos, who said their relationship was only about power and control, not love, and then suggested they elope to Las Vegas. Kate pushed Deimos, who hit his head on a tree and was swept away by the current after falling into a nearby river. Kate thinks Deimos is dead, but he actually survived. Kate called Roman and said she saw Nicole murder Deimos. Hope, who is trying to move on, had "talks" with the ghosts of Bo, her son Zack, her ex-husband Larry and Stefano, whom she murdered. Adriana's friend Blanca arrived from Mexico.
 
6/13/16-6/17/16: Joey, Steve and Kayla rushed to the commune when Jade texted Joey about a hostage situation there. Dirk, who had killed a store clerk during a robbery, wounded a cop when police tried to arrest him and then held Jade, Simone and some members of the commune hostage. Steve got inside the building and tried to negotiate with Dirk. The hostages, except for Joey and Steve, ran out of the building when Dirk let the wounded cop go. Joey was shot when he grabbed Dirk's gun to keep him from shooting another cop. Joey later underwent surgery. After crawling out of the river, Deimos called Chloe (they share a past), who bandaged his injury, but said he couldn't stay because she didn't want Parker hurt. Nicole told Rafe that she didn't kill Deimos. Chad and Marlena rushed to Shady Hills after learning that Abigail's face was burned in a fire. Doug and Julie moved into the Horton house.
 
6/20/16-6/24/16: Abigail, who had started the fire that burned her face in an attempt to get rid of her visions of Ben, escaped from Shady Hills hospital and went to her home. In another vision, Abigail held her son Thomas while waiting for Chad to arrive, and fantasized about a happy ending for her, Thomas and Chad. When Chad didn't arrive, Abigail left for parts unknown. Bell told Nicole and Dario she would find proof Kate "killed" Deimos and is framing Nicole. Chloe wasn't happy when Deimos hit it off with her son Parker. Chloe considered telling her friend Nicole about Deimos. When a man named Monahan confessed to the police he killed Stefano, Rafe realized Andre, who is now out on bail, paid Monahan to confess, since Andre, Rafe and Roman know Hope did the deed. Aiden hired Andre to kill Rafe after seeing the bond that still exists between Hope and Rafe.
 
6/27/16-7/1/16: Deimos was listening when Nicole phoned Chloe and said Kate told the police that Nicole pushed Deimos (who hit his head on a tree, fell into the river and is presumed dead). Nicole also told Chloe that Kate said she's married to Deimos, at which Deimos shook his head "no." When Nicole showed up at Chloe's home, Deimos agreed to return to Salem to clear her of murder, but first, Nicole has to help him get revenge against Kate. Chloe also decided to return to Salem. Summer, who accidentally killed Clark, told Dario that Clark's sister Janet is in Salem asking questions about Clark's "disappearance." Janet hired John to find Clark. When Hope and Aiden got romantic, she flashed back to the Aiden impostor trying to strangle her. Rafe, who is unaware Aiden hired Andre to kill him, learned Aiden visited Andre when he was in jail. Brady and Theresa plan to marry in August.

7/4/16-7/8/16: Chad suspected that Andre had something to do with Abigail's disappearance. Andre did admit that he saw Abigail before she took off and that she had given him a goodbye letter for Chad. Andre apologized for taking so long to give Chad the note from Abigail, adding that he hoped it wouldn't interfere with Chad signing over some DiMera property that he wanted. Later, Andre looked through the basement of an old house on the property. Rafe learned that Aiden, using a fake name, had visited Andre when he was in jail. Rafe also learned that the supposed timeline for Aiden purportedly being taken prisoner by the DiMeras and replaced with a double (who tried to strangle Hope on her wedding night) was wrong. Memories of the "Aiden" who tried to kill her kept Hope from making love with Aiden. A crying baby was heard on the plane that Summer left Salem on.
 
7/11/16-7/15/16: Brady roused Theresa, who had fallen asleep while alone with their baby, Tate. Shawn told Brady that tests done on Theresa's drink showed that someone had laced it with a drug. Shawn didn't agree with Theresa when she voiced her suspicion that Summer had taken Tate. Theresa fell asleep, and in a dream recalled Summer telling her "to keep Tate safe." Summer, who took a plane out of Salem, is on the run. Chad didn't believe Andre, who said that Abigail died when the charter plane she was on crashed in the Gulf of Mexico. Later, Andre called a mystery person and added the name "Jenny Thomas" (for Abigail) to the downed plane's passenger list. Jennifer convinced JJ that Chad, who is searching for Abigail, was not behind her disappearance. Doug and Julie gave Jennifer advice regarding her and Chad's custody fight over baby Thomas. Philip considered giving Chloe a recording contract.
 
7/18/16-7/22/16: After tracking Rafe to the DiMera property on a tip from Shawn, Hope found him in the basement of the old house and was able to free him just as a bomb planted by Andre exploded. An injured Hope and Rafe escaped via a tunnel under the house and Rafe, whose leg was bleeding, got a badly injured Hope to the hospital. Aiden was furious when Andre admitted that he "killed both Rafe and Hope" with a bomb as revenge for Stefano's death, and has fake evidence that will frame Aiden for the murder if Aiden tells anyone. Brady and Theresa found Summer in Los Vegas, and she said she'd refused a mystery blackmailer's request that she kidnap Tate. Steve joined the search for Tate. Summer accused Victor, who told Brady that he had nothing to do with the kidnapping. Blanca panicked and called a friend in Mexico after Adriana said a man named Guillermo called from there looking for Blanca.
 
7/25/16-7/29/16: Sonny, who left Salem after the death of his husband, Will, at the hands of Ben (the Necktie Killer), returned to town and shared a warm reunion with Justin, Adrienne, Maggie and his former significant other, Paul. Ciara, who is an intern at Shady Hills mental hospital, told Chase (who is a patient there) that Hope had proof that Chase's father, Aiden, not an imposter, tried to strangle Hope on their honeymoon. Fynn kissed Kayla, who told him that she isn't ready for a new relationship. Steve, who saw Fynn and Kayla's kiss, quit his dangerous private eye job in hopes of reuniting with Kayla, who wanted to keep things platonic. Deimos blackmailed Dr. Hochman into performing surgery that could allow Maggie to walk again in an attempt to mend fences with Victor. John and Brady questioned Deimos about Tate's kidnapping, while Theresa had a dream about her missing son.

8/1/16-8/5/16: Deimos told Nicole that he gave back half the fortune he stole from Victor to prove to her that he's not all bad. Nicole wasn't convinced that Deimos is a changed man, but succumbed to his charms. Things were moving too fast for Nicole, who ran off after Deimos proposed and talked about them having children. Chloe had a positive result from a pregnancy test, but considered terminating the pregnancy because Deimos is the father. Chloe told Philip that she's pregnant. When Chad said that Jennifer is suing him for custody of Thomas, Belle agreed to be his lawyer, but warned him to clean up his act if he wanted the judge to give him custody. Philip told Belle that he hadn't told Chloe, whom he offered a recording deal, that Belle is his business partner. Rafe decided to search for Tate, as he has no proof that Aiden and Andre caused the explosion that injured him and Hope.

8/22/16-8/26/16: Chloe warned Claire not to tell anyone that she is pregnant. Chloe had a nightmare about Deimos learning that he is her baby's father. Philip, who said he cares about Chloe and her son Parker, offered to say that he is her baby's father in order to keep Deimos out of her life. When Deimos talked about having a family with Nicole, she told him that an old bullet wound she suffered could prevent her from getting pregnant. Victor, Sonny, Nicole and Deimos were at Maggie's bedside after she underwent successful surgery that might enable her to walk again. With John's help, Theresa and Brady were reunited with Tate after they located the woman who took the baby to Chicago. Brady sided with Victor, who, though he was arrested for Tate's kidnapping, swore he had nothing to do with it. Jennifer turned to booze and pills after learning of Abigail's supposed death.
 
8/29/16-9/2/16: John encouraged Paul to hang in there after he admitted that even though he found Tate, he still worried about not being cut out for his private eye job. Paul ran into Sonny, and realized during their talk that Sonny is still grieving over Will's death. He suggested Sonny get therapy, which Sonny rejected. Sonny and Gabi visited Will's grave. Lucas, Adrienne, Doug and Julie consoled Jennifer over Abigail's death. Meanwhile, Chad went to a chapel and spoke to Abigail's "spirit." Jennifer was stunned when her mother, Laura, showed up on her doorstep saying she had information about Abigail. Hope wanted to but didn't resign from the police force when Aiden took over the district attorney job from Justin, because Rafe pointed out that if she kept her job, they could find out if Aiden knows they killed Stefano. Eduardo left town in order to protect his family from his enemies.

9/5/16-9/9/16: Following the trail of clues attached to a pill Brady found in Victor's home, Nicole located the drug dealer that sold the pills to Kate, who gave the drug to Theresa, rendering her unconscious at the time of Tate's kidnapping. After Nicole told Victor and Deimos about the drug, they confronted Kate, who admitted kidnapping Tate in hopes that Victor and Deimos would blame each other and both would come to a deadly end. When Clyde was transferred to a different prison, his new cellmate turned out to be Roman's supposedly dead former ISA partner, Orpheus. Clyde introduced Xander to Orpheus, and the three, who are out for revenge, planned a prison break. Chad agreed to give Lucas and Adrienne temporary custody of Thomas. Laura told Jennifer that Abigail had PTSD, made worse by drugs she was given at Shady Hills, leading to her death. Eve returned for Theresa's bachelorette party.
 
9/12/16-9/16/16: Clyde, Orpheus and Xander escaped when a guard (Eduardo) took out a fourth prisoner (who had threatened his family) in the transport van, which crashed while taking the prisoners to another jail. Before Theresa and Brady's wedding could get underway, Orpheus, using Eve as a hostage, held a gun on the wedding guests at the Kiriakis mansion. John was shot trying to take the gun from Orpheus, who escaped. Xander, who attempted to strangle Theresa (for falsely accusing him of attempted rape), ran off when Brady arrived. Nicole learned that she's on Xander's hit list. Steve and Kayla, who recovered from surgery, learned that Orpheus escaped. Victor told Kate that everyone believed his false story about drug dealer Titus kidnapping Tate to get revenge against Victor and Deimos, and his later supposed death. Clyde tormented Kate. Belle and Shawn moved to Hong Kong.
 
9/19/16-9/23/16: Steve brought Kayla home from the hospital. When he returned from getting meds for her, he found that Orpheus and Clyde had Kayla and Joey bound and gagged. Steve was shot (he was wearing a bullet-proof vest) when he tried to overtake Orpheus and Clyde, who urged Orpheus to kill Kayla and Joey. While Steve was out cold, Orpheus, Clyde and Xander grabbed Joey and took off. Eduardo told John that he'd unintentionally allowed Orpheus, Clyde and Xander to escape the police transport van when he killed the prisoner who threatened to murder Eduardo's family. Dario broke into Chloe's room and got the date of her next doctor's appointment for Deimos, who thinks the baby is his. Chloe's doctor was forced to comply when Deimos provided a court order for a paternity test on the baby. Chad and Gabi were trapped in the mansion panic room during a blackout caused by the explosion.
 
9/26/16-9/30/16: Chloe was happy when Kate was able to get Dr. Wright, who owes her a favor, to see that the paternity test on Chloe's baby shows that Philip, not Deimos, is the father. Chloe admitted to Nicole that the paternity test had been tampered with just before Dr. Wright told Philip and Deimos the "results." Nicole comforted Deimos, who is sure that the test results are wrong. Orpheus took the gun that Kate had taken from Clyde. Marlena and Claire came upon the scene and were threatened by Orpheus. John arrived and reached for Clyde's gun, which went off, hitting Orpheus in the stomach. Clyde got Orpheus back to their hideout, where Xander guarded Joey. Orpheus called John and said that he, Xander and Clyde, who have Joey, had also taken Claire hostage. John and Steve teamed up in an attempt to rescue Joey and Claire.

10/3/16-10/7/16: Hope initially refused when Aiden said that he wants a second chance with her, until he said that he has a recording of her talking to Rafe and Roman about having killed Stefano. Aiden warned Hope that Rafe and Roman would go down with her if he reveals that she killed Stefano. When Hope broke up with Rafe, he realized that Aiden is blackmailing her over Stefano's death. Chloe told Philip that she no longer needed his help now that Deimos believes Philip is her baby's father. Chloe told Nicole that she and Parker would be moving to New York City to live with her parents. John and Steve rescued Claire, who lamented the fact that Joey is still being held hostage by Orpheus, Clyde and Xander. Claire and Ciara worried that Theo, who disappeared, could be going after Clyde, who shot Abe while attempting to hit Aiden. Andre convinced Chad to help him take over DiMera Enterprises.
 
10/10/16-10/14/16: Unable to deal with having killed Stefano, Hope told a stunned Jennifer what she had done. Hope also told Jennifer that Aiden knows she killed Stefano and is using it to blackmail her. Later, Aiden pressured Hope to go on a date with him. Kayla was relieved that Joey was not injured after John and JJ rescued him from Clyde, who got away. After doing psychological profiles on Clyde, Xander and Orpheus, Marlena recruited John, Kayla, Steve, Deimos, Nicole, Chad, Kate, Adrienne, Brady and Theresa to put together a plan to bring down the escaped convicts before they hurt anyone. All hell broke out as Clyde, Xander and Orpheus were confronted by the people they had planned to get revenge against. Sonny rescued Paul, and Eduardo got an injured Dario to the hospital. Brady and Theresa finally said their "I do's" at an impromptu wedding.
 
10/17/16-10/21/16: Orpheus lured John, Marlena, Hope and Jennifer to the Brady Pub, where he had set a bomb under a table. Jennifer came down from the pub's upper story with a bomb strapped to her by one of Orpheus' thugs. Hope called Rafe, who was able to defuse the bomb on Jennifer. Orpheus forced John to put $20 million into his bank account and then aimed a gun at John's head, but Steve came to the rescue. John and Steve took Orpheus to the police station, where he took Marlena hostage and then, to avoid prison, committed suicide by downing a fatal drug he took from her medical bag. After foiling Roman's attempt to catch Xander on the docks, Deimos arranged to send Xander to Greece, where he will start working for Deimos. Deimos told Roman, Brady, Theresa and Nicole that he killed Xander with his own gun and his body fell off the pier into the water. Clyde was arrested.
 
10/24/16-10/28/16: With the escaped convicts taken care of, things in Salem got back to normal (sort of) with a DiMera-sponsored Halloween charity fundraiser. Aiden forced Hope to go on a date with him, and when she refused to dance with him, he played the recording on his cellphone of her admitting that she killed Stefano. Hope refused to do what Aiden wanted anymore. Realizing that he was becoming a monster, a confused Aiden took Chase and left for Oregon. Abe, who is still recovering from a bullet wound, underwent surgery performed by Valerie Grant, with whom he shared a romantic past, after Kayla talked her into coming to Salem. Kayla and Steve decided to start over with their relationship. Victor announced that he is retiring and will soon decide who he wants to succeed him as head of Titan.
 
10/31/16-11/4/16: During the Halloween charity event, Andre played Aiden's copy of Hope's recorded confession that she killed Stefano (Andre stole it from Aiden's hotel room) on the public address system. Roman broke up a tussle between Rafe and Andre, who accused Hope of premeditated murder. Hope was later arrested. To protect Rafe and Roman, who had covered for her, Hope confessed to killing Stefano just as Stefano's son Chad arrived. Orpheus, with help from Lazlo, had faked his death from a supposed lethal injection with a drug he took from Marlena's medical bag. Orpheus then took Marlena and Kayla hostage, bound them with ropes, put them in separate coffins and planned to set them on fire. John and Steve rescued Marlena and Kayla on a tip from Andre, and Orpheus was shot dead in a struggle over a gun. Deimos pressured Chloe's mom, Nancy, to reveal where Chloe is hiding.

11/7/16-11/11/16: Chloe agreed to another paternity test on her baby at Deimos' insistence, and the result proved he wasn't her baby's father. Chloe falsely told Nicole that she had gotten pregnant after a one-night-stand with a stranger. Later, Chloe told Philip the truth -- years ago she had agreed to be a surrogate for Nicole and Daniel but it didn't work, then last year she and Daniel secretly agreed to try again using Nicole's frozen embryos and that she learned she was pregnant just after Daniel died. Chloe hasn't told Nicole because she doesn't want Deimos in the baby's life. Theresa told her mother, Kimberly, that Mateo, a drug lord she met as a teenager, has made threats against Brady and Tate if she doesn't go back to Mexico with him. Before her arraignment, Hope told Andre that she would not contest charges that she killed Victor, as long as Andre doesn't bring down Rafe and Roman with her.
 
11/14/16-11/18/16: Andre caught Abigail, who returned to check on her son, Thomas. Andre hid Abigail in a secret tunnel in the DiMera mansion when Chad entered the baby's room. Andre reminded Abigail that he'd helped her "disappear" after her escape from Shady Hills so she wouldn't be a problem for Chad or anyone else. Abigail revived Jennifer, who fainted after seeing her supposedly deceased daughter. Kayla revived Theresa and Victor arranged for her to be secretly hospitalized after her overdose suicide attempt. Theresa's parents, Shane and Kimberly, agreed to see that Brady would leave Theresa and take Tate for fear that Mateo would harm them. Theresa then left Salem. Justin tried to get leniency for Hope, but the judge threw the book at her and she was taken away to prison. Justin returned just as Adrienne was about to marry Lucas. Jade told a stunned Joey that she's pregnant.
 
11/21/16-11/25/16: Adrienne's ex-husband Justin showed up just before Adrienne and Lucas were going to say their "I do's," and insisted that Adrienne still loves him. Along with their son, Sonny, Justin encouraged Adrienne to call off her and Lucas' wedding. An upset Adrienne postponed the nuptials and ran out of the room. Sonny and Philip then broke up a fistfight between Lucas and Justin. Abigail insisted to Jennifer that she has to stay hidden from everyone. Abigail didn't agree when Jennifer said that Chad would forgive Abigail for deserting him and baby Thomas. Steve and Kayla are suspicious of Jade's claim that she is pregnant by Joey, who decided he has to do the right thing and quit college, get a job and take care of Jade and the baby. JJ told Rafe that he had cheated on Gabi while in Florida looking for Abigail. Theo was upset when his father, Abe, went on a date with Valerie.
 
11/28/16-12/2/16: Roman, Kayla, Kimberly and Caroline went to Bo's grave and shared memories of him on the anniversary of his death. Shawn and Ciara visited Hope in prison, as she couldn't go to Bo's grave, and gave her a family photo. Rafe also visited Hope, who wanted to show him the photo that Shawn and Ciara had given her and was shocked to see that someone had cut off the top of it. Kayla was furious with Jade, who announced during the family Thanksgiving dinner that she was pregnant with Joey's baby. A test from the hospital lab showed that Jade isn't lying about the pregnancy. Adrienne had a medical crisis and was hospitalized just as she was about to decide whether she wants to be with Justin or Lucas. JJ was stunned to find Abigail alive and hiding in the Horton house attic. Theo was upset that Valerie accepted a job at University Hospital and thus will be staying in Salem.

12/5/16-12/9/16: Hope got the upper hand when a new prisoner, Callie, tried to stab her with a shiv. Later, when Chille said that someone on the outside is paying her to protect Hope, Hope realized that it was Deimos. Victor heard Deimos on the phone with Chille and realized that Deimos is paying her to protect Hope. Deimos said he was helping Hope because he, not Stefano, killed Bo. Victor reminded Deimos that he didn't kill Bo -- cancer did. With Kate's help, Shawn and Rafe found out Stefano knew he was dying, and set out to find proof that Stefano goaded Hope into killing him. After Theo fixed Valerie's frozen cellphone, he saw a text from someone named Eli. After showing Ciara a screen-grab of the text, the duo bought the equipment they needed to spy on Valerie. Brady was surprised to see Theresa's Aunt Eve, who returned to spend time with Tate. Adrienne learned that test results show she has breast cancer.
 
12/12/16-12/16/16: Brady caught Deimos, who admitted to having Philip kidnapped and injected with truth serum, in order to get him to admit that Chloe is really carrying Nicole and Daniel's baby. Deimos realized that Chloe kept it a secret because he is involved with Nicole, and Chloe doesn't want him near the child. Abigail decided that she has to tell Chad and Thomas that she is alive, but suffered a panic attack on her way to see Chad. Jennifer didn't tell anyone that Abigail is alive when Chad said he was planning a memorial service for her. Jennifer, who had been addicted to pills, assured Brady that the pills she was carrying were just antidepressants to help her cope with Abigail's "death." For Hope's appeal, Chad and Rafe looked for proof that Stefano had goaded Hope into killing him. Derrick asked Paul if he has feelings for Sonny. Roman agreed to check into Hattie's story about being framed for embezzlement.
 
12/19/16-12/23/16: Philip said goodbye to Victor before leaving Salem, and then stopped in Chicago to visit Chloe and remind her that he would always be there for her. After Philip left, Chloe was stunned to see Nicole, who wanted to mend fences, and they agreed to resolve their conflict over Deimos and be friends again. During a snowstorm, Chloe went into labor. Unaware that the baby is hers and Daniel's, Nicole helped Chloe give birth in a seedy motel. Brady arrived to help just after Chloe asked Nicole to name the baby. After seeing Chad and Gabi kissing, Abigail told Jennifer that she was leaving town. Abigail sneaked into the DiMera mansion to say goodbye to her son, Thomas, and was caught by a stunned Chad. Kate took Adrienne to her chemo session. Abe's daughter, Lani, is in town. In a Christmas Eve tradition, the Horton family hung their ornaments on the Christmas tree.
 
12/26/16-12/30/16: At the prison, Hope rescued Annabelle, who was being threatened by Coco and Sheila. Chillie arrived as Coco and Sheila were planning to teach Hope a lesson for interfering with their plans for Annabelle. Later, Hope was stunned to find Chillie dead with a knife in her chest, and knew Coco and Sheila were responsible, but professed ignorance to a guard. Brady wanted to tell Nicole that comatose Chloe's "baby," Holly, is actually her and Daniel's child, but realized that he can't until he and Deimos find proof of the baby's paternity. Brady suspects that Chloe's mother, Nancy, knows the truth. Gabi was stunned to see Abigail when she went to tell Chad that she'd heard that Abigail is alive. When Chad told Abigail things wouldn't be the way they were, she ran off. Suspecting that Stefano is alive, Rafe had Stefano's body exhumed. Claire and Ciara accused Jade of getting pregnant in order to trap Joey.

1/2/17-1/6/17: At the prison, Rafe told Hope that he believes Stefano may be alive, and if he is, then Hope, who is in prison for killing him, would eventually be freed. Rafe, Steve, Paul and Marlena headed for Prague after learning of a Stefano sighting there. Chad told Andre that he didn't want to hear anything about Stefano's status. Before leaving, Rafe visited Hope in the prison infirmary after she had been stabbed in a fight with Coco and Sheila. Steve and Kayla consoled Joey after Jade had a miscarriage. Gabi told JJ that she was done with him for good after learning he betrayed her by sleeping with Lani. Brady, who looked for proof that Nicole is baby Holly's real mother, was unaware that Chloe's mother, Nancy, switched out the baby's DNA sample. Kate kept mum after learning that Eduardo had stolen some microchips from DiMera Enterprises. Valerie confronted Theo for putting a "bug" in her purse.
 
1/9/17-1/13/17: In Prague, Steve, Marlena, Rafe and Paul spilt up to look for Stefano. At a cafe, Marlena and Paul saw a man who resembled Stefano, but someone shot at him and he ran off. Paul went after the man, and Marlena caught the female shooter, who turned out to be Anna DiMera (Tony's widow). Anna and Marlena were arrested but later released thanks to Anna's daughter Carrie and her husband, Austin. A prison employee, Chet, chloroformed Hope and took her out of the prison. Thinking she was in danger, Hope punched Chet, who accidentally shoved her, knocking her out. Chet, who thought he'd killed Hope, ran off. Brady was not happy that Nicole accepted Deimos' marriage proposal. Chloe came out of her stroke-induced coma and told her mom, Nancy, that they need to tell Nicole that she is Holly's biological mother. After losing their baby, Jade broke up with Joey.
 
1/16/17-1/20/17: Eric, who is suffering from feelings of guilt, has been in seclusion since his release from prison for accidentally killing Daniel while driving drunk. As fate would have it, Eric found Hope lying on the side of the road where the prison employee left her after believing that he had killed her. Eric took Hope to the farmhouse where he is living, but she took off while Eric was talking to a police officer who had knocked on the farmhouse door. Eric found Hope and convinced her to let him treat her for an infection she'd contracted. In Prague, Rafe, Marlena, Steve and Paul arranged a meeting with an arms dealer who reportedly knew Stefano. As a man thought to be Stefano got out of a car, crazy Anna, who escaped from Carrie, arrived on the scene and fired a shot at the man, but only managed to wound Steve. Chloe decided to tell Nicole that she is Holly’s mother, but changed her mind when she heard Deimos threaten to kill Andre.
 
1/23/17-1/27/17: Brady pressured Chloe until she finally admitted that Nicole is really Holly’s biological mother. Brady continued insisting that Chloe tell Nicole about Holly, despite Chloe’s distress over Nicole’s involvement with Deimos. In the park, Deimos met with a person who sold him a key that (supposedly) makes the Orwell device work. Meanwhile, a hit man hired by Dario sneaked up on Deimos and prepared to kill him. Nicole saw the hit man, grabbed a nearby knife and stabbed him. At the hospital, Deimos told Nicole that the hit man survived surgery. After Nicole was taken to the police station, Brady told her that she is Holly’s mother just as Chloe entered the room with Holly. Chloe later hired Belle, who returned to visit Claire, to make sure that Nicole doesn’t get custody of Holly. Eric doctored Hope when her wound became infected. The search for Stefano continued.
 
1/30/17-2/3/17: When Hope’s condition took a turn for the worse, Eric went to University Hospital to get medication for her, where he ran into Jennifer. After Eric told Jennifer that he had been released from prison, she agreed not to tell anyone that she'd seen him. On his way to the farmhouse, Eric found a delirious Hope wandering on the road and got her to the farmhouse, where he gave her the medication she needed. Paul reluctantly agreed to Marlena’s plan to catch Stefano by attending a masquerade ball that she knows Stefano wouldn’t miss. Paul contacted Sonny to help with the scheme by getting them into the ball. Brady broke up a fight between Nicole and Chloe over Holly, whom Chloe vowed would never be raised by Deimos. Raines assigned Lani to be JJ’s partner on the case of the hit man, who (threatened by Deimos) wouldn’t reveal who had stabbed him. (It was Nicole.) Deimos threatened to kill Gabi if Chad doesn’t give him the Orwell device.
 
2/6/17-2/10/17: In Prague, Paul was surprised to see Sonny, who arrived in person with tickets to the masquerade ball and revealed that the Prague Group would be his guests at the ball. At the ball, Stefano, dressed as the Phantom of the Opera, walked up to Marlena just as the lights went out and subsequently disappeared. The Group eventually captured Stefano, who was jailed, but escaped before he could be returned to Salem. Since the Group has proof that Stefano is alive, the murder charge against Hope will be dropped, but she faces charges for the prison break. Chloe refused when Brady begged her to drop her custody suit for Holly, because she is sure that Nicole will reunite with Deimos. Andre, Kate and Eduardo searched for Chad and Gabi, whom Deimos took hostage in order to get the Orwell device. Steve and Kayla planned a Valentine’s wedding. Sonny and Paul spent some time alone in Prague.
 
2/13/17-2/17/17: Hope returned to Salem after learning that the charges against her for Stefano's murder were dropped and that she is free, but must face charges for her prison escape. Eric refused to return to Salem with Hope. Everyone was surprised when Rafe brought Hope to Steve and Kayla’s Valentine’s Day remarriage ceremony. In Prague, Steve and Shane recalled removing Stefano’s body from the coffin months ago and replacing it with another body, and with Shane disguised as Stefano, pulling off their scheme to make it seem like Stefano was alive to help Hope get on with her life. As Steve and Shane looked at surveillance photos of “Stefano” feeding some birds, they worried that Stefano may really be alive, as it wasn’t Shane in the photo. Adrienne, Jennifer, Anne and Shane’s twin, Drew, plan to delete the Orwell spyware program from Titan’s computers. Julie was told that her estranged son, David, had died.
 
2/20/17-2/24/17: Valerie was stunned when her FBI agent son, Eli, crashed the funeral for Julie’s son David, who died in a motorcycle accident. Valerie was shocked when Eli said that he knows David was his father. Eli told Valerie that he didn’t know if he wanted to tell Julie that she is his grandmother. Marlena comforted Valerie, who panicked when Marlena asked if David’s son Scott Banning knew about his father’s death. Nicole told Deimos that she was through with him after losing custody of Holly to Chloe, in part because he had tried to bribe the judge. Deimos told Justin that he kidnapped Chad and Gabi as they tried to steal the Orwell device. Paul and JJ learned that Andre and Eduardo had kidnapped Sonny, who they later rescued. Abigail was part of Chad and Gabi’s rescue. Jennifer and Adrienne had hidden the "key” to the Orwell device, which Shane, with Drew’s help, managed to destroy.
 
2/27/17-3/3/17: Nicole chloroformed Chloe and kidnapped Holly after pleading with Chloe to give Holly to her. Deimos went after Nicole while Brady tended to Chloe, who put out an Amber Alert for Holly. Marlena convinced Jennifer to try to get Eric to return to Salem, but Eric, who still feels guilty about causing Daniel’s death, refused. Gabi agreed to let Eduardo back her new business as a lifestyle coach after Dario said that neither he nor Eduardo would try to take control of it. Gabi was upset after seeing JJ and Lani, whom she also saw kiss, out on a date. Sonny asked Victor to let him take over Deimos’ former position in the Kiriakis family, and also informed Brady that he plans to take on Deimos. Hope was reinstated on the police force, but wasn’t happy when Roman retired, which put Det. Raines in charge. Kayla told Jade and Joey that Jade’s father, Hal, needs a liver transplant.

3/6/17-3/10/17: Kayla assured Steve that she would help him after he said that he'd discovered that he and Ava had a son he knew nothing about and now plans to find. After Steve and Kayla told Joey about his possible half-brother, Joey worried about the fact that he had killed Ava, but Steve reminded Joey that no one other than them and Jade know what he did, as Steve took the blame for killing her. Eli pressured Valerie into telling Julie that her son David is Eli’s father. Julie was angry with Valerie for not telling her about Eli. Brady denied Chloe’s suspicion that he helped Nicole kidnap Holly. Brady, with help from Paul, who'd traced a call made to Dr. Lee, found where Nicole was staying. A fellow hotel guest named Tiffany ran an errand for Nicole and told her sketchy boyfriend that Nicole has a lot of money on her. Eric refused Jennifer’s job offer.
 
3/13/17-3/17/17: Deimos walked into Nicole’s hotel room as she and Brady were about to take Holly and leave for Canada. Nicole and Brady insisted that they are just friends when Deimos accused her of being in love with Brady. Nicole made it clear that she doesn’t love Deimos and reminded him that she wouldn’t be on the run if he hadn't ruined her chance to get custody of Holly by trying to bribe the judge. Jennifer warned Chad not to cheat on Abigail after he admitted that he still has feelings for Gabi. Gabi, who knows Dario has it bad for Abigail, warned him that Abigail will never have romantic feelings for him. Eric made plans to return to Salem and accepted Jennifer’s job offer at the Horton Center. Marlena got Eric to advise a young man who had driven drunk and caused an accident, like Eric had. Steve and Kayla left for Arizona to find his and Ava’s son, Tripp. Joey told Jade that they can only be friends.
 
3/20/17-3/24/17: Adrienne’s family gathered around her for support as she prepared to have her double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Chad admitted to Abigail that he has lingering feelings for Gabi (resulting from their near deaths while kidnapped), but assured Abigail that she is the one he loves. Later, Chad found Abigail and Gabi, who’d been kidnapped by Deimos -- who demanded that Chad decide which woman he wants to be with. Paul, JJ and Dario, who secretly loves Abigail, searched for Abigail, Gabi and Chad. Brady got Nicole and Holly settled into a new hideout in Canada, where they were welcomed by a neighbor, Hillary. After Brady returned to Salem, Nicole worried that Hillary, who is a private eye, will learn she is on the run. Maggie told Eric she misses Daniel (who was killed in a drunk-driving accident caused by Eric), but urged Eric to make the best of his second chance at life.
 
3/27/17-3/31/17: A DNA test proved that Steve and Ava are Tripp’s biological parents. Tripp revealed that he had run away years ago because his adoptive father frequently beat him. Tripp was impressed with Joey’s apartment, and learned that Steve and Kayla pay for it. Covering for Joey, Steve told Tripp the same story he'd told the police about how he killed Ava. Joey, Steve, Kayla and Tripp were in the apartment when Jade collapsed after overdosing on her pain pills. Eduardo and Dario rescued Chad, Gabi and Abigail after Deimos, who had poisoned Abigail and Gabi, took off. Abigail was OK, but Gabi, who was unconscious, was taken to the hospital, where she awoke after Chad said that he and Arianna needed her. Chad and Eduardo vowed to make Deimos pay for his nefarious actions. In Canada, Nicole was shocked when Brady returned and said that he loves her and Holly.

4/3/17-4/7/17: Nicole worried when her next-door neighbor Hillary said that her husband, Scooter, is into Internet porn. Brady, who knows about Nicole’s past, thought it unlikely that Scooter would recognize Nicole, who went by the name Misty Circle when she did porn films. Brady confronted Scooter, who told Nicole that he knows who she is, and will keep mum if she makes his “fantasies come true.” Chad refused when Kate wanted him to choose to be with Gabi and not renew marriage vows with Abigail, who overheard Kate. Chad told an insecure Abigail that he loves her. Lani and JJ were not happy when Eli, who is with the FBI, said that he was taking over the case against the DiMera, Kiriakis and Hernandez families since the SPD had made no arrests. Tripp learned that he is the heir to the Vitali family fortune. Unaware that Sonny plans to take him down, Deimos named him CEO of Basic Black .
 
4/10/17-4/14/17: On an anonymous tip, Rafe and Hope recorded a meeting in which a man gave Eduardo stolen bonds worth millions. In return, Eduardo gave the man fake bonds that the man planned to use in Eastern Europe. A stunned Rafe refused when Eduardo wanted him to “forget” what had happened. After his arrest, Eduardo said goodbye to Kate and to his son, Dario, who blasted Rafe (his brother) for arresting their father. Gabi told Eduardo that stealing bonds was not the way to help his family. Dario told Gabi he was going to make Deimos pay for setting up Eduardo. Kayla and Steve are determined to make Tripp see that Ava was not the good person she appears to be in DVDs she made for Tripp years ago. Abigail and Chad’s renewal ceremony didn’t take place after Abigail admitted she knew Dario loved her, and that Chad has feelings for Gabi.
 
4/17/17-4/21/17: Marlena raced off to be reunited with John, who has been away on a mystery assignment for six months. At a motel, John told Marlena that he was still working the case, but couldn’t stay away from her any longer. After making love and getting caught up, John told Marlena that he had to leave again to work on his case, but would soon be coming home for good. Marlena was furious when she ran into Eli in the park with Gabi, and quickly reminded him that Gabi had killed Nick. Marlena passed out while arguing with Gabi and was hospitalized. Marlena didn’t accept Gabi’s apology for upsetting her, and the two threatened each other. Chad tried to talk to Abigail, who walked out on him “so he could be with Gabi.” Fearing Scooter lured Nicole to a motel, Brady went after her, but found Scooter and Hillary in bed. Eric told Chloe to patch things up with Nicole for Holly’s sake.
 
4/24/17-4/28/17: Both now ready to move on from their past, Brady and Nicole made love. Brady agreed when Nicole didn’t want to leave Canada and said that they could stay longer, but would eventually have to move on. Maggie failed to stop Deimos from searching for Nicole and Holly. After getting a lead on Nicole’s whereabouts, Deimos told Victor that he was going after her. In Canada, a masked man with a gun who broke into Nicole and Brady’s home turned out to be Xander, who is out for revenge. As Brady and Xander struggled over the gun, it went off. Chad told Gabi that he tried to patch things up with Abigail, but she insisted they were over for good. Lani kept JJ in the dark about her undercover work, in which she came in contact with Snake, who is a pimp. Tripp helped Kayla with a medical emergency involving Roman, who had collapsed. Paul asked Sonny to move in with him.

5/1/17-5/5/17: Kayla was hesitant to tell Tripp just how evil his mother Ava really was when he quizzed her about what Ava had done to her. Kayla was careful about what she told Tripp about his mother, but in the end, Tripp realized that Kayla hated Ava. Tripp later told his cousin Angelo that he thinks Steve confessed to killing Ava as a cover for Kayla, who really did the deed. Xander abducted Nicole and Holly, and left Brady for dead after he was shot struggling for control of a gun. Xander reported to Deimos that he did his bidding and has Nicole and Holly. Deimos, who plans to “rescue” Nicole and Holly, told Xander to take the pair to Deimos’ private island in Greece. Getting Nicole and Brady’s location from Deimos’ thug, Lyle, Sonny and Paul found Brady, got him to a hospital, and told him that Tate is fine. JJ went after Lani, who left to meet a dangerous drug dealer.
 
5/8/17-5/12/17: After getting a tip, Eric boarded a plane and headed to Greek island in search of Nicole and Holly. On the island, Xander, who is living in one of Victor’s villas, kept Nicole locked in a cage when she wasn't tending to Holly, and vowed that someday he would get revenge on everyone who ever wronged him. Eric escaped from a drunken Xander and got Holly to the plane, but ran into Xander when he went back to the villa for Nicole. Determined to get Nicole back, Deimos headed for the villa. Hope followed Chad, who also went to Greece with the intention of obtaining a stolen amulet that Deimos wants as well. Because of his heart condition and his gunshot wound, Valerie put Brady on a list for a new heart. Marlena was upset that she couldn’t reach John to tell him about Brady. Gabi was upset that Eduardo pleaded guilty to his crimes and will be in prison for years.
 
5/15/17-5/19/17: Abigail cried on Dario’s shoulder after telling him that she had filed for divorce from Chad. Abigail apologized to Dario, but he insisted it was OK and said that he knows she only thinks of him as a friend. In Greece, Chad was stunned to get word that Abigail had filed for a divorce, and refused Hope’s suggestion that he call her, because he believes she is moving on with Dario. As Chad was thinking about good times with Abigail, a supposedly cursed amulet that he had purchased from a mystery man fell out of his jacket pocket. Back in Salem, Dario, who was born in Mexico and is about to be deported, proposed to Abigail, because marrying an American citizen would prevent his deportation. With permission from the ISA, John returned to Salem to be with Brady, whose condition worsened. Jade gave Tripp a number of reasons why Kayla would have killed Ava.
 
5/22/17-5/26/17: Prepared to die, Brady, whose condition took a big downturn, said emotional goodbyes to Marlena and John and to his infant son, Tate, and then lapsed into a coma. In Greece, Eli, Hope, JJ, Lani, Paul and Sonny learned that Deimos was behind Nicole and Eric’s kidnapping. The group forced one of Deimos’ thugs to give up where Nicole and Eric are being held, and later arrived at the villa. Hope, who didn’t believe Deimos’ claim that he came to “rescue” Nicole, arrested him and took him back to Salem. Sonny was happy when Victor named him the new CEO of Titan after Sonny revealed that Deimos was headed for prison. After obtaining the amulet, Paul, JJ, Lani, Eli, Chad and Gabi boarded Sonny’s plane, which ended up crashing on an island. Nicole and Eric, who realized that Xander worked for Deimos, made plans to return to Salem. Betrayed by both Wyatt and Theo, Ciara left Salem.
 
5/29/17-6/2/17: Nicole and Eric, with baby Holly, sneaked into Salem and learned that Brady was on the brink of dying. Jennifer stood guard at Brady’s hospital room, while letting Eric and later Nicole and Holly into the room. Placing baby Holly on Brady’s chest, Nicole begged him not to die. Nicole was elated when Brady suddenly came out of his coma and opened his eyes. Chloe, who had also paid Brady a visit, saw Eric and realized that Nicole was also back in Salem. Chloe went to Rafe, who was forced to arrest Nicole for kidnapping Holly, and Eric for aiding and abetting Nicole. A triumphant Chloe then reclaimed custody of Holly. Rafe and Hope were forced to free Deimos after learning that there was no evidence he kidnapped Nicole and that Xander hadn't turned against him. Deimos vowed revenge after Justin said that he was no longer CEO of Titan. Those trapped on the island could not contact help.

6/5/17-6/9/17: Dario told Abigail that the Kiriakis jet crashed and that Chad had been aboard. On the island, Chad, Gabi, JJ, Lani, Eli and Sonny realized that Paul had contracted a brain fever after being bitten by a mosquito. Paul became violent, knocked out Eli and hit Gabi over the head with a rock, rendering her unconscious. Sonny threatened Eli when he suggested that the group needed to kill Paul before he killed them. An unseen Paul, who was feverish, sweating and had distorted vision, held a knife while staring at the group. After learning about the plane crash from Andre, Kate realized that someone needed to take over DiMera Enterprises, since Chad was CEO. Because Andre can’t take control, Kate asked Andre to make her a DiMera by marrying her, allowing her to run DiMera Enterprises. Dario asked Abigail to marry him so he wouldn’t be deported to Mexico, where he would be killed.
 
6/12/17-6/16/17: At Nicole’s hearing for kidnapping Holly, Eric begged Chloe to help Nicole because she is Holly’s birth mother and loves the child as much as Chloe does. Chloe spoke up as the judge was about to sentence Nicole, saying that she didn’t want Nicole to go to jail and that she understood why Nicole took Holly. The judge sentenced Nicole to community service, but Chloe still has custody of Holly. Brady, who was released from the hospital, urged Nicole to forgive Eric for accidentally killing Daniel, but she wasn’t receptive to the idea. The group on the island found a missing Sonny, whom Paul had knocked out. Paul was in shock when he realized how violent he has been. Also on the island, Chad and Gabi made love. Andre and Kate tied the marital knot, allowing her to run DiMera Enterprises in Chad’s absence. Justin’s ex-wife Anjelica returned to town and is out for revenge against Adrienne.
 
6/19/17-6/23/17: On the island, everyone was thrilled to see Marlena and John, who had been dropped on the island from a plane. Paul got himself untied and threatened to shoot someone, but ended up passing out. Learning that Paul has brain fever, Marlena gave him a sedative that would last until they got him to a hospital. Sonny dug up the amulet, which Chad had buried on the island. Back in Salem, Chad and Gabi told Rafe about their romance. Seeing Chad and Gabi kissing, Abigail told Chad that she is divorcing him. Chad learned that Abigail plans to marry Dario. Chloe signed custody of Holly over to Nicole and moved to New York, but Nicole learned that she could still lose Holly. Deimos vowed revenge after Victor gave Sonny control of Titan. Tripp plans to make it look like Kayla is killing hospital patients. Adrienne learned that Anjelica is out to get revenge against her.
 
6/26/17-6/30/17: At a party for those rescued from the island, a disguised Deimos put the drug Halo 2.0 in their drinks, which made everyone react romantically. Lani and Eli kissed, Chad and Abigail thought they were still married and Rafe proposed to Hope. Paul, who didn’t drink anything, along with Gabi, Chad and Abigail, recognized Deimos. The next morning, Deimos’ dead body (he was stabbed) fell from behind a curtain and landed on Gabi. Detective Raines realized that he had numerous murder suspects to interview. Jennifer broke up a fight between Adrienne and Anjelica, who threatened to take over The Spectator newspaper if Jennifer and Adrienne don’t repay a loan she gave them. After a patient died, Tripp tampered with Kayla’s computer so it appeared that she killed the man by prescribing too much morphine. Paul was upset to learn that Sonny has the amulet, which is cursed.

7/3/17-7/7/17: After those at the party whom Deimos had drugged came around, they learned that Deimos had been stabbed to death. Lani told the police that she saw JJ attack Deimos. In the interrogation room, Raines told JJ that the blood on his shirt was from Deimos, and JJ was later charged with murder. Under hypnosis, JJ remembered going to look for Deimos and struggling with him, but didn't remember killing him. Jennifer and Abigail stood by JJ, who worried that he could have killed Deimos while under the effects of the Halo 2.0 drug. Sonny told Paul that he is worried he may have killed Deimos because he has a memory of seeing Deimos with a knife in his chest. Tripp’s latest scheme against Kayla would have caused Hope’s death if he hadn’t stopped it. Rafe proposed to Hope for real after getting permission from Roman and Victor and Hope’s father, Doug, and she accepted.
 
7/10/17-7/14/17: Justin and Lt. Raines questioned Sonny, who told them that he remembered killing Deimos. Realizing that Sonny’s confession came from a vague memory after having been drugged, Lt. Raines didn’t have enough to charge him. Later, a waiter at the party said that he'd heard Sonny say that Deimos got what he deserved while looking down at Deimos’ body. Lt. Raines arrested Sonny, and JJ was released. JJ, who doesn’t think that Sonny killed Deimos, teamed up with Hope, Rafe and Lani to investigate the murder. Xander’s name came up during their sleuthing. Steve and Kayla are looking for the real reason behind Anjelica's presence in Salem. After Dario and Abigail said their “I do’s,” she decided to find out for herself if he is involved in a money laundering scheme. Steve and Kayla are trying to put a stop to Anjelica’s vendetta against Adrienne. Tripp had second thoughts about ruining Kayla’s medical career.
 
7/17/17-7/21/17: With help from Andre and Theo’s computer hacking skills, Abigail learned that Dario is involved in a money laundering scam. Theo agreed not to report Dario to Abe, but did tell Chad, who offered to help bring down Dario. However, Abigail wanted to deal with Dario on her own. Later, Hope and Rafe, who were investigating Dario, arrested him. Dario told Abigail that he did everything for her when she confronted him. Lani agreed to work with Eli, whom the FBI assigned to find out if one of the Salem crime families is behind the counterfeit bills showing up in the area. Per Justin’s request, Marlena hypnotized Sonny, who remembered finding and moving Deimos’ body, but Paul insisted that this didn't prove that Sonny killed Deimos. Puzzled when Xander’s prints were found on a magazine and phone charger, Rafe and Hope went to Greece to and questioned Xander, who is in a Greek prison.
 
7/24/17-7/28/17: Marlena look-alike Hattie is in cahoots with Anjelica to get revenge against Adrienne. As part of the plan, Hattie convinced Adrienne look-alike Bonnie, whom she met when they both were in prison, to help with the plan since Bonnie wants revenge on a laundry list of people in Salem she thinks did her wrong. Hattie’s pal Chet then smuggled Bonnie out of prison. Paul and John were skeptical when Xander said Victor got him out of prison so that he could kill Deimos, but Paul and John questioned why Xander ended up back in prison after doing the deed for Victor. Brady told Victor his lying that he killed Deimos to get Sonny out of jail would not work, adding that they will find Deimos’ real killer. Maggie gave Nicole new photos of Holly and said Nicole will someday regain custody of her baby. Chad is unaware Abigail is leaving town with Dario because he threatened her.
 
7/31/17-8/4/17: Abigail was critically injured when she pushed Chad out of the way of a speeding car. Dario, who later went into witness protection, ran off after telling Chad that he was the one the driver had intended to kill. Gabi told Chad that Abigail married Dario so that he wouldn’t be deported. Chad realized that Abigail tried to protect him after Andre revealed that Dario had a photo of Chad standing over Deimos’ body. Tripp fumed when Kayla, who was suspended for supposedly making medical mistakes with her patients, was reinstated due to lack of proof that she did anything wrong. Steve was suspicious of Tripp, who taunted Kayla about his mother, Ava, dying under her care. As per her plan to have Roman, Hattie disguised herself as Marlena after drugging Marlena and checking her into Bayview Sanitarium. Victor hatched a plan to keep Sonny from taking the fall for Deimos’ death.

8/7/17-8/11/17: Steve tried to talk down Tripp, who held a scalpel to Kayla’s throat. After Steve lied that he'd killed Tripp’s mother, Ava, to protect her, Kayla lied to Tripp that she'd killed Ava because of all the things Ava had done to Kayla’s family. Joey entered the room, and seeing Tripp threatening Kayla with a scalpel, he confessed to killing Ava. Steve, Kayla and Joey told Tripp that they loved him. Tripp decided to leave Salem. Paul told Sonny that Victor was behind Deimos’ murder. Victor told Brady that he'd hired Xander to kill Deimos, adding that he had later called off the hit and escorted Xander back to Greece. Brady didn’t believe Victor, who said he would find someone to blame for Deimos’ death. John was stunned when Marlena (actually Hattie) dumped him. The real Marlena woke up in Bayview. Hattie broke Bonnie out of prison.
 
8/14/17-8/18/17: Brady, who was drunk, showed Victor the amulet that Deimos had on him when he was killed and said he found it in Eric’s room while searching for proof that Eric and Nicole are sleeping together. Victor warned Brady that the police might think he was framing Eric for Deimos’ murder if he gave them the amulet. Brady left the amulet on a table near Victor. Hope, Rafe and Det. Raines arrested and jailed Abe on charges that he was Dario’s silent partner in the money laundering scam. Marlena got hold of a cellphone and called John for help, but an orderly snatched the phone away. Hattie (as Marlena) told John to get his things from “their” townhouse when asked why “she” called him for help. Sonny told Chad that he remembered Deimos was dead when he found him. Kayla advised Joey not to turn himself in for killing Ava. Tripp apologized to Kayla for everything he did to her.
 
8/21/17-8/25/17: Prior to his departure for prison to serve time for killing Ava, Steve and Kayla held a going-away party for Joey at the Brady Pub, attended by family and friends. Kate was surprised when Roman kissed her, and she reminded him that their past romance is over and she is married to Andre. Unaware that a jealous Andre had seen Kate and Roman kissing, Kate was puzzled when he made a sudden attempt to take over the DiMera family business. Anjelica blasted “Adrienne” (Bonnie) for not going to the hearing for Sonny, who was set free. Sonny later proposed to Paul, who said yes. Justin was ecstatic when “Adrienne” (Bonnie) told him that she broke off her romance with Lucas because she loves Justin, and the two kissed. Brady told Nicole not to tell anyone that she had stabbed Deimos when he threatened to take Holly and leave Salem. An upset Gabi learned that Chad and Abigail are remarrying.
 
8/28/17-9/1/17: At the Salem Inn, Hattie and Anjelica were shocked to find Bonnie in bed with Lucas, who was passed out. In all the confusion and panic, Anjelica suddenly had a heart attack and died on the spot. Justin knocked on the door as Bonnie and Hattie were trying to figure out what to do with Angelica’s body. Adrienne (Bonnie) nixed letting Justin into the room and left with him when he said she could move into the Kiriakis mansion. When a drunken Lucas awoke, Hattie got him back to sleep, put Angelica’s body in his bed and split. Lucas woke up next to Angelica’s body, called Chloe for help and insisted that he didn’t kill Angelica. Abe told Rafe and Hope that Eli had revealed that Raines was Dario’s silent partner. Abe said he'd lied about being part of the counterfeit scam so he could get info to put Raines away. Chad and Abigail and Sonny and Paul planned a double wedding.
 
9/4/17-9/8/17: Lucas thanked Chloe for anonymously calling the police, who moved Anjelica’s body from Adrienne’s (Bonnie’s) room at the Salem Inn to the morgue. Lucas told Chloe that he was drunk at the time, but nonetheless sure that he had been making love with Adrienne (Bonnie), not Angelica. Adrienne (Bonnie) played dumb when Hope asked why Angelica had been in the hotel room. Rafe told Eli that Dario sent proof of Raines being behind the counterfeit scam to Club TBD. At Club TBD, Raines abducted Gabi, who opened the package from Dario and listened to a recorded confession of Raines' guilt in the counterfeit scam. After Andre had Marlena (Hattie) evaluate him mentally, she declared him insane and had him committed to Bayview, where Andre was shocked to see (the real) Marlena and John, who are trying to escape. Theo is upset that Claire let Tripp move in with them.
 
9/11/17-9/15/17: Hattie was sent back to prison after Hope realized that she was impersonating Marlena. After learning that Andre was at Bayview, Paul realized that John and Marlena were also there, and he and Roman rescued Marlena, John and Andre. Bonnie begged Hattie not to reveal that she, as Adrienne, had been in cahoots with her. Meanwhile, the real Adrienne is in solitary at Statesville Prison. Marlena told John that she thinks Hattie’s accomplice is Adrienne (Bonnie). Rafe, Hope, Eli and Abe rescued Gabi from Raines, who was then sent to prison. Eli revealed that he was fired from the FBI because Gabi had been kidnapped during his watch. Andre entered the DiMera mansion just in time to hear Chad say that he may never trust him. Brady told Nicole that he is OK with her decision to continue working with Eric at the Horton Center, even though she has finished her community service.
 
9/18/17-9/22/17: While trying to drown his sorrows in a bottle of booze, Lucas, who was hallucinating, poured out his troubles to his deceased son, Will. When Lucas rejected Will’s effort to convince him to get help for his drinking, Will suddenly faded away. Jennifer and Kate later found a drunken Lucas passed out in a church and got him to a hospital, but he refused help and checked himself out. After Nicole and Eric came close to kissing, Eric, who has feelings for Nicole but didn’t want to hurt Brady, wrote a note to Nicole and planned to leave Salem. Gabi was upset to learn that her kidnapping had gotten Eli fired from the FBI. Chad made Sonny realize that Will would have forgiven him for not being there when Will died and would also want Sonny to move on with Paul. Rafe and Hope are vying for the job of police commissioner.
 
9/25/17-9/29/17: Bonnie listened on an extension when Victor received a call from Xander, who told Victor to use his connections to get him out of prison or he would reveal that Victor was behind Deimos’ murder. Bonnie plans to use the info she has to get money from Victor to pay Sheila to not tell anyone that Bonnie is impersonating Adrienne. Justin pulled some legal strings to annul Abigail’s green-card marriage to Dario. Paul told Sonny that he wants to marry him even though Sonny will always love (the deceased) Will. As the Paul/Sonny and Abigail/Chad double wedding was to begin, Abigail’s ex, Ben, who escaped from Bayview mental hospital, barged into the church. Abe told Eli that he would find him a job with the Salem police department. Hope and Rafe told Abe that they want him to decide which one of them will be the new police commissioner. Eli has a past connection to Sheila.

10/2/17-10/6/17: After interrupting the double wedding, Ben insisted to Sonny that he did not kill Will, who is very much alive. Paul was upset when Sonny called off their marriage until he learns whether Will is alive or dead, despite the fact that no one believes Ben, who said he didn't know Will's whereabouts. Lucas refused when Sonny asked to have Will’s grave opened to exhume the body. JJ was called on the carpet when he threatened to shoot Ben with his service revolver. Abigail and Chad were later married in a small, private ceremony. Hope, who is the new police commissioner, locked Ben in jail until he can be returned to Bayview mental hospital. Bonnie nearly revealed that she is pretending to be Adrienne when she reluctantly agreed to check on Sonny. Justin reminded Sonny that if Will is alive, they are still married. Nicole went to see Eric after learning that he left town because of his love for her.
 
10/9/17-10/13/17: Eric was surprised when Nicole showed up at the farmhouse, confronted him about his leaving town because he loved her, and then admitted loving him. Nicole returned home after spending the night with Eric and was met by Brady, who realized that she had made love with Eric. Brady ordered Nicole to leave town or he would see that she goes to prison for murdering Deimos, and thus would never see her daughter, Holly, again. Hope quizzed Ben, who told her about a visit from Clyde when he was at Bayview hospital. Sonny and Paul were skeptical when Hope said that Clyde had led Ben to believe he didn’t kill Will. At Statesville prison, Adrienne saw “Marlena” (actually Hattie), who admitted that she was impersonating Marlena. Adrienne begged Hattie to get her out of the prison. Adrienne (actually Bonnie) told Victor that if he doesn’t marry her, she will tell Hope that he was behind Deimos’ murder.
 
10/16/17-10/20/17: Sami called the police when she caught John and Paul attempting to dig up Will’s grave to find out if he was perhaps not really dead, as Ben had intimated. Rafe talked Sami out of pressing charges against Paul and John, who agreed to forget about exhuming Will’s body. Sami promised that she would stay in Salem until she finds out herself whether Will is alive or dead. Sonny turned to Chad and Andre for help dealing with the fact that Will's possible existence is causing strain between him and Paul. Under Brady’s threat of sending her to prison, Nicole broke up with a devastated Eric, then asked Jennifer to take care of him. Nicole took Holly and left town, but vowed to someday return. Adrienne (Bonnie) was thrilled that Victor gave Maggie divorce papers and said he was marrying Adrienne (Bonnie). Rafe agreed to partner with Eli after Hope gave him a job on the police department.
 
10/23/17-10/27/17: Learning that Hope was questioning Stefano’s former henchman Rolf at the Salem Inn, Sami burst into the room, grabbed Hope’s service revolver and threatened to shoot Rolf if he didn’t reveal if Will was dead or alive. Sami pistol-whipped Rolf, who fell to the floor and revealed that Stefano had ordered him to save Will, but not tell anyone. Rolf said that it wasn’t Will’s body in the casket. Rolf then killed himself with a cyanide pill. Hope arrested Sami for stealing her gun. Sami, Paul, Sonny, John and Marlena went to Memphis after getting a lead on Will. Bonnie fumed when Victor refused to marry her, and Maggie and Brady said they knew Victor had a hand in Deimos’ death. Steve and Kayla then revealed that Bonnie was impersonating Adrienne, who reunited with Justin. Eve returned to Salem.
 
10/30/17-11/3/17: Eve told Victor and Brady that she married Deimos after leaving Salem, but before his death he dumped her and left to find Nicole. In Memphis, a lead that Sami, Marlena, John, Paul and Sonny were following in hopes of finding out if Will is dead or alive led them to the home of an Elvis impersonator. The Elvis impersonator told the group he didn’t know Will, but teased that he is the real Elvis, whom Dr. Rolf resurrected from the dead. In the ruckus that followed, Sonny hit his head and was knocked out. Justin was able to get Sami off after she assaulted a cop. Returning to the “Elvis” house, John, Sami and Marlena were stunned to come face-to-face with wacky Susan Banks, who possibly knows something about Will. In Memphis, Adrienne saw Lucas, who has moved on, and told him it was Bonnie, posing as Adrienne, who broke up with him. Adrienne then reunited with Justin.

11/6/17-11/10/17: At a bar in Memphis, Paul was shocked when he saw Will (or a Will look-alike) bartending. Paul was about to tell John and Marlena that he saw Will, when they told him that Susan insisted that Rolf had not been able to resurrect Will, despite saying that he had. Susan told Roger Fisher that Will’s loved ones still think he may be alive. Lucas warned Sami that Susan might kill her because she blames Sami for EJ’s death. Paul almost told John that he had seen Will, but kept mum when he realized that if Will is alive, he would lose Sonny. Tripp was curious after interrupting Kate and Theo, who was trying to find out who has been hacking into DiMera Enterprises. Eve taunted Victor and Brady that as Deimos’ wife she owns the majority of stock in Basic Black, the family company. Despite failing to frame Eve for Deimos’ murder, Brady vowed to take her down.
 
11/13/17-11/17/17: In Memphis, Sami -- who told Paul that Will was alive -- was furious to learn that Paul had seen Will but didn’t tell her. Sami headed for the bar after Paul said that Sonny had gone there to see Will. At the bar, Will told Sonny that he didn’t know him, to which Sonny responded that they were married and have a daughter, but the man insisted he wasn’t Will. The man told Sami that she was crazy when she said she was his mother. When Susan arrived, the man said she was his mother, who had told him what an evil person Sami is. When Rafe arrived, the man angrily told everyone that he wasn’t Will, he was EJ (the son Susan has accused Sami of killing). Theo was shot by an unwitting JJ, who thought he was a perp who'd broken into a warehouse with a gun. Abe, Lani and Claire worried about an unconscious Theo. Hope put JJ on suspension. Kayla and Valerie teamed up to save Theo, who underwent surgery.
 
11/20/17-11/24/17: Sami and Susan argued over which one of them was Will’s mother while Will insisted that he wasn’t Will but EJ and that Susan was his mother. Marlena arrived and tried to get Susan to admit that Will isn’t EJ, but got nowhere until John arrived with Roger, who had been helping Susan. Roger admitted that Susan and Rolf had brainwashed Will (who had lost his memory) into believing that he was EJ. Losing “EJ” caused Susan to have a breakdown and she was hospitalized. At the hospital, Roger met Sister Mary Moira, who is Susan’s sister. Kristen, who supposedly fell to her death over a year ago, went to Will’s room and said to herself that Susan doesn’t know it, but EJ is also alive. Sonny blasted Paul for not telling him when he first saw Will. Paul worried that Sonny would leave him and go back to Will. JJ, who shot Theo, sneaked into his hospital room to check on him.
 
11/27/17-12/1/17: Gabi arranged for Will to spend time with his daughter, Arianna, who was shy, but eventually ran to him and hugged him. Will apologized for not recognizing Marlena, Gabi and especially Arianna. Will insisted that Marlena hypnotize him in hopes he would regain his memory, but it did not work. Hoping to jog Will’s memory, Sami paid someone to break Ben out of the mental hospital to force Ben to re-create for Will the moment in which Ben supposedly “killed” Will, but Ben couldn’t go through with the plan. When Hope refused Abe’s order to fire JJ from the police force, Abe fired her and named Rafe the new police commissioner. Hope broke up with Rafe because he took over her job. Feeling bad about Theo being shot while working for her, Kate sneaked into his hospital room and begged him to wake from his coma. Ciara suddenly returned to Salem.

12/4/17-12/8/17: Shawn and Belle told Hope that they'd returned to Salem after learning that Theo was shot and in a comatose state, adding that Ciara (Hope’s daughter) came with them. After the hospital refused to let Ciara see Theo, she blamed Claire for Theo’s condition and vowed to make Claire pay. Ciara also wrongly accused Claire of cheating on Theo with Tripp. Sami and Rafe made love after crying on each other's shoulders about Hope’s split with Rafe and Will wanting Sami out of his life. Rafe hid when Hope showed up at Sami’s hotel room and thus heard Sami urge Hope to make up with him. Guiltily, Rafe accepted when Hope proposed to him. Will went to see Paul after Belle told him about Paul and Will’s past romance, and planted a kiss on a stunned Paul. Realizing what had happened, Sonny broke up with Paul. Lucas refused when Kate offered to pay for it if he would go to rehab.
 
12/11/17-12/15/17: Before leaving Salem, Sami had a mother/son talk with Will and agreed to let him have some space to deal with his memory loss. Sami also said her goodbyes to Roman and Eric. Sami, who claimed that Hope’s engagement ring was hers when Will saw it on the floor, struggled to get it off when Hope arrived, but was finally able to give the ring to Rafe. Ciara heard Rafe and Sami say that Hope can never know they slept together. Steve stopped Kayla before she could tell Eli that Theo was working for Kate when he was shot. Kate and Andre falsely told Eli that they knew nothing about Theo checking out a DiMera Co. cybersecurity break-in at the building that JJ saw Theo breaking into. Hope nixed letting JJ resign from the police force. Sami told Lucas, who is in the hospital detox center, that she expects him to look after Will. Rafe and Hope’s engagement is back on.
 
12/18/17-12/22/17: Abe vowed that JJ would pay when he learned that Internal Affairs officially cleared Jack (JJ) of any wrongdoing in the shooting of Theo, and no criminal charges would be filed against him. JJ. was reinstated and partnered with Eli. JJ, who is racked with guilt over shooting Theo, wrote letters to his family and friends and then gave away his possessions after deciding to commit suicide. After Chad learned from a recording of Kate and Steve that Theo's working for Kate is what got him shot, Chad demanded, and Kate agreed, that she would resign as CEO of the DiMera family business if he didn't turn her in. Realizing that Ciara knows he slept with Sami, Rafe played dumb when Hope asked why Ciara was angry with him. Will asked Sonny about their past. The Horton family held their annual hanging of the Christmas ornaments.
 
12/25/17-12/29/17: JJ was surprised when Abe said he forgave him for shooting Theo, adding that JJ had been doing his job as a police officer. At the hospital, Abe, Valerie, Claire, Ciara and JJ visited an unconscious Theo, and when they said they would never stop loving him, a Christmas miracle occurred and Theo suddenly opened his eyes. After spending the night with JJ., Gabi talked him out of committing suicide and made him promise to get professional help. Valerie told Lani that Abe had forgiven JJ and then encouraged Lani not to give up on her relationship with JJ. Lani and JJ reunited, but she felt guilty for sleeping with Eli, especially when she learned that nothing had happened between JJ and Gabi. Lani also learned that Gabi talked JJ out of committing suicide. Abigail realized that Andre loves Kate. Hope was reinstated as police commissioner. Belle and Shawn left town.

1/1/18-1/5/18: The DiMera family was stunned when Vivian Alamain, who hasn’t visited Salem in years, crashed their New Year’s Eve party. Everyone was in shock when Vivian introduced her son Stefan O. DiMera and showed them proof that he is her and Stefano’s son. The DiMera clan still wants a DNA test done. The family received another shock when Stefan revealed that since Chad and Kate had been unsuccessfully running DiMera Enterprises, the company board of directors has named Stefan as the new CEO. Stefan also said he that owns the bank that holds the mortgage on the DiMera mansion. Paul was stunned when Will kissed him on New Year’s Eve. Sonny was heartbroken when Will ended their relationship. Rafe realized that Ciara knows that he and Sami kissed before Sami left town, and that she wants to tell Hope. Eve and Brady made love. Andre told Kate that he has feelings for her.
 
1/8/18-1/12/18: Andre warned Vivian to stop gloating over her and Stefan’s successful takeover of DiMera Enterprises, reminding her it wouldn’t have happened without his inside information. Andre also reminded Vivian that Stefan is only CEO of DiMera Enterprises in name only and that Andre is really the one in charge. Andre covered when Kate walked in just after he told Vivian that Kate, Chad and Abigail would never know that they are in cahoots on the DiMera takeover. Vivian blasted Stefan for rehiring Chad and Abigail after they had quit DiMera Enterprises. Lani was going to tell Eli that she is pregnant, until he said that they should forget their one-night stand. JJ, who Lani has been involved with romantically, was thrilled when he learned that she is pregnant. Claire was upset that Theo was sent to a South African facility for a new treatment after his condition worsened.
 
1/15/18-1/19/18: Lani struggled with what to do when JJ learned that she is pregnant, believed the baby is his and begged her not to terminate her pregnancy. When Lani told Kayla that she thinks Eli is her baby’s father, Kayla reminded her that Eli is biracial, so the baby could have dark skin. After JJ told Abe and Theo -- who is on his way to South Africa -- that she is pregnant, Lani decided to let JJ believe that he is the father. Anna, who was on a date with Roman, was upset when he arranged for her to “talk” to Marlena about her lingering feelings for Tony DiMera, who is dead. Gabi accepted Eli’s offer of dinner to celebrate the launch of her clothing line, Gabi Chic, and also accepted his offer to spend the night together. Eric was not happy when he learned that Jennifer was on a date with Dr. Henry Shah, who is a volunteer doctor at the Horton Center. Abe talked about leaving town.
 
1/22/18-1/26/18: Chad tried to calm Abigail, who called him after she found the body of Andre, who had been murdered in his office at DiMera Enterprises. Hope, Rafe and Eli checked the crime scene for clues, and Eli found an urn that had contained Tony’s ashes under the desk. They realized that the urn was used to bash in Andre’s head. Vivian told Stefan they had to get their stories straight when the police quiz them about Andre’s death. Vivian considered Chad the only person left in the way of her and Stefan taking over the entire DiMera fortune. Chad admitted to being angry with Andre for firing Gabi and stealing her company. Roman covered for Anna, who once had Tony’s urn in her possession. Sonny confronted Brady after hearing him tell Eve that he'd killed Andre. It was revealed that John is poisoning Steve. Lani covered after Eli learned from Valerie that Lani was pregnant.
 
1/29/18-2/2/18: After John phoned a mystery person and said he needed more poison, a very large man arrived and gave him another vial of the toxin he is secretly administering to Steve. Paul, who heard John’s side of the phone call, told Will, who agreed to help find out if John is really poisoning someone. Steve saw a doctor, who told him that he has an autoimmune disease that is causing irreversible retinal deterioration in his good eye. Watching CCTV from outside Andre’s office, Rafe and Eli saw Vivian, Gabi, Kate and Anna (holding Tony’s urn) enter and leave the office. Hope had Anna and Roman arrested after she learned that he lied about Anna being with him when Tony died. Valerie read Lani’s medical file at the hospital and learned that Eli, not JJ, is the father of Lani’s baby. Hattie’s arrival at Andre’s funeral momentarily stopped other funeral goers, who were accusing each other of killing him.

2/5/18-2/9/18: Valerie confronted Lani and -- despite the fact that she said JJ might harm himself -- forced her to tell Eli that he, not JJ, is the father of her baby. Lani begged Eli not to tell anyone and to let JJ raise the child. Will and Paul tailed John and saw him receive another vial of the poison. Paul followed John’s supplier while Will followed John and was stunned to see him pour some of the poison into Steve’s coffee at the Brady Pub. John caught Will and took him to the DiMera mausoleum at gunpoint. Kayla did some tests to find out what is wrong with Steve, who had collapsed. Anna was released after telling Hope that she confronted Andre -- who had grabbed and kept Tony’s urn when she threatened to hit him with it -- and that Andre was alive when she left. Gabi, who was arrested for Andre’s murder, said she was being framed.
 
2/12/18-2/16/18: At the hospital, John, who was about to give an unconscious Steve an injection of poison, left when Tripp arrived. Steve later regained consciousness. Kate went to the DiMera mausoleum, where Andre’s body is interned, and was stunned to see her daughter Billie, who has been out of the country for years. Billie, who is also an ISA agent, was sent to help John, who had (seemingly) shot Will and Paul. Chad bailed Gabi out after D.A. Melinda Trask charged her with Andre’s murder. Chad is determined to see Stefan take the fall for Andre’s death. Stefan erased something from Andre’s cellphone after telling Rafe that he didn’t know where it was. Abigail told Rafe and Eli that she heard Gabi threaten to kill Andre. Rafe admitted that he'd slept with Sami after Eli revealed that he'd slept with Lani.
 
2/19/18-2/23/18: Tripp grabbed a syringe of the lethal poison from ISA director Pamela Van Damme, who held him and others hostage, and stabbed her in the neck, killing her before she could kill anyone else. Steve was OK after John convinced Kayla to give him the antidote that Billie had brought for the poison that Pamela forced John to use on Steve. John told everyone that Pamela and the ISA wanted him to kill Steve because he ruined their cover-up of Ava Vitali’s death when Joey confessed to killing Ava. Pamela was facing charges of embezzlement, collusion, bribery and murder, and wanted Steve’s whole family eliminated to hide the truth. Billie, who had a gunshot wound, survived. Stefan realized that Abigail (Abby) killed Andre when she confronted him, called herself “Gabby” and was holding part of the urn used to kill Andre. Abigail also tried to seduce Stefan. Maggie walked out on Victor.
 
2/26/18-3/2/18: Stefan got rid of Chad while Abigail, as her Abby alter ego, hid in the closet of Stefan’s bedroom. Later, Stefan prevented Abby from bludgeoning Vivian to death. Stefan then researched split personalities and realized that Abigail’s problem may be the result of the trauma Ben had caused her years ago. At the Horton cabin, Hope and Rafe were married by a justice of the peace, and later returned to Salem for their formal wedding planned by Julie. After the wedding guests arrived, Claire blurted out to a devastated Hope and everyone else that Rafe had slept with Sami before she left town. John felt horrible after learning that the poison he gave Steve is causing him to lose sight in his good eye (he was blinded in his left eye years ago). Valerie was angry to learn that Lani plans to marry JJ, while Eli told Lani he would keep mum that he, not JJ, is her baby’s father.

3/5/18-3/9/18: After saying their “I do’s” at the Horton cabin, Rafe and Hope returned to Salem for their formal wedding, which was blown apart when Claire told everyone that Rafe cheated on Hope by sleeping with Sami. Rafe told Hope that he thought they were over when he slept with Sami, but Hope can’t forgive him and said they were through. Eli told Gabi that he cheated on her with Lani when she thought that JJ had slept with Gabi. Eli told Gabi that he isn’t the father of Lani’s baby, which is a lie. When Gabby (Abigail) entered Stefan’s room, he tried to tell her that she is really Abigail. Stefan learned that Abigail has another alter ego, Dr. Laura. Stefan planted the coat that Abigail had stolen from Gabi and worn when she killed Andre in Gabi’s bag. Lani arrested Gabi for tampering with evidence in Andre’s murder because she put the coat in a trash bin. Eve and Brady planned an impromptu wedding that didn’t come off.
 
3/12/18-3/16/18: Eve called off her and Brady’s wedding after Maggie pressured Victor into admitting to Eve that Brady had been playing Eve in order to take Basic Black away from her. If he succeeded, Victor would make Brady CEO of Titan. Brady told Eve he had been playing her in the beginning, but that he ended up falling in love with her. Eve refused to forgive Brady, fired him from Basic Black, and then moved out of the Kiriakis mansion. After Lani arrested Gabi for Andre’s murder, Gabi, who knows Eli slept with Lani, asked if Lani’s baby is really JJ’s. Lani lied that it is. Adrienne encouraged Steve, who is dealing with the fact he may become blind. Stefan told Vivian that Abigail has a second alter ego, Dr. Laura. Gabby pretended to be “Abigail” when she ran into Kayla and Jennifer. Chad and Lani quizzed Stefan after Chad found Andre’s missing phone in Stefan’s desk.
 
3/19/18-3/23/18: At Gabi’s trial for murdering Andre, her lawyer, Justin, asked a stunned Lani why she didn’t arrest Gabi when she caught Gabi destroying evidence. Lani tried to stall, but finally blurted out that it was because she'd slept with Gabi’s boyfriend, Eli. Upon realizing that he isn’t the father of Lani’s baby, JJ punched Eli and was arrested. JJ nixed working things out with Lani. In Hong Kong, Hope met with her son Shawn. Hope told Rafe that she was having Belle draw up their divorce papers. Abigail (Gabby) convinced Chad to let her go to Hong Kong on business with Stefan. Hope saw Stefan with a woman, but didn’t realize it was Abigail. Abigail (Gabby) was shocked when Chad showed up at her Hong Kong hotel room. To make Basic Black a success, Eve agreed to combine her company with Brady’s magazine, New Face of Bella. Will and Sonny’s divorce is final.

3/26/18-3/30/18: Kayla took Steve to the hospital when he suddenly went completely blind. John refused when Steve wanted him to buy his share of their investigation company, Black Patch, since he wouldn’t be able to work anymore and would be a burden. Marlena looked for an experimental treatment that might help Steve. In Hong Kong, Belle rescued Chad, who was arrested for drug possession. Chad insisted that he was set up (he was). When “Gabby” (Abigail) had pain in her head, she suddenly turned into Abigail and was stunned to realize she was in Hong Kong with Stefan. After telling Stefan that they had to return to Salem, “Gabby” went to the hotel lobby and quickly took off her “Dr. Laura” glasses when she ran into Chad. Abe comforted Lani, who realized that she must move on without JJ. Vivian hired Leo to seduce Sonny, who unwittingly accepted Leo’s date offer.

4/2/18-4/6/18: When Abigail (as Dr. Laura) took the stand during Gabi’s murder trial, she falsely said that Gabi had killed Andre. D.A. Trask objected when Justin, who is Gabi’s lawyer, asked why Abigail (Dr. Laura) lied when she accused her best friend of murder. A recess was called when Gabi yelled at Abigail (Dr. Laura) for lying and tried to get to her. Chad told Gabi that he realized something was wrong with Abigail and vowed to find out what. Abigail went to Marlena for help when her two alter egos began vying for control, but “Dr. Laura” fooled Marlena. Gabi later lashed out at Abigail while awaiting the verdict on her trial. Abe was angry with Valerie for revealing that Lani was having Eli’s, not JJ's, baby. JJ later urged Eli to be a good father to his and Lani’s baby. Lani learned that something may be wrong with the baby. Justin and Adrienne had an uneasy talk with Leo, who is dating Sonny.
 
4/9/18-4/13/18: At the courthouse, Gabi lost it when the judge announced that the jury had found her guilty of murdering Andre. Justin managed to restrain Gabi, who verbally lashed out at the judge and jury, protesting her innocence. Gabi fumed when D.A. Trask got the judge to send Gabi to Statesville Prison while she waits for sentencing. Justin began working on an appeal for Gabi. As part of Vivian’s scheme, Leo applied and was hired for an executive position at Titan. When Leo told Sonny about his new job, Sonny told Leo that he is the CEO of Titan, and their romance is over. Marlena realized that Abigail has dissociative identity disorder when her “Laura” personality came out during a session. Stefan and Gabby (Abigail) took Marlena prisoner after she learned that they are romantically involved. Hope returned from Hong Kong and told Rafe that their marriage is over.
 
4/16/18-4/20/18: Marlena, whom Stefan is keeping prisoner in a tunnel at the DiMera mansion, tried to make Stefan see that “Gabby” is not real, but Stefan said that she is and he loves her. Stefan shoved Vivian in with Marlena as he and Gabby (Abigail) made plans to leave town. A delusional Abigail had a conversation with Andre’s ghost, who refused when she demanded that he tell her who killed him. Chad suggested to Rafe that there must be a reason why Abigail testified that Gabi killed Andre. Abby (Abigail) covered when John asked her about Marlena’s disappearance. Stefan locked Vivian and Kate in the tunnel with Marlena after Kate learned that Abigail is the “mystery woman.” Chad burst into Stefan’s bedroom and was shocked to see Gabby (Abigail) in bed with Stefan. Eli visited Gabi at Statesville Prison.
 
4/23/18-4/27/18: Chad lost it after catching Abigail (as Gabby) in bed with Stefan, and began beating Stefan to a pulp. Gabby (Abigail) ran off, but called 911. Hope and Rafe arrived at the DiMera mansion and arrested Chad, who was still beating and kicking Stefan. At the police station, Chad told Hope and Rafe that he saw Abigail (Gabby) in bed with Stefan, whom he accused of killing Andre. Hope told Chad that they have video footage of Abigail as Gabby showing her killing Andre. Gabby (Abigail) went on the run after sneaking into Stefan’s hospital room. While they were still hostages, Vivian told Kate and Marlena that Abigail had killed Andre. Ciara and Tripp learned that Claire had rigged the Face of Bella contest so that she would win. Roman and Anna told Jennifer and Eric that they are engaged. Brady was left unconscious by Miguel, who abducted Chloe.
 
4/30/18-5/4/18: Gabby, who had stayed at Stefan’s side in the hospital, was arrested. Gabby lashed out at Jennifer and told Chad that she loved Stefan and insisted he hadn’t raped her. Gabby revealed that Marlena, Vivian and Kate were locked in a room at the DiMera mansion after she received immunity from kidnapping charges for her and Stefan. Abigail, whom Gabby locked in a room, battled with Laura and Gabby to get free. After John and Paul rescued Kate, Vivian and Marlena, they told him that Abigail had killed Andre and has two alter egos. Stefan remained hospitalized. In Mexico, Chloe learned that Miguel had kidnapped her on orders from his boss, drug lord El Fideo, whom Theresa, also a captive, had been involved with years ago when she ran off and left Brady and their son, Tate. Gabi was beaten up by another inmate.

5/7/18-5/11/18: On advice from Marlena, Chad helped Abigail, who recalled being angry after learning that Andre teamed up with Vivian to take over everything DiMera owned and oust Chad from the family business. When Andre grabbed Abigail, yelling and shaking her, she feared he would kill her, so she grabbed the urn containing Tony’s ashes and hit Andre on the head, killing him. When Stefan tried to kiss “Gabby,” Abigail told him that they would never be together, then fainted and hit her head. Abigail’s alters were gone when she came to. In Mexico, Chloe was stunned to see Theresa, who said she is a victim of human trafficking, and then they planned to escape from drug dealer El Fideo. Victor, who knows the real reason Theresa abandoned Brady and their son, Tate, has kept the information to himself. Vivian pulled a gun on Kate, struggled with her and died when the gun went off.
 
5/14/18-5/18/18: In Mexico, Theresa was stunned to find herself face-to-face with Xander, whom she once falsely accused of raping her and trying to kill her. After Mateo (the drug dealer) “gave” Theresa to Xander, Theresa said that she would be able to get Xander back in Victor’s good graces if he takes her back to Salem and reunites her with Brady and Tate. Xander agreed, but refused when Theresa wanted him to rescue Chloe as well. Mateo, who made Chloe sing for him, said he would let her go if she voluntarily makes love with him. Someone went into the morgue and injected a syringe of fluid into the supposedly dead Vivian. Stefan warned Kate that she will pay if he ever finds out that her killing Vivian wasn’t an accident. To get control of Titan, Kate hired Leo to finish what Vivian paid him to do -- ruin Sonny’s life. Kayla told Steve that there's a chance he could regain his eyesight.
 
5/21/18-5/25/18: Brady was stunned when he walked into the DiMera mansion and came face-to-face with his wife, Theresa. Theresa explained to Brady that she didn’t just walk out on him, she was forced to leave with the drug dealer Mateo to protect his and Tate's lives. Theresa, who wants to start over with Brady, kissed him just as Eve walked in the door. Theresa wanted Eve to end her engagement to Brady. Eric was shocked to learn that Victor had gotten Xander, who was accused of shooting Brady, released from a Greek prison. Paul ran into Xander, who said he is a free man and plans to stay in Salem. In Mexico, Chloe found a note that Theresa had left her and was stunned when Mateo, lying, said that he'd killed Theresa for betraying him. Chad forced the district attorney to work out a plea deal for Abigail. John and Paul set out to rescue Chloe. It was revealed that Vivian is still alive.
 
5/28/18-6/1/18: Gabi, who was about to be released from prison after being cleared of killing Andre, was attacked by her fellow prisoner and nemesis Diane, who choked her until she passed out. When Gabi woke up, she saw Diane, whom someone had killed with a lethal injection. Gabi’s release was stalled when she was suspected of killing Diane. John and Paul rescued Chloe, who helped them by stabbing Mateo to death as he attempted to shoot John. Chloe, who believed that Mateo had killed Theresa, was stunned to see that she is alive. Chloe told Brady that Theresa had saved herself, leaving Chloe behind and knowing Mateo would kill her. Hoping to restore Steve’s vision, Kayla went to Stefan, who owns a company that makes bionic eyes. Marlena, hoping to help Abigail, had Ben, the necktie killer, released from a mental hospital to evaluate his sanity. Will hopes Dr. Rolf’s research will restore his memory.

6/4/18-6/8/18: Brady gave Theresa her walking papers after learning that she had left Chloe in Mexico while Xander helped her escape from Mateo. Brady also told Theresa that he didn’t want her anywhere near their son, Tate. Brady blasted Victor after learning that he knew Chloe had been held hostage and didn’t try to rescue her. Brady told Victor that he wanted nothing to do with him or Titan, then he and Tate moved into a hotel. JJ let Theresa move in with him after Brady threw her out. Ciara was devastated when she walked in on Tripp and Claire, who came close to having sex, but Tripp refused. Ciara told Tripp that she couldn’t make love with him because she had been raped (by Chase). Ciara took off on her motorcycle and crashed it. JJ was upset to learn that Ben was released from the mental facility after being declared sane. Ben found Ciara lying in the road and took her to a cabin.
 
6/11/18-6/15/18: Ciara, who has a broken leg, was stunned when she came to in the cabin and realized that Ben was there. Ben told Ciara that he had been released from the psychiatric hospital, but she didn’t believe he had been rehabilitated. Ben told Ciara that he was capable of taking care of her leg. Determined to get Brady and Tate back, Theresa said that Victor had put her in charge of Titan’s Bella line and that Brady could become CEO of Titan if he took her back, an offer he refused. Victor didn’t bite when Xander said that he wanted to be CEO of Titan. Vowing that Victor would pay, Xander, who also knows who killed Deimos, stole stacks of money from Victor’s home safe, along with an envelope with Nicole’s name on it. Paul worried that something could go wrong as Marlena injected Will with Dr. Rolf’s formula, which supposedly could restore Will’s memory. Hope searched for the missing Ciara.
 
6/18/18-6/22/18: JJ got Lani to the hospital when she went into early labor. At the hospital, Kayla had to perform an emergency C-section since the baby was premature. When Lani, who lost consciousness, came to, Kayla broke the news to her and Eli that the baby didn’t make it. At the cabin in the woods, Ciara told Ben about Tripp and Claire betraying her, and said she didn’t want to return to Salem. Ben told Ciara about how horrible his childhood had been, and both agreed that they want to start new lives. Ben gave Ciara a burner phone; she called her mother, Hope, and said she was OK but wasn’t coming home. Kayla told Will the hospital wouldn’t allow her to give him a second injection of Dr. Rolf’s formula. Later, Will remembered some of his past and then stole the second vial. Sonny asked Paul to check out Leo’s past. Gabi’s reunion with daughter Arianna didn’t go well.
 
6/25/18-6/29/18: Abigail returned from her integration therapy in Boston and surprised Chad, telling him that Gabby and Dr. Laura are integrated with her real personality. Chad told Abigail that they will work things out, and she said she loves him. Abigail apologized for framing Gabi for murdering Andre. Gabi urged Abigail to get a pregnancy test when Abigail realized that she is pregnant but doesn’t know if the baby is Chad’s or Stefan’s. Ted was not happy when Kate told him to drop the sexual harassment suit against Sonny. Leo told Sonny that the lawsuit against him was a setup. Gabi confronted Stefan for framing her for Andre’s murder, and demanded he give back Gabi Chic. Vowing revenge, Gabi accepted Stefan’s job offer. Hope realized that Ciara could be with Ben. Kayla gave Stefan dirt on Kate and Ted so Steve could have bionic eye surgery.

7/2/18-7/6/18: Will walked in just as Leo tried to get Sonny to marry him in exchange for making the sexual harassment suit against him disappear. Will showed Leo and Sonny proof that Leo’s real name was Matthew Cooper and that he was a male prostitute. Leo tried to strangle Will as the two men argued, so Sonny shoved Leo, who hit his head on the mantel and died. Will and Sonny rolled Leo into a rug, and made plans to get rid of the body. After learning that Abigail was pregnant, Gabi stole Stefan’s toothbrush, and Abigail took a fork used by Chad to get DNA on both men to determine which one is the father of Abigail’s baby. At the cabin, Ciara worried when Ben, who is now off his medicine, became paranoid. Hope and Rafe paid Ben’s father, Clyde, a visit at Statesville Prison. At Theresa and Brady’s custody hearing over Tate, Theresa fumed when Brady that said he wants full custody of the child.
 
7/9/18-7/13/18: Tracking Ciara’s phone, Hope and Rafe arrived at the cabin to find it on fire and Ciara unconscious. Rafe called the fire department and EMTs while Hope performed CPR on Ciara, who regained consciousness. Rafe pulled a gun on Ben when he arrived at the cabin. Ben insisted that he hadn’t started the fire and didn’t harm Ciara -- he saved her life and set her broken leg. Ciara left the hospital on her own and went to the police station and backed up Ben's story. Will and Sonny, who left Leo’s body in his own car, were stunned when they returned and the car was gone. During a break in his custody fight for Tate, Eric admitted to Eve that he lied about who killed Deimos, then revealed that Nicole was the murderer. Maggie rushed an ailing Gabi to the hospital. A drunken Stefan had visions of Gabby.
 
7/16/18-7/20/18: Gabi was angry when she learned that she can’t have a baby because of the horrible beating she received while in prison. Gabi later secretly changed the paternity test results on Abigail’s baby to make it appear that Stefan, not Chad, is the baby’s father. However, Gabi, not wanting harm to come to the baby, discouraged Abigail when she considered aborting the baby because it is “Stefan’s.” Eve regretted asking Victor for help with Brady’s custody case after Victor had cocaine planted in JJ’s apartment. To protect Theresa, JJ said that the drugs she wrongly thought Brady had planted in their apartment were his. Theresa got custody of Tate and then moved to California. Kayla fumed when Stefan hinted to Steve that he had arranged for Steve to receive a bionic eye. Steve later underwent surgery to replace his eye. Eli and Lani had a funeral for baby David.
 
7/23/18-7/27/18: Sonny suspected that Leo was still alive when someone (Ted) sent Will an anonymous letter claiming to know that Will and Sonny killed Leo. After charges Leo filed against Sonny were dropped, Paul asked Sonny, who denied it, if he had something to do with Leo’s disappearance. Stefan confronted Abigail and told her that Gabi had showed him a (fake) paternity test proving that he is the father of Abigail’s baby. Chad was stunned when Abigail told him that Stefan is the father, but she wants Chad to raise the baby. Chad said he couldn’t do that. Gabi burned the real paternity test showing Chad is the father. Steve and Kayla celebrated the anniversary of their first marriage and the fact that the bionic eye surgery was a success. Hope was upset when Ciara insisted that Ben was innocent of his attempted murder charge and hired Ted to defend him. Sonny was angry that Victor rejected him and left Chad in charge of Titan.
 
7/30/18-8/3/18: Eric was thrilled when Jennifer accepted his marriage proposal. Jennifer was tempted to tell Eric that his former love, Nicole, left town because it was learned that she had killed Deimos, but kept mum. At Marlena’s request, Eric and Brady agreed to mend fences. When Jennifer threatened to tell Brady that Victor, at Eve’s request, planted drugs in JJ’s home, which caused Brady to lose custody of Tate, Eve threatened to tell Eric that Nicole left him because she killed Deimos. Marlena worried when Sami didn’t respond to an invitation to Marlena and John’s upcoming wedding. Chad reunited with Abigail and said he would find a way to deal with the fact she is having Stefan's baby. Sonny learned that Ted was the one who sent him the notes about Leo’s death. Hope and Rafe warned Ben to stay away from Ciara.

8/6/18-8/10/18: Kayla admitted to Jennifer that she is keeping a secret from Steve and is afraid of what would happen if he found out what she did. Kayla lied to Steve, who suddenly arrived, saying that the women were talking about Eric and Jennifer’s upcoming wedding. When Marlena put Ben under hypnosis, he remembered that he had nothing to do with the cabin fire that could have killed Ciara. Ben thanked Ciara for believing him from the start. Eve was relieved when Victor took the blame for planting the drugs that caused Brady to lose custody of Tate. In return, Victor told Eve that he expects her to convince Brady to forgive Victor or he will tell Brady the truth. Ted told Will and Sonny that he found Leo’s body and said that Sonny would have to pay him the money he would have gotten when Leo won the suit against Sonny, if he wants him to keep quiet.
 
8/13/18-8/17/18: Will went to Kate for the millions needed to pay Ted, who is blackmailing him and Sonny over Leo's death. Will was stunned to learn that Ted and Kate have been romantic. Kate was livid when Will revealed that Ted is the blackmailer. Paul learned about Leo’s death. Kate gave Ted a choice: Pick her or the money. Ted chose the money and then asked when he would get it. Kate then pulled a gun on Ted. Stefan forced Kayla to give him info on Abigail’s pregnancy by threatening to “turn off” Steve’s bionic eye with an app on his phone. Tripp was furious that Ciara let Ben move into their loft apartment and that Claire agreed to it. Abigail admitted to Stefan that Chad moved out on her. Gabi was pleased when Abigail caught Chad and her lying on a bed reading a story to Arianna. Eve urged Brady to forgive Victor.
 
8/20/18-8/24/18: After recalling something about his and Sonny’s past marriage, Will suddenly remembered everything about his lost past. Sonny was hopeful that he and Will would get back together, but Will gently told Sonny that he would be staying with Paul. Sonny later looked at a photo of his and Will’s wedding. Kate held a gun to Ted’s chest and said that she would shoot him after he threatened to blackmail her with information he had regarding Leo's death. Kate later told Will that Ted was no longer a “problem.” Marlena was shocked when Susan Banks crashed her bachelorette party. Adrienne confronted Bonnie after Steve captured her and brought her back to Salem to serve time for kidnapping Adrienne and leaving her in Statesville Prison. Susan, who was planning to kill Marlena, came face to face with a gun-toting Sami as John and Marlena were about to say “I do.”
 
8/27/18-8/31/18: Kristen crashed Marlena and John’s wedding and ordered Sami, whom Kristen had drugged, to kill John. When Eric grabbed Sami, the gun went off and Marlena was shot in the chest. Sami told Rafe, who arrested her, that the gun went off accidentally. At the hospital, Kayla and Valerie were able to stabilize Marlena after she flat-lined, and she underwent surgery, which she survived. Kristen took Eve hostage and threatened to kill her if Brady didn’t meet with Kristen. Eve walked in just after Kristen seduced Brady. The situation turned deadly when Sami, who escaped after Rafe arrested her, teamed with Paul to confront Kristen. Excited to learn that Will has regained his memory, Sonny got upset when Will said he didn’t know if he has a future with either Sonny or Paul. Rafe urged Hope not to let Sami interfere with their renewed relationship.

9/3/18-9/7/18: At the Salem Inn, Kristen, who had a gun, told Eve that Brady loves her, not Eve, but Brady said differently. As the three argued, Sami burst into the room and demanded to know if EJ was alive, which Kristen confirmed. Paul rushed into the room as Kristen was about to shoot Sami. Paul lunged at Kristen, causing them both to fall out a window. Paul was taken to the hospital after the two-story fall, but Kristen got away. Stefan was stunned when Kristen showed up on his doorstep asking for help. Stefan hid Kristen in one of the DiMera Mansion tunnels. Marlena became unconscious after John visited her. Kayla said that Marlena needed another surgery to remove a bullet fragment from her heart. Will told a recovering Paul that he regained his memory but kept mum about his decision to stay with Sonny. Roman told Kayla that John was arrested and charged with espionage.
 
9/10/18-9/14/18: Valerie explained to John that Marlena had gone into septic shock following her surgery and was put on a ventilator after she stopped breathing and entered an irreversible coma. Against John and Eric’s wishes, Belle gave Kayla the legal directive that Marlena had arranged in advance, which stated that Marlena did not want to kept alive by extraordinary measures. After a judge denied John’s attempt to keep Marlena on life support, her family gathered around as Kayla turned off her ventilator. Lucas didn’t believe Bonnie, who arrived in Salem with a baby girl whom she claimed was their daughter, the result of their tryst when Bonnie was impersonating Adrienne. Using the baby, Bonnie wants Lucas to get Adrienne to drop legal charges that could send her to prison. Will was about to tell Paul that he is back with Sonny when he learned that his legs were paralyzed by his recent fall.
 
9/17/18-9/21/18: John, who has a plan to save Marlena, teamed up with Roman and Kayla to get Hattie out of jail so she could impersonate Marlena. After Marlena was taken to an abandoned floor in the hospital, Kayla put a life support system on Hattie. Hattie, pretending to be Marlena, "woke up." Sami, Eric and Belle were thrilled that their mother was alive. After the fact, John called Hattie out for blasting Sami for shooting her on her wedding day and slammed Belle for having her taken off the ventilator. Rafe was suspicious when Hope arrested Ben after “finding new evidence” that Ben tried to kill Ciara in the cabin fire. Ben insisted that Hope set him up when Ciara turned against him. Lucas was stunned when Kayla told him that a paternity test proved that he and Bonnie are the parents of baby Bonnie. As part of her revenge plot, Gabi drugged Abigail to make it appear her that her alters have returned.
 
9/24/18-9/28/18: Jennifer and Eric’s engagement came to an end after she confessed that Brady had used the amulet he found in Eric’s room to blackmail Nicole into breaking up with Eric and leaving town. Eric later asked Maggie to help him find Nicole. After a big blowup, Eric told Brady that they are no longer brothers. Brady was furious when, over the phone, Theresa refused to return to Salem with Tate, reminding him that she has full custody of the boy. Brady walked out on Eve after she admitted asking Victor to help with Tate’s custody case. Hattie (as Marlena) blackmailed John into marrying her just as Marlena came out of her coma. Kristen entered Marlena's hospital room, planning to kill "her." (It's actually Hattie). Lucas worried that Bonnie would skip town with their baby.

10/1/18-10/5/18: To protect Marlena, John went ahead and married (in a phony ceremony) Hattie so she wouldn't reveal that Marlena wasn't dead. Later, Hattie told John that Kristen was in the hospital and that she had a gun. Kristen found Marlena and threatened to shoot her, just as Kayla came to check on Marlena. A shot was fired, which caused part of the ceiling to fall on Roman before he could get to Kristen. Kristen took off when Kayla grabbed the gun before John arrived and saw that Marlena was out of her coma. Sami realized that Hattie was impersonating Marlena. Sami was cleared of shooting Marlena, who recalled seeing a second person with a gun. A ballistics test proved that Sami hadn't fired the bullet that struck Marlena. Rafe told Hope that someone had transferred Ben's fingerprints to the gas can used to set the cabin fire that nearly killed Ciara.
 
10/8/18-10/12/18: Via camera footage of the town square, Marlena recognized Xander standing in the distance holding a gun, and told John and Sami that Xander shot her. John began a search for Xander. Eric found Nicole in Nashville, and told her that Brady admitted to making her dump him by threatening to reveal that she killed Deimos. After both admitted that they still love each other, Nicole said she couldn’t leave with Eric, just as Xander stepped out of the dark. Xander told Eric that he meant to shoot him, but he stepped aside and the bullet hit Marlena. In order to be together, Nicole insisted to Eric that they would have to kill Xander. Mimi was livid that Bonnie told Lucas that Mimi’s baby is Bonnie and Lucas’ so that Lucas won’t send Bonnie back to prison. Kristen and Brady made love, but Brady is secretly planning to bring Kristen down. Rafe refused to team up with Sami to find EJ.
 
10/15/18-10/19/18: Brady secretly tailed Kristen to a compound in Nashville where she and Xander were holding a hostage. Xander knocked Brady out before he could see the prisoner, and Kristen later hit Brady with the butt of a gun after realizing he used her to find EJ. Xander and Kristen moved the prisoner, who said “Samantha.” Sami found Brady, and they broke into Xander’s warehouse. Nicole escaped from Xander. Gabi has been drugging Abigail and planting evidence to make it seem that she is Gabby again. Gabi then advised Chad to have Abigail committed. Ben had second thoughts about helping Claire break up Tripp and Ciara (so that he could have Ciara and Claire could have Tripp). Mimi, who is actually the mother of Baby Bonnie, panicked when Lucas said he plans to sue Bonnie for full custody of the baby he thinks is his child. Rex Brady is back in town.
 
10/22/18-10/26/18: At Kristen and Xander’s warehouse, Nicole searched for Eric and ignored Brady when he asked her to let him out of a locked room. Eric didn’t get an answer when he asked Kristen about all the people held hostage in the compound. Sami rescued EJ, whom Dr. Rolf injected with a serum that brought him out of a deathlike state. Brady and Eric rescued baby Holly, but Nicole was presumed dead when Dr. Rolf’s lab exploded. As Dr. Rolf was attempting to escape the inferno, Kristen walked into the flames. Mimi told Belle that baby Bonnie is Mimi and Rex Brady’s daughter. Rex later saw baby Bonnie, but had no idea that he was her father. Rex got caught up with his father, Roman. Chad and JJ didn’t believe Abigail’s claim that Gabi drugged her to make it appear that “Gabby” is back. John is desperate to get rid of Hattie. Sarah Horton returned to Salem.
 
10/29/18-11/2/18: Abigail divorced Chad and married Stefan to prevent Chad from sending her to a mental hospital, since he believes Gabi’s claim that Abigail’s alter, Abby, is back. Eve consoled Brady, who was devastated by Nicole’s death in the explosion that also killed Kristen. After they made love, Eve believed that she and Brady would eventually get back together, until he admitted that he and Nicole had also recently made love. Feeling betrayed, Eve walked out on Brady and left for New York City. Hattie tore up divorce papers that John had drawn up after realizing that Roman had only pretended to love her to get her to divorce John. Hoping to get Tripp back, Claire told him that Gabi volunteered to help Ben get a job. Kayla told Sami that because the “mystery man” she thinks is EJ is badly burned, they can’t do a DNA test or blood test to verify his identity. Maggie held an engagement party for Sarah and Rex.

11/5/18-11/9/18: Sami was elated when a DNA test showed that the burn victim was EJ. Susan, who is EJ’s mother, was furious when she learned that Sami had kept her in the dark about EJ being alive, and later managed to sneak EJ out of the hospital. After agreeing that they both want what is best for EJ, Sami and Susan took him to a private burn facility in Europe. Sarah was devastated when, during her and Rex’s engagement party, Chloe told everyone that baby Bonnie was Mimi’s baby. Mimi revealed that the baby’s name is actually Emily and that Rex is Emily's father. Sarah dumped Rex. Bonnie, who has been on the run, was returned to Pentonville Prison to serve the remainder of her time. Gabi was angry when she learned that Chad had kidnapped Abigail to protect her. Hope and Rafe are still working to prove that Ben tried to kill Ciara. John and Marlena prepared to say their “I do’s.”
 
11/12/18-11/16/18: At the Horton cabin on Smith Island, Chad panicked when Abigail, whom he had kidnapped, went into labor and he had to help deliver her daughter, Charlotte. Back in Salem, Chad handed Charlotte over to Stefan after he gave Chad the paperwork needed to have Abigail committed to Bayview mental hospital again. Abigail was livid when Gabi came to “visit” her. Stefan forced Gabi to admit she had been drugging Abigail and making it appear Abigail was Gabby again as revenge for Abigail’s lie that sent Gabi to prison on a murder charge. Ciara told Ben that she’s with Tripp when he said he had feelings for her, and assured Ben he would someday find someone who loves him. Ben confronted Claire after Wyatt admitted she paid him to tell Hope and Rafe that he framed Ben for setting the cabin fire. Lucas said goodbye to Chloe and then left town.
 
11/19/18-11/23/18: Abigail was furious when Gabi, who visited her at Bayview mental hospital, admitted that she had been drugging Abigail and dressing her up like Gabby. As Gabi continued taunting Abigail, Abigail suddenly lunged at Gabi and put her hands on her throat just as Chad walked in. Abigail was then taken to a padded room, and Gabi was pleased that she got revenge against Abigail. Ben told a stunned Ciara that Tripp, in cahoots with Claire, had framed him for setting the cabin fire that nearly killed her, and that Claire paid Wyatt to take the blame for the deed. Ciara later broke up with Tripp. Abe and Valerie agreed to try a long-distance relationship after she received a prestigious job in Washington, D.C. Paul said goodbye to John and Brady and went to California for rehab. Jennifer blasted Chad for giving Charlotte to Stefan. Doug and Julie hosted Thanksgiving at Doug’s Place.
 
11/26/18-11/30/18: Will and Sonny got back together and were talking about their future when the supposedly deceased Leo arrived on their doorstep. Leo, who wants revenge, taunted Will, who thought he'd accidentally killed Leo during a confrontation. Leo told Will and Sonny that he came to after they rolled him up in a carpet and disposed of his “body.” Leo said that even though he was severely wounded, he got to safety and was able to recuperate. Leo agreed to not tell anyone that Will attempted to kill him and Sonny had sexually harassed him if Sonny kept a former promise to marry him. Ted returned to Salem, told Hope that Kate had held him captive, and asked Hope for help. Hope agreed, if Ted finds proof that Ben set the cabin fire. Eric decided to raise his infant daughter, Holly, by himself. Hope was livid when Rafe said that he saw Ciara and Ben kissing. Chad visited Abigail at Bayview.

12/3/18-12/7/18: Hope, who hid Ted at the family’s cabin on Smith Island, pressured him to meet with Ben and get a confession that Ben set the fire that nearly killed Ciara. After going to Smith Island and finding signs that suggested Hope was there with a man (Ted), Rafe, who originally believed Hope was working on a revenge plan against Ben, wrongly suspected that she might be having an affair. Sonny and Will confronted Kate and Chad, after learning that Kate was behind Leo’s false harassment accusation against Sonny that cost Sonny his job and ruined Titan. Leo arrived and showed Will and Sonny surveillance photos of them putting his body in a rug. Stefan, who thinks that Gabby is back, took Abigail out of Bayview. Lucas told Chloe that he is going to Europe to be with Allie. Gabi had a copy of a DNA test showing that baby Charlotte is Chad’s, not Stefan’s, child.
 
12/10/18-12/14/18: Sonny married Leo, who is blackmailing him, in order to keep himself and Will from going to prison. Sonny insisted to Victor, who had tried to stop the wedding, that he had no choice. Sonny told Leo that as far as he was concerned, their “marriage” was nothing more than a business deal. Eric was looking forward to raising Nicole’s baby, Holly, until a letter written by Nicole before her death stated that she wanted Chloe to raise Holly. Eric reminded Chloe that Nicole’s last words to Eric were “Take care of my daughter.” Rafe warned Hope to be careful, but agreed to go along with her plan to get Ben to confess that he set the cabin fire. Julie agreed to help Abigail get proof that Gabi is up to no good. Gabi told Kate that she didn’t give Stefan the papers proving that Chad is Charlotte’s father. Julie celebrated her 50th anniversary in Salem.
 
12/17/18-12/21/18: Julie, who was trying to help Abigail prove that Gabi has been trying to make everyone think Abigail is Gabby again, snooped in Gabi’s room where she found the paternity test Gabi has (the one that shows Chad, not Stefan, is Baby Charlotte’s father). During a struggle over the paternity test, Julie fell down a flight of stairs. Doug, JJ and Chad worried about Julie, who was unconscious. Gabi considered smothering Julie and even suggested Kate could kill her. Leo threatened to ruin both Sonny and Will, who punched Leo when he taunted Will about bring able to sleep in Sonny’s bed. Hope confronted Ciara about dating Ben again, and vowed to prove to Ciara that he is still a killer. Abigail made Kayla promise not to reveal that she plans to divorce Stefan to stop him from sending her back to Bayview. JJ saved nurse Haley, who was attempting to commit suicide.
 
12/24/18-12/28/18: Abigail took off her Gabby wig and admitted to Stefan that she pretended to be Gabby again so Stefan would get her out of Bayview. Stefan was stunned when Abigail handed him divorce papers. Abigail then took Charlotte and walked out. Julie regained consciousness and told Chad that he is baby Charlotte’s father and that Gabi had tampered with the original paternity test. Kayla showed Chad a copy of the paternity test on the hospital computer. Abigail told Chad they were not getting back together. Chad wants Gabi arrested. JJ tried to get Haley, whose life he saved, to talk about her problems. Kate shocked Stefan when she told him that she killed his evil mother, Vivian, on purpose. Following their tradition, the Horton family hung name ornaments on the Christmas tree. New Year’s was celebrated at Doug’s Place.
 
12/31/18-1/4/19: Everyone was stunned when Eve returned to Salem and crashed the Horton Center New Year’s Eve party at Doug’s Place. In front of everyone, Eve began lashing out at the people she felt had wronged her, including JJ, Jennifer, Brady, Eric, Sarah and Chloe. Eve then stunned the partygoers further by introducing her “date,” Jack Deveraux, who supposedly died in an accident six years ago. Jennifer, who is Jack’s ex-wife, was upset when he said he didn’t remember her, and in fact doesn’t remember any of his past. Jennifer accused Eve of turning Jack against everyone by only telling him about the bad things they did to him in the past. Abigail, who is moving on with her life, told Gabi that she won’t press charges against her, but only for the sake of Gabi’s daughter Arianna. Kayla called JJ on his helping Haley cover up her suicide attempt. Eli and Lani made love.

1/7/19-1/11/19: Ciara began to worry that Ben might be reverting to form after learning that he, on orders from Stefan, had kidnapped Gabi. Ben insisted that he didn’t hurt Gabi, he just did what he was told. When Ben went to the DiMera mansion to tell Stefan that he was quitting his job, he found Chad, who is now the CEO of DiMera. Chad refused to hire Ben and suggested that he break up with Ciara. Stefan refused when Hope offered to make his kidnapping charges disappear if he blamed the kidnapping on Ben. Ciara ended things with Ben after having a talk with Abigail, who made her see that Ben may not have changed. Julie convinced Abigail to meet Chad for a date at Doug’s Place. Jack, who didn’t remember Kayla, was stunned when she said that they had been married and he had raped her after learning that she had an affair with Steve.
 
1/14/19-1/18/19: Abigail thanked Chad for trying to reunite her with her father, Jack, but told him it didn’t work. Chad also told Abigail that he had offered Eve a job in Paris to get her out of everyone’s lives, but she refused. Chad told Abigail that he loves her and wants to work things out with her, but she said she wasn’t ready to forgive him. Jack didn’t agree with Jennifer, who thinks they should get back together. Sarah was upset when Eric’s brother Rex, who is her ex-fiance, returned to town and asked Eric to help him get back together with her. Sarah stopped Rex, who threatened to kill Xander after learning that he is also back in town. When Marlena told Haley that their session was confidential, Haley revealed that she is an undocumented immigrant and that D.A. Melinda Trask, who is running for mayor, is her sister. Rafe told Hope that he was leaving town to help Sami.
 
1/21/19-1/25/19: Brady was sure that he was making a mistake when he accepted Victor’s offer to be CEO of Titan, and insisted on a contract stating that he would run the company his way. Abigail brought Charlotte to the DiMera mansion to spend time with Chad, but left with the baby after learning that the police had cleared Stefan. Eric was not sympathetic when Rex complained that he was unable to get Sarah to give him another chance. Worried about Sarah, who was upset that Eric spurned her advances, Eric was stunned to find her asleep in bed with Xander. Gabi asked Kate to use her influence at DiMera to keep on Chad as CEO of the company, because he offered Gabi control of Gabi Chic. Ted begged Kate to give him another chance. Leo fumed when he realized that Xander drugged him and let him think that they had slept together. Eve encouraged Jack to run for mayor.
 
1/28/19-2/1/19: Will was thrilled when he learned that John was able to find Leo’s long-lost mother, Diana Cooper, who stunned Leo when she showed up at the DiMera mansion to see her son, whose real name is Matthew. Diana introduced herself to Sonny, who left to tell Will that Diana is in Salem. Diana said that she would derail Leo’s “happy marriage” if he didn’t let her in on what he is up to. Eve was furious when she learned that Xander had stolen Dr. Rolf’s diary, which contains the formula for the serum that was used on Will to restore his memory. Jennifer had Will tell Jack about how he regained his memory with Dr. Rolf’s serum, but Jack was upset that it wouldn’t help him when Will revealed that Rolf’s diary was lost. Melinda Trask, who is running for mayor against Abe, warned Marlena not to tell anyone that Haley is her sister. Haley told JJ that she is an undocumented immigrant. Ciara went missing.

2/4/19-2/8/19: John met with Leo’s mother, Diana Cooper, and was surprised to see that she is Diana Colville, whom he had a romance with until she left Salem years ago after "accidentally" shooting him. Diana responded with a "boys will be boys" attitude when John asked for info on Leo. When Leo ordered Diana to leave town, she reminded him that she has evidence that he murdered his father. After telling Marlena about his meeting with Diana, John realized that he could be Leo’s birth father. Ciara’s abductor turned out to be Ben’s unhinged sister, Jordan, who thinks she is protecting Ciara from Ben. Jordan also kidnapped Abigail’s baby, Charlotte, to “protect” her after learning that Ben nearly kidnapped Abigail for Stefan. Stefan stabbed and killed a thug who wanted to kill Chloe because she killed his boss, drug dealer El Fideo. Tripp gave Claire another chance. Haley and JJ kissed.
 
2/11/19-2/15/19: Jordan, who had a mental break, failed to convince Ben to put himself back into Bayview mental hospital. Eli and Hope searched Ben’s hotel room and found Ciara’s cellphone and Charlotte’s baby blanket, which was planted by Jordan. Kate ran into Jordan, who injected her with a syringe full of drugs when she realized that Jordan kidnapped Charlotte. Kate was hospitalized, and she later flat-lined. Jordan returned Charlotte to Abigail after setting fire to the cabin (she also set the fire blamed on Ben) and leaving Ciara to die. Ben overpowered Eli, escaped from jail, and, joined by Chad, rescued Ciara from the burning cabin. Gabi kept Leo busy so that Will and Sonny could share a romantic Valentine’s Day together. Ted kissed Hope, who learned that Rafe’s plane home was delayed. Chloe and her children moved in with Stefan. Diana told John that he is Leo’s biological father.
 
2/18/19-2/22/19: After Charlotte’s rescue, Abigail and Chad made amends and then quickly remarried and moved to Paris with their two children. A furious Stefan realized he has lost “Gabby” (Abigail) forever. In Ciara’s hospital room after her rescue, a crazy Jordan planned to inject her with a lethal dose of drugs. Ben, who Jordan had knocked out, regained consciousness and struggled over the syringe with Jordan when Rafe arrived. Rafe arrested Jordan, who was later sent to Bayview Mental Hospital. Ciara told Rafe not to arrest Ben, who had saved her from Jordan. After Gabi, who had Leo tied to a bed, freed him, Leo showed Eli a video of Sonny and Will putting his “body” in a rug; then Sonny and Will were arrested on attempted murder charges. Kate survived Jordan’s attempt to kill her. Eve heard Melinda arguing with Haley about her immigration status.
 
2/25/19-3/1/19: Melinda ended up dropping out of the race for mayor against Abe after Jack blurted out during their debate that Melinda’s sister Haley is an undocumented immigrant. JJ was furious with Jack, whom he had told about Haley’s immigration status in confidence. Later, Haley blasted JJ for betraying her, left his apartment and went into hiding. Ben broke up with Ciara because he was afraid that in the future he might harm her. After Ciara agreed to forgive Claire for all the horrible things Claire had done to her, Claire flashed back to setting the first fire in the cabin after finding an unconscious Ciara. As Stefan and Chloe are getting closer, El Fideo’s men are again out to kill Chloe. Marlena was puzzled when John took Leo’s side as he taunted Will. Gabi gloated to Stefan about the DiMera board putting her back in charge of Gabi Chic, which he planned to dump.

3/4/19-3/8/19: Diana offered to get Leo to lay off Will and Sonny if, in return, Victor arranged to separate John and Marlena so that she can have John for herself. Victor later told Marlena that John and Diana were once involved years ago and that she left town without telling him that she was pregnant with his baby. Marlena confronted John, who admitted to believing that Leo is his son, but they decided to get Leo’s DNA to prove it. Diana decided to “get rid” of Marlena for good, after learning that Marlena and John didn’t split up. Stefan, who wants a romantic relationship with Chloe, hired Ben to keep tabs on her and watch out for El Fideo’s men, who are after her. A jealous Claire immediately tipped off the authorities after learning that Tripp was letting Haley hide from ICE agents at the loft. Rafe warned Ted to stay away from Hope. Rex pressed Eric to get Sarah, who said no, to accept Rex’s marriage proposal.
 
3/11/19-3/15/19: Leo caught John, who cracked Diana’s safe and took the document that proves that Leo killed his “father,” Richard Cooper. After telling Leo that he is his father, John gave Leo the document after Leo called the police and dropped the charges he lodged against Will and Sonny. Determined to have John for herself, Diana injected cookies with penicillin, knowing that Marlena is allergic to it, and signed a note with Haley’s name. Diana rushed to the hospital, where she was angry to find that Marlena had survived. Nurse Shelly, lying, said that Kristin injected Marlena. After getting a tip that Haley was hiding out in Tripp’s loft, Ted showed up with Eli and Lani, who arrested Haley. JJ hired Justin to defend Haley in court. Chloe and Stefan kissed, but she indicated that she isn’t ready for a relationship. Brady saw Eric and Sarah kissing.
 
3/18/19-3/22/19: While Kayla and Sarah tried to revive Marlena, who flatlined, Marlena had a vision of being in a white room with Tony DiMera, Princess Gina (Hope lookalike) and Andre, who are all dead, and except for Tony were ready to escort her to hell. After reliving all the bad and the good things that occurred in her lifetime, Marlena exited the white room. In the hospital, John was begging Marlena to come back to life, and while telling her how much he loves her, the heart monitor began beeping, and she opened her eyes. With Haley about to be deported, she accepted Tripp’s offer to marry her, which angered Claire. Ben insisted to Ciara they can’t be together after she was shot at by El Fideo’s thugs, who mistook her for Chloe. Diana worried she left her DNA behind when she tried to kill Marlena. Hope and Rafe confirmed their love at an anniversary dinner.
 
3/25/19-3/29/19: Diana was stunned when John said that he knows that she tried to kill Marlena and that she altered the DNA test to make it appear that John was Leo’s father. As Diana was being arrested, Leo was devastated when he learned that Richard Cooper really was his father. Leo’s life went downhill even faster after Sonny forced him to sign divorce papers. Sonny and Will laughed when Leo put a curse on Will, but Sonny later panicked when he found an unconscious Will, who was hospitalized. Stefan confronted Chloe after seeing her and Brady kissing, but she insisted that she and Brady are just friends. Using blackmail, Brady ordered Eric to get Chloe away from Stefan, threatening to tell Rex that he saw Eric and Sarah kissing. Rafe is looking for dirt on Ted, who, as acting district attorney, is working with Hope. Ted said his wife was dead when Diana claimed she recently saw her.

4/1/19-4/5/19: Hope was angry with Rafe, who told her he was going to California to get Jordan’s son, David, who had been in the care of a friend. After returning with the baby, Rafe was not happy to find Hope still working with Ted, whom she said was leaving his temporary district attorney job. Rafe is unaware that Ted kissed Hope. Eli became worried when he noted that Lani, who lost her baby, had an immediate attachment to Jordan’s baby, David. Claire pressured Eve to release a tape she made of Tripp admitting that his and Haley’s engagement was just a scheme to keep Haley from being deported. Eve and Jack planned a rally, during which they wanted to play the tape. Claire panicked when she learned that JJ was on his way to the police station with the lighter, which may have been used in the cabin fires, that he'd found in her jewelry box. Eric kept mum about his feelings for Sarah.
 
4/8/19-4/12/19: Will and Sonny were devastated when they learned that Will has a brain tumor and needs surgery that could kill him. Rafe was upset that Hope rejected his offer to help take care of Jordan’s baby, David. Rafe took David and moved out after Hope admitted that Ted said he loved her and asked her to leave Rafe. Claire admitted to Eve that she set the cabin fire that nearly killed Ciara. Eve assured Claire that Ben would be taking the fall for the fire. Claire crashed Tripp and Haley’s wedding planning to play a recording of the couple admitting that they're getting married only to keep Haley from being deported. Jack told Jennifer, who tried to stop him, that he was going to marry Eve, but Eve worried when Jack didn’t show for their quickie wedding. Abe, who is running against Jack for mayor, backed off when Abe and Sheila nearly kissed in public.
 
4/15/19-4/19/19: Eli saved Chloe, who was about to be shot by one of the drug cartel thugs. At the DiMera mansion, another cartel thug threatened Ciara (who was there with Ben) and Gabi, who sent a text to Rafe for help. Ben and Rafe arrived together, just as a cartel thug held a gun on Ciara. Rafe was shot as he pushed Gabi away from another thug. Gabi ran to Rafe, who was later hospitalized, and Ben went after Ciara, who was taken hostage by yet another cartel thug. Hope and Ben teamed up to rescue Ciara. Fearing that Tripp would go to prison, Claire kept mum that his and Haley's wedding was a sham. Adrienne failed to prevent Jack from saying his “I do’s” with Eve. Will had a seizure just before undergoing a biopsy to see if his brain tumor is cancerous. At the hospital, Eli told Rafe that he heard Ted talking to someone on the phone about Hope and Chloe.
 
4/22/19-4/26/19: Ciara was held prisoner by cartel thug Hector, who told Hope via phone that Ciara would be freed if Hope arranged for him to get out of the country alive. Ciara distracted Hector as Ben arrived on the scene, but Ben was knocked unconscious. Ben came to as Ciara caused Hector to drop his gun, which Ben used to knock Hector out. Hope and Eli arrested Hector. Later, Ben and Ciara made love for the first time. Right after Nicole returned to Salem, a mystery person kidnapped Holly, her daughter with Brady. Eric finally admitted to Sarah that he still loves her. Victor hired Kate to run his company, Titan. Ted covered when Kate caught him on the phone talking to a mystery person about Chloe. Gabi seduced Stefan as part of her scheme to take him for everything he has. Will and Sonny learned that Will’s tumor is benign, but he needs chemotherapy.
 
4/29/19-5/3/19: While everyone was searching for Holly, it was revealed that Ted had kidnapped the child for Xander. Xander also ordered Ted to get cartel thug Hector out of jail. Sarah and Eric planned to tell Rex that they have feelings for each other and were stunned to find Rex with Nicole. Nicole revealed that someone had rescued her from the same explosion that Xander had survived and that she spent the time she was supposedly dead recovering from the fire at a hospital. Nicole blamed Chloe after learning from Sarah that Holly was missing. Sarah realized that she has lost Eric now that Nicole is back. Valerie broke up with Abe after Jack displayed a photo of Sheila and Abe kissing during a mayoral debate. Sheila told Abe that she is leaving town. Claire fumed about having to leave the loft because Tripp and Haley are married.

5/6/19-5/10/19: Against Hope’s objections, Rafe took off after Ted, who was to arrange to get Holly back after Hector was released from jail, which caused Hector's goons to take off. Rafe followed the car driven by Hector’s thugs and told Hope via phone that he was after Holly’s kidnapper and that the speeding car, with Holly inside, had gone over a cliff and exploded into flames. Angry about what happened, Rafe threw his wedding ring over the cliff. Later, Rafe and Hope decided to end their marriage. Nicole, who is unaware that Xander has Holly, blamed Eric for Holly’s “death” because he gave her to Chloe. Eve confronted Haley after Claire gave her a second recording of Tripp admitting that his and Haley’s marriage is a sham. Ben decided he wants to play a major part in the life of his sister Jordan’s son, David, but Lani disagreed.
 
5/13/19-5/17/19: In the fallout of Holly’s “death,” Hope suspended Rafe from the police force. After seeing him in a cozy scene with Lani and David, Hope sent Rafe divorce papers, which he signed. Hope was stunned when, also because of Holly’s “death,” she was fired. Ted quit his job as temporary district attorney when he couldn’t confirm from Xander’s actions whether Holly was alive or dead. Just before ICE was due to take Haley away, Melinda confessed that she is Haley’s mother, not her sister. Later, Haley and JJ went on the run. Claire went postal when Tripp dumped her after learning that she and Eve sent ICE after Haley. Lani told Ciara that there was no way Ben would be allowed to spend time with his nephew David. Kayla told Will and Sonny that the medical formula Will used to regain his memory caused his tumor. Xander has the formula.
 
5/20/19-5/24/19: Brady gave Xander a job at Titan in order to get him to divorce Nicole. John vowed to find Dr. Rolf’s diary containing the ingredients for the serum that restored Will’s memory but has caused severe mood changes and a brain tumor. Jack won the mayoral race and shocked everyone by naming Eve the new police commissioner. Eve plans to send Ben, who killed her daughter Paige when he was mentally ill, to prison by framing him for the cabin fire that nearly killed Ciara. Ben was surprised to walk in on Claire, who hid the lighter that she'd used to set the cabin fire and planned to burn Tripp’s clothes with. While talking about Holly’s funeral, Nicole, who is Xander’s partner, reminded him that Holly is very much alive.
 
5/27/19-5/31/19: A drunken Maggie went to confront Nicole and was stunned when the supposedly deceased Kristen DiMera (Xander’s real partner posing as Nicole) opened and then quickly shut the door. Kristen opened the door again wearing a Nicole mask, told Maggie she was drunk and was seeing things, and slammed the door in her face again. Xander told Kristen -- who used Dr. Rolf’s formula to come back from the dead -- that her plan to win Brady by posing as Nicole is not going to work. Later, Eric tried to convince Nicole (Kristen) that he loves her. Believing Claire set the cabin fire, Ben had Marlena hypnotize him, but all he remembered was hearing a cellphone (Claire’s) ring. Brady didn’t believe Maggie when she told him that she saw Kristen. Will’s condition is getting worse. Jennifer was hopeful that Jack’s memory was returning when he recalled a bit of their past.
 
6/3/19-6/7/19: When Claire’s cellphone rang while she waited on Ben and Ciara’s table, Ben realized it was the ringtone he heard just before he rescued Ciara from the burning cabin. Ben set out to confront Claire as Marlena realized that Claire had set the cabin fire. To get Brady’s attention, Kristen (disguised as Nicole) falsely said that Eric attacked her. Kristen (as Nicole) had a hissy-fit after Brady told her that there was no way they would get back together. While searching for the formula that Dr. Rolf used to resurrect Will, who is dying, Eric told Sarah that Rolf had developed a facial mask that could change a person’s appearance. Xander made a drunk Maggie think she had merely imagined seeing Kristen. JJ left Haley with Tripp and went to Salem to stop Jack from jailing Jennifer for assault. Claire set fire to the Horton cabin after finding Tripp and Haley together.
 
6/10/19-6/14/19: Ben followed Claire to Smith Island and found the cabin on fire. Ben used a cloth to pick up the lighter that Claire used to start the blaze. Eli, who was after Ben, arrived and, seeing Ben with the lighter, arrested him on an arson charge. Eli saved Tripp and Haley, who was hospitalized. Eve was stunned when Claire admitted to starting the cabin fire, but told her to keep mum so that Eve would see that Ben took the fall and wound up in prison for life. Only Ciara believed Ben’s claim that Claire is the firebug who nearly killed Ciara, Tripp and Haley. Rafe convinced Lani to move on after pointing out that she thinks of baby David as her own child, and the three of them as a family. Xander gave up Rolf’s diary with the formula that could save Will’s life. JJ and Haley said goodbye as she was about to be deported.
 
6/17/19-6/21/19: After Will went into cardiac arrest, Rex and Sarah came up with an antidote to the formula in Dr. Rolf ‘s diary that brought Will back to life and caused Will’s brain tumor. Will’s parents, Sami and Lucas, and other family members were on hand when Marlena pronounced Will and Sonny married at the hospital. When Will told Sami he saw Caroline when he “died,” she told him that Caroline had actually just died. (“Days” used these scenes as a tribute to the late Peggy McCay, who played Caroline for 33 years.) Ciara and Tripp teamed up to get a confession after Ciara told him that Claire had set both fires at the Horton cabin. Eve told Claire that she needs professional help, reminding her that she nearly killed three people. Stefan was surprised that Nicole (Kristen) has a copy of Holly’s autopsy report.
 
6/24/19-6/28/19: Eric, who was about to tell Sarah that he loves her, reluctantly agreed to officiate for Rex and Sarah, who decided to get married right away. On orders from Kristen, Xander met Ted with the intention of murdering him. Ted bribed Xander with an expensive diamond necklace. Xander took the necklace and is holding Ted hostage. Xander falsely told Kristen (Nicole) that Ted is dead. Xander, who planned to give Sarah the necklace, was shocked when he learned that Sarah had married Rex. Kayla told Jack that Dr. Rolf’s brain formula may help him recover his memory, but it’s dangerous. Will agreed to give Rolf’s diary to Jack after he dropped all charges against JJ and Haley. Xander put Kate in the cell with Ted after learning that she was listening at the door when Xander told Kristen (Nicole) that he killed Ted. A NOTE TO READERS: Sadly, I've made the decision to retire from column writing. Victor tries to be a teetotaler by banning liquor from the mansion. Kristen - Nicole - is furious when she learns Xander did not kill Ted or Kate. Marlena is horrified when she has to reveal that Claire started the fires. Hope cannot believe her daughter would try to kill Ciara and blame it on Ben. John comforts Marlena as she deals with the fallout of the burning. Eve is unhappy when Jack wants to regain the memory of his children. Lani accepts Eli's marriage proposal.
 
7/8/19-7/12/19 (via "Days" daily previews): "Nicole" is surprised by what she finds in the secret room; Hope grills Xander about Ted's disappearance; Rex makes a reluctant confession to Sarah; Brady reveals to Chloe Gabi's plot to destroy Stefan. Marlena and Ciara blast Eve for using Claire; Claire says farewell to Salem; Shawn and Belle comfort each other over their daughter's situation; Tripp reconnects with Haley. Kristen confronts Xander about his betrayal; Ted comes clean with Kate; Hope and Eli start to put the pieces together; Ben and Ciara try to process what happened with Claire. "Nicole" attacks Stefan. Hope rips into Eve for keeping quiet about Claire. Sarah catches Maggie in a weak moment. Xander has second thoughts about his plans for Ted and Kate. 7/15/19-7/19/19: Xander gets even with Kristen by stealing her Nicole mask. Kristen as Susan Banks slobbers all over Brady, who pushes her away. Her divorce from Rafe final, Hope wonders if she should try for romance with Ted. Jordan tells Rafe she wants him to have custody of David and wants Ben kept far away from him. Julie fumes when she finds Gabi and Stefan kissing. Gabi is unable to fight her attraction for Stefan. Eli and Lani continue to see their love grow. Fired by Stefan, Nicole (Kristen) is uneasy when Brady offers her a job at Titan. Maggie hides another flask. Eric wonders if he should leave Salem; Nicole hates him, he is no longer a priest and cannot be open about his feelings for Sara, as she is married to his brother. Jack's decision not to take the serum has Jennifer looking for love elsewhere. Jack feels bad that JJ lost his apartment because Haley was living with him. When Jack swears he is not a bigot, Jennifer tells him to prove it.
 
7/22/19-7/26/19: Gabi is upset when she learns Stefan had been kicked out of DiMera Enterprises. Brady admits to Kristen (really Nicole) that he never has had a successful relationship. Haley has a nightmare about Claire coming back to kill her. Tripp gives Haley a tranquilizer he got at the hospital. Finding Eve as she tries to burn Dr. Rolf's diary, Jack is livid. Eve swears it was to keep him from remembering his unhappy past with Jennifer. Jack's anger grows when he learns the serum she gave him was really sugar water. JJ is thrilled Jack has agreed to take the serum. Realizing Jennifer shill has a thing for Jack, Henry ends their date. Susan and Kristen pretending to be Susan come face to face. Eric and Sarah admit they love each other, but she is married to Rex and he cannot hurt his brother. Eric assures a worried Marlena he is going to meetings and deciding what to do with his life.
 
7/29/19-8/2/19: After Sarah murmurs Eric's name in her sleep, Rex pressures her to admit they have feelings for each other. Storming out, Rex heads to Eric's apartment. Eric is uneasy when he finds Rex waiting in his apartment. Nicole - or Kristen as Nicole - thinks she has won everything she wanted when she gets Tony to marry her. Gabi beat her to the punch and married Stefan. When Shin does not want Stefan as head of the company, Gabi tells Stefan to sign everything over to her. Once Stefan is cleared of kidnapping charges, she will turn it over to him. Just after a defeated Nicole exits, Gabi laughs in Stefan's face and throws him out of the mansion and the company. Jack storms off after Jennifer tells him he was a lousy mayor. Eli accepts Jack's offer to be police commissioner. Jack is crushed when he learns there is nothing left of Dr. Rolf's serum. Ciara and Ben continue to make beautiful love music. Kate suggests to Xander that they work together. Hope is stunned when she finds a fortune in Ted's apartment. Not buying Ted's story about the money, she takes off the necklace and leaves. Heartbroken and furious, Ted destroys the necklace.

8/5/19-8/9/19: Kristen puts Ted's body in Tony's trunk. Taking him to his apartment, Kristen heads to the park in order to get rid of any evidence. Hope does not realize who it is but finds a $100 bill and is suspicious when the person does not take the cash from Hope. While dumpster diving, Hope finds the necklace Ted gave her. Finding a gun-toting Stefan over Ted's body, Eli arrests him. Rafe wonders why Gabi insists Stefan did not kidnap Kate and he did not kill Ted. Out on bail, Stefan goes to the DiMera mansion. He warns Gabi he will grind her to dust for having tricked him into marriage. After sleeping with Nicole, Brady's thoughts turn to Kristen. Just as "Nicole" is about to reveal her true identity, Tony arrives. Unable to hide their love for one another, Eric and Sarah take it to the bedroom. Rex is blindsided when he realizes Eric and Sarah made love. Unable to work at the same hospital as Sarah and not wanting to be in the same town as Eric, Rex leaves Salem. Tony tells Kristen there is only one woman for him: Anna. Roman is surprised when Anna walks into the Brady Pub.
 
8/12/19-8/16/19: Ben agrees to help Stephan prove Nicole murdered Ted. Brady reveals to John that since sleeping with Nicole, he keeps thinking about Kristen. Despite John's warnings, Brady allows himself to be seduced by Nicole. Kristen warns Tony she will kill Anna if he tries to back out on their business deal. Kate and Roman are stunned when Anna, carrying Toni's ashes in her purse, strolls into the pub. She is ready let the ashes go and move on with her life. It takes a while, but they convince her Tony is alive. Anna and Tony run into each other at Horton Square. First, she slaps him for not letting her know he was alive and being married to Nicole. Tony calms her down and asks her to be patient. She says she has been patient; he is the love of her life, but he has one day to get rid of Nicole. Hope asks John to prove Nicole killed Ted. Julie plans an engagement party for Eli and Lani. Eve hires Justin to sue Jack for wrongful termination. Jack goes ballistic when Jennifer writes a negative piece about his job as mayor. Tripp admits to Kayla he is falling for Haley. Tripp and Haley are in trouble when Kayla learns Tripp got a prescription for sedatives to give to Haley. Jack rehires Melinda to be DA. Having no contact from Steve in a year, Kayla wonders if and when she will hear from her husband. Anna confronts Nicole. Roman steps in when Anna goes for her jugular vein. Anna tells Tony that if he does not divorce Nicole, Anna plans to marry Roman. Hope and John get Sander to admit he knows who killed Ted. As Ben and Ciara are rummaging through Nicole's hotel room, Kate shows up. The duo hides under the bed while Kate is confronting Nicole. Rafe tells Stefan he thinks Gabi does love him.
 
8/19/19-8/23/19: Everyone in Salem is beginning to realize Nicole is two-faced; she is really Kristen. Eric's unhappiness about Nicole being with Eric has Sarah wondering if she made the right choice in divorcing Rex. After visiting Nicole, Eric realizes he no longer has feelings for her. A delighted Sarah heads for the shower with Eric. Finding Xander's suitcase, Will and sonny discover he is on Kristen's payroll. Xander reveals he is working with Kristen. Mr. Shin pressures Kate to help get rid of Gabi and Nicole so she can return as CEO. After clobbering Stefan and Gabi, Kristen hides them in her secret room. Stefan and Gabi go from loathing to love-making. Talking to Stefano's portrait, Kristen wonders what to do with them - kill them, keep them trapped or maybe set them free. Kristen decides she should have Tony kill them. Tony refuses. Heading off to Marlena and John's dueling surprise parties, Kristen packs a gun. When Susan shows up, Kristen pulls the gun on her. At the party, John realizes Kristen is Nicole and pulls off her mask - a mask made by using one of Dr. Rolf's mad genius experiments. Roman thinks Anna's marriage scheme has gone to far. After admitting to Kayla he has fallen for Haley, Tripp finds JJ and Haley making out on the sofa. JJ suggests it might be best if they move out. After John pulls off "Nicole's" mask, revealing she is Kristen, she explains she did what she did for two reasons: to regain control of her father's company and to reunite with Brady. Pulling out her gun, she says she is going to get one more thing: She is going to kill Marlena. The not-dead Susan hits Kristen over her head. Eli arrests Kristen. At the police station, Brady confronts Kirsten. Asking how many people she killed, she responds that she didn't kill anyone.
 
8/26/19-8/30/19: It's a moving week in Salem as Tripp gets accepted to medical school in California and Chloe lands a gig in a New York-based opera company. Learning that Xander knew all along that Nicole and Holly were alive, Sarah slaps him. Xander responds by sharing his love for her and promises to be waiting for her if Eric dumps her. After Anna rescues them, Stefan and Gabi admit they love each other. When Victor refuses to name Kate CEO of Titan, she takes Shin's offer and takes that position at DiMera. Kayla and Jack make a deal; she will help disprove Eve's wrongful termination lawsuit if he will start treating Jennifer with respect. Hope realizes Ted did love her. Maggie is overjoyed when she learns Holly is alive. Xander tells her he is trying to be a better person. Kristen and Jack strike a deal: her freedom for location info on Dr. Rolf, Holly and Nicole. Jack, Jennifer and Eric head to the Chicago address she provided. When the door opens, the trio is stunned by what they see. Bad day for Julie. Eli suggests she sometimes uses terms that could be considered racist. Lani is uneasy about her engagement party at Doug's Place because the events held there are filled with drama. At the park, she sees Gabi and collapses. Finding the gun Kate used to shoot Vivian, Stefan holds it on Kate.

9/2/19-9/6/19: Thinking Julie is faking her heart attack, Gabi walks away. Coming on the scene, Ben gives lifesaving CPR. Julie manages to survive, but she needs a heart transplant. Victor orders Xander to kill Ben. Ciara gets a job at Titan. Jack and Jennifer are stunned when they open the door in Chicago and find Dr. Rolf. Rolf agrees to come back to Salem; in return, he gets a lab, money and complete control of a facility at the hospital. Stefan is overjoyed when a very much alive Vivian shows up. Vivian is furious that Kate is living in the mansion and heading DiMera. A gunning-toting Vivian finds Kate in the park. Kate offers Vivian a deal if she does not shoot her. Vivian shoots Kate and buries her alive. Eric and Nicole are overjoyed when they are reunited. Sarah decides not to stand in the way of true love and plans to set Eric free. Sarah is touched when Xander reveals his undying love for her and what an amazing person she is. Sarah is horrified when her pregnancy test is positive. When Ben tells Victor he will not break up with Ciara, Victor orders Xander to strangle Ben. While following his orders, Xander has a change of heart and sets Ben free. When Xander releases Ben, Victor takes over. Xander delivers Ben to Brady and Victor. Nicole, Eric and Holly bask in their reunion. Kayla comforts Sarah, who promises to stand by her. Brady tries to assure Ciara and himself that he has no feelings for Kristen. Brady walks in as Victor is strangling Ben.
 
9/9/19-9/13/19: Gabi is horrified when she learns Vivian shot Kate but agrees to let her stay at the mansion for Stefan's sake. Rushed into surgery, Kate flatlines. Doug is heartbroken when he is told Julie is too old for a transplant; Doug assures Hope he will find a way to get the heart Julie needs. Seeing Kristen, Nicole starts to attack her. Eric breaks it up. Brady, Nicole and Eric make amends. Though he denies it, it is obvious Brady is still attracted to Kristen. Jennifer and JJ are thrilled when Jack agrees to take Rolf's memory-enhancing drug. To that end, Kayla gives Rolf a lab at the office. Having lost her wrongful termination suit, Eve's ire spikes when she learns about the lab. A pregnant Sarah considers an abortion. Finding Sarah's pregnancy test, Xander says he will stand by her, Maggie tells Xander she is fond of him but to stay away from Sarah. Maggie is horrified when Xander tells her Victor ordered him to kill Ben. When Xander refused, Victor took over. Coming on the scene, Brady stopped him. Xander tells Nicole he will give her a divorce so she can marry Eric. Kristen vows she will get her man - who is Brady. As Will prepares to see Kate, Vivian, dressed in doctor scrubs, prepares to give Kate a lethal injection. Jennifer tells Eve she will get even for destroying the secret to Jack's memory.
 
9/16/19-9/20/19: Eve swears to Jack she did not trash Dr. Rolf's lab. She insists she has a better way to get rid of Jennifer, who she despises. While cleaning up the lab, Jennifer is abducted. Ben's joy at being able to see baby David as Rafe is named the guardian is shattered when Jordan appears and says Ben will never be allowed near Ben. Doug calms Julie when she tries to get out of the hospital. Just as he is getting Julie orange juice, Gabi comes into Julie's room to explain she didn't think Julie was really having a heart attack. Not in a mood to forgive Gabi, Julie says she and Nick will destroy her in the afterlife. Hope walks in as Gabi is yelling at Julie. Vivian turns off Kate's life support. Kayla arrives in time to save Kate's life but tells Will his grandmother is now in a coma. Xander tells Sarah that, whatever she decides or needs to be about her pregnancy, he will be by her. Nicole and Eric make love. Jack is concerned when Jennifer does not show up for their lunch date with JJ. A kidnapped Jennifer spits in the face of her abductor when they try to give her water. Henry Shah, the doctor she rejected, reveals himself to Jennifer. John tells Brady he understands his obsession with Kristen, as he once had the same feelings for her. To prove she is not pure evil, Kristen goes to court and says Tony shot Ted accidentally. Jordan, declared sane, is released from the sanitarium. Fearing Ben is still mentally ill, Jordan tells Ben to stay away from her son and warns Ciara she needs to be careful around Ben. Trying to prove to Brady she is a better person, Kristen locates Dr. Rolf so he can make the memory-restoring serum for Jack. Xander accidentally let Kristen know Sarah is pregnant. Kristen uses the info to force Xander to do his bidding or she will tell Eric. Abe turns down Eve's suggestion that they team up to bring down Jack. Kristen tells Xander things will be perfect for both of them. Xander is going to get hold of the baby Sarah is carrying, it will be implanted in Kristen and Brady will think he is the father.
 
9/23/19-9/27/19: Hope promises Julie she will take care of Doug, from picking up dry cleaning to making sure he eats. Maggie is stunned when Julie asks her to divorce Victor and marry Doug. In Salem to be at Kate's bedside, Lucas realizes he has the power to take her off life support and provide a heart for Julie. As Kayla is about to take Kate off life support, Kate comes out of her coma and remembers Vivian shot her. Unbeknownst to anyone else Dr. Rolf gave her his back-to-life serum. Will confronts Stefan and Vivian: He knows Vivian shot his grandmother. Kristen blackmails Xander: She will tell Eric that Sarah's expecting his child, unless he helps her get Sarah's embryo. When Sarah goes for her abortion, Kristen enlists Dr. Rolf to make the switch. Kristen is stunned when Rolf says the switch won't be needed because she's pregnant. Kristen cannot wait to tell Brady. When Sarah decides not to have the abortion, Xander says he will be by her every step of the way. Ciara tries to calm Ben when Jordan refuses to let him see baby David. Alone with the baby, Jordan vows she will kill anyone who tries to keep her away from her son. When Marlena is unable to help Ben put Jordan back in the sanitarium, he plans to find another way to get rid of his sister. Shah continues to hold Jennifer hostage at Ted's old apartment. Jack arrives and scuffles with Shah. Bumping his head in the altercation, Jack's memories come pouring back. He sees a knife-wielding Shah preparing to attack Jennifer. Springing into action, Jack overtakes and kills Shah.
 
9/30/19-10/4/19: Jennifer and JJ are over the moon when Jack's memory returns. While Jack is also thrilled, he's finding it hard to deal with his past misdeeds - like raping Kayla. Kate forgives Lucas for considering taking her off life support. Kate announces she is suing Kayla because she made such dire predictions on the fate of Kate's survival. After a less than cordial conversation, Kate decides not to file a lawsuit. Julie's friends and family rally around when she learns that because Kate is on the mend, she cannot get a lifesaving transplant. Nicole is stunned when Xander gives her a hassle-free divorce. Nicole returns to work at the Horton Center. Convinced that Kristen is pregnant, Brady is not certain he is the father. When Ciara is almost mowed down, Ben thinks Jordan was driving the car, which she denies. Gabi and Stefan revel in their love. Stefan heads out to help Vivian get out of Salem. Lani spots Vivian and prepares to shoot her. Stepping between Lani and Vivian, Stefan is shot. When Sarah says she is leaving town, Xander professes his love for her. When Sarah says he is a friend but can never be more, he says he knows. He begs her to stay because she has made him a better person. He fears if she goes, he will return to the dark side. Convincing Doug to take her to Doug's Place, Julie goes down memory lane with the love of her life. Doug is overcome when she loses consciousness. Gabi arrives at the hospital just as Stefan codes. Hopeful when he is brought back to life, Gabi spins out of control when Kayla says he was without oxygen for 20 minutes and is brain-dead. Deciding there is nothing left for her in Salem, Eve decides to leave town. Jack and Jennifer wonder if Eve will give Jack a trouble-free divorce.

10/7/19-10/11/19: Before leaving town, Vivian talks Eve into staying in Salem and wreaking havoc on Jack and Jennifer. Despite Kayla's saying Stefan is brain dead, Gabi refuses to believe he will not get better. Rafe gets Gabi to realize Stefan is not coming back. Despite everyone's pleas, Gabi refuses to let Stefan's heart be used for Julie. Gabi has a change of heart and agrees to the transplant. Although cleared by Internal Affairs, Lani cannot forgive herself for shooting Stefan. Jennifer is touched when Jack gives her a jade plant like the one he gave her years ago. Back in the hospital, Julie slips into a coma. Kayla tells them Stefan might be a viable heart donor. Victor is stunned when Brady moves Kristen into the mansion. Rebuffed when she tries to seduce Brady, Kristen promises herself she will get through to him. Dr. Rolf injects Hope. He is getting even because she shot Stefano. Rafe finds an unconscious Hope in the chapel. Gabi agrees to give Julie Stefan's heart if Lani will beg and grovel. Xander decides if Eric learns he fathered Sarah's baby, she will not leave town. He gets Rolf to give the information to Eric. Kayla tosses Rolf out of the hospital.
 
10/14/19-10/18/19: Gabi's decision to let Julie have Stefan's heart has Julie's friends and family hopeful. Hope's odd behavior concerns John and Marlena. Deciding he was wrong to send Eric the letter about Sarah being pregnant, Xander thinks Rolf can help him with the message. Rolf agrees, but Xander has to build the mad scientist a new lab. Nicole is stunned when she opens the letter meant for Eric and realizes Sarah is pregnant. Nicole decides to keep the information to herself. Jordan feels vindicated when a drunk driver confesses to Ciara's hit-skip. Ben thinks he may be paranoid about Jordan wanting Ciara and gets Victor to call off the hit on Jordan. All Anna wants to do is get married. Tony says they need to wait, as he has been named CEO of DiMera. While the heart transplant worked, Julie's new heart is beating too slow. Jack convinces Abe to return to his post as Salem's mayor. Dr. Rolf's flash drive contains sinister information. Kate considers working at Titan. With his mother on the mend, Lucas heads to Europe. Pretending she is the picture of mental health, Jordan invites Ben to David's birthday party. Alone in her apartment, Jordan vows to destroy everyone with a party they will never forget. Pretending she wants to help Julie, who needs a pacemaker, Gabi silently vows she will destroy anyone she considers responsible for Stefan's death. Part of her plan is to run DiMera the way Stefan would have. Xander tries to persuade Nicole not to tell Eric that Sarah is pregnant. Alone in the mansion, Hope takes down Stefano's portrait.
 
10/21/19-10/25/19: Adrienne accepts Justin's marriage proposal. After a night of lovemaking, Jack gets down on one knee and asks Jennifer to be his bride. She says a thousand times yes. Haley accepts Jack's apology for almost getting her deported. Ben is thrilled when he learns Jordan was not driving the car that almost mowed down Ciara. While preparing for David's first birthday, Jordan poisons Ciara's cupcake. Jordan panics when Ari gives the doctored cupcake to the baby. Luckily, the infant refuses to eat it. As Lani and Eli are tasting wedding cakes for their upcoming wedding, Gabi arrives on the scene. While Gabi appears happy for the couple-to-be, Lani recalls Gabi making her gravel after Stefan's shooting, After Stefan's funeral, Gabi envisions Stefan. She tells the vision Lani will dump Eli at the altar. Julie's pacemaker surgery is successful. Hope appears to be morphing into Princess Gina. Hope hangs Stefano's portrait in Dr. Rolf's lair. Victor is disgusted when Brady confirms that Kristen is carrying his child. While Brady insists he is there for the baby, not her, a cunning Kristen has other plans.
 
10/28/19-11/1/19: Gabi orders Lani to dump Eli at the altar. If not, she'll make certain Julie's pacemaker malfunctions. She has power, as the device was created by one of Stefan's tech companies. Jack and Jennifer revel in their reconnected romance. Rolf panics when Princess Gina - who has total control of Hope - vanishes. Found by Rolf, she says she has one desire: to be with the love of her life, John Black. Jack warns a menacing Rolf to stay away from Jennifer. Everyone realizes Jordan is still psychotic when Rafe is given cyanide and a vial of it drops out of Ben's backpack. JJ arrives as Jordan is planning to run off with baby David. Jordan clobbers JJ, who is found by Ben. At Ciara's, Jordan tries to convince her that Ben is responsible for the poisoning. Ben arrives on the scene as Jordan is trying to force Ciara to come with her. When Jordan runs off with the baby, Ben takes off after her. He finds the baby, but Jordan escapes. Jordan plots to destroy her Salem enemies. Xander is confused when Hope morphs into Princess Gina. Ben's spooky Halloween nightmare has Salem citizens involved in mayhem.

11/4/19-11/8/19: As everyone searches for Jordan, Ben continues to fear she will harm Ciara. Eli and Lani march down the aisle. Blackmailed by Gabi, Lani jilts Eli at the alter. Marlena, who was officiating, is stunned. As Marlena is about to pronounce Eli and Lani man and wife, Lani stops the ceremony. Gabi, who's using her ability to cause Julie to have a heart attack, quietly gloats. Blindsided by the events, Eli presses Lani for an answer. She says she doesn't love him enough. With fresh marriage certificates, Adrienne and Justin and Jack and Jennifer have Marlena marry them. As Jack is celebrating his marriage, he hears Jennifer scream and watches as she goes over the balcony. Following emergency surgery, Jennifer slips into a coma. Jack thinks Rolf pushed her over the balcony. In fact, it was Gina, who feared Jennifer would activate Rolf's flash drive and that would be the end of Princess Gina. Pretending to be Hope, Gina sneaks into Jennifer's hospital room and prepares to smother her with a pillow. Eric warns Brady not to trust Kristen. Nicole daydreams that she told Eric Sarah was carrying his baby and he walked out on her. Xander presses Maggie to stay in Salem. Ben is horrified when he goes to the house and finds Ciara underneath a pile of rubble. Eric is stunned when he learns Sarah is carrying his child. Staying at the bedside of the comatose Jennifer, Jack keeps turning over the hourglass. When Jennifer comes to, he tells her he has been at her side for a year. Brady gives into his desire for Kristen.
 
11/11/19-11/15/19: What a difference a year makes. Ciara believes Victor set Ben up for Jordan's murder. Ciara lets Victor think Ben, who is in jail for the crime, is the culprit, working with Ben to prove his innocence. Bitter with Lani for dumping him at the altar, Eli quits his job as police commissioner and is working with Gabi. With Tony and Anna living in Europe, Gabi has Chad and Abby move in with her. Abby wants to move. Chad says he can't because Stefano is alive and they are working to destroy Gabi. Will, Ben's cellmate, is in jail for killing Adrienne. Rafe's nanny, Evan, is interested in Sonny. Brad is dealing with the death of the child he and Kristen were expecting. Everyone is searching for Lani and Kristen. They are serving as nuns in the same parish. Out of her coma, Jennifer pledges her love to Jack. Jennifer insists she did not fall off the terrace; she was pushed. Justin is representing Eve. Mourning Haley, JJ is back on drugs Running into Brady at the park, JJ blames him and Kristen for Haley's death. Kayla is thrilled with her love life. John tells Roman that Marlena is very distant. Walking into his home, John is stunned to find Hope. At John's place, Hope, taken over by Gina, prepares to seduce John.
 
11/18/19-11/22/19: Ben is stunned when Clyde, who is also in prison, says he has found a way to free him. When Ben says no way, Clyde is too late; his plan is already started. Stefano challenges Chad to a chess game. Abby tells Chad she will not tell anyone about Stefano's latest resurrection. Sonny tries to reassure Will that he does not blame him for Adrienne's murder. Hattie tells prison mate Eve she can make a fortune if she writes a book about the Jack and Jennifer story. JJ continues to unravel over Haley's death. Hope (Gina) plans to seduce John are ruined when Marlena comes home. While Marlena wants her out of the house, John thinks they should let her stay awhile longer. Jack is back running the Spectator and Abby is his ace reporter. Ray, one of Victor's henchmen, abducts baby Mackenzie. When Ciara shows up at the hideaway, Ray pushes himself on her. Eric asks Nicole to marry him.
 
11/25/19-11/29/19: Ciara finds baby Mickey and turns her over to Xander. After he places the baby in Sarah's arms, Xander gives Sarah a kiss, which he regrets, and tells her he loves her, which he does not regret. After telling Eric he, not Xander, is the baby's daddy, Nicole fears she had lost her forever. Barging into the mansion, Eric demands to see his child. Brady is trying to process the loss of his full-term baby by Kristen, and her leaving town without saying where she is going. Lani and Kristen are preparing to say their final vows as they bond at the monastery. Trying to deal with Haley's death, JJ continues his downward spiral with drug use. JJ blames Kristen for the loss of the love of his life. Ben is unhappy when Clyde tells him he has hatched a plan for Ben to escape the death penalty. An appalled Ben tells his miscreant father to stay out of it. Clyde says it is too late. Stefano contacts Chad. At first, Abby thinks it is a trick, but Chad makes her a true believer. Gina (Hope) continues her plot to destroy Marlena and John's marriage so she can be with him. Sonny tries to accept Justin and Kayla's relations. In jail for Adrienne's death, Will grapples with life without Sonny and freedom. Gabi and Eli are a romantic couple. Chad vows to wrest DiMera Enterprises from Gabi. Having finished Stefano's portrait, Hope (Gina) reveals Stefano's new face and it is Patch (Steve). After Sonny gives seal of approval, Justin asks Kayla to move in with him. Abby does not believe Eve pushed Jennifer over the railing. Hattie and Eve share thanksgiving prison style.

12/2/19-12/6/19: When Clyde pulls a shiv on Will, Ben steps in and is stabbed. With minor injuries, Ben is placed back in his cell. Will says he saved his life and forgives him for when the out-of-control Ben tried to strangle him all those years ago. Evan makes an advance on Sonny, but Sonny thinks of Will and Will's responsibility for Adrienne's death. Kayla turns down Justin's request that she move into the mansion. She happily agrees when he agrees to move in with her. Stefano tells Gina that they need to work together. He wants to be with the only woman he ever loved, Marlena, and Gina wants to be with John. Marlena tells Jennifer that John is being obtuse when he does not. Marlena tells Jennifer she cannot get Hope to move out of the penthouse. JJ, blaming Kirsten for Haley's death, wants to get even with her. Abby pressures Hope into letting her seeing the file on Jennifer being pushed over the balcony. An unhappy and unseen Hope watched as Abby looked through the files to help prove that Eve did not push Jennifer. Eric is thrilled that he has a baby daughter but furious that Nicole did not tell him a year ago. Nicole overhears Eric tell Brady that he will never allow Nicole back in his life but he would always be around for Holly. Abe is pleased when Lani calls from a monastery. She does not say where she is or who she is with. Kristen tells her fellow novice she wants to give her DiMera fortune to the church. Kristen says she did not mean to kill Haley, but she did and she cannot forgive herself. Not wanting to deal with all the issues with DiMera, Kate waits tables at the Brady pub. Kate and Roman are bonding. Xander is heartbroken when Eric says he will share custody with Sarah and the baby as long as Xander is out of the picture. At first, Xander is furious. Then, he realizes Eric is right; it is dangerous for the baby to be near him. Before leaving, Xander tells Sarah he loves her. She responds with a hot kiss. Unable to deal with Haley's death, JJ turns to drugs. Running out of pills, JJ steals them from the hospital nursing station. Always hot to trot, Gabi and Eli plan to be certain that she, not Chad stays at the top. Chad meets with his father. It is a Roman holiday when Eli heads to the convent in Rome where Kristen is staying. He needs to see her get the DiMera Corp stocks. JJ follows him. JJ wants to kill Kristen for her part in Haley's death. Kristen finds herself staring down the barrel of JJ's gun.
 
12/9/19-12/13/19: Eric and Sarah head to Boston to get cancer therapy for Mickey. Maggie is outraged when Eric orders Xander to stay away from Mickey or he will seek full custody of his daughter. Desperate to know what is wrong with Mickey, Xander breaks into Kayla's office just as she is entering. Kate is outraged when she realizes Sonny is attracted to Evan. Confronting Stefano, who has been given Steve's body as his host by Rolf, Kate agrees to keep his secret. Hope in Gina mode fears Abigail is getting too close to truth that she pushed Jennifer off the balcony. Gabi and Chad's plans to get Kristen's DiMera shares hit a snag when Kristen decided to keep the shares and take over the company. Visiting Will in prison, Justin says he loves him like a son, even though he caused Adrienne's death. Will asks Sonny for a divorce. Facing the death penalty, Ben is stunned when his lawyer quits. Ciara gets Justin to take over the case. Marlena is frosty when Xander tries to talk to her. John agrees to tell Hope it is time she moved on. Rafe is bothered by Hope's curious behavior. Ciara plans to get close to Xander so she can prove Victor hired him to kill Jordan. Xander is suspicious when he realizes his metal attache case has been switched. Heading to Boston with Sarah for Mickey's cancer treatment, Eric tells Xander he does not want him to check on the baby's treatment. Hope panics when the surveillance camera, in effect when Jennifer was pushed over the balcony, is revealed. Ben finds a dead rat on his prison bed. Jack gives Jennifer the perfect homecoming.
 
12/16/19-12/20/19: Called to the prison by Will, Sonny is crushed when Will insists on a divorce. Will says they can never be together because of his responsibility in Adrienne's death. Sonny tells Evan he is going to agree to Will, even though Will is the love of his life. Out of solitary, Clyde taunts Ben about his impending death sentence. When Ben claims Justin will prove his innocence, Clyde laughs and says they need to think outside the box. A source at the prison tells Victor that Ciara has made numerous visits. When Ciara says she went there to see Will, not Ben, Victor contacts the source to know who Ciara is visiting. While Eric and Ciara are in Boston getting cancer treatment for Mickey, a glum Xander is unhappy when he finds Ciara in his office. The two snipe but find common ground. As Rafe arrives, searching for Rolf, Gina - in Hope mode - pushes Stefano out the door. With nowhere to go, Stefano seeks help from Kate. Kate sneaks him into her room at the Brady pub. Back in Salem, Kristen and Lani have a spa day and then plan a way to reclaim their lives. Eli brings JJ home from Italy. While detoxing in the hospital, JJ has a vision of Haley. The vision tells him he must stop being bitter and plotting to kill Kristen, and to get off drugs. The IT guy who was blackmailed by Stefano makes it look like Rolf pushed Jennifer off the balcony. Gabi is furious when Eli tells her he did not ask Kristen for her DiMera shares. Marlena pressures John to tell Hope it is time to move out. Hope/Gina is furious when John tells her he has no romantic feelings for her and says she must move. Looking through Rolf's lair, Rafe finds many objects that have a connection to Stefano. Stefano panics when Marlena knocks on the door. Gabi is stunned when Kristen says she not turning over her DiMera stock.
 
12/23/19-12/27/19: Rafe is confused by Hope's cool demeanor when he arrives at Rolf's liar. Thinking Kate is ailing, Marlena pays her a visit. Stefano hides, but can barely contain himself from revealing his presence. When Marlena walks into the room she is startled when she sees Stefano's ring. Kate explains she got it from Andre. John and Abe wonder if Stefano is in town. For the holidays, John decides to visit son Paul in Chicago. Abe is heading to see Theo who has made full recovery from being shot by JJ. Abigail convinces JJ to tell Jack and Jennifer about his drug addiction. They all promise to be at his side during his recovery. Stefano decides to hide as the hospital Santa. Kayla has a strange feeling when she looks "Santa" in his eyes. Kristen and Lani put their plans to regain their lives into play. Ben has a Christmas visit from Ciara. Eve is released from prison. Xander heads to Chicago to see Sarah. The Hortons trim the Christmas tree.
 
12/30/19-1/3/20: John is flabbergasted when he learns Marlena has asked Hattie to stay with them. Hattie gets Roman to give her a job at the pub. Despite all her sexual plays, Roman assures Hattie they will only have a professional relationship. Kayla is certain Steve was present at Christmas. Sarah is thrilled when Xander pays her a surprise visit in Boston. She is touched when he gives her his late mother's bracelet. In Kate's room at the pub, Hattie finds Stefano. He convinces her he is Steve on assignment. At Julie's Place, formerly Doug's Place, everyone welcomes in the New Year and is stunned when Steve arrives. Kayla assures Justin he is the only man she wants in her life. Lani throws a plant through the Gabi Chic window. After a kiss, Nicole rand Brady realizes they are meant to be friends, not lovers. Having seen the kiss, Kristen vows she will make certain Nicole stays away from Brady. Thanks to Marlena, Ciara gets to see Ben in prison. Kate is nasty when she sees Will with Evan. At the New Year's Eve party, Stefano attends in Steve mode. Everyone is surprised he is back in town and the callous way he treats Kayla. Steve tells Marlena he is in town to find Stefano and keep her safe. When Kristen tells Brady she wants him, he says that will not happen. Kristen tells Lani she will re-win Brady. Realizing Ciara is still in love with Ben, Victor orders Xander to stay away from her. Ben, facing his last hearing in his death penalty case, is visited by Xander. Stefano, posing as Steve, tells Kayla he loves another woman.
